I ordered my boat in June and just picked up my new 252S last week just in time for Labor Day. These guys jumped through hoops to prep the boat and have it looking fantastic for delivery. The process was great from my in person inquiry to delivery, Doug and Jerry are great to work with!

What a great business to deal with… Doug in sales was a straight shooter and helped me track down a boat that I would have never found on my own. Finance was a breeze, and the owner/team completed everything I would need in advance. 1.5 hour run through and pick from out of state could not have been more thorough or seamless. New Yamaha AR250 delivered on every aspect of its design and performance.

I will never take my business to sizzle marine ever again. I called them and told them I have a brand new 2021 mercury 9.9 right out of the box that has carburetor issues and they told me bring it in we can fix it. I drive a half hour to take them my motor and when I get there they tell me we cant help you. They said they have no test tank to test my outboard so they refused to work on it.

Came all the way from NJ to buy my jet ski! They made the process smooth it was an in and out thing! Didn’t last 1hr at this place!!Great service!Mike was super knowledgeable, professional and very nice!Also Jerry had everything ready for us!Great job guys!! Thanks

I got my two Jetski‘s I bought this summer from sizzle marine winterized in a timely manner. It has been a great experience doing business with Sizzle marine before during and after the sale.

Sizzle supposedly winterized our boat in October 2020. When we got it out of storage the lower unit was ruined because they didnt get the water out of the gear case. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT TO SIZZLE!!!

Great service and sales. They really take the time to answer all questions. Went over all aspects of the boat. Every person there made it a point to go out of there way to help. You can tell they have a good team. Most of all salesman was not pushy to make a sale which makes a more relaxing decision when buying. Can’t wait to get boat on water.

Came in to pick up some decals I ordered. Manager was telling customer that whoever did their winterization left plugs out and some were missing. Customer tells them that they are the ones who did that service. Manager starts raising his voice and yelling at the customer who was polite the whole time. Manager tells customer that they are going to charge him double and then throw him out. Not only did this so called manager lose that customer but they lost me as well. Any good manager should know that they should not treat customers that way then say they are going to double their bill. Especially when it was their fault. That’s horrible

We had a great experience at Sizzle, we had been shopping around quite a bit and almost purchased a boat from another dealer when I came accrossed them on line. Ultimately they got us a much better deal, a bigger boat with a bigger motor with more warranty for a significantly lower payment and a much lower interest rate. On top of all that we get a 15% discount on anything we buy in their store for a long as we own the boat.

Visited Sizzle as we are purchasing a new Yamaha Jet Boat. We would have purchased from Sizzle but they didn’t have the boat in stock. I’m glad I didn’t give them my business.Went in to get a few measurements and was completely put off by the salesman. I was the only customer at the time. I politely asked if they could fold down the tower so I could take a measurement. The sales guy said it was too much work and he didn’t want to mess with it. I get it, I’m not purchasing a boat from them (but would have brought them my business on maintenance) but how hard is it to pull two pins to drop a tower? LAZY!I called back and spoke to the owner about his salesperson and he ended up yelling, cussing, and hanging up the phone on me. He said he didn’t want me scratching up his boat even though I asked a salesperson to do it. Apparently he is also delusional. I was pretty appalled until I started reading all the negative reviews on Yelp and here.I can’t believe this dealership is still in business and I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. He should do himself a favor and just shut down. Stay clear of this place! Take your money and business elsewhere!EDIT: My point exactly. I was “wasting” the owners time by asking questions and being the only customer in the store. Why don’t you go fly a kite instead.

Searched for a few years and contacted sizzle multiple times with questions that they always answered to their best. Finally found the boat for me! They don’t give much in the way of discounts but they do price their merchandise fairly based on regional rates. Bob and the boys from finance to service did a great job. They made it an easy and smooth process with zero pressure. Definitely recommend!

Sizzle Marine staff have always been friendly and knowleable about their products. This is the third boat I have purchased from them, one used and two new and each experience has been enjoyable.

This place will only allow you to buy a boat if you finance the purchase (probably with a related company of theirs). No cash offers. Maximum downpayment of 20%. The sales member I spoke with got quite argumentative when asked why that was the case. “Fraud” was the original excuse before defaulting to “I’m the seller, so we’ll sell it they way I want.” In the end it’s their choice, just comes across as unprofessional and a bit sleazy. FYI for all potential buyers.

