Stopped in here to try their Bananas Foster iced latte and it was sooo good!! Actually got it twice because they dont have a flavor like this where I live in SC. They have a lot of coffee options, teas, and food. A tiny bit more pricey compared to Starbucks. Staff here are also very friendly and bubbly. Over all great experience and great location.
Best coffee and tea in Columbus hands down. This has been the best place for me to study during nursing school. I don’t eat sweets often but the scones here are the best I’ve ever had!!Staff fun, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Amazing coffee and food! The customer service is also beyond amazing! Tony was so kind to me. They we not open yet for curbside but I had my twins with me so I could not leave them in the car to come inside! So he did it for me super early and was so helpful and sweet!!
This place has a super cozy, private feel. Its much smaller than the other independently run coffee shops and this probably the reason for to their friendly charming service or it could be because they are the closest to the river a short stroll away..I usually get either a large cappuccino with regular milk served in their rounded ceramic cup or the hot matcha with macadamia milk together with a grilled pannini. This is a truly Uptown Columbus spot - on Broadway and 10th.
Good coffee. Good atmosphere. Artwork on walls of actual customers is done by local artist and available for purchase. Comfortable seating. Nice downtown location.
We get fountain city coffee at our work, and absolutely love it. The blend is like nothing that I’ve ever had before. It almost tastes like hot chocolate. Really good, highly recommended!

Good seating arrangements, good lighting, good music. Definitely the kind of place where you can spend a few hours on your laptop. Only two non-dairy options (oat and macadamia), which is weird, but tolerable.If you go at a busy time, DONT try to ask the barista anything, the staff does seem a bit prone to being short with you, but not a big deal.Coffee is always good, hot or iced, latte, cold brew, anything Ive tried has been fine.
My favorite coffee spot in Columbus. Beats the pants off of Starbucks and is always staffed by friendly and fast baristas. I have never been disappointed there.
My wife and I noted that since we try new places when we travel, but dont explore where we live, so here we are and Im glad we did. Great customer service, very accommodating and delicious food and coffee. Well definitely add this on our places to return as we continue to explore Columbus, GA.
The unique menu is matched by the setting. Be sure to leave something on the chalk wall and enjoy the lovely portraits and maybe buy one.
My wife says that the coffee tastes like a creamy chocolate….basically it is extremely smooth and straight up phenomenal.This is all that we drink. If you haven’t tried fountain city coffee, you definitely need too!
I have given this place multiple chances as far as hoping for better service and coffee. After today, I certainly do not plan on giving them another chance. Most of the staff is extremely rude, the espresso is abnormally bitter, and they always seem to be low on their food options. I can only hope they take the negative reviews seriously.
Came in for a smoothie. They were out of nearly all the fruits so I was limited to only a couple choices. Employees were not the friendliest. I was with a group and the workers seemed to be over-concerned with wearing masks. Got a very political vibe from the place. It was also very dark and the prices are higher than other shops in the city. Probably won’t ever come back. The smoothie was good though, for what that’s worth.
Very nice place with a friendly staff and a good selection of drinks and eats. I love that they have refurbished a cool old building.
Very aesthetically pleasing with an interesting variety of flavors. Personally it was a delight to see pumpkin spice in the summer! Im sure you all live for the spice as I do. The barista was very friendly and being able to see your coffee being made puts my mind at ease. Overall a very night local spot.

Super slow service. They only have one person working and I had to wait half an hour for an americano. Don’t plan to be back when there are plenty of other coffee shops around. Cool place and good menu but the wait is way too long. There needs to be two people working when carry out business is this brisk.
Customer service has gone down hill. Instead of just enforcing an outdated mask policy, you should focus on friendliness and customer service. I’ll take my freedom over your coffee and do business elsewhere.
Terrible service, the girl that attempted to help me was a complete jerk after I asked one question. I don’t give bad reviews but it was so awful service I walked out and got coffee elsewhere. I’m an easy going guy too.
Great selection, beautiful artwork on the inside, and a attentive staff. Fountain City is one of the better coffee shops I have visited.

