Was a beautiful day to eat outside! The blueberry lavender mimosa was amazing and very refreshing for brunch! The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup was phenomenal! I highly enjoyed this spot while I was in downtown Columbus! The service was a bit slow due to it being busy, but in all our server was very nice and attentive! Thank you!
This restaurant deserves a 6 out of 5. I just finished some eggs over easy with amazing leftovers because the portions are so generous. Havent had a breakfast this good in years. In fact I cant remember it! Cant say anough good things The French toast was amazing the yogurt and granola was outstanding The biscuits and gravy were totally on point with flaky homemade biscuits and I am picky about my gravy this was amazing. Treat yourself go and go often
I need to try more here, but I cant lay off the French Toast. They nail it here, and with bananas and cinnamon. No powdered sugar or whip cream, but nice home style bread that might be a sourdough. A tad more West Coast than Midwest, but damn good. Nice portion size as well! Ill get some photos on the next run, and they have much more, so check out the menu and have some comfort here!
Gave these guys a try. The wait wasnt too long which was nice. I had the fried egg BLT. It wasnt as good as I anticipated it to be. Not much flavor and the portion of the ingredients to bread ratio was a little off. Also had the marinated chicken panini and it was delicious. Good flavor, cooked very well.
Wonderful place for brunch or breakfast.Good selection to choose from.Small note to the chef: please make the smoked salmon a bit less salty that’s it.It’s was our second time here and will definitely come again when visiting Columbus.Thank you
The menu choices are so amazing and every dish we tried totally delivered!! The food and service was so good we ate here every day of our vacation. Prices reflect the quality and portions of the food, I would totally recommend sharing plates. (Also a big plus was they had the social distancing and disinfecting thing down!!)
Come early! Great sweets (french toast, pancake, biscuits) and just o.k. steak breakfasts.
Came here on a weekday morning for a fancy breakfast. The atmosphere was nice but the food wasn’t good and certainly wasn’t worth the price. We got three meals for two people because we were starving (which usually makes food taste amazing) and they barely filled us up and were not great versions of the items ordered. My salmon eggs Benedict was very small and the biscuits were dry with not enough hollandaise sauce to make up for it. We also got the buttermilk waffle with bacon and the waiter said there would be three waffles but it was only one and so we got stuck paying $11 for one waffle and bacon when we otherwise would’ve gotten the three pancakes and bacon for $12. The sweet and spicy bacon, however, was very good! And my wife got the veggie wrap and didn’t like it very much at all and that sort of meal is almost always a home run for her wherever we eat. I don’t recommend trying this compared to most other Columbus breakfast restaurants.
Best brunch spot in Columbus. Get the Blueberry Lavendar Mimosa. I also recommend the Turkey Avocado Club. Not a breakfast food for breakfast kind of person, so havent tried much else.
The food here is amazing and I love the variety. We came on 4th of July so it was awfully busy...we didnt see our server much or really at all but again it was busy so I cant really say anything about that. Id love to come back on a day where I can fully enjoy the atmosphere.
The food was really good and they give you quite a bit 👌🏽
The food is high quality and you can tell when you eat it. Its a bit more on the pricy side, but worth it. I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal I have had here. The coffee is also truly excellent. I tend to be jittery for the rest of the day after visiting here because I just want to keep drinking it!
Sangria was wonderful! Plates are disappointingly small and mediocre, though. Our waiter was mostly absent, though I could see him on his phone at the wait station. Didnt check on us once. Didnt refill water. Fire alarm was going off during the meal. Dont know that I would come back.
Banana Bread French toast is amazing and a lot more filling than you realize great place to eat and amazing staff.
Large food portions!! Went for weekday brunch and had the pancakes, bacon and eggs. Food and service was great! I love that it’s in the Short North but tucked away a bit so it wasn’t extremely crowded around lunchtime!
I absolutely loved this place!! We had the sweetest sever. He served all 5 of us with smiles and sincere kindness. He brought out my son orange juice, and chocolate milk while we waited for our food! The steak and eggs were so tasty, cooked so well, and even though I didn’t get the pancakes, my friends looked so yummy! I totally want to bring my husband back here. Make sure to get there early though, we arrived at 8:30 and by 9:30 close to 10 there was a lone outside the door!! I see why, the place was amazing! Fresh Oj, great coffee and just a wonderful atmosphere!! Will DEFF be back!! Thank you Tasi Cafe!!!
One of my top restaurant choices in Columbus! Tasi has the best breakfast choices, plus quality of food and service.
Had a great meal at Tasi when home visiting family! Had the HUEVOS Racheros and it was tasty! The line was long to wait for a table, but when you’re coming at prime time brunch hours, it’s understandable. I recommend coming early to wait. The only thing I would change is with their Margarita, to take out the ice since the consistency is “slushee-like”, if that makes sense!Overall, we had a great time! I really enjoy small local restaurants and definitely adding this to my list of Columbus favorites!
Adorable place and friendly staff. Food was great, I got pancakes. I loved the coffee too
Delicious food! This is the second time Ive gotten breakfast food from Tasi and it still didnt disappointed in the slightest. Staff were very friendly and the food arrived quickly.
