Extremely happy with my car buying experience with Germain Suburu. A special shout out to Jamal at the dealership who was very courteous and professional. I had specific requirements for the suburu I wanted and Jamal was able to find one that was in transit and also provided financing options with the best rates.Thank you.
I pulled in and they immediately knew it was me! The waiting area was nice and Jessica took great care of me. She came in 3xs to notify what was going on and what they noticed on inspection. Great service and Great staff! If I could possibly be notified of my mechanics names next time I would love to show my gratitude by giving them a shout out as well.
The 2019 Impreza Limited that I had bought brand new from a different dealership had many flaws. The trunk sensor died on it, the brakes began to fail several times, and there was an intermittent rattle in the dashboard. I had to take the car in repeatedly for service to fix the issues. The service department did the bare minimum to resolve the issues each time until they became bigger problems. The final straw was the intermittent rattle in the dash. They basically refused to fix it because they could not replicate the issue and didnt want to open the dash. This is AFTER I pointed to exactly where the noise was coming from and asked them to fix it because it was driving me nuts. After their refusal, I took possession of my car from the service department and drove literally across the street to the Hyundai dealership and traded in my car for a 2022 Tucson Hybrid. Best decision I could have made, the new vehicle is so much better than the Impreza. I will not do business with this Subaru dealership again and it will be a long time before I entertain the idea of buying a Subaru again.
Every time I am here for services to my Subaru Ascent, everyone is always great! Friendly and fast service, thank you all!
I absolutely love the attention to detail and excellent customer service I get from Germain Subaru when taking my vehicle in for service. Emma is fantastic and always makes sure I know every detail involving the service and care of my vehicle. I always have a good experience, which I cant say about other dealers. Love my Subaru and love Germain Subaru!
We had a great experience at this dealership buying my husbands car. We worked with Larry and we were both very happy with him. We will definitely be back the next time we are buying a car! Thank you Germain Subaru!!
This is by far the Best Subaru dealership in Ohio, hands down. I have had multiple issues with my care and they have done everything in theyre power to take care of me time after time.My car got broken into on theyre lot days after i got my tint done on my car. Without hesitation Chris, the service manager. Took care of the window no charge and reimbursed me for the tint. Legally they didnt have to do any of that but they did. Emma in service takes care of me every single time and goes above and beyond. She makes sure I leave happy every time i come in.20/10 go to this dealership for everything. They cut me a good deal on both my Subars as well
For someone who has not purchased a new car in a long time, my experience with Germain Subaru was friendly, timely and efficient. These guys move you through the process without feeling pressured, answer all questions, and make you feel comfortable. The financing department clearly walked me through various options to fit my budget and needs and Leo was extremely helpful and professional. If you purchase a Subaru here, you know you are getting a special automobile and world-class service.
Scheduled a simple oil change, showed up on time and was told it would take an hour. After 1.5hrs, i asked about my car and was told its being washed right now, itll be right out. I was told this several times over the next hour. At this point, it was 2.5hrs of waiting, so I told them to just bring my car up as i needed to go. 15 minutes later i was waiting to speak to a manager and my car finally comes up, so I just grab the keys and take off. I even had to ask to be given my check out report. All in all, it took 2 hours 45 minutes!! Absolutely ridiculous. When I went to look through the service window, i see mechanics walking around eating bags of chips, joking around. I will never return to this location, that was pathetic. ALSO, i asked to have a manager contact me TWICE, once at the dealership when i left and once when they called to ask how my appointment went, and i still have not heard from them.
We were skeptical that the service and level of courtesy would be the same as it was when this dealership was owned by Hatfield. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The facility was clean with free snacks and water. We were updated on the progress of the repairs. When it took longer than expected, they comped the service! No fee!! Definitely my favorite dealership.
In spite of a long and complex issue with our Outback, these guys acted with great professionalism coupled with customer-focused service: honest, friendly, open...just a pleasure to deal with. Jessica at the service desk, our mechanic, the service manager - they all went over and above to solve our issue and get us back on the road for a very reasonable amount.
The people here are lovely, and the service to match! The woman I spoke to on the phone was a gem! The employees who I worked with when I dropped my car off and picked up were so kind! Very impressed with the entire experience ◡̈
Excellent experience all togetherWonderful polite staff and super helpful parts department.I had a question about a part and tech came up answered my question and helped me avoid part heart brake.
Fastest easiest ever to buy a car! good folks
Tim Evans was extremely thorough and polite through our first Subaru purchase. Really took the time to talk us through all the features without being pushy. I usually loathe dealerships, but this was a fresh and new experience for me. Financing was highly competitive and with other dealerships in the area and receptive to my needs. Would definitely recommend Tim and the team, and will be back in a few years when we have another vehicle need.
