On August 17 we made a trip to the store with our family of nine. When we walked in we were greeted to a sign that said wait for someone to help you. No one physically greeted us when we walked in, so we were a little lost on what was okay to do.It was well over 15 minutes. When an associate who you could barely hear started directing someone else to them who walked in the store after us, so I walked over to her and asked a question about if they had any of the birthday bears available. She said they were out and I understand since its just after the weekend.I then asked if she knew when they would be getting more of a selection in because unfortunately what was in stock none of our kids are into. She repeated herself saying this is all we have right now. She then mentioned to maybe check online.I then tried to ask my question in a different way and said we are from out of town and will be here for a few days, Do you know when you will be getting more animals in stock? (I have worked in retail before, generally the truck arrives once or twice a week to replenish supplies)She replied again that this is what we have in stock right now. To say the least I was frustrated so we left with several unhappy kids, but I would rather take my business somewhere else where they will go the extra mile for us, especially with the prices that are charged at a Build-A-Bear. We understand it is about the experience, because our older children have each made one of their own and were looking forward to having are two youngest get their own Build-A-Bear.
Build a bear is a very cute place to take a child to build their own special one of a kind teddy bear! They literally being the stuffed animals to life right in front of you! You pick the skin/fur, they stuff it, you even put a little heart in the bear before they stich it up! Then you bathe your bear, shop for clothes and accessories, and you create your bears birth certificate. You also get a cute little box for your bear (costs extra now). All in all its a very cute experience for your child to remember their special bear forever! And the prices are not too bad either! Id say between $35-$60 will get you lots of good stuff!
The kids really enjoyed their first visit to build a bear. The idea was great. All my issues arose from being a first timer! The store was not labeled well. We waited in a line for 15 minutes before being told we were in the wrong line and had to go to the 35 minute line on the other side of the store! Then there were only 2 employees for the entire store. One kept having to run from the register back to the machines to make animals. We figured something must have been wrong with staffing?
Everyone was friendly and willing to help. Would have just liked to see more boyish clothes that werent sports or superheroes.
Friendly staff clean store and fun for the kids would def recommend and will go back again have been there several times and not a bad experience yet
It may be great, however the time listed on both the sign and the website are incorrect. My daughter and I showed up after our trip to Macys and were very sad to find it closed. My daughter was perfect our entire shopping trip anticipating her trip to build a bear that night, that could not come.
Great place to purchase a teddy bear to love. Still have some things that are shut down due to restrictions but very open to public.
Super friendly staff! My son always loves the Build-A-Bear experience!
Was in the area for a dance competition my daughter was so excited to go get a new outfit for her bear that she already has. Arrived 15 minutes before they close again we were just running in to get an outfit lady came to the door and said we’re closed I understand last minute shoppers are annoying but the closing time was still 15 minutes we would’ve had plenty of time to get an outfit and be out before they closed.
Okay so I had a great time here. My daughter who is 5 and I who turned 25 yesterday came in for the first time ever yesterday and Katie and Emily made me feel like any other birthday girl gave me a sticker and all of the employees told me happy birthday. My daughter was so happy and really enjoyed picking through the clothes and loved!! The hair bows! Only thing is I wish they had clothes that allowed the characters tails to go through so that way the dragons could have clothes on that arent only dresses and skirts and I wish they had the back pack clips like online. the dragons were bigger than I thought it would be so that was a plus at well. Thank you guys so much for the birthday wishes and letting my daughter explore the store and be her loud happy self without being told to calm down or no she cant try on three outfits on her dragon before picking the perfect shirt for her!
Nice and friendly. Just this place dont let you help fill the animals where other places do im from Cincinnati and was doing 1 special we would of waiting if we knew that not all places dont let you. Push the button.
First timers, really enjoyed our trip. Clean and efficient operation, reduced crowds due to Covid.
Great customer service! I made nice family memories there! Thank you!
Build a Bear at Easton. 16 person capacity due to pandemic. Waited our turn to go in, out in the cold evening weather with other customers because of the covid. Social distancing enforced but not all customers complied. Establishment clean and organized. Some members of the staff friendlier than others. Prices are on the high end but the look of happiness on my granddaughters face was worth every red cent. She picked out a build a kitty for her birthday. Her experience was delightful and that is what matters most..
They went out of their way to unstuff our prestuffed bear. Let us do a voice recorder. And hand stitched it back. FANTASTIC service
Great staff. Very friendly. Might have a line outside.
Had an amazing time at this Build A Bear! Carleigh was very helpful and kind! :)
Friendly staff and amazing products
Awesome staff my daughter loves it
Great staff and selection to choose from 😁👏🏽💯❤
I took my 3 year old grandson for his first bear. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful but the prices have definitely changed since I took my youngest daughter. It was still a good experience with him and we will be back. The safety precautions due to the pandemic certainly has made things a bit less enjoyable though.
The ultimate stuffy experience 🐻🐕🦄
Downsized store from the original, less accessories to look at......3 stars because I did not see any law enforcement clothing..not cool
Helpful staff and a large range of accessories for your bears
Very nice employee that help us with my grandchildren. Enjoy stopping at the store
Great experience with my granddaughter!
