Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff know their business....inside and out!!! Theyve helped me keep an in ground pool going for over 25 years! After taking weekly water samples for all those years, they are almost like family, and can even diagnose some problems from just a phone call! Thanks, Modern Pool!!!
They are great with one on one interactions to make sure youre getting what you need and you know how to use it. They were also good about not trying to up-sell. As a former salesman I can spot an up-sell or deviation from truth a mile away.Thank you guys for the Big Green Egg! I love it and a couple guys bought an Egg from you on my recommendation.

In general, Modern Pool and Spa staff are very friendly people and they will take the time to teach you anything you need to know, which has come in very handy. However, their lack of organization is slightly infuriating.First, apparently only one person in the business knows whether or not my purchases are on credit and it couldnt be determined until that person came back from vacation. I could be wrong here, but technology (which they have) should keep these items on file.Secondly, in regards to what I think is a time emergency in order to get the pool cleaned in time for winterization, I was told a litany of times of when they would be able to service my pool in Starkville. As they are based out of Columbus, I understand that the technicians need to get things done efficiently and with care when they do visit outside of Columbus. What I dont understand is how when I asked where exactly I was on the schedule to get my pool vaccuumed for algae, no one knew. Im in my second day now of waiting after I was told that it would get done yesterday (10/8/13). Since it wasnt done yesterday I was told that it would done first thing this morning. Nope. That didnt happen. When I called back to get a time approximation for today, again, no one knew. All that was said was Itll get done today, which is exactly what was said yesterday when nothing was indeed done.I dont know about many of you out there on the interwebs, but I have a full time job, taking graduate level classes, and taking care of two households at the moment. I DO NOT appreciate the lackadaisical approach to schedules. My family and I spend enough money at Modern Pool and Spa, not to mention driving to and fro to Columbus for said business, to not be treated as respected customers when in dealing with our time.You have a time frame? Great. Ill be ready, but dont feed me lies in hopes that it should pacify me enough to wait just another day.
