This is my Saturday afternoon kick back and smoke me a stogey place! Seriously this place is very nice. They have very high quality cigars and a very good atmosphere.

I loved the atmosphere and the selection of bourbons. As a cigar bar, it wasnt terribly smoky, which I appreciated.

I have always enjoyed the ambiance of this lounge, the smoked old fashions are always well made.

This bar is fantastic. They make mix drinks, fancy cocktails, offer beer, but its the whiskey selection that will keep you here. The cigar shop is just outside the bar entrance and their associates are just as knowledgeable about the cigars as the bartenders are about their hooch. Classy place, good music, and an adult dress code.

Calling 18th Amendment a bar seems like an understatement. It is an experience that cannot be replicated by any other establishment. Their selection and atmosphere is absolutely exceptional and their service is unparalleledMatt, Matt, and Jess are extremely knowledgeable in all things whiskey and Columbus in general. Think you’re versed in whiskey? They’ll find you something you love that you’ve never had before. Never had whiskey a day in your life? They’ll find you a bottle you will love, if you trust their advice.I honestly could not recommend them enough. I look forward to the next time I’m in Columbus just to see them again.

The cigar shop part of the establishment is horrible!! The cigar selection is tiny tiny tiny unless you like mostly infused cigars (Acid, Deadwoods, Java…) or the Cohiba line. I ended up purchasing an Oliva V from their only box of the entire Oliva line and the their humidity has to be off. I bough one and went into the bar/cigar area to smoke it and it burned extremely uneven and super fast as I smoked the same exact cigar from another shop yesterday and it smoked like a dream. Also, on the cigar purchasing side they are absolutely WAY OVER PRICED!!(but I didn’t have my own stick on me and wanted to check out the bar lounge area) Now as for the bar/cigar lounge, that is a great spot to have a bourbon and a smoke. Staff is friendly and seem to be knowledgeable of the most important drinks needed. Liquor selection was nice, establishment was clean and well kept. Only complaint is there was no music at all and could use a nice blues track going on in the background. All in all bring your own sticks or you will be disappointed in their selection and care of their sticks and enjoy the bar.

Cigars are way over priced, got 4 cigars 1 fat bottom Betty which was 14.00, groovy blue 14.00 each for two and a Papi Van Winkle was 30+, this was ridiculous to be charged 86.00 for this selection of cigars. We will not be back. And after we were denied entry because one of us had on a Philadelphia Eagles shirt.

Been there several times in the past year and it is great everytime the wife and I go. They all know what they are talking about as far as cigars and drinks. Very chill atmosphere inside and old school as well.

Loved the bar, great service and amazing drinks. Had to deduct a star because its a cigar bar and I hate smoke. Now this is half the point of going there I imagine but I was brought there by a co-worker and didnt expect the smoke. The bartender was amazingly knowledgeable and the drinks were amazing.

Great experience bar for cigar and whiskey/bourbon lovers. Set up as a sort of speakeasy style, the cigar shop is up front if you just want to pop in to grab a few cigars. Brent who usually works up front is very helpful in picking out cigars. The bar area has a long bar with seats, and large comfy booths, and separate smoking chairs. Great for groups or couples. The owners/general manager (Matt) make sure the place is clean, attentive service, and amazing drinks! Want to try a new whiskey? Do a tasting. Want a craft cocktail? check out the menu or request your own. Want a regular drink (non-whiskey)? They have other liquor.If it isnt clear, I LOVE this place!! Just go! Sit back and relax.

Matt (bartender) is the best asset there! He knows his stuff. So many liquors to choose from.

So I was lucky enough to be here before all the COVID stuffs. Best bartenders and best drinks in Columbus GA. I can try to qualify this statement but the best way for you to know is to just go and see it for your self. I would say grab you a cigar then go sit at the bar and just enjoy. If you want something you have never tried tell the bartenders they can make almost anything you can thing of (yes I tried to stump the chump and lost)

The place is pretty phony ; simulated and aseptised ambiance. Not well done deco attempt according to me(why would one put TVs in a speakeasy?). Before even trying to ask politely, the bartender who was dressed like he was at a ball game immediately started yelling at my friend who doesnt speak English for wearing a ball cap(wich he was also doing at the moment and considering the blatant incomprehension on my friends face). Awful service. This being said, there is an outstanding selection of whiskey, bourbon and scotch. Also great cocktails... still wouldnt recommend.