Service was great but there was a very long wait for food despite the dining room being half full. When the food did come, it was undercooked.
Kind of small but lots of seating outside. The food was fantastic! Will definitely go for breakfast again!
On 11/15/19 After a birthday self care day, I decided to have a birthday brunch at a different place than my usual. I made a great decison to go to Tasi. My meal was absolutely wonderful and tasty. I got the steak egg and potatoes! Unfortunately I cannot remember the cashiers name, but she was sooo freaking helpful, nice and knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients, portions, taste etc! She checked on me, made sure EVERYTHING was at my liking. Im going back. ❤
Call ahead to put your name on the list if their busy. Worth the wait, delicious food, small cafe style. Lots to choose from on the menu. Staff are so nice and treat you like a long time friend. Great place for a first date, the atmosphere seemed to take the pressures away. Definitely recommend! I would not take kids here.
The food is pretty good. I dont recommend the black bean burger, which is all black bean. Small place with very little indoor seating. The almond croissants are very good.
Great service and friendly staff. Generous proportions.
Hot breakfast spot but didnt care for the wait and venue
Simply the best place in the city to have brunch. Not only is the food DELICIOUS but the staff is tentative and extremely courteous. I love the Huevos Rancheros which will easily also pass as a shakshuka. Always warm and melts in your mouth. And also the quinoa hash is delicious. The bloody Mary’s are spicy and flavorful, simply second to non. And the staff… AMAZING people… the nicest you could find… Yossiel, Giselle and the crew are super friendly and personable. 5 star all the way!
The food was great and the drinks are good too. Everything was going well until a waiter who was not my original waiter comes over to me to tell me that I need to get up because they have a group of people that need the table. I was only there for like 30 min with a friend. We had just finished our food and I still had to finish my drink. I thought it was very rude of the waiter to tell me to get up when there is no assigned time slots. It was also other people that were there way longer than me and he did not say nothing to them! That was bad customer service! I would like to go back because the food was really good but after being treated like that I was highly turned off!
Not enough space on here to praise this location. Incredible muffins, solid coffee every time, quick service, friendly staff, hospitable owners, varied menu, cannot praise this place enough
Tasi is very hit-or-miss. You do have to get there early if you want to be seated on weekends. I have had several very good breakfasts here. The last time I went I ordered a smoked salmon hash, since I’d had a delicious breakfast hash from them before. Unfortunately the fish in my meal tasted like it had gone off. Someone else from my party tasted it and concurred. I brought the plate to the cashier and politely told her that I thought I’d been served bad meat, and would like to order something else. She rather brusquely informed me that “the salmon tastes like that because it’s smoked” (LOL) and that they don’t offer refunds “just because you don’t like the dish”, despite me not asking for a refund nor commenting on whether or not I “liked” the dish. I’m not the type to argue and I was hungry so I ended up ordering a plate of lemon ricotta pancakes to replace my expired fish. The pancakes were fine but the experience left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I haven’t returned.
I travel for a living. Stumbled into this cafe still half asleep from the flight in and told the cashier it would take me a minute to decide on food. She immediately plopped a mug on the counter and said, Need coffee? It always helps clear my brain in the morning. Which sold me immediately. Im a huge fan of the rustic-style coffee house and this had all the best charm. The huevos rancheros were also just what I needed to get going (along with the coffee...it was good coffee).
Black bean cakes with poached eggs, add avocado. Your next best breakfast.
Quaint, quiet little cafe with a great looking menu. Its the kind of place you have to be told about since its not on High Street in the Short North. I went with friends who ensured me everything on the menu is good. The Cuban sandwich did not disappoint. It was surprisingly spicy (not super spicy, I just wasnt expecting it). Im not sure if it was the mustard or the giardiniera (a neat twist along with bacon instead of ham). Nice atmosphere, good food, a few local beers in cans if you fancy an adult beverage; kinda the total package!
We had the banana french toast and open face salmon, egg, cream cheese with fruit cup. Amazing flavors! Very popular spot.
Great place for brunch really nice food and coffee. Friendly and kind service staff.
Food here is great. Service is good, busy place for sure.
Went here for brunch. The food was great (even though I would have enjoyed a few more savory options), the coffee was amazing, their service was top notch and their take on mimosas was only okay.
Food is good. I rated 4 bc of cleanlines of the bathroom.
Everything was delicious, freshly....friendly...LGBTQ community. ❤
Loved this place! It was a short wait for a table but once seated it was well worth the wait! We both had steak and eggs and the steaks were cooked perfectly! Im keto so I didnt eat the potatoes BUT he ate both of ours because they were seasoned so well. If you are in the fence, this is your sign... DO IT! You will be glad you did.
The food was amazing. The tea fresh.
