I bought my first DSLR camera for the class Beginner One class and have no photography experience prior. The class was organized perfectly to get me familiar with the basic functions of the camera and how to improve the quality of my photos. The class material is a great reference I plan to keep going back to as I learn and practice more. The class outing was the perfect way to ask additional questions and get immediate feedback on my areas to improve. Braddley really makes the material easy to understand and the class is well organized. He is willing to answer all questions and helped me feel much more confident as I continue to learn about and practice with photography! Cant wait to take the Beginner Two class!

Loved the class, the workbook really helped me in understanding things I just couldnt grasp on my own. The class is small enough so that if needed any 1-on-1 the instructor would be there to help. Braddley is just super helpful all together, and the biggest perk was that I can retake the class again at no cost if I need a refresher. At some point I will be signing up for the more advanced class! Thanks Braddley ❤️

This training is very useful for Photography Enthusiasts. They have classes for all level learners.I took a beginner class and it really helped me overcome my struggles of handling the basic controls of camera. This training helped to get closer to my gear and be ready to explore the field of photography more. They make few theoretical classes and a final outing class to explore practically of what we have learnt in the classes. The outing was more fun to tryout. The instructor is very friendly and helpful.Their class sizes are pretty small so we can get personal attention from the instructor which makes it more worthier. They have advanced classes for editing and post production too.

I was very pleased with this class (Photography One). Braddley is knowledgeable and has an excellent teaching style that combines easy to understand written materials along with demonstrations in class using your own camera. He encourages questions and is willing to spend the time necessary to insure that each member of the class understands the material. Like with any art, it is very important to have a mentor help you take those first steps that form the foundation you can build upon. This is what Bradley did for me in the beginner class I took at Shutterbug Training. His expertise and years of experience in photography reflects in the classes as well as the material. He understands what the beginner is looking for and makes sure we understand the concepts well by giving examples and taking pictures during the classes. I took the Beginner Photo One class, and I was not disappointed! I already had experience with photography back with film, so I didnt want this to be an intro class. It wasnt - I learned so much in just the first class about settings on my camera and the real relationship between aperture, ISO and shutter speed, all of which I just knew the definitions of but didnt know how to actually use them together. It really helped me be able to use my DSLR camera instead of just using auto mode. Its also the best value in Columbus. 4 classes for 225, 2-2.5 hours long each, and then you can attend free outings the rest of the year to practice (if you took the course). He took the time to help us become familiar with buttons, settings and many other things that our cameras are capable of! I honestly feel like I learned a ton of information, but presented in a way that didnt overwhelm me. Braddley made sure that every question was answered, and that each one of us got individual attention. The outing at the culmination of the class was great. Once again, Braddley gave us individual attention and showed us techniques to help us improve our photography skills. There were only five of us in the group, and Braddley stayed with us the entire time. In addition to overseeing our practice on the skills we learned, he also showed us a couple of pretty unique photo tips.I plan on taking the Beginner Two class and am looking forward to another wonderful experience. Cant say enough about how valuable this class has been for my confidence, and hopefully for my future photos!! Thank you for a great experience, Braddley.

I have taken several other photography classes. All explaining the functions of the camera and modes. Instead of just the how, Braddley explains the why. This class definitely made it all come together. The group outing was the icing on the cake. Instead of critiquing the photos taken, we were taken thru a series of exercises to put into practice the lessons learned in class. Id highly recommend the class and cant wait for the next one to start.

The beginner class is great! I had just bought a dslr camera and trying to learn it on mine own was very challenging. I found this class online and Im so glad I decided to take it. Braddley is a great instructor and very approachable if you have any questions or need help with your camera. He also allows you to take the course again at any time if you need to!

This was a great course. I have been taking pictures for many many years and this course really filled in many of my knowledge gaps. Clear explanations of difficult concepts, comprehensive powerpoint notes and plenty of time to ask questions. Wish I would have taken this course years ago!

What a great class! Over the years I have tried to educate myself on how to use my camera on something other than automatic but would quickly become overwhelmed. But Braddley did such a great job making it easy to understand that I FINALLY get it! The were lots of images used to show how different setting impact the end result and that was great for a visual learner like me. And he always takes the time to answer questions, even if class goes a little over time. Anyone who wants to get the most out of their camera should take this class. I am amazed at how much I learned in just four weeks.

Braddley is an amazing photographer and instructor. He is fun and very knowledgeable. I learned a great deal about what photography really means, I came to understand how to take great photos and even learned about my own equipment. Believe me, it is much better than any tutorial or online class, so I totally encourage you to take his classes. It is so worthwhile!

I really enjoyed this course. Camera basics can be a pretty dry subject, but Bradd was able to present each concept in a clear and concise manner, providing practical examples to make them easy to understand. Bradd truly enjoys working with his students, and does whatever it takes to make sure theyre getting the most out of his classes. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in learning the basics of photography in a fun and relaxed setting, regardless of skill level.

I have taken both the beginner class and the Lightroom editing class and I can not recommend them enough! Braddley makes understanding photography fun and interesting.Braddley also makes everyone feel welcome to reach out inbetween classes to get advice and guidance on your camera which I think makes these courses worth every single cent!If you’re on the fence- do it! You won’t regret it and you’ll honestly learn so much in the 4 weeks. I walked away from the first course with the confidence and knowledge to successfully operate my camera and take some great photos. Can’t wait until November to start the next lot of classes!

I started the class with very little knowledge about my DSLR camera after having it for a couple years. This class will teach you about all the settings on your camera and how to use them in addition to general photography best practices. The pace of each class was neither slow or overwhelming. This class exceeded my expectations and I look forward to future classes offered by Shutterbug.

Braddley is very invested in making sure our class understands what he is teaching us as well as making it fun too. I have owned my camera for almost 10 years and never had the courage to take it off the automatic settings. I have learned more in my first two sessions than I had from reading blogs on the Internet. I learn best in a classroom and I am looking forward to taking Shutterbugs second photography course and the Lightroom course as well!
