A very nice place to shop! Not too large and not too small, a good selection of meats and produce. We drive over from Nashville because our local IGA is expensive and does not have a good selection of meats and produce, we save shopping at Jay C and we can usually find what we are looking for.

Its a nice small grocery store. Has all the essentials you could need with a nicer feel than some bigger ones.

Why is it ok for the cashier to want you to accept less than what you are owed in change. I had a cashier just blatantly ask if it was ok to shortchange me, why is it not okay for them to round up and them to be short. Would not have been so bad but she had a roll of pennies in the drawer.

Anytime I have shopped at JayC its always been a pleasant one. The employees are always polite and respectful. The produce is fresh and the store is organized and clean. Nice store to stop in for a few items or your weekly shopping.

This is a smaller grocery store but has all the essentials. The deli and bakery are the best in town. The prices are a little higher here then the bigger stores that are close by unless there is a sale. I like coming here for the convenience of being able to run in grab what I need and get out.

This Jay C Foods Store has the best tasting, and looking meat in town. Needless to say, the freshest not counting meat lockers and family Farmers that butcher. Every time that I have been in this store, it is always clean and the employees are always nice and helpful.

This is a convenient, small grocery store with necessities and a few extras. Selection is often limited- no cosmetics, for instance, and limited variety of items. But if you want to avoid a huge store, or need the basics, this place usually does it. Jay C has helpful workers, and a surprisingly good discount section.

Smaller grocery store that carries the essentials, if you cant make a trip out to Kroger or elsewhere. Its a smaller store with less selection, but if youre in the neighborhood and in a bind for some quick items, this Jay-C is good for that. Produce can be lacking at times though. Customer service is 50/50. Ive had friendly folks assist me, and some girls who couldnt be bothered and clearly hate their day jobs.

This is ostensibly a Kroger grocery store with a bit of a personal, hometown flavor. Good variety, nice Deli and Produce sections. The Meat looked great, too!

Maybe not as fancy as kroger, but it has all the regular stuff you need. Never crowded. And there is always a cashier available.

Convince factor is a plus; BUT! Every time my room mate and myself go in there they have a announcement on the intercom that says, security to department *insert department number* it kind of feels like theyre profiling us. My husband has even noticed it when hes been in there. All the employees just watch everything, its creepy. I dont know if its a standard procedure in the store but it should probably stop. I feel very uncomfortable when I go in there to grocery shop. Im not stealing anything, chill out!

We have lived on the west side of Columbus for 30 years. Unfortunately, one of the two choices we have for groceries is the Jay C Food store on Jonathan Moore Pike. Customer service and overall store management is lacking at this location. I shopped at this store today. When the cashier charged too much for a sale items, the only response I received was you must go to the Customer Service counter for help.That could solve the problem, however no employees were at the Customer Service counter. After waiting for 5 minutes, I asked a cashier to page someone to the Customer Service area. When a person arrived, they did not offer any real customer service. Unfortunately, this is the general attitude encountered at this facility.While I am not a huge fan of Walmart, at least they offer better customer service than this Jay C Food store. Walmart is less than 2 miles from this store with lower prices.

I’ve lost count of how many bad experiences I’ve had here. Most of them related to spoiled items. I’ve brought home sausage, other types of pork, chicken, beef, and yogurt only to open them the SAME DAY or next day and smell totally rancid and ruined. They must be doing some magic with food coloring and have very poor refrigeration. I’ve stopped here out of convenience so far, but will now drive to the other side of town for groceries.

Love they make you a custom sandwich for lunch. Its good an inexpensive

I have shopped at JC & Kroger my entire adult life & I like those two stores better than Walmart.

It will work in a pinch. Unfortunately I have shopped here a few times and they would be sold out of sale items and no personnel to see if there was any more in the back. Not always the most friendly cashiers. I will go to the Walmart down the road for wider selection and in stock.

If I dont watch at checkout, I always get overcharged with cashiers acting like its not a big deal. They leave old sale signs up and say they cant do anything about it. Plus, in order to get most advertised prices, you have to follow the rules to a t and they seem to get more complicated and/or it still wont ring up right. I used to live this grocer, now I avoid it at all costs.

Could use renovations but the staff is great and you can find what you need.

They seem to have everything Ive ever needed, layout a little odd though. Sure beats having to deal with the crowds at Walmart and Kroger.
