Like a thrift store where all of the clothes at actually good and high quality!

I had really good luck at the other Uptown Cheapskate up north but this was disappointing. Sold some clothes to them (less than 7 items and it took them over 30 minutes to appraise when they said itll take 5) and they only took 2 items (totally reasonable). I received the items they didnt buy and upon looking in the bag saw one of my items was missing. It had fallen in a box. Got the item back no problem. Was checking over the clothes today to sell to another place and saw ANOTHER dress was missing. I understand one item falling away but 2?! Both were nice dresses that definitely could have been sold again. Its not even worth going back to try and claim the dress as clothes left behind as are theirs past closing. So frustrating and I wont sell to them again.

First and foremost, Kenny is PHENOMENAL. He has such a sweet and calming demeanor and provides EXCELLENT customer service. Id hire him at my store in a heartbeat.HOWEVER:1. Clothes were EVERYWHERE. On the floor, slung over the racks, hanging off the hangers, and haphazardly organized. 8s in the 2s and XS in the M. Its hard to shop when I have to dig through every size in a game of Wheres Waldo to find a cute pair of jeans.2. No seating in the fitting room, so I have to put my clothes and purse on the dirty floor. Also makes it difficult to test how well my jeans will feel when Im sitting in class.3. Prices are WAYYY too high for consignment. $20 for a pair of used jeans that were bought off someone else for $2? People come here because they cant afford brand new clothes.4. Where is the rack for go-backs? Its super awkward to wait for the one of two associates working in the store to come grab the stuff from me that didnt fit.TLDR: Great customer service, poorly run business.

Uptown Cheapskate Hilliard is my hands down favorite store in Columbus! The staff is amazing, knowledgeable & so helpful when I need an outfit for my body & style! The managers are top notch & have set up such an amazing team & store. Its always clean & organized. I cant even remember the last time I went to a mall or ordered online for any clothes. I am so happy to show my love & support to Uptown stores. I have never walked out empty handed.

This is BY FAR the best Uptown Cheapskate location in the Columbus area. They have a great selection, fair prices, and the staff are always very sweet and welcoming. Ive sold here multiple times and they are always quick and personally notify you when they are done with your buy, which is greatly appreciated.

Favorite store.employees are very courteous. Great fashions, in my opinion its kinda grungie/chic and 70% of anything with an extra mark on tag! That is as of today. This gauzy cold shoulder summer dress was $2.90 after tax!!!

I came here with my sister for the first time, she loves this place and was horrified that this was first experience. I found a bunch of clothes that I wanted to try on and proceeded to wait by the fitting rooms as the two associates working cashed people out. One worker, Melanie, looked over and saw me waiting there patiently but did not acknowledge me. I continued to wait for 5-7 minutes and when she finished with her customer I asked to be let in a fitting room. At which point, she proceeds to tell me that the fitting rooms close 15 minutes before the store closes. It was 7:46pm. The fitting rooms closed one minute prior to this conversation. I felt that the lack of compassion for the fact that I had been there waiting for several minutes prior to the fitting rooms closing was completely rude, as was her approach. I put all the clothes back and I will probably not be returning.

This was my first time selling used clothes and my experience with the manager, Kenny, and the employees were very pleasant. Also one of the employee, Allison I think was her name, was helpful and accommodating.

Visited this place for the first time the other day. It’s very nice and unlike other stores like this. They have tons of name brand clothing and even sale some stuff they choose to sell in store so they have multiple sizes in it. They have anything you can name even name brand purses. All was very well priced and I plan to come here for my shopping needs now. They have small and large sizes so I would defiantly say they are plus size friendly. Plenty of parking and the staff was very friendly and attentive to customer needs and even showed me around the whole store since it was my first time in. Some great deals and great service.

This store is absolutely amazing 😍. I love it. Next time I am in Columbus Ohio I will be there to pick up some of their awesome items! Today I grabbed 2 pairs of athletic pants and scored them both for under $20.One pair still have the tags on them. Love this store.