I took delivery on a custom ordered vehicle recently and felt that the experience working with sales & finance was great... Until you go to the store.I dont care that you all wash your hands and wipe down everything constantly. All I want is for all the employees to wear their masks, not be anti-vaxxers, and respect my time. If my saleswoman had mentioned two months ago that she is refusing the covid vaccine, I wouldnt have ordered my car from her. She insisted on explaining Starlink for 45 minutes to me, after I said I already researched and didnt want the upgraded service. At least the store was mostly empty, which made me feel safer. But why did it take three hours to be able to write a check and go, when my insurance, financing, etc. were all approved already? Time is risk, so how come when I requested ahead of time there was no effort made to get me in & out quickly? The hot chocolate is excellent.EDIT: I see a response now from the GM of the dealership stating he attempted to get in contact with me some time ago. The only contact I have received from the dealership since purchasing the vehicle has been cold calls asking when I will be bringing the car in for service. While I did receive an automated email asking me to rate my experience after my visit, I have received no communications from Bennie (the aforementioned manager) regarding my experience. While Im sure the management at the dealership takes COVID-19 seriously, and I dont blame them for their employees bad decisions, I still am not planning on returning.
I had the best experience buying my Subaru Outback today! Eric Valentine took amazing care of us and was very knowledgeable about the product. The entire management staff was also wonderful. I can’t recommend them enough!
Stopped in for an oil change. They did a tire rotation and a multipoint inspection. Very reasonable wait time. Friendly staff.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. They did everything to make my family feel welcome
Very friendly and accommodating. Great experience.
02/14 Went there to test drive crosstrek. Sales guy is very nice and helpful.. but then the sales manager came out and basically said he is not interested to know our proposal from another dealer (in Chicago) and if we want a better deal, we need to get out of there and buy it from somewhere else, which we are going to. Worse experience ever!02/15 update from last review : The Subaru dealer in Chicago offered a much better deal (same package and $3k cheaper) and they can ship the vehicle door to door with no additional cost. Please study your competitors before driving your customers away
Salesperson had a very big attitude in online communications. Not impressed. Will take my business somewhere else.
Very upset with this place. terrible costumer service. my service advisor was kody and he was chatting with co workers instead of helping me. i’m never coming back
I recently had service done in my vehicle and everybody went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and in the know about updates. Chris, the service manager even drove a loaner car out to my job so they could get working on my car quicker. Thank you all!
So we bought a 2018 Impreza a couple of months ago and they failed to tell us that there was only one key to the car until we bought the car. Ill never assume that a car that young would have both keys. Brody our salesman said he would reach out to the previous owner about it, never heard back. Called them a week ago and the receptionist said he wasnt in and she would leave a message on his desk for him about the key. Never heard back. If you want repeat customers you should probably make them happy, not avoid doing your job.
Love the service department! They have a great manager. Theyve really gone the extra mile for me. Corporate Subaru is whole other story!
A good variety of nice, clean cars. The salesman was laid back & informative.
Good group of folks, were friendly and quick to help with an appraisal.
Got an oil change over the weekend thanks to the receptionist who went above & beyond to make a walk in happen on a Saturday! Everyone (especially the technician...I forgot his name) was nice and very helpful. Completed the service quickly and efficiently though I was comfy doing work in their waiting area. Will definitely go back every 6,000 miles! Thanks for making me feel special!
I had been over at Toyota West getting my truck serviced. Ive been wanting a 2nd vehicle and interested in the Legacy as I need a sedan for trips up to Columbus, I want something more fuel efficient and easier to get in and out of for my older family member when we go places together. I looked the Subaru lot over, They have a pretty good selection of Legacys but I couldnt any staff or salespeople to unlock one for me or answer any questions. I walked inside and spoke to a kid at the counter about the drivers seat leg rest/extender but he didnt really know what I was talking about, then I went outside to speak with two salesmen neither moved from their smoking perches to help, I think both were waiting for test drives to return and werent intersted. The salesman in the tie was a completely snarky, rude and patronizing chosing to lecture me on why the cars were locked rather than unlocking one or getting me a salesperson who would, I will not be buying a car from this dealership. I am still interested in a Subaru Legacy but I didnt feel the love from Germain Subaru.
They service department is always wonderful.
I dealt with Phil and Clayton. They were outstanding. Best car buying experience of my life. They gave me a very good price on my trade in. There was no negotiation necessary on either end. Fair price on the car I bought and a fair price on my trade. Highly recommend this dealership.
