I took my nephews and nieces here. They had a blast. We had about a 5-minute walk from where we parked, which was okay because it was like a little adventure for the little ones. They also loved picking their own candy. I also liked the cashier she was very helpful and friendly. She even gave us the best deals. My reason for 4 stars is because I bought about 50 flavors (there were at least 100 flavors) of taffy, more than half were very hard. While most of them had a good flavor, a few of them tasted old. Overall it was a fun experience for the kids but due to pricing we will continue to go to your local candy store.

Its always a treat to go to Rocket Fizz. Every type of soda on the flavor spectrum, from cola to bacon flavored, can be found here. Plus, theres a great assortment of candy and gifts to be found. Its a great place to bring kids while visiting the Short North.

A little pricey but to find vintage candy with a beautiful rustic outlay it really feels like when I was a kid walking into a candy store plus the employees are very nice and helpful.

Love love love this place! Please check the door before paying the meter! Would be five stars but they were closed!We go for every kids birthday and they have a fantastic time! We came on January 4 and the sign said open we paid the meter were so excited to go inside and the door was locked. There was a sign on the door saying close January 11 and January 4.

We visited Saturday around noon, 12/26. The lady that worked here was so rude. She told my daughter she couldnt touch a certain candy, but turning around and touching the same kind of candy on a different table was fine. Then my total came up to $33, so I gave her a $50. ( All I had). She goes Just so you know for future reference I wont take bills that high, but Ill be nice this time.. There were no signs stating what type of bills werent accepted. Like if you dont want my money thats fine, Ill go somewhere else. If you think you allowing me to pay you to buy from your store is being nice then Im not going to leave a nice review. Wont be back.

Staff is incredibly rude. We came in over the weekend and asked a question about some of the candy. The guy working gave an incredibly condescending response and gave us a dirty look when we tried to continue shopping. We put back what we we were going to buy and left.

I was just in this store recently - a first time customer. Awesome selection of taffy and specialty sodas! The two women working were very friendly, and I appreciated them standing up for me and my kids personal safety while we were shopping. This is a small business trying to operate in a difficult time while also being a good steward towards the community. Please continue to support them! I will definitely be going back with my kids!

Lady was very rude to us and the couple who came in before us. Very bossy and condescending. We ended up putting the candy we were gonna buy back and so did the couple in front of us. I like the candy shop so it sad that the worker ruined the spirit of it. Do better Rocket Fizz :(

Rocket Fizz is always a hit with the kids and a good way to have a treat after a walk around downtown. Although overpriced it is worth the money from time to time for the sheer fun of the environment.

Street parking right in front of the store. During the time of covid, they are strict with sanitizing your hands when you walk in and following the arrows for one way traffic. Huge selection of candy. And the variety of taffy is wonderful. Ps, if you are looking for different kinds of pop, they have a huge selection.

Its a super fun store with all sorts of sweets including different kinds of pop (soda). They even have stuff from movies like Harry Potter!

This place has an amazing assortment of candy and soft drinks, a majority of which are not available at your local big box grocery store. Dont expect cheap prices because these are unique items, and the store needs to make a profit.

This place is incredible! Huge variety of throw back candy and unique finds. Their metal signs are fantastic (witty and unique). Tons of random cool soda bottles. Their pricing is really reasonable and the guy behind the counter was hilarious and really helpful. Highly recommend taking a trip here.

Such a fun store! A great selection of candies. Their taffy come in so many different flavors and is very soft. They have a great selection of home made sodas. The birthday cake is almost like a liquid cake mix. Yum! I cant wait to go back!!

What a unique little store! Ive never seen so many different flavors of soda in my life, and the many different flavors of taffy were quite impressive too. I found the best ginger ale Ive ever had, here, and even found some hard ginger candies. All of this, along with a sweet helpful girl working behind the counter, just made my day 🙂

Pretty cool little place! It has an abundance of cool sodas to try and a couple of favorites that are difficult to find elsewhere. It also has an impressive taffy collection. A tad low on the candy selection, I thought. Theres definitely some good candy, though.

