Bought four computers over the past couple years here, and keep coming back because of the sales staff / floor experience.Even if the prices arent super low compared to online shops, the ability to talk to a knowledgeable person about what I need, get perspective on the real specs and quality of each machine (honest perspectives vs. only giving the high points), and their helpful but low-pressure recommendations makes it a much better experience than either online shopping or a place with less well-informed staff like Best Buy.For the size of the store and breadth of the product assortment, it feels like there is plenty on display to get a feel for and enough room to move around.
It was great to speak to a knowledgeable salesperson. They didnt have the product I was looking for, but he was able to recommend something else that worked very well. It might even be better than what I intended to purchase. Great store for anything computer related!
I have been a customer of both the prior Westerville location and the Bethel road store for over 3 decades and I have spent just a little bit of money (!) there during that time. I have experienced quality products through exceptionally knowledgeable and laid back sales people to terrific repair support services. I recently had them recover data from a dead external drive and the entire process was perfect. I highly recommend Micro Center over Best Buy or local shops. I will continue to patronize them until my personal hard drive :) tells me its time to check out!
Best destination for computer and electronics gear you will find. Super helpful staff, great service and they have everything you need at best prices anywhere -- most beat Internet/Amazon prices. My favorite store for tech
I was really blown away by the customer service at Micro Center. Everyone was really helpful and informative. I knew what I needed, but am no expert on computers. The associate that helped was very knowledgeable and helped me narrow down what I needed. At checkout, the manager thanked me for my business and shook my hand. These guys have it nailed down, well done.
This is the place for tech! Customized service with experts dedicated to not oversell stuff you dont need. I felt like a VIP with my personal tech who helped me pick out the best laptop, extra monitor and other necessary accessories that were perfect for me. It is worth your time and drive to check them out instead of going to the other guys. Believe me on this!
Great store with everything you could need for a computer for great prices. The service is terrible though. Sales people are too eager to.make sales that they arent attentive to consumers needs. They tried to sell me a computer that wound up being returned because it didnt have wifi. When I got a different one they could barely find it to sell it to me. Took way longer than needed for something simple.
All that room and tech. No Earbud tips. Really. Just 2 pegs for Silicon and/ or memory foam. Prices low but good quality. I bet if Radio Shack was still around they would have them. Their brand and a major brand name. Disappointed in the fact, I have order from Amazon. I want to save and shop local. Trying to cut down on shipping to help the planet.
Great selection of all your computer and tech needs. Many employees available to help you with questions and to locate items that you are interested in. The employees were very friendly and helpful with anything we asked about. Restrooms are located inside and were clean. The store is handicap accessible with parking however the aisles are tight. The Apple section was kind of small but all the other sections were pretty large. Many different 3-D printers and accessories available onsite. The desk selection was extremely slim compared to other stores I have visited. If you are in need of a tech item or support I would recommend trying here first to locate what you need.
Staff very helpful 👍, I just wish everything was not so high 😕!
Though this place had a ton of great and equipment and pretty much everything you needed to do any kind of gaming, computer work, or photography or was absolutely packed full of people and was very unorganized. We were looking for a monitor and there were none available at the area where it was displayed, but were on the floor half way across the store. Lots of other items seemed misshelved and unorganized. However its redeeming quality was great prices and being a one stop shop for anything you may have needed
Bought a HP Pavilion gaming PC from a vendor online at Amazon. Thank god it had a warranty. The guys know what they are doing. One of my Hard Drives werent showing up and didnt want to take any chances or shocking/damaging the CPU for trying to fix it, the store technician Anthony was doing a excellent good job when he fixed mine Ill be doing my business with Microcenter from now on when I need to build a PC also. Think they charge you depends what you need. They told me they also do upgrades on prebuilts also my PC makes loud fan noises for my CPU fan that came default by HP. So Im considering having Microcenter install a better and more quieter fans so I can focus on my gaming needs. Etc. And fans arent that much expensive either. I would do it my self but Im afraid of damaging my PC. I plan on buying an extended warranty for my HP gaming machine also. He did really well fixing my hard drive it was unplugged and I didnt even know it was unplugged it. :)
Forget about Amazon, forget about Best Buy … all you need is Micro Center. This is the absolute best electronics/computer store. Period. If you live in the Columbus area, consider yourself very lucky to have a local resource of this caliber. Amazing.
Good selection of parts. A little hard to get help in the parts area as they are always chatting together over what they are 3d printing, rather than assisting customers. If you know what you need youll eventually find it though..
Love this store. Always have what I need
Microcenter is a unique store that often has what Im looking for.
Thank God for this place! Smart people who love their job and are very helpful. They arent just there just for a job, they actually know what theyre talking about and seem to love what they do too.Best Buy has nothing on this place...