Sizzle Marine is a wonderful boat store. I bought my ski boat there in 2003. Since then, Ive had no problems at all with the boat. The service is great. They clean, shrink wrap and store my boat every winter. They also have all the equipment you might need, such as water skis, tubes and life jackets. If you want a specialty item, such as a life jacket for your dog, they will be happy to special order it. If you buy your boat from them, you will get a 15% discount off the equipment you buy. For a reasonable fee, they will take your boat from their facility to any local lake, launch it for you, and tie it to your mooring space. And theyll also bring your boat back to their facility at the end of the boating season. The employees there are super friendly and are always eager to help you meet your boating needs. P. S. They did not pay me to make this comment. I did it simply because they are an awesome group of people!

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Sizzle to find a pristine 2004 Four Winns at a great price. Doug was a pleasure to deal with as well as the owner (cant remember his name). They got us in and out quickly. Would definitely buy from them again!!!

My family and I are new boat owners this year. My husband is doing some work on the boat and we stopped at Sizzle Marine for some advice and maybe grab more life jackets and tubes. While talking with the two guys that were there the older gentleman informed us they wouldnt even look at our boat because it is a 1983. Actually they only work on boats that are up to five years older. The professionalism of the older gentleman was nasty. He didnt care to talk about the boat or even give advice to us. This guy was an older gentleman (50s maybe) and we all know he has worked on boats for many many years, but wouldnt help us out. We asked when we could bring the boat in and he said they wouldnt even look at it. What??????? So unprofessional of a marine shop and boat repair to turn down business. We decided against purchasing anything from this shop and I would advise people to think twice before using this shop for repairs or purchasing boat supplies.

Mike at Sizzle Marine was great. It took some time from when I initially came in to look at the boat until I finally convinced the wife and settled on financing, but Mike wasnt pushy like the typical salesman which was a relief. When I came in to purchase my Yamaha AR240 they changed the terms of the loan for me quickly and without any issues. The communication and professionalism exhibited by the whole staff is what distinguishes Sizzle Marine from other places. I look forward to having my boat serviced by them!

I have known the Rutherfords for over 30 years! Purchased two boats from them. They have been great to work with. I just had my boat tuned up and some repair done. The boat runs like when I purchased it. I’m not sure about the bad reviews. My daughter purchased her personal watercraft from Sizzle. We have not experienced anything but great service from great people. I would highly recommend Sizzle for a new purchase or a tune up or repair.John

Sizzle marine made buying our boat the easiest process ever. I figured it would be like buying another vehicle setting in the dealership for two days, dealing with unprepared people! Well I assure you this is not the case, I called them up and told them what boat we wanted and they said ok well have everything ready for You when you get here and they did! From start to finish from when I showed up was maybe 1 hour - hour and a half but that’s doing all the paperwork, they give you a step by step instructions on the boat, all the safety gear knowledge etc! Not to mention when everyone else was out of boats these guys could make it happen! Well never go anywhere else for our boat needs! Thanks sizzle marine

Cant get my boat for the weekend. Sunday at 12:18 their hours state theyre open 12 to 3 and I want to boat tomorrow for Memorial Day. There is nothing stating theyre not open today and theres nothing when you call stating they have holiday hours I guess they just make it up as they go. Update. After this review they kicked me out said they didnt want me there. Good redience.

Me and my wife got our first boat on the 8th of August 2020. We got a 2021 AR190, we had a blast this weekend and hope to have plenty more in the future. Bob was our salesman and made the process pretty quick and easy. All the staff were very professional.

I was interested in a used 2017 Yamaha AR190 for sale and used the text option on the sizzle website, which put me in contact with Bob Luft. I stated I was interested and wanted more information. He asked me to stop by and I explained I live in California and was interested in either having the boat shipped or I could come get it if everything worked out. I asked for pictures of the boat since the link I saw on the website only had stock photos. I told Bob this and instead of giving me the exact link he stated I am looking at them on our website. He was extremely rude and unwilling to help me out. I askes multiple times if they had any boat history reports or more information considering how far the drive is and all he continued to say was Let me know if you want to proceed, which I obviously did asking such information about the boat. Eventually I told him I would contact someone else who was willing to assistance me with more information.

Three sales people on the floor none said Hi to my me. White blond shows up and everyone is happy to help!!Update:In reply to Owner:Your White Fragility is showing!The correct answer would be something along the lines of “We are terribly you had a bad experience, please stop by so we can find out what we can do better. Decided it was time to buy a pontoon. After checking all options I ended up at Sizzle Marine. It was a very pleasant experience. I came in on July 2nd and wanted to have a boat on the water for the holiday weekend and they made it happen.