Awesome place! The person manning the desk can sometimes be a little weird but they seem to know cigars. Theyll definitely offer a suggestion if you cant make up your mind, and if you need a place to smoke they might have a place in the back.

Between the vast selection of alcohol including many of my favorite whiskeys to some of the best cigars I have ever had. This is the place to enjoy an hour or two at Columbuss best cigar bar or spend the evening with some great company relaxing with bartenders that care about you.I will 100% be back and recommend this cigar bar to anyone I like.

Absurdly overpriced $66 dollars for one glass of Johnny Walker (blue label)?!

First time experiencing this place and any place like this. I enjoyed it so much I found another place much like it in Atlanta.Highly recommended. Dress casual, collar shirt. This place not cheap and its not for everyone, but its well worth it.

Personable employees! Convenient location in uptown Columbus right off Broad with a beautiful speakeasy in the back!

Definitely has a speakeasy feel. Cigar shop out front is small, but decent selection. Come well dressed as the lounge is behind closed doors with a bouncer waiting to card you. If you want to feel like a 20s gangster or just relax with a cigar and whiskey, this is the place.

One of my favorite places on Earth. A must stop if youre in Columbus, GA!

Fabulous hidden jem in town. Bartender knew his stuff and we had a great time.

The four stars is for Lance, the bartender. He made us feel welcomed, chatting with is while very focused and professional. An excellent bartender! If not for him, Id give this place 1 star. Theres no cigar selection to speak of...mostly bare shelves. They claim not to have a lot of accounts. The owner needs to buy out of state distributors. My advice, pay the $5 cutting fee and bring your own smokes. Ill be back, with my own cigars. This place is a great start, just needs a lot more effort on the cigar side.

A must if you are in Columbus. A whiskey selection that betters many big city bars. Great service and even better selection of brown goods. If you have always wanted it, they have it.

18th Amendment is a great place to meet up with friends and have a good time. The atmosphere here is perfect, extremely mature and none of the nonsense you get at party bars. The bartenders (and patrons) all have an extraordinary amount of knowledge on the spirits they offer. Highly recommended for a calm night out!

Currently my favorite bar in Columbus. You pay a lot for those drinks, but there isnt any cheap liquor in them and they are actually made the way god intended. Best bar staff in town, hands down. Even when crowded they keep up with you...even if youre off in a corner. Personally, early evening with a spot at the bar is the way to go. Or if you got a crew, get there early enough to sit in the living room towards the back. Blood and Sand with a nice Oliva V series...man, thats living large right there.

Great Bourbon& Cigar speakeasy style lounge with enormous selection Schotch, Bourbon,Rye. We also have a wide variety of cocktails that are artfully crafted with the freshest ingredients. Also a great ventilation system so even if you dont smoke you can still enjoy yourself.

Excellent drinks. It is a smoking bar so if that bothers you it is not your place. But the smoked old fashion is one of the best.

Worst new years eve party, no dance floor and only a few tables for VIP rest have to stand. So for new years standing around watching a bunch of guys smoke cigars and music you could barely hear. Not next year.

Drinks are excellent, definitely a certain kind of crowd.

The interior of this location is excellent. However with a large group you’ll want to go elsewhere as seating is very limited. The aspect of 18th amendment that should be emphasized is the speakeasy style bar. The cocktails and whiskey selection rival the Carnegie Club in NYC however it is more bourbon centered than scotch which makes sense for the vibe they are going for. That being said the prices are sky high here. It’s Columbus not NYC or Chicago. Get real.I say that the aspect that should be emphasized is the bar because the cigar selection is appalling and drastically overpriced. I’ve been in cigar lounges across the country from Blends and Burns to small Brick and Mortars and I’ve never seen anyone try to sell a Punch Classico Champion or a Perdomo Champagne for $16! If you are an avid cigar smoker and know what you like BRING YOUR OWN STICK! I would have loved an LFD or anything Drew Estate but no. We were limited to the most basic Fuentes and Gurkhas with about a million variations of the Acid line for the “Rational Consumer”All in all the only reason this location gets 2 stars is because of the exceptional Boston Sour and Old Fashioned I had while there.Should be called 18th Amendment Cocktail Lounge.
