Just moved into the area and I stopped by for an iced coffee today! The honey vanilla latte was so yummy! I forgot the kind gentleman that gave me recommendations on the different drinks name, but he was so kind and the guy who made my drink was all smiles! Great atmosphere, clean, outdoor seating, so friendly, nice AC and can’t wait to try another drink when I return soon! Thanks Brioso!

I love getting an iced petal to the metal with oat milk here. Its SO GOOD. The people who work behind the counter are all exceptional - kind individuals who I look forward to seeing every time I go. Highly recommended coffee shop - I had never been until I started working downtown this spring.

I can’t believe how many local joints here are 5-star good... this coffee shop is cozy and has excellent natural light, being on the corner of a not-so-busy street. The drinks are simple but flavorful; the seasonal options are creative! I had a honey vanilla latte, very reasonably priced and delicious. Was looking for a great local coffee shop and found one where they roast and grind their own coffee beans!

Limited selection of coffees but almost all I want to try them all! Mostly lattes if you want them flavored. I got the maple latte since the weather is cooling down. It wasn’t too sweet but you can still have the after taste of the maple. Just my kind of coffee.The staff was really nice and said they had a sister store called The Roosevelt Coffeehouse around the corner that serves the same coffee but the interior has a different vibe. If I have time, I might venture there.

This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. It is centrally located downtown, and easy to access from transit. Parking is difficult during the workday, but they have Saturday hours for when you need some of those great beans, and there is plenty of street parking.Speaking of the coffee, they have a great selection and quality of many typical origin and roasts youll be accustomed to seeing. However you MUST try the unwashed/natural beans. They have amazing sourced coffees and you will not find them in most other places.

Ordered some amazing beans, they were delivered quickly, and they have been great.

We love their coffee and pastries, they have gotten free options to! Life is changing and I miss it.

Ive visited Brioso twice and have left disappointed on both occasions. On my first visit I tried a maple latte. There werent any other customers in the cafe at the time, yet it took probably about 7 minutes to make a small. It didnt taste like maple and it needed sweetener, which IMO shouldnt since maple is sweet.On my second visit I tried a chai latte. It was the worst chai Ive ever had. It was watery and tasted like it came from a box. I didnt finish either drink.I prefer to support smaller coffee shops as opposed to places like Starbucks, but I still expect superb drinks. Brioso completely misses the mark IMO.

Currently my favorite coffee shop in Columbus. They consistently produce the best tasting espresso Ive had thus far and are the only ones I will regularly get straight shots of espresso from. The coffee is very well balanced and complex in flavor. I normally get the streamline espresso which is a little bit fruity but has a bold chocolaty flavor as well

Brioso Coffee is one of my favorite places to escape from the hustle of Downtown. The coffee is great and there is usually a quiet corner to escape to. This place is moving locations at the time of this review (9/6/2019)

Please get “chilling like a villain!” Really good cold brew coffee with some spice, so nice on a hot summer day in the city!

Very good coffee and modern atmosphere. Limited space for seating made it tough for a bigger individual to sit comfortably.

The space is interesting. Its an elongated room with chairs and tables and couches. It felt like a hangout space...but for professional people. Its got a hole in the wall vibe, but the customers werent hipster by any means.You can definitely hang around a while here. Its a lot larger of a space than I thought!

Nothing really flashy about the place, but its arguably the best coffee in Columbus. Hands down, without a doubt, their espresso is the best Ive had. I recommend this place as a first stop for anyone visiting the downtown area.

It feels like you are in a major city on Gay St. Brioso fits right in. Youll see hipsters, professionals and both suburbanites and city dwellers. Reasonable prices and a big selection of food and coffee. Im a tea drinker and love the loose tea bags that are made to order.

Service was really good and the baristas knew what they were doing. the almond macadamia nut milk latte is really good. not too expensive and the inside is so cute, trendy and clean!

This place serves the best coffee in the town. Very happy with their service. The place is amazing. Everyday, in my break during work, i visit this place and have their coffee. I couldnt survive my work without their coffee.

Previously 2 stars.UPDATE 02062020I believe environment influences emotion and behavior. I believe the new digs and the new set up has gone a long way in turning this place around. Employees seem happier and the coffee selection has swung a full 180 as well. New equipment a new outlook a scaled version of pastry that are delicious. If you can snag a hand pie before they vanish I strongly recommend you do so. Seating is good given the space of operations. Nothing but wishes of success.

The staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They roast their own beans on-site and their coffees are truly amazing. All food items are freshly made (from the breads for the sandwiches to the cookies for dessert) and extremely delicious. Very relaxed, kickback vibe.

Stopped in as part of a coffee tour with a friend when in town recently. Food was pretty good. As a home roaster I enjoyed buying green coffee beans. Their roasted and brewed coffee, while decent, has considerable room for improvement. Theres probably little competition in that area of town. Much better freshly roasted coffee is available from several shops on High St. near campus. The place needs a good cleaning or at least some new carpet.

