Amazing coffee shop with outstanding quality pastries!! This place has such a cool vibe and you know how good a place is when the line is constantly out the door. The interior is nice and clean and their coffee is on point with the latte art, that’s how you can tell the baristas are serious about their coffee by the art! This has now become one of our must go to places when we visit Columbus. Highly recommended if you love fancy coffee and amazing pastries!
Such a cozy spot! The presentation of their baked goods makes it hard to resist, and you won’t be disappointed. They seem to have high standards in what they do. I went with the banana bread and it was very good. Unfortunately my cortado was too hot and the milk was overstretched this time. But it’s a cafe I’d certainly go back to for breakfast, and the morning light comes in perfectly :)
Amazing pastries, great coffee (though I wish they would have more flavors for lattes, they have a house made vanilla thats very good), and an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend. And I love that they leave water out on the tables for you to self serve.Had the carrot cake (oh my gawd good), egg sandwich (fantastic horse radish sauce and arugula, which I dont usually like), and a vanilla latte in the picture.
When the shop was take-out only, the line was always around the corner. Now that they allow dine-in seating, you can see the display of mouth-watering pastries. It’s hard to make a decision! When my dad visits, we always stop by for a blueberry scone and biscuit with raspberry jam. The breakfast sandwich is one-of-a-kind, too! Go early because they sell out of baked goods fairly quickly. The branded cups and bags are a nice touch!
Its hard for me to put into words how amazing this cafe is. It truly is the best coffee shop ever! Everything is delicious. The sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, egg sandwiches, galettes... literally everything is good! They even have released a few recipes during COVID to help hold us over. Coffee is fresh and served in the cutest mugs. This location is beautiful and it makes you want to stay all day!
Fox in the Snow Cafe us a must try. love the pastries here (all of them) and the egg sandwich is amazing! The staff is always very friendly. The environment is clean and open. If there is a line it is worth the wait. Make sure to come early in the morning if you want to see the full selection for the day.
Excellent coffee, wide selection of pastries, friendly staff, and good ambiance to get some work or reading done in. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a way to get out of the house some morning.
This place is super cute but for some reason the staff told my group of 5 they were out of sandwiches, then that the oven was broken. We were totally fine to have other pastries they were pushing. I was disappointed that they proceeded to sell sandwiches to the people behind us.I will try other locations but so far Thurman is not the one. I was excited to try their items but the atmosphere didnt live up to expectations.I got a tasty blueberry Danish and drank my coffee to people watch before finding breakfast elsewhere.
Don’t let the line stop you. It moves quickly and the food is always worth it. Best pastries and amazing coffee. Not to mention the famous egg sandwich. I could probably eat here daily.
Food is good but customer experience lacks. They think they are too good for online ordering or phone orders. Went there at about 10am on a weekday and had to wait in line for 45 minutes just to order and get my food in a 6 person line
I visited this cafe for the first time and loved the modern space, the delicious offerings, and the customer service. All the staff was very friendly and my interactions with Diamond were especially affirming. 10/10 would recommend.
This place is incredible! Such a cute, bright atmosphere. The coffee and chais are great, and their baked goods are out of this world! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich as well. If you come on the weekend, be prepared to stand in a line. But don’t worry- it moves fast and it is well worth it!
We werent impressed with the coffee options, or lack thereof. First, the only syrup options were vanilla, simple syrup, or honey. We ordered 2 vanilla iced coffees, the New Orleans iced coffee, and a vanilla latte over ice. The iced coffees were just black coffee over ice with vanilla (no milk) and tasted horrible, and the New Orleans was weird & bitter. The iced vanilla latte was actually really good, but they initially made it hot instead of iced. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because the barista kindly remade it for free and told us to keep the hot latte. However, the guy who took our order seemed annoyed with our questions (this was our first time there) and wasnt friendly. No offence, but I can make better coffee drinks at home with my cheap espresso machine.
Coffee was good even if I have no idea what I ordered (not an upscale coffee drinker). Egg sandwich was not at all what I expected but dance and tasted delicious.
Pastries were very good highly recommend the fruit Gillette. Staff was a bit grouchy but over all good experience
High quality java. No vegan pastries unfortunately, but the coffee and atmosphere make up for it.