The staff is super friendly and the service top notch!
I would definitely recommend Germain Subaru of Columbus. Kelly B. was friendly and professional.
Fantastic! Many thanks to all, especially to Lisa. Will certainly tell others about this place!
We had a great experience at Germain Subaru. Our salesperson Clay was very helpful and patient as we had lots of questions and were comparing several models. We decided on a Crosstrek Limited and couldn’t be happier...got a great price on our trade and Ralph in financing processed everything smoothly and was great to work with as well. A+. Thanks!
Yesterday, I visited Germain Subaru for looking 2015 Toyota Camry XLE, and I met AARON WOODBURN one of Subaru product specialist! I got drive test and I liked 2015 Toyota Camry XLE! I talked with AARON and decided final price $13,700. I told him yesterday, I’ll be there today at 2:00 PM to buy this car. AARON called two time at morning and sent me voicemail to indicate appointment for buy car. I visited there and met AARON, he said wait 15 minutes, I move the car at front! I almost waited 20 minutes and he came and told sorry he sold car to someone! I was shock what is going on here! This is the horrible customer service! The question is, if you sold the car, then why did call me and send me voicemails for appointment to buy car! The question if you sold the car then you must call to me and cancel my appointment why do guy waste of my time!By the way, one thing I realize, Never trust these people. I never imagine Subaru has low level of customer service!
Cody (I think this is his name, he’s a younger gentleman) is great and always takes wonderful care of me and my car! Communication is prompt and clear, issues are fully addressed and resolved by the team, and customer service is always a priority as he is always greeting people with a smile and checking in on how they’re doing. The waiting area is nice and has drinks and snacks and my car is always returned to me clean and ready to go. For a ball bearing repair a few months back they gave me a loaner and kindly offered to help me transfer all of my belongings which was quite a bit since I work out of my car. I forgot something after returning the rental and they gave me a call right away and held onto it until I could pick it up a week or so later. As soon as a walked through the door, a young woman who I’ve also worked with before, recognized me and brought the item straight over. Love this friendly team!
The people here are honest and trustworthy. Its unlike any other car dealer experience you may have had. Theyve not only made it easy for my partner purchasing a new vehicle to suit family needs, but they also performed an outstanding service on my 2012 Subaru Impreza that had an open recall. Its running more responsive and better than ever! They also provided a Loaner vehicle which was not only convenient, but allowed me to see newer features on new Subaru model lines that gave me insight as to what to look forward to in the near future on my next upgrade! A huge thanks to the Service team for your hard work! As well as a thank you to the sales team for making our rides more safe, fun, and enjoyable! Subaru for life!
Beware of the service department. My wife took our 2017 Outback with 57,214 miles in today for some diagnostic testing. Everything went fine and the vehicle was ok.She was then told that the brakes are in critical need of replacement, the pcv valve was bad (ok) and the battery needed replaced. The battery was replaced 14 months ago. I purchased a battery from Advanced is still under warranty. My wife told them ok then called me. I informed her that the battery was newer and under warranty, and that I would take care of the brakes. I also informed her the pcv valve is $34. Subaru dealer price and is a 5 minute job. They can change the pcv valve if it is under $75.My wife told the service receptionist that I would do the brakes and that the battery was under warranty and that we would take care of it. She also asked about the cost of the pcv valve. They wanted $150 to replace it, do she asked them not to. They had already started on the battery and said that they couldnt remove the battery now that they started and that she could have her battery back with a core charge. They were firm with her about trying to make he buy their battery. They told her that they cant take it out once it is in the car. She them asked them to stop and that her husband was on his way (me). At that mention Germain changed their mind and reinstalled my Advanced battery. To sum it up I just took her outback to have the battery tested. The battery was fine and well within spec. The brakes are worn a bit, bun there is still over 5/16 pad on the most worn pad and all the rotors are unscarred. The brakes are not in Critical need of replacement as the service tech stated. In my opinion, Germain attempted to frightening her into a several hundred dollar, unneeded brake job. Plus only going by their records thinking the battery was 4 years old instead of 14 months old.BEWARE AND GET A SECOND OPTION before you trust them. Germain must need to bump their service profits up. We were lucky because they thought they were going to have to deal with a knowledgeable husband. BEWARE is all I can say.
