I had not been into the store in a very long time but l was happy l stopped by when l did. I am pleased to say that l was surprised with the selection and price for the items l was looking for. Also the staff was helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with.If you have not been by in a while for one reason or another give em a try. Shopping local when you can makes a very big difference in your local economy in more ways than you may know.

I dropped my Gibson Historic off to have pickup covers soldered on. To be honest I was a little nervous about it but Cody did an awesome job working on my guitar. He listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. I am very impressed with his work and would not hesitate to take a guitar to him. Great job Cody!

Always a pleasure to visit. Over the years I have probably bought a dozen or more guitars from Gary at Everything Musical. I kind of have my eye on the Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster currently. I played on it for probably a half hour or so yesterday and it was an absolute blast. The whole staff there is always very knowledgeable and friendly. First experience at Everything Musical. Couldnt be more pleased. Called late in the day from out of town and they squeezed us in. They even stayed a little after closing time to finish repairing my sons saxophone. Everyone in the store was friendly and knowledgeable. Their love of music shows. This will increase your profit margins.Last: consider opening up the interior of the building so customers can turn right, strait, or left, when first entering the building. I got my saxophone here in 6th grade(now a sophomore) and it was pretty good at first. As i got a better understanding of prices, I realized that everything is much too overpriced. The reeds, neck straps, reed cases. I recently brought in my sax to get it cleaned and a few keypads replaced. When I got it back, it just didnt play. I let another music shop look at it and they then showed me the 9 key leaks, 2 misplaced screws, and broken key. I assure you that my saxophone played perfectly before I brought it for its cleaning that day. Im very disappointed and hope no other musician has had this happen to them. My band director informed me that Everything Musical has caused MANY problems among her students throughout the years. If I get it fixed at Everything Musical (for what they did to it) it will end up costing the same as the saxophone itself. I do not recommend coming here, and neither does my band director.

This place has good guitars, keyboards, drums, and bass guitars. Also decent sound equipment. I didnt appreciate this store when I was just playing the violin, but since I have been playing the guitar I have found myself coming here more often. There are a few people here I have come to know and trust about guitar stuff (although not many of them can help with violin), and they are really pretty helpful.

I got misquoted on a price for a classical guitar restring and was able to get my guitar restrung for the lower price. Excellent customer service, this is what keeps folks coming back and I definitely will. If you want an awesome experience and a great lineup of musical instruments in the Columbus area, this is absolutely the place to go.

We received exellent customer service from Jacob at Everything Musical several times this week. We rented a cello and the process was easy. Jacob also helped us pick out two sets of guitar strings tailored to our needs and preferences. The prices here are great, too!

Since the store has come under new ownership this place has really became an amazing place! Not only do they have a large variety of instruments( and better quality) they have kept their best staff and added more amazing people to their team!They have also became a place where the musical community can come together! They are doing everything right! Previously I had a 1 star review due to the old owners however now it’s definately a 5 star business!!!!

Care nothing about an emergency you may have had or if your childs instrument was locked up for months because the schools were locked down. No sympathy. Will do nothing to help with money taken for that time period.

New ownership has really turned the store around. Lower prices. Friendly staff that are less overbearing. Letting you explore is half the fun. Selection has improved. They lack a good guitar repair system though

We were in today.. My toddler let go of my hand and touched a Yuklele and it fell. I picked it up and placed it back on shelf and started looking around for someone and then this guy runs over and has a meltdown like taking it over to another worker maybe manager and it had a crack on side . He even said it cracked more when he pushed the little black box back in.. The other guy looked at it and took it to the back and came back saying it was broken couldnt be sold and we had to buy it (146.00 in mind I didnt have extra to spend and I told him that and he didnt seem to care).. So I did then the person at check out asked if I wanted a warranty I was like No I dont even want this thing. Well when I got home it didnt work because there was no battery in it so we put one in it and plugged it up to our amp and it works just fine. Was going in to rent a Tuba for my son needless to say we wont be back in that place.

Nothing beats the feel of a local music store. The expertise is unprecedented and the familial feeling is vibrant. Whether youre a local or just passing through, this place is sure to make you feel welcome. They are the only decent music store in the Greater Columbus area; everything else are dingy, mom & pop stores, and really dont share your enthusiasm with music like Everything Musical. Now, itll be more expensive than say Guitar Center, but thats to be expected with a local music store. The experience is worth it, but dont take my word for it, go check them out yourself.