First let me start with the good: The service was delightful and the food was delicious and I will go back for it but like many places that focus on Coffee the Tea could use some work. The bad: I ordered their Assam tea and the general rule is one teaspoon per 8oz of water (unless its a rolled tea like gunpowder) at about 195-205 degrees for about 5 minutes. What I was given was a sachet of tea big enough to make a 40z pot in water that was probably at 210 degrees that in the 5 minutes it took me to walk to the park and sit down was too bitter too drink. I would just like a bit more attention to the tea or I will just avoid it in the future.
Asked if they had cold brew. They said yes. Handed me an iced coffee and pretended thats what I ordered. Not cool.
Get the blueberry galette! You wont be disappointed.
One of the best Mochas Ive had in the entire CBUS area. Very pure clean espresso no weird after taste. Their summer diamond flaky pastries are must for a brunch time craving.
Love at first sight, bite, and sip! Enjoyed a lovely atmosphere while eating a souffled egg sandwich with thick bacon, fresh arugula, and tangy mustard on warm ciabatta complimented by a steaming cappuccino. The cinnamon rolls are huge and full of sugary goodness! Theres not WiFi so plan to enjoy your company face-to-face or a good book. Bonus - this location has a free parking lot behind it.
Lovely place to visit in German village. Across the street from Thermans, this classy joint provides excellent customer service and a clean environment. Their muffins are huge and covered with sugar to your hearts delight. I sampled their coffee and tea and felt that the taste melts your taste buds into comfort. I stayed a good 2 hours resting in comfort. Check it out and see if your visit is as good as mine.
I’m sorry but all these people complaining below about getting their food before space was available are being little ridiculous. The cafe here is operating the same as it does at the other location. If you can visibly see that there are no tables open and are not ok with the possibility of not having one by the time your food is served... then leave. Don’t get ticked at the cafe for delivering your food.I was just there on Sunday Jan 7th (a day after opening), it was packed and I got my food along with my party of 5 others. We waited for about 10 or so minutes until another table vacated. We stood by a table attached to the wall and sipped our coffee until we were able to be seated. Never once were the staff rude to us. In fact the owner was very courteous and welcomed us when he took our order and took feedback on the new location. The decor is very beautifully designed here. Exposed brick and cool lighting. Parking is a little rough but it is so for most places in German Village so nothing different.
Didn’t know pastries could be so wonderful. The morning bun was my favorite.
We were so upset when we couldnt stay and enjoy our coffee there due to the pandemic but we will definitely be going again anytime because the coffee was that great. The atmosphere and staff were great! It definitely lives up to the hype and I cant wait to visit soon. I cant wait to eat it again.
Great spot. Fantastic egg sandwich!
We love this place. Well … actually we love Fox in the Snow. This was our first time to the Thurman Ave. location, but we will be back. Its so roomy compared to the 4th St. location but the food is just as good and beautiful. Our nieces love the egg sandwich, which is large. Highly recommend.
The pastries were amazing def worth the visit. The coffee was subpar :/
Morning bun and ham sandwich are a great option for breakfast in a fun area
Amazing pastries and local coffee. The long lines arrest to their popularity. But its easy to order online and grab n go.
My life is forever changed after having their pastries
Best Breakfast in Columbus hands down. If you are looking for something rustic and new age then come to Fox in the Snow. Their egg and bacon sandwich is something you dream about food to taste like. I have contemplated this to be something if I only had one last meal meal on this earth category. Spectacular.
I’m a huge fan of the new location! I love the aesthetics and it is quite spacious. More spacious than the Italian Village location. Opening weekend was crazy obviously but that was to be expected. I highly recommend the New Orleans Iced Coffee and either the cinnamon roll, blueberry scone, or brownie. No matter what you get, you’ll never go wrong at Fox!
Everything there is just very tasty. I have been to many coffee shops across the US and the world and this is one of the best. The design is very modern and the quality of the pastries are great. The coffee Ive had there was superb and the no free Wi-Fi environment was a surprise. In the beginning I did not like but that quickly changed as I was able to make connections with other people that also went to the coffee shop. I wouldnt probably have met them if the environment had free internet.
Great coffee and pastry shop..it is a bit high end and pricy but its nice to have places like this in Columbus. The egg Sandwhich is $7.50 and Ive got it twice and the second time it seemed to have a mustard sauce that I didnt detect the first time. The sadwhich is worth getting just know you are ordering off a menu board. The coffee is very good!! Definitely a European vibe right here in Historic German Village...Also growing up this store front use to have those sun catchers in the windows in the 1980s ..