Breakfast sandwich was good. Coffee was good. The area where they have the self serve coffee and sugar was dirty and sticky. Also, reason for 3 stars the clerk lacked customer sevice. I wanted it the sandwich and coffee to have in the coffee shop. She didnt listen. Ive never been there, but I noticed they were recieving a table marker to show you were eating there. I didnt get anything. I was waiting and waiting. I went back to the girl and asked her if I needed one for my order. She was like oh, I Ill just take it to you. She didnt the guy from the kitchen did and he was nice. I even tipped at the registered. I tipped so she wouldnt pay attention I guess.

As someone who prefers their coffee black, this has always been one of my favorite spots in Columbus. Their coffee is tasty and I love their teas. Since the pandemic, I have been able to count on Fountain City to be courteous and resilient. They have gone out of their way to make it work. I have been to other restaurants downtown that are not following the public safety and health ordinances that are in place. Fountain City has been so considerate to their customers and employees. Nothing feels normal right now, and I appreciate all of the wonderful businesses doing what it takes to stay afloat right now. Support small business.
All of the employees are very friendly and accommodating! Was able to use my reusable tumbler for the honey cinnamon latte which I highly recommend! They have an assortment of different types of milk.The food menu is mostly sandwiches and paninis but are absolutely delicious.The walls are covered in beautiful painting and illustrations. Several indoor and outdoor tables, great for small groups. There are even some games to play while you enjoy your coffee.
This is the only legit coffee shop downtown. The only competition for quality of coffee was over by mother hen, of the shop and mother hen still exist, I havent lived there in 4 yrs. But I love Fountain City Coffee, they knock it out the park, and Im from the home of american coffee culture in the PNW.

Ahhhh... fountain city. How many hours have I spent here studying for inservice exams, step3, boards boards and more boards. Good location, very nice coffee and beverage selection, a trifle small but a good study environment. Polite and knowledgeable staff regarding drink selection. Calm, bohemian vibe very conducive to studying. And outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.

Very unfriendly and coffees were entirely too strong. Also the snickers freezer tasted like straight coffee. There was no candy bar flavor at all. I wouldnt recommend this shop and sorry that I wasted my money there!

Yesterday morning was my first time visiting this place and I was really disappointed. The coffee was ok, the atmosphere was really nice, and I LOVED the sketched portraits on the wall. Beautifully drawn. Unfortunately the customer service wasn’t there for me. The employees were not very welcoming at all. There were so many people hanging out behind the counter just hanging out. I always try to support smaller businesses, but if the customer service isn’t there I’m better off just going to Starbucks.
Awesome place to visit especially since it’s the best coffee shop in all of God’s creation who’s owner is Jud Richardson an awesome guy who has been blessed to have the greatest coffee shop and the staff treat ya like family FCC is a must visit if you ever find yerself within the continental USA it’s worth the drive no matter where yer coming from
So, I went on a Sunday morning and they were really busy. I was a little hungry so I decided to order a panini with my coffee. I really wish I would have not done so. I got the chicken pesto and the chicken was very firm and rubbery. I basically threw away 16 dollars!! I didnt go back in and complain because i didnt want to upset the people working or make a scene.. The coffee was good, I give them that. I wont be back though.

Everything you could want in a small coffee shop sans the alternative music. They offer build your own breakfast sandwiches all day. And they boast an extensive cafe menu with essentially every kind of iced and hot beverage that comes to mind. Wouldve been a 5 had I been able to evaluate their matcha latte (a satiating matcha latte is my litmus test for a 5-star coffee shop.) Nevertheless, the chai latte was better than both *$ and Panera.
Really liked that they require masks inside. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 chips, and a drink. I left a 20% tip, because I value good customer service. When my food was ready, they called out for us to pick it up at the counter I noticed we didnt have the chips. The person who took our order was reading a book. She never looked up at me. I asked about the chips. She kept reading. Never acknowledged me. The person who put my food on the counter gave me my chips. Why wasnt I important to the person who took my order? Why couldnt she put her book down to acknowledge me? Customer service 101. Lacking.