What an awesome store!!! I shop Uptown for the majority of my clothing. I find things for work, nights out, special occasions and relaxing days on the couch. They truly have it all! A wonderful selection, quality items and a well organized store are just a few of the things I love about uptown. Today I attended my first bag sale. I purchased 2 bags for $30 total and was able to fill them with 40 items! Thats less than 80 cents an item. Several items still had store tags on them, including a dress with a $118 price tag on it! What a wonderful store. I recommend to anyone.

Cute clothes at a reasonable price. My Only gripe is when I sell I am told it is company policy that I have to wait in the store or risk accepting whatever they quote me on price. I wish they would update that policy.

Love Uptown to shop, just wish they werent so picky buying . I brought in 2 totes of junior clothing lightly worn in great condition and they didnt take not one piece . However I saw lots of clothing blended in with the good clothing that was dingy looking and not even up to standard for the store 🤷‍♀️

Very impressed. Was greeted almost immediately upon entering. I then asked some very specific questions and received just as specific answers. I decided to come back the next day to sell some old clothes and was greeted in the same fashion but by different people. They were just as knowledgeable and helpful as the first gentleman I met one day prior. Also offer more for my clothes than any other resaler Ive been to.

Good prices. Decent selection if youre a 36 or smaller waist or 32 or longer inseam. As a short legged bigger guy, the options are limited. I know that is based on what is offered, but I know there are tons of people my size out there.

Got some great shorts and a brand new Diesel wallet at a deep discount. Have been there a couple times and always greeted and treated very well. Next coupon day may go back for Gucci purse.

They inform you of deals as soon as you walk in. They are very nice, always with smiles, and are eager to help you with anything you need. By the way did I mention that there’s everything you need to get your fashion game on point?!?!

Had an amazing experience at the Hilliard location in Columbus Ohio, all of the employees were nice and courteous and helped me with any questions I had and there was a wide selection in the mens clothing and shoes that I looked at. I got a barely worn pair of size 14 closing ceremony Jordan 11s with the original box for under $150 which is a great price and they were having a 20% off sale when I went in. I highly recommend to anybody and even though I only looked in the mens section most of the store was actually womans apparel and accessories, purses and stuff of that nature so I highly recommend to anybody looking for deals and apparel. They definitely give Platos Closet a run for their money lol

Visited Uptown Cheapskate (Hilliard) for the first time today. When I walked in the employee was dealing with a woman who was aggressively trying to get him to negotiate the price of her Ugg boots. He was patient and calm during this interaction. I like stores like this for jeans shopping because you can try many brands, sizes and since I had a baby 2 months ago, I don’t know my size!? The employee offered me the biggest fitting room because of my stroller and offered to turn the music down because my baby was sleeping (which was not necessary but a very kind gesture). The store is super cute, clean, organized and had a great selection! I received $20 in vouchers to come back because I spent over $80 and since I didn’t use a plastic bag, they said they will donate the cost of said bag to charity. Will definitely be back! 😊

Came in after work with my co-works. This was my actual 1st time into this store. The location was right around the corner of the building (behind White Castles). The entry of Uptown Cheapskate was inviting... The store was fresh with new/updated items. The shoes were labeled by the actual size (which is a plus). Name brand items everywhere in this store. Make sure to look up high on the top shelf/around the registers, where you will find true Treasure ( Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada etc). The sale associates were All helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased this Beautiful Backpack/Purse made by Michael Kors (which is gently used). I matched it up with my wallet @home. I definitely would recommend this store for all occasions (Birthdays,Holidays also that little Black 👗just for you).

Don’t use my review as a judgement you might have a better experience than me. Soon as I walked into the store with my daughter in a Stroller one of the employees from behind the cash register rush near me to so called “fix the clothes on the rack” by the door, I just walked into the Establishment couldn’t get a greeting or nothing, after the employee “fixed the clothes on the Rack “ the employee walked away back to the register as just kept looking at me so I looked back and stayed at the same spot at the front door as my wife looked around . Seriously I could tell what was going on by the employee gesture and felt upset. Again don’t use my review to stop you from going there you might have a better experience but for me I will never step foot in there again.

