Among the Best Mom & Pop Diners in Columbus! I am a breakfast person and theirs is the cats meow! The staff is great! Pick a good time to go, as they stay busy! They also have a good lunch menu & daily specials for breakfast & lunch. Kids menu as well! They have a large counter with stools and 7 or 8 booths! You wont be disappointed! Oh ya, the coffee is very good!
It was great. I got the Greek gyro. Very generous serving. Cant wait until we go back.

This was a very good place for breakfast. It gives the vibe of the old style diners and the tables have ads for local businesses. Very cool way for the community whew I grew up to support one another. Ill be going here every time I visit my home town.

First visit here. Never knew that this Diner was a gem. Homemade coleslaw with just the right creaminess and tangy sauce. YUM! We both had the fish platter which was delicious and hot. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and fairly low noise. We arrived an hour before they closed so good timing. Will be back to try the biscuits and gravy, which sadly they ran out of today. AN update since this was written for all of you searching this site. I did go back and try the biscuit and gravy and yes!, my tastebuds were in heaven. Flavored just right and the biscuits done to perfection. Two thumbs up!

Went here for the first time the other day and it was great!! Reminded me so much of my favorite diner from my hometown. The hash browns were slappin’! The French toast was simple yet amazing! The one thing that would make this place better is if it had better hours, it’d be a great 24 hour diner!
Classic old school diner....lots of delicious food for a good price...and friendly service always....but get ther early...or make sure ur not in a hurry...place is always packed...but always worth the wait!

Dad is a breakfast food lover and this is our favorite place to go since he lives in Clintonville. Ive also been to the one in Linworth. Food and service is great at both. If you love Reuben sandwiches but yet to try the Reuben Omelette, I can highly recommend it!
A Beechwood institution. Good food. Great people. Be prepared to wait for a table. Always get house dressing on your salad. I eat here a lot.
We had the best breakfast at this diner. Food was hot and delicious. Our waitress Marsha was the best we’ve had in a long time. Had just a small wait but well worth it. Will be back if we get back this way.
I give this five stars for a small neighborhood diner atmosphere and their service is always excellent and everyone so friendly. Not to mention their food is always very good. Greek omelette, hash browns and sausage patties are delicious & always had a full cup of coffee!!

Beechwold Diner is my wife’s and my favorite breakfast place! The food is absolutely delicious and the servers are pleasant and attentive to customers’ needs. The omelets, fried potatoes, french toast, pancakes, eggs, and bacon are all excellent choices. My personal favorites are the meat omelet and french toast. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. This place will keep you coming back!
Love this place. Everyones super friendly and great prices for good food. We are regulars. I am giving 5 stars because I am not basing this on a high end restaurant. Its a dive and a great one.

Service is very fast. 2 different ladies offered to help me just as I sat down. Coffee is very good. Eggs over medium cooked perfect. Bacon extra think & crunchy an very good. Price was a little high though for what I got. They have combos that have more food for less money so kinda confused on price being almost $12 for this meal. Overall good though

It really needs to be bigger or yall need a sign because nobody wants to wait 15-20 mins to be sat when we see 3 tables just chilling and already done that just drives people away like when y’all relocate I’ll try it again till then im very very okay on this
Jennifer was awesome. She is the reason I come there. Marsha is just the opposite she is the reason why I dont come in when she opens. Marsha is distracted from her work all the time.

I can only give this place one star and not because the service is bad. Service was very good and this is no knock on the nice ladies working hard.This is on the owner. For 1) falsely advertising menu prices by a 30+ % difference on their website compared to the real menu (see photos) and 2) for overcharging way too much for basics like an egg or toast etc and generating what appears to be a 150-200% profit margin for food that is no better tasting or better quality than local competitors- and is in fact at best just average diner food in objective reality.Which is perhaps why he is coincidentally keeping the older menu and its prices on his site to lure in unwitting new customers.Because how can you possibly not update your online menu from an 8.75 steak and eggs cost it advertises to the actual current price of 12.25? Or how do you charge 1.50 for ONE egg? Thats an $18 dozen. 1.75 for two slices of white toast? Really? Inflation is getting worse but not at that rate.2.50 for a coffee? $8 for two plain scrambled eggs, a small thin slice of over salty ham and plain toast? 10.50 for that?Absolute robbery. Now go ahead and tell Google to remove this review to keep your false advertisement at maximum effect.

Hey Sam Bishop...I went to Waffle House...on easter Sunday (Beechwold was closed) same price as BW-Tommys Diner on West Side same deal, maybe Nancys gave better deal...but they are dead. . ...And @WF had to beg for coffee.Two stars for a nose popping out of a mask-gimme a break.Beechwold Bocks keep doin what your doin!!! (Better than Rube?) what do you guys think?
The service was prompt and very customer oriented, clean as could be with all the safe distancing guidelines well established. The food itself came out fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious. Ill be stopping back here anytime in on this side of town. Highly recommend their breakfast!
George has definitely cemented an awesome legacy here. Love the staff, love the food. No reason to go anywhere else for breakfast!

Great classic diner food, and reasonably priced! The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Before Covid this place was a very popular neighborhood hangout for a diverse set of folks, and its still hopping because it has been outfitted really well with safety measures. Reuben omelet is my guilty pleasure!

Love this place. Waitresses are so efficient and friendly. They always have masks on. My concern is the person that restocks the clean plates and silverware does not wear a mask.
Even though it was crowded, we didnt have to wait very long for a seat and our food. The staff was quick and efficient. The food was excellent too!

Great breakfast (perfect bacon) at a friendly neighborhood diner. I like the retro feel and the big booths here. They have installed plexiglass in booth seating and between every 2 seats at the counter in compliance with Covid measures.
Loved the small town diner feel and the food was amazing!
It was nice. Quiet. The waitress we had was helpful. If you sit in the first four booths or the stools near those(near the front door) its quite chilly so you might want to opt to sit further back. The food was alright. The menu set up is hard to read for those with poor eyesight so either prepare to sit close or idk bring glasses(its a menu tapped to the wall in your area).They have these plastic shields above every booths and in between each stools to protect from covid spores.....I think its a bit too expensive for the quality but its not terrible food or service. Its what youd imagine most quaint diners to be.... However, I enjoyed it.

Its really all about the people. Everybody thats behind the counter really tries to give off that family vibe.We walked in, and the place was packed. The line was out the door. Our wait was reasonable for 9:30am on a Saturday. We sat at the bar, we were greeted immediately with a smile and coffee. Our food arrived, consisting of 2 classics, and a ham& cheese omelette.Everything was on point. Sorry no pics ☹️, but trust me it looked delicious.

I had a great breakfast/lunch here. The food was homestyle and excellent. Everything cooked perfectly and they take special orders for extra crispy items. The staff was pleasant to work with and even when it is full they are on it. It is a small place so expect to have to wait a few minutes if it is busy. Also it is seat yourself so be aware of your place in line and be polite to your fellow guests sitting by the door. I will for sure go back.
The food is great, the staff is even better. I no longer live in Columbus, but I used to come here every weekend. If you go during peak hours, expect a line out the door, but dont let that turn you away. The line moves fast and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is exactly what youd hope for - simple, well made, no frills diner food. This isnt the place you go for adventurous dining, its the place you go for the classic diner staples, made by people who have them perfected.This is the only place Ive ever been a regular, and theres a reason for it. The staff feels like family. Every single person there is great, and I miss them all. I havent lived in Columbus for months, Im over 2000 miles away, its dinner time, and Im still thinking about breakfast at the Beechwold diner. Thats how good this place is. You should definitely check it out.Try the omelets.