Great shopp
Took one of my grandsons today and he loved it.
Never been in one till here. Very nice staff and good place for kids. They were having a sale.
Very cute experience!
Great place for kids
The employee helping my daughter build her bear was very nice and did a great job with the presentation. The layout could be better labeled. Why not hang some big 1 2 3 numbers from the ceiling indicate where to start for the first timers?Another star lost for pushing extras at the register. Are you a rewards member? No. Would you like to join? No. Would you like a backpack? No. Would you like to buy gift cards for your next visit at half off? No. (Although I should had jumped at the opportunity and resold a stack at 75% face value)Overall a cheaper route than the American Girl doll store.
Really expensive but the kids love it. They make the experience fun for the kids and there are tons of clothes and accessories to pick from. They could have had more actual animals to pick, they were out of a lot of things but you can order things online too.
Love this place
Good workers, quick service
Took our son for his birthday and had a good time.
My nephew love every moment of getting his stuff animal woth sounds and a smell.
Everyone was absolutely amazing. They knew exactly what we wanted to do and helped us every step of the way!
Great for kids
Not the best was short handed on stuff animals only had like 8 to choose from long line out the door...
Great place! Son built his favorite characters had a blast doing his first build. Staff were AWESOME aiding him do the process of making his new favorite toys.
Everytime Ive been has been great and this time was no exception. 10/10
Its Build A Bear. Over priced teddy bears but it makes the kid happy.Went in to get his birthday bear for 2 bucks (pay their age) and were told they are discontinuing the program because of people abusing it. Seen nothing online about it, so they still honored it. Not sure of policy now but Id definitely check.
They had such a small selection of animals
Bought a bear for my grandson as a gift from his uncle in Navy boot camp. His uncle had left a recording of his voice for us to put into the bear, my grandson has slept with it every night for the last 3 months. Best gift we could have given him.
Great place to shop for stuffed animals.
Took my daughter to Build-A-Bear for the first time ever and she had a blast and admittedly I had a great time with her. The people working there were so helpful! It was just all around a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back again in the future
Love Build a Bear. Its a fun experience for the kids. It CAN get a bit pricey. Sign up for the rewards club to help get those coupons and discounts. They typically run sales and thats the best time to go... during a sale!! It can get busy here, with long and slow moving lines...but the kids seem to enjoy the experience regardless. Weekdays seem to be the best times to visit or weekend mornings.
My girls really enjoyed Build a Bear. I thought it was really neat you can create the bears a birth certificate and you can buy clothing for them. My girls love the bears.
I got stuffed frog. he is soft and I love him. 12/10
The staff members were kind, friendly, and efficient. I don’t feel like they had a huge selection of stuffed animals to choose from (maybe ever BaB is like this and I just don’t know!?). Honestly it seemed like they had more clothes and accessories than stuffed animals to choose from. Clean and nice location though and we were in and out in a reasonable time!
The staff is always very kind and helpful whether I have children in the store with me or its just me making bears! The bears can get pricey when you add in clothes, shoes and accessories but its a very fun experience! They also send nice coupons when you join their club. If there is ever an issue with your bear either, simply take it back. I know 1 of my sons bears tore at the seem the weekend after we bought it. We brought it back to the store and they stitched it all back up and with no additional charge!
Employees are amazing with the kids. Plenty of things on sale and bears are decently priced for the experience. Kids loved it and were happy to put the hearts in their bears.
The smiles on my childrens faces when we go here is worth every penny spent. The workers make it magical for the kids!
The kids love this place, with so many accessories for what ever friend you decide to make. The downfall, youre getting a $60 stuffed animal. My kids have many animals from Build a Bear and most quickly fall the wayside as something they carry around or sleep with, except my son still has one, that (at 6 years old) has been a life-time friend for bedtime and even went with him when he recently had surgery, etc.So maybe all the other overpriced stuffed animals even out for this one that still holds a place in his heart.
My three year old enjoyed picking out his first bear today. Awesome experience.
My daughter always loves Build A Bear. She wanted Light Fury from the new How to Train Your Dragon movie. Its kind of expensive to get anything there. It cost $52 for the dragon, a little T-shirt, a tutu, and a sound. She has about 10 different animals from there.
Ordered a bear for valentines days, bit of a rush so I ordered it on 2-08-20 and paid the extra shipping to be sure I got it before the 14th.It came on the 10th, except I ordered it dressed with a valentines days shirt. Not only was it not dressed, but the shirt wasnt even there. I only ordered two things and got half the order.I called and was on hold for over an hour, so gave up and hung up.Sent an email to support and got no response other than the auto response confirmation that the email was received. After days waiting for a response I waited until the 13th and drove 30 miles to the closest build a bear, where I was told that issue had to be sorted with a phone call. So, after waiting another half hour to talk to someone they apologized and shipped a new shirt.I got it today, the 28th.Two weeks after valentines day. Thanks build a bear, it was be very unlikely for me to purchase from here again.