Expensive, but fantastic. (A medium, extra sweet iced latte and bacon-egg-and-cheese croissant cost nearly $16.)That said, my Snickers flavored iced latte was just sinful, and my breakfast was filling and delicious. The croissant was buttery and flaky even after being placed on a panini press; the bacon was thick-cut, and I’m pretty sure there were 2 eggs. There was no skimping on quality.I hate that I had been visiting a different local place instead. That other place doesn’t require masks, and it’s just not as good. You get what you pay for?
Super friendly staff. I felt like they were actually paying attention to me and my order. My first time in the place I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted or what some of the drinks were. The wonderful lady behind the counter took time to answer all of my questions and helped me decide on a bananas foster latte... it was AMAZING! Will definitely be a regular here!
Five stars. Period.1- because a restaurant or non-essential business like Fountain City shouldn’t have to hurt their own employees to make your experience better. Wear the mask. Sit outside. Take it to go. It’s not their fault they had to increase safety measures and make the place less cozy or welcoming. (We are still in a Pandemic!)2- just because you had an expectation of a place, from pictures you saw online from pre-covid, does not mean the place will be the same at this time. Get over that idea that service industry employees are just supposed to just deal with it, and make your experience great, when it’s not. The fact that you are in a coffee shop shows that you’ve got the means to kill time and money. They are at work. See the difference?3- Fountain City is a Columbus staple. If you’ve been around you’ve seen it grow, adapt, and thrive. Not that I want your experience to be bad, but give them a break already! Prices were raised to cover costs and pay employees. They managed to stay open as much as they could while other small businesses closed their doors.I haven’t lived in Columbus since I graduated college, but it’s my home town. It’s where my family’s at, and I’ll continue to go there even if my coffee is $12 (because you know you’ve paid that and more at a Starbucks and not even blinked an eye)! Because it’s for the people. It’s for the community. It’s for the common good. Support small business. Get off your high horse when you drop a 1 or 2 star, and check yourself before you write a review.I wrote this review to counter the negativity I’ve seen lately, which I rarely do. After the total COVID-19 outbreak...this place went down. It doesn’t have to same cozy vibe, their coffee has gotten more expensive, and the rewards program that others(including myself) was working on has been changed completely to the point where you have to sign up all over again. This used to be my favorite spot to relax, have great customer service, and enjoy my lychee rose tea...but I think I just might find it online and continue enjoying it at home without being over priced.

The coffee was okay, the sandwiches were great but unfortunately the staff was very rude. They do require you to wear a mask, but they don’t sanitize the menus everybody is touching. It took us 42 minutes to get 3 sandwiches. The customer service was honestly terrible and I’ll never come back here.
Food was great, atmosphere is great, people are great. Love the amazing portraits on the walls! Glad to have this place as a fixture in our downtown community!

The staff are friendly and helpful and there are over a dozen specialty lattes from which to choose. I tried the Banana’s Foster and it tasted like banana rum custard. My friend ordered the Snickers latte and it tasted just like a Snickers. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet and is a nice place to read, study or hang with friends.

I like the place . However, with the closing time of 7pm, I tend to go elsewhere. Many other places such as Iron Bank stay open until 9 or 10 pm.
This is the best coffee in the city. The vibe is very interesting, and the staff are very relaxed. Come here for a coffee date, catch up with a friend or sit outside in the shade with your pup. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner the food and coffee will be here and be delicious.

Fountain City is quickly becoming my go to coffee shop here in Columbus. The drip is great, but when you want something more they have house made syrups, so it really sets them apart from the generic flavors everyone else has. The staff is really kind and witty, you can tell they enjoy their work. They know a lot of people by name and order- I love the atmosphere here.Their food looks yummy, I just havent come hungry to try it yet. But I will at some point, I do know they bake most of it fresh in house.

Beef villa, on Dundee avenue, I have been eating their food since I was a small child. If youre looking for the Best Italian beef sandwich and the best Chicago dog around, then this would be the place to go. Throw in a pizza puff for good measure (a deep fried pizza pocket essentially made by Iltaco) and youve got the perfect meal.
What a great find while visiting Columbus! I love great coffee and always search for the perfect cup when travelling. I found it here at Fountain City Coffee! They roast there own beans and bake scrumptious scones, muffins, and other delicious treats. I was glad to see they also have savory breakfast sandwiches if sweets arent your thing. Friendly service made my experience even better. You should definitely check this place out!

An interesting alternative to the Franchise Operations that have cornered the American coffee market in recent years.Good Service and a variety of coffee beverage choices as well as pastry offerings.A good place to gather with friends or go solo.Local musicians perform good live shows on a periodic basis.Recomnended...