Gary is a total help. Im not a great guitar player, but Everything Musical has a bunch of stuff to help me improve my sound. Amps, instruments, effects pedals, strings, wind instruments, accessories, etc. I would recommend this place to anyone needing their music criteria met. And I will be going back.

I went into Everything Musical with the intent to look at, and price trumpets for my son for band next year. It was going okay we were looking at their selection which was next to nothing by the way. Whenever I wandered towards the back of the store where the pianos and keyboard are. My toddler than jumps out of my arms to go over and play on the pianos. The staff which were nowhere to be found a minute ago run over, and freak out and say dont lean on or put pressure on the keys. I was livid really dont touch the keys to a piano?? So needless to say I bought my son a trumpet online and they didnt get my business.

I had a great experience with Everything Musical. Staff was friendly, competent and I was very pleased with my shopping experience. I felt like they understood my interests in getting quality, but value priced products. I will return for any music related purchases.

They have a pretty good selection of guitars (used to be a lot wider, though), and the prices are actually pretty standard. The staff sucks, and they are usually pretty snobby and dishonest. I bought a guitar with a locking tremolo system there and they offered to do a free setup. Well, a day later I come back to find that all they really did was just have the bridge all the way up in order to adjust the action, and they didnt even bother with the truss rod or the intonation (and both of these things definitely needed to be adjusted). I mean, who the hell offers to setup a guitar that they dont even know how to properly set up? Dont even try to talk them down either, they will just give you really phoney excuses or will walk off to another customer.

Now that gorilla guitars is closed it would be a lot better for the store to be open all days.The store is pretty good from the times Ive been in there but if needed try hiring some kids to work on Sundays and Mondays

Took my guitar for a set up, was told it was ready but it wasn’t. Neck saddle screws were loose, had pieces of old strings still stuck inside the lock insert blocks and definitely untuned. Took it the next day and this kid, acting like I don’t know what I’m talking about, gave me an attitude and still did a crappy job when I picked it up the next day. Never had a bad experience anywhere but here. Charged me $60 for a set up and couldn’t deliver. As for the rest of the store is, at best, average. Average prices, below average variety wise. You’d do better buying online or anywhere else.

Hadnt been to everything Musical in many years stopped by to have my sons Guitar looked at and restrung Larry was fantastic. Everyone there was very nice unlike it was when I went many years ago good job guys!!

Girlfriend and I went in to look at their selection. She went over and started to play the piano. She knows how to play very well and is trying to find a piano for our house. After shortly playing glassandos, a guy comes over and says to stop because she might break it. In the end, he admitted to only saying that just to make her leave. His exact words. Not sure how they have 4 stars if they treat customers like this.

If you play guitar, talk to Gary and/or Cody. They are honest, give great customer service, and they dont pressure you. Thats more than what youll get online or in Atlanta. If the price isnt right, tell them! They will work with you!

Went in for a setup on my Strat. Greeted and helped right out the gate. Opted for expedited work and was able to play on the guitars and amps available while I waited. Great selection of PRS guitars. Hardly any wait time and the staff was chill and knowledgeable. Big thank you to Jacob and Cody. My strat plays great and Ill definitely go back when Im in the market for a new guitar.

The store is overpriced, understocked, and forget about getting anybody that knows anything to help you. Also, forget about touching anything in the store. When you walk in, everything is barricaded in. I hope we get a real music store here soon so that I can shop in town instead on Amazon or at the Guitar Center in Montgomery and Atlanta.

I was a bit skeptical when I looked up this place, but turns out its the best place in town. They have the biggest selection and very, VERY relaxed AND ATTENTIVE staff. I just bought a 214ce Taylor and multiple other knick-knacks. They helped me out immensely and helped me try out some small amps and even the grandaddy amps. The day of purchase I asked them to give me some private time, I set up 3 Taylors next to each other: 114ce, 214ce, and 314ce and one Fender acoustic 150 amp. After an hour of playing I stuck with the 214ce and was very happy.They also offer lessons which I recommend, beginner or beyond. For a much more reasonable price than other places. You wont regret coming in, dont be shy! Talk to the staff and get to know them! Some great folks that will chat forever.Thanks again, Everything Musical!-Parker