Great place to satisfy a sugarcraving

So many candy choices and more soda than I could ever drink. I love that they have varieties you dont see elsewhere and foreign candy too. So much fun! The nostalgic feeling of the shop is great and the prices are better than I expected! Loved it!!

I loved this place... being older, almost 59, it was a nostalgic trip. They had all the old favorites in candy and novelties and had brands and names I had never heard of. My you fest son, Sean, was really into the place and had me try several different flavors of soda... open-mindedly... it was a great time.

A wonderful selection of sodas and candy from yesteryear. I spent my life savings on a dozen and a 1/2 different types of Root beer. I was in heaven!

Super cool large variety of soda, especially weird and eccentric flavors, but still carries many normal soda brands in glass bottles as well. Its almost a little overwhelming, but the clerk seems very willing to help. They even had my favorite Mexican candy! Will definitely visit again.

Classic soda shop. There are sodas of all flavors. The sodas are sold in bottles individually. There are small discounts for buying in packs. $0.50 off for 4. A little more off for 6. Ive found some new favorites in this store. They also sell taffy by the bag and have other candies. If youre buying your soda to drink now, they have a bottle opener on the wall on your way out of the store. Also all the posters and tin signs on the wall are for sale too!

This place is awesome! So many candies from all over the world. And an amazing selection of sodas (pop) from all over too.I bring my kiddo here with a friend and they go nuts with all the options. I usually take home a few sodas (discount for make your own 6-pack) and some candy for myself.

Very good candy store. It has a large variety of candies that are purchaseable here that ranges from Japanese candy to normal rock candies that you could find at any other candy store. It has giant jawbreakers, unique baby bottle pop flavors and types, hundreds of sodas that you wouldnt find anywhere else and many more things.

It was so fun. All the soda flavors are so original but theres also some standard flavors as well. Would recommend to friends in the area

Fun place. I grew up in the seventies and they had a lot of my favorites from childhood. Many different kinds of candy and any kind of soda you can imagine. The walls are lined with different sodas. One of my favorites I used to drink is called Rock and Rye and they had it here.

The best place to go for candy and pop. The taffy is great and variety of choice. The pop is excellent. Dont forget to get the rewards card for the individual pop. They have candy from the 80s and above. I love this place.

Cool place to explore. The absolute best Taffy to be found, and they give free samples if youre buying! The only place that has a larger variety of sodas is down in Cincinnati, and sometimes thats just too far to go!

This a quirky Soda shop with a capital S because it has hundreds of sodas and sweet treats. You can find all your favorite flavors, and new ones to try, even a few to try on a dare😊 We even picked up a new Butterbeer flavor that is as good as the Harry Potter world Butterbeer at Universal.

If you want any type of candy, go here. Its a little hard finding a parking space but its worth the trip. They have nostalgic candy, modern day candy, and all the sugary sodas youd ever want. I came to this location in search for Japanese Kit Kats and they had them along with a nice selection of other Asian candies.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars...Its a cool shop with a mind blowing amount of retro/new/imported candy, bulk salt water taffy, and an equal number of soda (including butter beer!!!!). The guy working was super nice and willing to give recommendations depending on what type of candy you were looking for.The issue is the price. Most of their stuff is between the $1.50 to $2.00 (that includes things like Snickers). A single pack of fun sized Kit-Kat was $.99.

This store was filled with a wide variety of candy and old fashioned soda, the store itself was very clean and well put together. Rhe only thing I didnt like was the staff did not greet me at all but other than that its a cool place to go to if you want to try some old fashioned soda

Fun shop. Has a million different flavors of sodas. I was able to find Radars drink of choice (Nehi Grape), so that was exciting. The BF finally found a place that still sells super rope too, so he was happy as well. I kinda wish they carried more varieties of hard to find/imported candy, though. Would love to find a place that still has Wonka Bars or carries Double Deckers 😉
