Would not rent a Uhaul from here. I made the reservation days in advance only for them to not put the key in the lockbox. Thankfully Uhaul customer service was able to help me get a truck immediately from Ogles Storage.

The service was awesome. We developed alternator trouble outside of Indianapolis and ended up stopping in Columbus. After calling around, it was suggested we call Lanning Automotive and we were so glad we did. Their concern for our situation was genuine and they worked with us to resolve our problem. Even though it was on a Friday night and after regular business hours Becky and the technician stayed to get us back on the road. We were very thankful.

I wouldnt go here if I were you. They like to charge you for zero work done on your vehicle prior to informing you. Anything for a quick buck for these guys.Additionally I was not made aware of any charges as stated below by this mechanic. But now you know. Youre welcome. I declined the service because he stated that it would cost $1100 for a brake and rotor service. Once again I knew nothing about a $54.00 imspection fee

Ive had issues with my car n had it serviced by several different places and spent a lot of Unnecessary money on things that didnt need repaired. I called Lanning and explained my situation. I told them I just needed an alignment so I could get thru a couple wks til I got my tax check. They told me bring it they would do it. I did so...I got a call a couple hours later saying I had 2400 $ worth of work that needed done prior to getting an alignment. I explained I would come get it n bring it back when I got my tax check n have them fix it if I didnt buy a new car. I immediately left n when I got there the places was closed nobody there but they left my car unlocked (AND DIDNT LEAVE THE KEY IN IT.) So I had to wait til the next day to go get my car. After hours of looking for a ride there I get there n go in to ask for my key n the l a day tells me I have a bill. I was immediately shocked. I had a bill for 70 dollars. For telling me what was wrong with my car. Which I had already told him was messed up. He didnt tell me anything about a charge for telling me anything. He never said I had a bill a hen he told me to come get it. Im a single mother of 3 small children already in a huge bind. Onto of just being scammed out of 1200 trying to buy a car and already spending a 1000 on parts I didnt need like shocks struts wheelbearings rotars n new tires. Lanning didnt help me at all but simply made my situation a little worse

All the good reviews on here are fake or pushed by the staff to customer. Basically begging them for a good review to mask the real ones. Look at the bad reviews and take a look at their Yelp. This place is disgusting and filled with absolute scammers. Avoid at all cost! They will only cause more work to be done and lie right to your face.

I was doing my own auto repair - drum brakes - and needed someone to refinish my drums so that I could reuse them. I called many shops in Columbus and Lanning seems to be the only place that still offers this service. It was $15 per drum. I dropped them off on my way to work and they had them done in time for me to pick them up on my way back home. Friendly service, a good price for the work I needed.

I would highly recommend Lanning Automotive if you need a reliable mechanic. They are knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly so I would know what repairs need to be done. Great communication through the whole process. Customer service was very responsive to my needs. Chris is very professional and also followed up to confirm repairs were satisfactory. I will continue to use them for all my future work!

My daughter-in-laws battery registered weak when checked at auto zone. I called Lannings ...they said the battery was still under warranty. They got us in right away...changed the battery and no charge.

Had a starter replaced and oil change at Lanning Automotive. I left my vehicle at the night drop outside and dropped the keys in the slot. They called me the next day with info on what needed repaired and a price. The vehicle was done the next day. Pricing was what I expected and Kevin was awesome as always. Customer service A+ for sure. I will continue to use Lanning Automotive for my vehicles.

They were honestly just awesome. Got the problem figured out quickly, got the part, and got it repaired. They answered my questions and treated my concerns appropriately.Had a car issue that was 100% my fault but they werent accusatory when they stated what likely caused it. I confirmed it, and they also saw other issues that I know exist and didnt fudge anything.I will definitely use them again in the future.

They did a great job @ a great price on our old van and just did again with my sons Mustang. No attempts to upsell. Just diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote. Im sure it was MUCH less $$$ than a dealership would have charged me. Plus, I always prefer to support a local business over a chain.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Bring my car in for one thing to be fixed only to have multiple things broken. When you tell them about the issue the mechanics say I thought it was already like that, like really? Thats how you run your business. Very upset with the work done and only costed me more out of my pocket afterwards. Learn to own up to your mistakes and take responsibility when you cant do a job correctly!

Edit- came in for an oil change, they broke my oil filter cap housing and didnt let me know, this can mess with oil pressure. Found out months later when changing my own oil and had to replace it myself. Shady that they didnt let me know, would not recommend

Wow, where to start with this place. Unprofessional to say the least, scammers and if you have an issue the Boss will never get back to you and is always busy on lunch or picking up cars. Pathetic excuse for techs here. Please if you are in need of car repair, look for another place close by because this place is not it.

Very nice place. They have done anything from replacing a head on my 08 Dodge Ram to a carb replacement on my 86 Chevy. Have also bought tires for my a couple of my vehicles and have always been treated very well.

I cant tell you how happy I was with their service. I am from out of town and had a warning light go on as I was driving to my brothers house. I limped to his house and asked where to take my car. Mind you, this was on Friday at about 430 on Memorial Day weekend! Lannings took my vehicle that day and said they would work on it. I did tell them that I was supposed to be leaving on Sunday. They called me about 11 or so on Saturday and said it would be completed. I was very happy with the cost they quoted me as I expected it to be far more. I was in Indianapolis at the 500 parade, so I gave them my credit card and told them to leave the keys. I then got a call about 1230 and said it was the wrong part so they didnt know if they could finish it. About 330, I got another call, this time, I was told that the part came in later, and he had gone back to finish my car! How awesome is that. He was off work, and he still went back to finish my car for me! I would recommend them to anyone!

Spent $256.35 for a Interstate battery replacement including $80 installation fee, $30 inspection and $18 shop supplies. Dont know what shop supplies are needed for a battery installation. I think you can get the same work done in other shops at the half expense.My car wont start again this morning. The issue looks like the same as before. Contacting the shop....

Great service in a pinch on my vehicle electric system. Very reasonably priced and great communication in updating me on the progress.

My wife’s car was misfiring and I took it to Autozone who checked the diagnostic code that stated an oil sensor issue. Took the vehicle to Lanning who told my wife the engine was full of “sludge” and needed to be flushed out along with additonal repairs totaling more than $900. She had the work completed after having Lanning confirming they guaranteed the repairs would fix the problem. Then a week later the same engine misfiring occurs. Took it back to Lanning and this time they changed the oil sensor ($20 at autozone) and rather than sticking to their commitment changes is an addition $150. This was troubling as all that likely needed to be done was change the oil sensor. Will never know, but one would think they should have changed the oil sensor first. I would have likely given Lanning the benefit of the doubt if they had the decency to cover the oil sensor after already paying nearly $1000 for a guaranteed repair, but given they charged us for their miss it is clear their motive is squeezing whatever they can get out of the customer. Will not be going back to this shop
