Absolutely great service. From the moment you walk in, someone is there to help you with anything. I don’t even worry about comparing prices. You can get in, have help when needed, and get out without the hassles of dealing with mad crowds at big box stores. This is how customer service makes a difference.

It’s a great little hardware store, but does not have great hours for those working 9-5 jobs. It carries some top brands like Big Green Egg ceramic grill and Stihl out door power tools. Employees are helpful if you can get their time.

I went there with my 5-year-old to buy gardening materials. After I finished selected my items I was rudely approached by an older gentleman who told me that if I didn’t wear a mask I could not shop in the store. He asked me if I wanted a mask and I answered no. I put down the items and headed towards the exit. As I was about to walk out I noticed several other customers not wearing a mask. I asked them if they had also been demanded to comply and they said no. The gentleman at the cash register tried to give me a half hearted excuse for the other employee’s rudeness. I told him I will not be coming back to the store. I will not be disrespected in front of my child and forced to surrender my civil liberties and “muzzle up”. I will not comply with draconian rules. I am not able to wear a mask because of …FREEDOM!! I am an American!! You don’t tell me what to do!! This is the first time I’ve had anyone at any store attempt to infringe upon my freedoms!! Not gonna happen. I would give you 0 stars if possible.

I was just there maybe 30 minutes ago. I needed a lawnmower badly and got the 1 that I liked. Everyone was amazing very nice very professional GREAT customer service. I had gone to home depot to buy a lawnmower after 15 minutes of anyone not asking if they could help I walked out. Thats when I went to Ace Hardware and I will definitely be back.. Took a tire for a zeroturn to them on a Monday at lunch called on Thursday to check to see if it was ready was told it should be ready by the end of the day. No call so I called about 1700 and was told they would call me Friday. Called on Friday with no answer. Went to the store, tire still was not fixed. So 4 days no phone call and no tire.

Great location. Got keys made and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Keys worked perfectly. Will be going there again.

Seems that if the computer cant tell you what the part is we cant help you. Too lazy to get off their stool to do anything. Its becoming extremely sad.

The slogan of Ace Hardware is something like Ace is the place for the helpful hardware store. It’s not just a slogan. This store is my go to place for hardware, plants, paint, Big Green Egg, you name it. The employees are nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Love this store!

Questionable small engine repair. Recently my power washer quit working, so I decided to go local and take it to Ace. I paid the bench fee up front and waited for a diagnosis. A little while later I received a call that the timing belt was broken and it wouldnt be reasonable/cost effective to have repaired. Instead of leaving/abandoning the power washer, I took it to a friend, who determined, and showed me, that the timing belt was NOT broken. He has ordered the part to repair the engine.I still like the store and the way people are quick to provide assistance, but will never take another engine in for repair.

The customer service here is on a whole other level that you just dont get anywhere else. Great little shop that always has the things you cant find at the bigger chains.

Went to visit this store after contemplating a leaf blower at another store. Visited a few days prior and met Billy. I am so happy I returned to meet him again. This gentleman was so kind and thoughtful. At 9am you will be attacked by the aroma of roasted peanuts and the smiles (even behind the masks) of very sweet associates. Thank you ACE!!!

Small and bad hours, but always seem to have things Lowes and Home Depot dont have.

Found just what we were looking for. We also found Miracle-Gro for trees and shrubs (weve seen this nowhere else)!! Everyone was great and helpful.

Terrible lawn mower repair. Spoke to a heavyset african american guy named Billy who claimed to be a mechanic and manager their. My son knew more than this guy did and had to wait 3 weeks for them to tell me they could not fix my lawn mower...Hire somebody that knows what they are talking about to talk to customers.

Always interesting coming here. I love the location and the manager/owner is always around and seems very friendly. But the staff seems to be very nonchalant. By no means are they rude but just seem to prefer you not being there..if that makes any sense?

We needed pecans to prepare for Thanksgiving. They had a sign out for fresh pecans. I went in to see a table filled with 1 pound containers of pecans and a sign on the front of the table that said, 1 pound of pecans $10.99, 2 pounds $19.99. I took two to the counter and when she rang it up as $21.98 I corrected her. The bizarre conversation with an unfriendly, math handicapped clerk went this way, Me: The sign says 2 pounds for $19.99. HER: But this is one pound. ME: But there are two of them. HER:but they are not two pounds. ME: Sure its two pounds. HER: No they are one pound.,I gave up and paid her. First and last visit.

