If you are looking for a place to continue your home brewing hobby, advance it, or just start out this is the place to go! they have by far the best prices of any of the local brew shops, which there arent that many anymore, they are centrally located, and they have anything you need. The dog paid more attention to us than the owner did. The owner also does not wear his mask. We walked in and informed him that we were looking for grains, hops, and yeast. He said “I’m taking a break” and did not even make eye contact with us. We were the only people in the store. With service like this, I’m not surprised.He took a phone call instead of helping us and he answered it “why aren’t you here yet?” - assuming he was talking to one of his employees.I have been coming to this store for the better part of 3 years but I won’t be back

Great selection and knowedgable staff.

Service here is great. Ive gotten attentive help and fantastic advice every trip Ive had to make there. Unfortunately Ive had to make several trips over the same item. I purchased a 5gal keg from them and unfortunately its been nothing but problems. First the main cap wouldnt seal so I lost the first batch, after the second batch was pressurized there is now a leak in the 3 pronged peg lock when I put it above 10psi. If you live far away like I do, these little issues become huge inconveniences.

Awesome brewing store in the heart of Columbus. Everyone that works here is so warming and welcoming to help. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the store owner has such a great connection to brewers throughout Columbus. Feels like meeting up with family each time I shop. Prices are extremely competitive, and they even offer to mill for you! The store has even been willing to offer me a complimentary bag of experimental malt (like a beta trial before sale). The staff is extremely knowledgeable and Jim, the owner, holds his business, his selection, and his staff to the highest standards. They have the largest selection of grains and hops than anywhere else in the area and will not hesitate to drop inferior products for higher quality. If there is something you need, he will find it for you and get you the best price. Local breweries will call Jim when they run short or need a specialty grain that they cannot find elsewhere at a moments notice. He also gives a 10% discount to veterans and 5% to AHA members.

I have known Jim, the owner for more than 6 years. He has built an excellent business against tall odds, doing it through providing great products at reasonable prices and with a fervent desire to please his customers. There are ignorant people out there that occasionally try to make his business look bad. They can’t, because he runs an honest, top shelf business. Jim, the owner, is friendly, knowledgeable, affable, and enjoys spending time with his novice customers as well as his old timers. His employees quickly learn the business and are well prepared to help with any questions you might have. Excellent, great quality equipment, grains, hops yeasts... Buckeye Brewcraft is a great place to find brewing supplies. I make wine at home and their selection of regular and seasonal wine kits is wonderful. If they dont have what I need I can always order it and they have it within a week. I would highly recommend this place! The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic brewing supply store with always fresh supply. Prices are comparable with online prices when shipping is considered but always more fresh! Take the staffs advice, they will not steer you wrong even if there is a more costly alternative. Flip side, if they suggest to spend a few extra bucks on a better product...do it. Ive done several side-by-side comparisons with my ideas and their suggestions and their suggestions have always been worth it.

I have only been there once as of yet, but I really liked this place. Good selection and prices. I got to talking with the owner, and he seems really excited and passionate about what he is doing. He seemed eager to talk with me and answer all the questions I had and gave me some good advice. When I told him I had driven an hour to get there he even gave me some free cold packs to keep my liquid yeast fresh for the ride home. I recently moved closer, and despite living closer to other home brew supply stores I will be coming here for all my brewing needs.

Top Notch Business. I live all the way over in Dublin and use Buckeye Brewcraft for my one-stop everything I need homebrew store. The best part is that I can call ahead and BB will tell me if they have everything I need (they usually do and its usually really fresh) and then hold my order for me until I can pick it up. The team at Buckeye Brewcraft is great. I feel like whenever I go in with questions I not only get a good explanation but a recommendations for what they would do themselves as home-brewers. Oftentimes when they recommend a product in the store theyll also give a DIY recommendation. I feel like theyre there to help me figure out what kind of home-brewer I want to be, not just trying to get me to spend money.They also have classes regularly for a variety of topics which can be a great way to get exposure to a topic youre interested in. There are also fairly regular competitions which are a great way to get feedback on your brews from experienced brewers.

Outstanding place, Jim was very helpful I spent over two hundred dollars.. The stuff he has is good quality. I was having trouble finding the cooking burners.. And he had two ...he ask if I was a veteran to take money off..I enjoyed talking to him. That woman that thinks common core is good...you do not know anything about this...do you have children... I bet you dont.

Great home brew store. Prices are better than any of the others in Columbus. Their stock gets bigger each time Im in there. The owner is friendly and loves home brewing. I sent my wife in for some yeast once and the owner gave her his number and said if I had any questions when Im brewing I should call him. Cant get that kind of service anywhere else! Way cheaper than The Winemaker Shop in Clintonville. They have a good selection of ingredients and equipment, as well as helpful staff. Plus they have a cute dog that was nice and let you pet it.

If you are new they have classes and a wide variety of kits and if you are experienced they have the best prices on bulk grains in all Columbus. BBC is my go to for all brewing and wine/cider/mead making needs. Prices are as good as youll find anywhere, and if you need grain doubled milled (for BIAB) theyll do it, no questions asked.

Buckeye Brewcraft is the cream of the crop when it comes to a local business and doing what they do - supply homebrewers and winemakers. They are also the best in the business helping those who are new to homebrewing become educated in the craft. They have the best variety of ingredients and equipment in the area. Also ask about the plethora of classes they hold to help you become a better brewer or vintner. I would rate them a 10 star out of 5 if Google allowed extra credit.