Pastries were wonderful.
I’m not someone who eats pastries but MAN these are fantastic. You truly can’t go wrong with any baked good choice, the bacon sammie is amazing and their cafe choices are pretty nice!It is unfortunate that they do not offer WiFi for their customers who’d like to come to sit and sip with a little bit of work to do (hence why I give only 4 stars). But overall, a delicious place for breakfast!
I had the egg and bacon sandwich. It was really tasteful. Drip coffee is ok. Got here on a Saturday at 1pm, difficult to sit as too many people sitting on their computers, which I think is part of the hipster atmosphere. (Only MacBooks allowed here. Hehehehehe) service was fast, I was still putting sugar on my coffee when they came with my sandwich.
My wife and I are in Columbus on vacation from California and we gave this place a shot based on their ratings and were not disappointed in the slightest. My New Orleans Iced Coffee was perfect and extremely flavorful. Both pastries we ordered, the morning bun and apple galette, were amazing as well.
Im a big fan of their pastries and coffee and their branding is on point, but right now the pandemic has forced them to be takeout only. Remind me after all this blows over and Ill update the score, because its a fantastic little space when you can spend time inside.
Sheer delight. Coffee was on point, and the lemon raspberry pastry....OMG....heavenly.
So after waiting for 20mins for an egg soufflé sandwich I sat on a bench in the restaurant. In seconds I was told they are not allowing anyone to sit because of covid. Do butts spread covid? Time for Fox and Snow to move on.
Put this place on your to-do-list Now!
Great coffee and pastries. Great location. Try the breakfast sandwiches
I use to love coming here, but I don’t think I will be back any time soon. I love the pastries, but the lady at the register was rude. I went there today with my 4 year old and he had to use the bathroom. I politely asked her if he could use it while I waited on my food. She responded very rudely and said no.... That’s fine that the bathrooms are off limits, but she could’ve been more polite about it. People around were looking at her like “wow”. The way she talked to me was very degrading. I canceled my sandwich and asked for my money and tip to be refunded. Customer service is everything. The other people that were working were very nice though.
Stopped in Columbus on a long cross country road trip (because, covid) and stopped here for breakfast on our way out. Best egg sandwich I think I’ve ever eaten. Latte was great, so was yogurt & granola, and the oatmeal —served with butter and brown sugar — which my 3-year-old devoured. Kept very clean and had great social distance practice with waiting area in the parking lot instead of inside.
Good coffee and pastries
Got some cinnamon rolls and they was delicious .
My family and I always enjoy going to Fox In The Snow for their awesome breakfast sandwiches, pastries and coffees!
One of the best coffee shops Ive been to. Their coffee is superb and the breakfast sandwich is out of this world good. The cinnamon roll is also very good. The cafe is beautiful, comfortable and inviting, the staff make it even more so. They sell some nice merch as well.
Even though I couldnt eat anything there, it was a very clean and the people were very nice. My niece enjoyed her pastrys
Absolutely delicious pastries. The new orleans iced coffee was exceptional. Great service in keeping things safe during new covid protocols
This was the BEST breakfast sandwich I have ever had! The coffee is really good too. When you can sit inside, it’s a great atmosphere!
I wore a mask inside but my friend with a medical condition did not, and she showed them her medical card. They still wouldnt let her inside at all and it felt a little shaming and discriminating. Technically governors mandate on masks exempts her for having a real medical condition. I get that they want you to wear a mask, but im not sure how I feel about the way they treated the situation.
Stopped in for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Not a local but love good coffee and this came recommended. Glad I did!
Great bakery items
Tomato Tart! That is all
They are always so quick and courteous at this location!
Great pastries. Enjoyed the sweet potato tart & apple crostatas.
Amazing pastries. My favorite are the biscuit with jam and a honey glaze and their morning buns (croissant muffin filled with chocolate mousse). If you want a breakfast sandwich then theirs is the best Ive had in Columbus so far. They use Tandem Coffee from Portland, Maine and it is excellent. All the espresso drinks Ive had have been very good, the drip coffee has been good as well. They also offer a couple pour over options that are always delicious
