I realized I needed to call in a one-stop professional after selling a few items on ebay and realizing it would be months (years?) before I was able to work through selling a several thousand coin collection (with some valuable coins but many many mid range value coins and even more that were not very valuable at all). I was quite hesitant to do so as I was leery of getting ‘taken’. After doing my homework and researching various options I decided to go with Appraisal Services, in large part due to the company’s history and ample, positive set of google reviews. Eric totally met our expectations — he was open and transparent about how he prices, he was highly knowledgeable, and he was flexible around concerns I had. He also gave us a reasonable valuation based on wholesale prices and what he believes he can resell the items for — we made a good return, and he will make a good return as well. A win win! It was also a plus that he did some homework ahead of time (based off our inventory list) and then came to our home for the final few hours remaining in the process — those coins can get heavy and bulky! All in all, a well deserved five stars for Appraisal Services!

We had a great experience with Eric. I had a medium sized family coin collection in storage for years and had all of the stereotypical concerns about the possibility of being taken advantage of. Those concerns were laid to rest with the first phone call. I took the collection to Eric for an appraisal and he took the time to look though and assess everything we had. He patiently explained how values are established and was transparent about what fair market values were (even handed us some of his reference books to see what he was looking at). At the end he gave us a fair and honest appraisal of what he thought the collection was worth and made an equally fair offer to buy it with zero pressure one way or the other. Had a fabulous experience dealing with Eric and his son. I set an appointment with him to appraise a large coin collection. He and his son, helped me to his office with the 1,000 + lbs of coins, took the time to diligently go through all of it in one day, while I waited. There were hundreds of different items to identify and value, and thousands of coins to count. Erics encyclopedic knowledge the different currency coins and collectors sets was amazing....hes definitely expert in this field. He made a great offer for the entire collection and I accepted. I know the offer was fair since I did enough research to know the values of various items in the collection prior to our meeting. Eric is an excellent communicator and genuine. I should probably wait until im not as angry but... I came here after being referred and hearing nothing but the best about this place only to find a locked door and nobody answered my phone calls. I literally drove from the other side of Columbus to specifically deal with them. Im already not happy for my reasons behind the vist in this instance, but wasted time, effort, and fuel... Im beyond irritated. They should really make sure the times online are accurate if times they are open for business vary.