Kids had fun building their new friends. Organized with items easy to find. Staff very kind to my children.
We tried to not get pulled in by the sales, but the holidays were around the corner and we need a present for the little one. Turns out the place is really enjoyable for the kids. They get to jump and play while creating their toy. Makes you feel like a kid again.
Workers were so sweet and friendly. My son had a great first experience !
Currently in line for well over an hour because they are having a sale. Several employees just walking around and only one operator working the stuffing machine. With it being busy why not use the other 3 stations to get things moving?
I loved taking the kids here. The layout for building has improved since they moved. The spacing in the retail area can get crowded at times. But the experience is consistent in building a bear for the young ones and I appreciate that.
Amazing associates who are wonderful with the children. And a great selection of animals to choose.
Very family friendly. Great with kids
The worker that did the heart ceremony was Amazing! So Prophetic to Speak to these children and how their hearts stay warm, always high never low, on your cheeks cause your cute, on your ears cause you listen well, on your heart full of love.. now give it a wish n put the heart in your Bear.. WOW Thank you ladies for Declaring Words of LIFE thru our (grand) children !!! AbunDANCE for yall !!
Wonderful service and great fun for kids. My daughter had to leave the store multiple times to get sick. We kept going back to finish picking out her stuffed animal and accessories . The associate was so nice and felt so bad that she gave my daughter a 10$ gift certificate for the next visit. We did leave with her stuffed animal which she hugged the whole ride home.
Took my son after getting a 10$ coupon in my email and after going through the entire process of stuffing and naming, the checkout girl said the coupon wouldnt scan and the only option I was given was pay full price or leave the newly stuffed bunny. We left and spent our money at the toy store next door. Thankfully my son was little and didnt realize what happened, but what horrible customer experience for something that wasnt our fault and over a childrens toy. Wont be going back.
Im from Maryland and in Ohio to visit family and wanted to take my three year old niece to build her first bear with my 11 year old daughter whos an old pro at building bears by now...We go to one in our mall in Maryland all the time and we even had her 8th b-day party there. I say all that to let you know that Im familiar with build a bear. This one though fell short.....The staff was not all that friendly and when we asked for help they acted like they didnt want to be bothered and a few of them were short with us. I will be fair and add that it was busy and crowded but I didnt get the happy, sunny, enthusiastic vibe I usually get from the ones in Maryland. I mean we are spending a ridiculous sum on a bear....Please be happy when you take my money...But all in all the kids had fun....Work on Customer service please.
So fun!!!! We made cute owls!!
Build your own bear. Pick out the best body, step on the stuffing pedal to stuff it. Give it a bath. pick out overpriced clothes, and wah lah. You built a bear.
First time taking the kids. They loved the experience of building their own animals with the great help of the employees.
I ordered a Fluttershy from here for a good, new friend for Christmas. It not only arrived early, but it is brimming with stuffing! I was worried there might not be a lot of stuffing in it, but they did amazing. Everything was so well put together.
We were there Black Friday. Not overly busy. The wait line set up was confusing and we were charged twice for sound. The kids had a great time - thats what its all about.
Would be 5 stars but the cost is a bit out of line with the product. As far as the experience was concerned that was definitely a five-star experience for the kids.
The employees are very friendly and great with the kids. My granddaughter always loves going there.
Oh, my gosh!!!! The staff of this BaB Workshop is FANTASTIC! They handled the corporate special event Pay Your Age with calm and grace. Each customer was treated as if they were the ONLY ONE in the shop.WE had a 6 hour wait- we CHOSE to wait...(Because we were so close to begin with). There were new selections, children were so EXCITED to be there....staff so considerate and kind.A real MARKETING COUP!!!WELL DONE, Easton Build a Bear!
National teddy 🐻 day! We bought a bear for $6.50, in total we spent $30!It was so much fun!
For a kids shopping experience, I expected friendlier staff. Expected it to be overpriced, and that part exceeded my expectations, especially given the low quality. I guess I just dont see the fascination here.
Such an amazing place, very magical. Making the bond between child and/or adult a very special memory that will last a lifetime.
Living in Australia and my grandchildren in America is so hard! Making a bear for each other and recording messages was the best thing ever! I love my Chewy Quinn!! Thank you!!
Great and friendly staff. Made us feel super welcome and special
Staff was awesome
Who doesnt love going to Build-A-Bear? Went there for the special Green Ranger bear. Also if you go during your childs birthday month you get the Birthday Bear priced at their age. They also run a deal where for every $25 you spend you can get a $10 gift card for $5.
Why go to the toy store and buy a beer for someone when you can make it yourself and have more fun.
Kids love it! Not sure why getting to put the stuffing in makes it better, but I guess it does! Be careful, they get you on the accessories! Does your bear really need roller skates?
Very friendly and easy to find everything you need. Staff was great!
I love this place. This has been my childhood since I can remember, great customer service and I have 17 bears from here
Very pleased with the service, my daughter loves her birthday bear 😁👍👍
So many choices. My kids loved their time here, they got so excited. Clothes are just as expensive as the bears. Ridiculously priced.