This was my goto place for lawnmower parts but now the one guy that was always willing to help me isnt there anymore, the other guy behind the counter wont even acknowledge me without my owners manual and serial #s from equipment that I bought there. I mean just look it up. It cant be that hard.

I stopped in to get a small bag if potting mix to repot peace Lilly from small container. I also took advantage of their shelled pecans & divinity.The boy scouts were selling bags & cans of popcorn 🍿 so for a worthy cause I also picked up a bag.

Truly awful experience ordering online for pickup. I got an email that it was ready to pick up so I drove out there. They said it wasnt there and I should have received a phone call when its ready to pick up. I asked how I was supposed to know to wait for a phone call. She said it like I should know to wait for a phone call and acted like this whole problem was my fault. Cashier was rude and unhelpful. She was never apologetic or tried to figure out how the issue came to be. Called the corporate office and they verified that someone at the store made a mistake and marked that they had received the item when they had not. I dont mind mistakes, I do mind terrible customer service. I canceled my order and picked it up from Home Depot instead for almost half the cost.

Every time I come in and dont need any help, the selection has been okay, if expensive, but thats Ace and you pay extra for the convenience. The three times I actually needed to interact with the staff (Blackmon road location), I came away wondering whether they were incompetent or willfully unhelpful. Im going back to driving the extra mileage to the St. Marys road location where they are both competent and friendly.Edited:it was indeed the Blackmon road location. I see now what inspires help.

Staff are friendly and extremely helpful.10/13/20 Very disappointing visit there today. The cashier was quite difficult and was completely the opposite of what Ive encountered from other employees. She didnt have on a name tag but she is black and was wearing AL colors.

No more running to places that offer no help... only why are you bothering me at my job folks!!Walk in it close and people see who is and is not in the store and wanna help you. I would say the out side area for plants could use the same attention. Js I’m sure they will pull it together in this new store.

I use Home Depot as much as the next guy, but I am a little tired of bolts in the wrong bin, inattentive employees and advertised items not in inventory.....none of that at ACE. Still, open, reliable and helpful. Thanks.

Awesome hardware store with the best employees ever - especially Greg Allen. Prices for plumbing items are a good bit cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot. The parched peanuts are the best and shelled pecans are readily available. I go here before anywhere else when looking for lawn care items, equipment repair and parts. Grilling and gardening supplies are nicely stocked.

The young lady that worked at the cash register as I came in the front door, was the nicest and most knowledgeable person I have ever dealt with. She answered all my questions with ease and knew where every item I needed was located. Im truly impressed.

If you live in Columbus stop going to Home Depot or Lowe’s. Go to the Ace Hardware on Blackmon Road. Without a doubt the nicest people at any business I have ever encountered. I had to drop off a U-Haul trailer after hours and the manager (I assume she was the manager) offered to give me her cell number so I could call her when I dropped it off just to be sure they know it’s there and I don’t get blamed if it comes up stolen or damaged. That’s just one example.

Went to Lowes and HD on Sunday looking for a pvc fitting but neither had it. Ace had it.

Always prefer Ace to the big box stores. They hire the right people that know what they are doing for each department. The Blackmon Rd store in particular is better than the other in the area. Clean and friendly staff and quite capable of figuring out what you need, even if you dont know yourself.

Great little local hardware store. I am a firm supporter of small and locally owned businesses. The price may be slightly higher but there service and knowledge are worth it. Plus all proceeds go back into OUR community. Ace is the place.

Had a employee sync our key fob to our new vehicle, it was quick and inexpensive. 20$ when everyone else wanted appointments and 80-110 bucks. Extremely busy, but the employees really try to make sure you are taken care of.

Customer service is great! I had just left Tractor Supply because it was a little closer to my house. No one at Tractor Supply offered to help me. When I do purchase something at Tractor Supply I barely get a thank you. The lady at Tractor Supply helped me find what I needed and rang up the transaction. I dont expect anyone to roll out the red carpet, just give me good customer service. I got great customer service at ACE hardware on Blackmon road in Columbus. Thank you!

I really love Ace hardware I was in need of some keys being made and I went to a certain place tohave keys made but theyre price was way too expensive for what I wanted to pay so I end up going to Ace hardware and bam their prices are awesome. so I got a keys for my front screen door my main door and my storage unit.so if youre ever in need of keys or anything try Ace hardware out you will also find that Ace hardware is the place to go for some of your needs

Calls to tell me parts are in stock for my chainsaw. A week later I call and left on hold for 30 minutes. Tried calling back. Nobody would answer. Thats taking customers for granted. There are other places to go for repairs and new equipment.