Me and my wife use to go to this place 3 times and today was the forth time. The 1st.&2nd time was great. 3rd ok and this time I really wasnt feeling it. If you are a French toast person they are in the top 3 in the city hands down its fluffy and it comes with this banana foster that just sets it apart from all the other french toast I have had.and there poatoe s use to come out crispy then they did today. And there bacon to.but the last. Cuple times we went it just didnt taste the same. And thats why I gave this place 3 stars
Welcoming every time. Food and drinks cant be beat. SO delicious
Love the warm breakfast burrito and pancakes. Spicy bacon was the bomb.
Cafe food at this place - super tasty. i love going here. service treated us so nice.
Excellent food! Delicious mimosas and coffee! I got the steak skillet and challah French toast with caramelized bananas and wow! Very good.
Excellent food. Service a bit slow
Fish tacos were good
This place is very cute; beautiful planters outside, cool vibe and created high expectations. The photos online showed really good food.We probably just ordered the wrong stuff. Everyone elses did look really yummy. But our arugala salad was pretty wilted... not old, but like it had been made earlier and sat in the dressing. The BLT had iceberg lettuce on it, the bread had been toasted without the outside being buttered and was quite hard to eat, and had been sliced in half sideways leaving two very large square shaped halves. If they had buttered the outside of the bread (as you do for a grilled sandwich), used mixed salad greens instead of iceberg lettuce, and cut the bread into triangles to make it an easier shape to manage, it would have been much better. If it hadnt been for the raised expectations, it wouldnt have been too bad, but the quality of the food did not match the aesthetics and vibes they were giving off.
A top place for quality Cafe food. Certainly a top place in the area. The place has a cool atmosphere. If it wasnt far from my work I would come by more.
I don’t mind spending the same money I’d spend on a nice dinner for breakfast; the food just has to be really good. And dang, the food here at Tasi is incredible. Potato latkes are crisp and packed with flavor. My eggs were poached to perfection, and my wife’s omelet was fluffy and majestic. Good tomatoes, too. It’s kind of a pricy place, but I expect to pay a little more per plate for food this good. I’m gonna be thinking about those latkes for a hot minute, I’ll tell you what. Atmosphere is a plus, too. The knock against it, for my wife, was their decaf coffee. It tasted like baking soda.
This place is amazing!! The food was SO good. Really nice staff. The food is a bit pricey for a cafe but it’s well worth it.
The service is honestly so bad. Waited for 1hr before a server even bothered to put or names down. We then decided to just order food to go because we didn’t want to wait anymore. The French toast was so bad though. No flavor whatsoever, just some fruit on bread. Extremely bland and disappointing, but not as disappointing as the lack of attention from every single server in the restaurant.
Service is terrible (30 mins before we were even greeted and given water after sitting down....I dont think we ever would have been noticed if my gf and I didnt flag down someone). Food is average for Cbus brunch, not bad but definitely not great. The chai latte came out cold. Salmon smoked Benedict was fine, biscuits were cold, crumbly, and dry. Eggs were pouched nicely.
We had high hopes when stopping at Tasi Cafe on our way to Hocking Hills. They seemed to have an unusual amount of rush, but the food was not good to say the least. Not only that, they brought out wrong orders (seafood for a vegetarian) when the waiter confirmed with us twice when taking our orders. We let them know, and they said the correct order would be out shortly. It NEVER came! We waited for 1.5 hour and decided to leave and get chipotle instead. Extremely poor service and terrible wait times! Do not recommend
Excellent spot for quality Cafe food. Do not leave if its busy, it is worth it. I will be back with my friends. Prices are fair I would say.
Great food and the staff is super personable. I am excited to go back and try more items!
The open faced smoked salmon was delicious.
So sad that i spent 24 years of my life not eating from here. Ordered for the first time today and this taste like my food on my best day of cooking. Most definitely pleased!
Cool little place
Had such high hopes for this place, super cute and gorgeous patio. The service was lack luster, i dont think our waiter wanted to be there today. The food was the main issue though we had the BLT egg sandwich and the arugula salad. The BLT had soggy ice berg lettuce with one piece of bacon. This was served with a side a fruit (apples and grapes and melon) probably cut up hours ago and mealy.... the salad was wilted and old with very little seasoning. All in all a poor experience and will not be back.
Food was awesome. Wait took a little long but was worth it.
Wow! Highly recommended The food was delicious!!! Great customer service! Our server was excellent! Overall great experience, will definitely be back!
Perfect weekend breakfast spot! Plenty of spacing between tables, customers wait outside until a table is ready. Great job!
Great food and service
Very, very slow. A couple who ordered a full 30 minutes after us received their food about 15 minutes before us. Oders were nothing special, straight off the menu with no modifications. Total time from seating to food was about 1 hour 10 minutes.
Best breakfast, the flavors are superb! The staff is very friendly and the place is cleaned constantly.
Great breakfast place steps away from the short north
The wait staff was very polite, and the food and coffee were both incredible
I typically write long detailed posts, but frankly, the only thing you need to know about Tasi: Sausage and Gravy Biscuits. Go. Right now!
Favorite breakfast and lunch Cafe ever!
Very popular for breakfast on the weekends go as early as you can because seating these days.
Cafe food and the setting here is very good. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.