Wow! Talk about a super neat place with folks that are friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable about the industry and products. They even have a tech center place like the geek squad, but I think these folks are probably more qualified, in my opinion. I went in with items I needed, was given a good run down of what was the best selection and I actually spent less than I expected - I also got in and out in a jiffy. I will certainly go back for any electronic needs and have been referring anyone and everyone who I talk with!
We are extremely lucky to have the flagship Microcenter store here in Columbus. Their selection of PC parts and highly knowledgeable sales associates set them well ahead of other electronics stores. If you are a tech-head in central Ohio this should be your primary store.
They are so helpful and accurate in what they tell you.
I bought a gaming laptop here last summer and bought the 2 year accidental damage warranty! 4 months Later my laptop doesn’t function the way it did and tried to turn it in for a refund because there was a missing part along with that and Tom Welsh said that it was broken! Never buying a warranty again. Your salesman are liars. To everybody reading this DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY.
The service was great. Long did a wonderful job helping me pick out a router and the accompanying system. I was very impressed with his service.I also needed a cheap computer. I was standing next to a $250 computer asking for help on them and said my budget was around $250. I asked 2 people in the computer section for help, they said the cheapest they had was $400. Im guessing its not worth there time to help on anything less than $400. I wouldnt recommend shopping for a computer there because its clear the employees are going to upsell you instead of help your best interests. If I could rate the computer section a 1, while giving the rest of the store a 5, I would.
Solid staff and great selection. Staff were friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable and fair.
Very busy when I was there. The store does a good job of supplying computer users needs. The signage inside is a bit dated though, and the electronic section seems to be added as an after thought.
This is our go-to place for all things computer related. Weve purchased new and had repairs done - each time impressed with the quality of work and care for their customers. A+
Great experience and better prices than we have in Indiana. Worth the drive. Sales staff is knowledgeable.
A computer builders paradise. You can find components you need, or would like to have, here! Plus some items you didnt know you need. Friendly, helpful staff. Quick pick-up of online orders too.
Whatever you need for your home or office this is the place to go let me tell you they are so quick so friendly its unbelievable I pulled out my phone and said oh I get a free pair of headphones he said oh sure that expired two days ago but you know what here take take this pair not a problem dont worry about it who does that nowadays everybody should shop here
06-03-2021Visited Microcenter for the first time in years to pick up some random items for my dad. I cant say enough good things about this place. There was a line outside for a video card drop, and the entire process was handled in a professional and efficient manner by the staff. All of my questions were answered - multiple times in some cases when I didnt understand what the staff told me the first times (Im older and stubborn).I was passed along to someone who helped find a bunch of smaller items I needed. There were lots of options. Nobody tried to upsell me. No high pressure tactics. Lots of options and every one was explained with a reason.Oh, and they even had a few 3080 video cards left over after the rush!
The best store for all your electronics and ESPECIALLY your computer needs. Everyone is nice and helpful.
Has a great selection of all of your tech needs, staff are always friendly and helpful. 75% of my computer setup is from this store. Best place to go for anything you need tech related, better than best buy.
3 weeks for a basic software repair my local store would have charged me 50 dollars or less for; or I now know with perseverance and YouTube; I could have done. I am furious with myself for buying the 3 year warranty because I will not use your repair services again. I cant wait to now drop my computer off at said local store since two thirds of the internal memory is not registering. Ill see you all this weekend (only because of that warranty) if I need to come in for my 3rd replacement piece, for my 2 month old computer, but I wont be trusting you with the install.
5 stars for customer service at this location.People to help everywhere at the store. If you have any issue with a purchased item, just discuss your situation with them, they will have a fair resolution.
Best tech place out there. Staff is unbelievably helpful. If they dont have it you probably dont need it. Keep the brick and mortar alive.
Rude customer service in the repair shop. He would not answer my questions and he said I the prices over and over. Made me feel like he thought I couldnt afford it. Finally I said do you guys take American Express he said yes and I said I should be good then.
Very good service. Roger was not pushy at all, but very informative, generous with his time and explanations, and even printed details out so I didnt have to write everything down. Saved me time and offered a fair deal. Much better experience and selection than bb.
Normally I would rate this place a solid four stars, they have no competition at all in this town, and yet still maintain a good selection of products and have reasonable prices. They lost that third and fourth star today because not a single employee was wearing a mask even as COVID infection rates are skyrocketing due to the Delta variant and hospital ICUs are once again becoming overwhelmed. You would think that a place that caters to geeks would have employees intelligent enough to protect themselves and their customers, or at least managers smart enough to mandate it, but no, apparently they are not all that intelligent after all, so you might want to take any technical advice they give you with a pinch, or shaker-full of salt.