Best Coffee House in Downtown Columbus Hands Down. If your downtown stop in and relax with a cup of Joe and a nice soft leather couch. Plenty of room, people are great, and you are at the heart of the heart of downtown on Gay Street! 22

This place has some amazing tasting espresso beans..love the cappuccino! Also their homemade breakfast sandwiches and fantastic. Unfortunately, some of the staff comes off as very rude and pretentious, which certainly hampers my morning. However, that does not include all staff here - as some are very kind and helpful.

They certainly are passionate about producing a great cup of coffee. For a great deal stop in during happy hour from 2 to 4 for $1 coffee and half price cappuccinos. This place is also my pick to get coffee beans for home.

Had a couple various cups of coffee (Americano, pour over, and their batch pour over) and theyre all solid choices. Went to breakfast there every day I was in Columbus and got the egg biscuit. Again its great. The employees have all been friendly and relaxed.

I recently ordered a Cubano from Brioso, and Im fairly certain it was the best cup of coffee Ive ever had.

Has been and still is one of the best coffee places in the city. So thankful for them, they beat a lot of people to the level of quality available in Columbus.

Some of the best coffee in all of Ohio. The owner is very awesome and the staff love to provide great coffee and food. A must visit! They make everything they can in-house and are particular about quality and service. Whenever I am in the area, I make sure to stop by this or the roastery for a great cup of coffee.

A wonderful traditional cappuccino! The staff was incredibly patient and friendly. I love the cycling environment. The streets were lined with bikes. Ive driven through Columbus many times but never stopped, that ends today! From this day forward any time I am in the area I will be making a stop at Brioso

These people love coffee and they put their heart and souls in to every cup of coffee that they sell. If you get a chance, do a coffee roastery tour. It will make you appreciate coffee and and what Brioso has to offer.

I liked this place, comfortable sofas, plenty of seating inside, located downtown and you can watch people outside. Parking meter right outside the place is limited to 30 mins

Staff is super friendly. I went during off peak hours to grab a sandwich- order was somehow never sent to kitchen. I had to take off and asked for a refund but cashier was unable to figure out how to refund my money even with my receipt in hand. I eventually just let them keep the $5- seems a little chaotic and unorganized. Im from out of town. Maybe just a fluke. Finished a great cup of coffee while I stood around waiting.

While they have a limited coffee selection compared to other coffee shops around, they do offer a stamp on the Columbus Coffee Experience guide book and the staff is usually very interactive. If you are looking for variety AND consistency, they arent good for that, but they have a consistent rotation of decent coffee.

Loved my cappuccino. Unfortunately the one time I usually need a coffee is after work when they are closed... so Im not very likely to make it back.

Coffee is good but that is about it. You cannot plug in your computer because the outlets dont work. It is not something we do he said. What? Have electricity? Why are the outlets there then? Waited for a long time with no apology or anything. It seems this place is overrated.

I usually like to hang out here most days for my lunch break.The main reasons are their iced tea and patio. Black, unsweetened tea with lemon and extra ice is really refreshing specially now in the mid-day heat.The food is alright, is what you expect from a café, affordable and decent taste. I only drink tea, thus I am unable to comment on their coffee.The ambience is alright inside, although I prefer the outside. The staff is eclectic and consistently friendly. If you would like to hang out at a non-pretentious café with a nice patio to watch the world spin by, then check this place. Be sure to bring good vibes...

Its fine. Compared to the other specialty coffee shops in town it doesnt really hold its own. Its more like Staufs than its like Mission or One Line.

Café Brioso is a nice corner café. The two daily soups, vegetarian black bean and tomato soup, were both flavorful. The barbecue chicken salad was very average. The seating in the place is a bit shabby.

Oh my God this is the greatest hidden gem of the city.

It was my first time here and the cashier was very polite and patient with me. She referred me to what she felt was a great beverage and explained it to me and a couple other drinks and asked me if I wanted something else. Everyone greeted me with a smike and the drink was amazing. I didnt have to add anything to it, it wasnt super hot so I could drink it without burning my tounge and it was presented with a leaf design. Super Kool I only seen that in movies and on tv. Loved it! Will be back for sure! No more Starbucks for me!

Brioso is a coffee roaster and shop, but the best reason to visit is the food.The coffee is what you would expect for a mid-sized, independent roaster and shop (the coffee drinks like lattes are better than the drip coffee), but the food is AMAZING!Im not talking about cookies and scones...those are--adequate...Im talking about some of the most AMAZING sandwiches you have EVER had! The soup, while not quite as stunning to the tastebuds, is so rich, flavorful, and filling that you just want to take a full lunch hour to enjoy a bowl with a thick slice of the best Focaccia in the downtown Columbus area.If you need caffeine, stop in for a latte...it is better than most other coffee shops especially the large chains...If you want to eat something so good you will slap yo mamma, though, stop in and get the Jerk Chicken Sandwich.

So disappointed. Ordered custom-made pour over (paid $1 premium), and was served coffee from a thermos. When I asked why it wasnt custom made, was told they dont do it in morning, instead, they make a large batch to serve. When I made it clear that I wasnt happy, barista shrugged shoulders. No offer to replace or refund.No way that coffee was pour-over; clearly it was drip brewed.Imagine every cliche of hipster coffee bar, its here.