Whenever we(my family and I) go into the store we always find something. It’s a plus for me because I can find trendy clothing and shoe for my size.

Wish they had more XL options but maybe the demographic they aim for prevents that. I still spent enough and knocked a few items off my vacation wardrobe list.

This one in Hilliard is a joke they give you weigh less than Platos Closet just tried to sell a brand new Victorias Secret wristlet still have the tags on it $48 and they offered me a dollar fifty for it

I went into the store today to sell a brand new pair off men’s ugg boots! I figured I would get offered a decent price being that they where new!!!! And they have a lot things in the store that are worn out and they are pricey. Example: they had two pair off ugg boots in there priced over $100 dollars and they were not new!!! but they offered me $20 dollars for my item. I will stick to platos closet because they at least try to offer you a value for your items and here there basically looking to steal your item from you. Also one of your employees is keeping customers away by telling them to just sell there things on eBay instead of coming here. Bad customer service and bad business... Thank you!

Always find pieces I need at great prices!

The staff was super friendly and greeted us promptly, showed us the sales going on etc. my issue is when my friend and I were checking out. The cashier swiped my friends card and check him out, gave him a receipt. I went up next, was in the process taking my card out to pay and the cashier hit some buttons on his till, printed out a receipt, gave it to me and said to have a nice day. I checked the touch pad on the counter and all it prompted was something about reviewing my points. The cashier once again said have a nice day so I ran after my friend to see if he paid for my stuff. He did not. Around 8 I get a call from uptown cheapskates saying my friend and I both need to come back in and pay for our items tomorrow before 8pm. I’m really confused as to what’s going on and why it’s was dealt with like this. I’m more then willing to pay for the item or just give the coat back because I never payed for it but how, exactly, does this happen?

Reminds me of the way Platos Closet used to be. The prices seemed fairly reasonable and the store looked clean and product was easy to sort through. Customer service wasnt their strongest feature, instead they were more worried about who was moving stuff from an official e so some one else could clean up q disaster area. Will return to see if production t availability is still good and the prices remain.

Ive never had such a bad experience - Ill never give them my business again. Took some clothes that had been sitting in storage in a box to try and sell. Good quality, barely used, but they had been in a storage area unused. Granted, I did not think to wash them before taking them (they hadnt been worn, just sitting in the same place for many months), and I take that responsibility, but the manager/owner (I believe) approached us multiple times and loudly repeated how they stunk like horse stalls (we keep a clean and smoke free home, and that area is pet free so?). Instead of nicely (quietly) suggesting to wash and bring back, he kept loudly making this embarrassing statement over and over, and other customers were staring. It was a truly horrible experience. We ended up donating to Goodwill where they will be of better use. Will never return!

I always find great items here. Prices are always fair and the staff is always helpful to too. The few items i have sold they have given me a fair amount of money for. Fair warning they do try to stay recent on trends so they did turn down some of my items i felt were in good condition,but i guess not the most recent of styles(ie my bootcut jeans), but they did explain why at least. I appreciated that. Overall i still consider it my new go to for thrifting!

A much hipper and cleaner version of OUAC or Platos. Understandable for some of the hiccups we experienced as this very soon after they opened for business. Nothing major or anything to really worry about. They are doing really well! Keep up the good work.

The workers are kind of rude and dont really show a sense of urgency when it comes to the customer I literally waited an hour in a half in store for my little bag of clothes of 4 shirts and a jacket and 4 hats I would understand if they were busy but they were all just standing up there talking no one was on the computer searching my items just talking about randomly things it wasnt till I walked up and asked about my things did they start working and said they needed an extra 15 minutes and dont get me started on the pricing all in all will not be back sticking to platos

Selection was pretty shoddy and way over priced for mens stuff. E.g. ( Calvin klein track jacket at least 5 years old for 54.99?)You could find better deals at the macys or kohls clearance rack