Ive built 3 Gaming PC using Microcenter. The 2nd build I spent over $2,000 and I am happy with the outcome. Since Im a project designer by trade. I needed something powerfulBut about 3 weeks ago I went there for my 3rd build and I had the most rudest disrespectful employee help me. I was doing a simple build for my wife since she plays borderline tablet type of games. When I told the employee that I wanted a I3, z390 and ballistic Ram. The Employee started demanding that I buy a graphics card today! not suggesting And when I told her... I cant afford a graphic card today. She told me I should save my money and come back and buy a pre-built! When I can afford oneSo long story short I bought my processor, ram, motherboard and the computer case that day. Since that employee had an attitude. I went to Best Buy and bought a EVGA GeForce GTX 1650 Super SC Ultra and 2 970 Evo and a PSU.But Im not going to take it too personally. Because she was rude to a customer before she helped me.
Its the Mecca of PC Building. Helpful staff and good components. Its not always the cheapest, but it quite often is!
The right place to find anything from computer to cables etc.If you are in a hurry o cant wait for a online order for something on electronic this is the best place to go .👍👍👍
They had the very unusual item I needed in stock. An employee led me right to it and described the features and use in great detail
Ian M. Helped us today and he truly went above & beyond normal expectations. We were totally clueless and I’m sure what we were asking was barely understandable but Ian figured everything out so quick. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. I will be referring all my friends and family to this micro center to see Ian! Thanks again Ian!!!
This place is the best place in the world. Microcenter is the best place in the world. W00t w00t. I said brr, It’s cold in here there must be a microcenter in the atmosphere. I love you. Please come here and you’ll know why. Yes. 10 points.
Parking can be a challengeBut the store is well worth the trip
Andrew Nolte is the man to find when you go here! SUPER helpful and cuts to the chase. I was clueless and he knew exactly what I needed, made great recommendations and I was on my way. Outstanding service that every business should strive for!
Is there a better brick and mortar store???They will price match (check website for details) and even when they dont its still worth it to buy local. My friends, family and I have purchased most of our technology electronics from them for over 20 years. Knowledgeable sales staff will be able to help you make appropriate decisions for your needs. REMEMBER: let them place their sticker on your purchases for sales credit!
Go here if you need parts or help pick the right pc. They can answer your questions.. good place for 3d printer stuff as well.
Customer service was excellent. He was patient in listening to my questions.
Found what I was looking for and the aisle it was in. Plenty of parking. Quick checkout. Could have been in-and-out in 5 minutes but I spent some time looking at big-screen TVs and laptops, of which they have a great selection. Didnt need it but quick help is always available.
Micro center suggested I bring my build in for them to look at as I was asking them what might be wrong with my cooling. Upon looking at it they said the unit (water cooler) they sold me was faulty. They proceeded to charge me $50 to look at it for 5 minutes and tell me they sold me a bad part and that was the sole reason it wasn’t working. Upon replacing it, my pc ran great. Not planning on returning to micro center after this.
It had every part i needed to upgrade my pc, and it also had a lot of things I enjoy like 3d printers, and a wide selection of monitors.
Just want to hop on here and share our amazing experience with one of the sales people, Hayden! He worked miracles for us, and we left with smiles. Always ask for Hayden if you need anything!! :-)
You have what you need for computers great place to shop
Wide assortment of tech products usually available...knowledgeable sales staff...sale prices are good...regular prices tend to the high side...
Columbus is lucky to have this store... So many cities are stuck with Best Buy and theres no real store for hobbyists/enthusiasts.
This place has just about everything. Friendly staff. Some good deals to be found.
Staff are super friendly. Store does price matching for Amazon and Newegg. Selection of products is frankly amazing. I will make the hour drive to come here the next time I need PC parts for sure!
I feel so incredibly lucky to live in the city with Micro Center store #1. If you arent aware, Micro Center is a world renowned computer and electronics store, I see people online all the time saying they wished they live near one (they have great deals) and we are blessed with the flagship store, no less. This location has everything you might want electronics-wise. The hobby section is also quite large, there is an extensive selection of 3D printing filaments sold at a very fair price. Also the staff is super useful, knowledgeable, and patient with any questions. Theyre basically what Best Buy claims their blue shirts are. I like to make special trips here for things I could get elsewhere because I love how you can get a sticker for your purchases to give staff credit or commission for helping you. Keep up the great work Micro Center!
I could live here. Minus the employees asking if they can help me every two minutes but they are doing their job. Sometimes I just like to walk around the store and drool or pick up some Bawls. Best place for new tech and pc gear of every type. I just built a new PC and all the parts came from this store. Very clean and helpful. I hope this store never goes away.
This is a great place. The employees do ask you questions all the time, and theyre just doing their job. Theyre essential when youre curious or actually need something. Im not technically savvy at all, so the wealth of information these associates respond with is exciting and humbling.
Friendly. great selection. good stuff!