Got my boat winterized here. Called back in summer for startup . They decline to work on it since it was old boat (1998)Called back again and they were fine to have it bring it back ( slow time ) I guess . When I pickup, tail light was missing which I disregard. When I got home the fuel gauge was broken and missing . Good people but just not happy with there service . And extremely unhappy with broken fuel gauge .

Tried to buy parts for my boat they would not even sell them to me the guy working the parts department and answering the phones insulted me and refused to sell me parts and things I was trying to orderP.s.- this guy told me you can’t polish stainless steel and I sure polished my unit put back together and pumping properly never have I met such an unprofessional group of people!So if they are telling you you’re water pump housing is shot some one needs to sue them !

Jerry Rutherford, what can I say...I dont know what your niche is, but it isnt boat sales. Rude from the very beginning. We drove 2.5 hours to purchase our new SX195 from Sizzle. Within minutes of looking the boat over, we found minor scratches on the bow. We agreed to pay full price for the boat if they would correct the scratches. The owner, Jerry, looked at the scratches and said they were hardly noticeable. I offered to walk out to the boat and show him the scratches I was referring to and then he interrupted me and said theres no scratches. He asked what we wanted him to do and I politely asked him to have someone buff the scratches out. He replied how about this, lets just not do it, as he pulled the financing paperwork away. He started whining like a child saying how good of an interest rate he had gotten us (the financing was offered through Yamaha, he had nothing to do with the rate). He then proceeded to go out into the showroom in front of his employees (and whatever customers were in there shopping) and screamed were not doing it Doug, they want the boat for free! We never offered a penny less than the price that was asked. We just wanted our brand new $40k boat to not have scratches. Weird, I know. We canceled the insurance wed put on the boat and drove home. Needless to say, we have locked in a deal on another SX195 at a different dealer and have had a terrific experience thus far (at the same exact interest rate). The Yamaha Dealer Development Team was appalled by my experience. Doug, our salesman, remained professional throughout the experience.

Wow! I have never been treated like this at a business in my entire life. Im kicking myself for not reading reviews on this place before I drove there as Ive grown accustomed to. I dealt with someone who was threatening, not truthful, and more importantly--seriously disturbed. All I can say is read all the other one star reviews. I can concur with what these people are saying. I feel much better knowing that my experience was not an isolated incident. Also, read the defensive bizarre unprofessional responses you get from the owner. Those alone are enough to prove to you to stay clear. I dont care what organizations have bestowed an honor on this place; whatever criteria they use, they clearly ignore the reviews Ive been reading. And, since this behavior seems to be a recurring pattern for some time, no one else working there spoke up, and the guy hasnt been fired, Im guessing the person I dealt with is actually the owner. Perhaps the legitimate people that gave a higher rating managed to stay clear of the person I met. I actually know what boat I want, but I am going elsewhere. I DO NOT recommend stepping one foot in this place. Creepy!

By far the worst customer service experience Ive ever had as a consumer. I bought a new boat from a different dealer because it was $5,000 cheaper than what Sizzle Marine quoted me. I even called back to see if they could price match and they offered $750 and two years of engine service. The first time I ran into needing service, I called in and they told me to take my boat back to where I bought it for service and hung up on me after they realized I didnt buy from them. Ive spoken with several other Yamaha boat owners in Columbus and the first quote I got from them after my experience was I wouldnt buy rope from them. This all happened a month before I was leaving for vacation on the lake with my boat.I called my sales rep from where I bought the boat and he said get it up here and well immediately run it through diagnostics. I had it towed up there and he had it fixed within 45 minutes and the boat was brought right back to me. If a tsunami was going to hit Westerville, Ohio I wouldnt go to Sizzle Marine for a life jacket.If youre in the Columbus area looking to buy any of the brands they sell, call Leaders RPM in Kalamazoo, MI. If you need more proof, scroll below and read the owners response to the peoples reviews. He doesnt respond with class or dignity.

I’ve been a boat owner for 20 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for boat needs. They service the bottom of my boat every year and do a great job. The guys have tons of experience between them and have fixes for everything. Their showroom is really nice too. Gotta love that new boat smell.

This place is horrible, went there with cash in hand to purchase a used boat. The sales rep knew nothing about the boat whatsoever and they couldnt even show me that the lights and pumps work. DONT BUY A USED BOAT FROM THIS PLACE!

Efficient, friendly and reasonable. They pulled my boat out of the water and winterized it. I came to them after some friends of mine said they have only used Sizzle for the past 10 years. I should learn to listen to my friends more often because the service I received was great and attention to quality repairs was spot on. They did a good job at what I used them for.