Extremely knowledgeable staff and great stock. The genie bar is extremly helpful and they do price match which is great! This store is a store I could get lost in for hours and is must for any computer nerd! Great store and experience
Candy store for all your electronic needs/wants.Build your own PC computer from parts inventoried here.Have you computer 🖥 upgraded or repaired.Buy a pre-built computer.Friendly helpful folks.Call ahead if your looking to buy certain parts like a PC graphics card, PC motherboard, etc. The high-end, high priced items sale out fast.
Great place to buy cheap micro storage
Anthony M. was able to help me with switching out a laptop battery. Usually I’m not a big fan of interacting with people at the service desk, but Anthony was very helpful and generous; very glad I got help from him today.
Good for what you need technology wise
Easy place to find lots of great products and spend money if youre into electronics
The workers were very Firendly also thank you guys for the free headphones they sound prettty good.
Computer guys that try to push you to buy stuff you dont need. They act like they are smarter than you and try to sell you a $1 car for $59! THEY DO NOT PRICE MATCH thier prices are way high. You can do better with B&H.Com
Plenty of items to choose from. Online order/pickup is great. Service Associates need better personalities.
I like their shtick, organized enough that you can find things on your own and browse, but plenty of salespeople around if you need help. The lines seem long, but they move quickly. Just divide the length of the line by how many cashiers they have and suddenly you realize youre 2nd or 3rd in line.
I feel so badly for the employees! There was a person without a mask on who was making a scene and employees couldn’t do anything about it as one reported getting a death threat from someone who was an anti-masker. I hope they bump up security to help employees stay safe when there are selfish people out who don’t care if others get sick/or die.
Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Very fond memories of going to get the components needed for the builds that my dad and I have done throughout the years. This is definitely a happy place for me.
I had a guy help me, last name Duffy! My step father sent me on a mission to this place and I have no clue about electronics. Everyone was nice and helpful. Duffy put an item on hold for me and helped when me and family were confused. Give this man employee of the month : ) or better yet, give him a raise! I’d call to tell the store this but you don’t have a number!
I dont normally write reviews but felt compelled to after my first experience here. The place seemed very busy, but even so, I had 3 separate staff members check on me and offer help from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Everyone was extremely friendly and gave good vibes. Good COVID precautions taken in the store. The prices seemed pretty fair. I drove an hour to get to this store and wouldnt hesitate to do it again.
Always a fun place to shop!
Amazing service. Knowledgeable staff. My go to place for 3d printing
My favorite place to shop for electronics. They have such a fun selection of different items
Everyone was helpful and we had a smooth checkout despite some initial confusion about the line available. Everyone seemed interested in making sure we were taken care of from the shopping to checkout.
Awesome place if you love technology and computers. My son was in heaven there
My favorite place on earth….period!
These guys are very helpful with all of your electronics needs! If you want to learn how to build your own computer, this is a good place to start!
Microcenters GPU purchase limit is ridiculous, and certain manufacturers are taking advantage of buyers with their ridiculous pricing above Nvidia and AMDs reference model MSRP. Why is a retailer taking unnecessary steps to limit who can buy what, and when? And what cards does Microcenter stock on launch, but the MSI and Asus cards that scalp the hardest, and perhaps three EVGA cards that are anywhere close to the reference target.
Absolutely terrible service, will never purchase from here again! Two managers (Dennis, one of them, was very rude) told me completely different stories then their supervisor Tom was rude, lied and accused me of lying.Dont ever purchase anything from here. Dennis wanted to try to get out of even helping me even though my device was covered by their warranty blaming me then Microsoft then when he realized he was wrong and after having to argue with him for 10/15min (shouldnt have to do this in the first place), he left then came back and said they can help. Then I was told to come back and meet with Tom at 5, he didnt come until 20min late and then was rude, lied to me, and accused me of lying.Terrible terrible service, dont ever purchase anything from them.
Love this place. Has almost any computer part you could ever need and prices are extremely competitive. Employees are the most kind, educated and helpful people around.
Best customer service. Have asked one of the representative to hold a few days a product for me and they did. Thanks, Micro Center. You are the best!
Huge selection. Its like a way better Best Buy and Radioshack put together. I want to buy everything in the store. 😁
Found what I wanted, staff answered my questions thoroughly, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday about 15 minutes before closing time. Clutch!
Do I need to say anything. Its the best tech shop in town. Helpful, knowledgeable employees, and pretty much any tech youd want or need.
The only well stocked electronics store left where you can put your hands on all the things an electronics hobbyist desires. Other than video cards :) even there they are making efforts to ration all the hot items so you have a chance to get one
Alex and Andy went above and beyond today. I was purchasing an arcade machine from them today. They didnt have the kit for the full size build but they had all the components on the shelf, so they got me all set up. It would have been easy for them to say the kit was sold out, but Andy and Alex found a way to make it work. Thanks again