This review is a little late but needed to happen. Google should have reset the reviews for this service center when Germain took over. I always took my Subaru to Hatfield but I will NEVER go back to Germain. Shortly after the Germain transition, it was made very apparent that items requiring immediate attention were influenced neither by my Hatfield service history records nor any form of an honest inspection. When I questioned the assertion that items I recently had replaced were already in that bad of shape, the tech stumbled around for a while, apologized for her initial difficulties accessing Hatfields records in the new system, and then magically updated my estimate from thousands of dollars to a couple of hundred - basically she apologized for their inability to have a more informed lie to spin me. Honestly, I cant be sure Hatfield never screwed me, but if they did, they were at least slick about it. I would have continued to be a regular customer and probably bought my next car there, but its clear what their priorities are. Instead, Ill be sharing my experience every chance I get and spending my money elsewhere.
Just bought our Forester a week ago and it was a pleasant experience dealing with them. I first called in the morning to ask if that particular car is still available and spoke to Benjamin one of the sales person. He checked and call me back and so in couple of hours we came there and the manager Clayton who my husband spoke with regarding the car was there too. They are very professional in dealing with and so far loving my new Subaru Forester. Kudus to this great peeps!
Everyone at this dealership is amazing! Great experience! Would highly recommend!!❤
OMG everyone at this dealer ship is amazing!!! They bent over backwards to help me. They ensure that my car was fixed and made sure that I was satisfied before I left. Thank you to the service department yall are the best and I will never go anywhere else to get my car taken care of!!!
Bennie and Larry helped me with my purchase of my brand new Ascent, and if I could repeat the process, I would definitely use them again! They both made themselves very accessible and were very friendly (non-pushy) to work with. They both listened to my needs, made suggestions where necessary and I felt comfortable through the whole process. My understanding is that Bennie the GM came from a luxury brand and I felt like he is bringing over the same mentality of customer service that you get with paying $$$$. Buying a car is a big investment that I put a lot of time into so working with people you click with is essential.
AWESOME staff and Bennie the GM really helped me chose a WRX Ive been looking for. They had my old Jeep appraised, my financing approved over my lunch break, then had it ready for me when I got off work! EASIEST car Ive EVER bought!!!
Great experience and service. I called ahead to tell them I wanted to see 2 vehicles but it would be right before closing since I worked 30min from their lot. When I got there Salesman Larry Serfozo had the 2 vehicles waiting on me inside so I didnt have to be in the cold. He was very helpful. He didnt push or pressure me into getting a car. I told him what I wanted and he said they didnt have the color I wanted but can get it in a few days. Amazingly he had the exact car I wanted ready the next day. He let me test drive it on my own which gave me time to get a good feel of the car without a salesman talking my ear off which I experienced with other dealers. After finalizing the numbers I met with the finance manager who was just as helpful. He gave me details of the maintenance warranty and options for other warranties that would be beneficial to me. He didnt try to push anything on me. He wanted to make sure I was educated on everything. When I was ready to drive off, Salesman Larry had given me a toy Subaru SUV, same color as what I bought, to take home to my child who I mentioned would love that toy when I saw it in the waiting room. He was very thoughtful for that.
I just purchased a used car from this dealership and it was a very good experience. From the sales rep to the finance manager, it was a smooth and professional operation. I felt like they were honest and straight shooters and got me into a vehicle at a fair price. I didnt feel badgered by the finance manager to purchase extra coverage I wasnt interested in. He was very thorough and let me make decisions without feeling pressured. It was one of the best car buying experiences I have had.
Great experience purchasing a Certified Pre-owned today. Patrick was awesome! Even managed to transfer some od my favorite rear-window stickers! Frank was also great to work with. Drove home with 2016 Subaru Outback!
Went to look and test drive a few models. Received awesome service from Brody.
I was interested in a used car at Subaru of Columbus. I came just to look, and instead had a excellent experience buying the car. Leo was the lead sales associate who handled my purchase, and Sales Manager Bennie Fornash had an excellent discussion with me about the vehicle. We negotiated an excellent price for both my trade and the car I was purchasing, and all the rest of the staff (finance, prep, and the entire team) were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend you take your next Subaru purchase there. And, if you find a used car you are interested in purchasing - go talk to the sales staff and negotiate your own deal.
I would give zero stars if that was an option. The service department is incredibly RUDE. What happened to respecting your customers & good customer service ? I have taken my car on MULTIPLE occasions over the last 2 years for problems with my ac and leaks and they never fix it the first time I have to continually take my car back multiple because the problem was never taken care. They will never accept the fact it was their fault & take care of you the way they should.
Good people
Theres so many reasons that make Germain Subaru such an incredible place. I will start off by saying that every employee that you come across has a smile on their face as if they are really enjoying their jobs and everyone there is as kind as the next. They are so welcoming and so informative and not only does Subaru give back in so many ways to special charities, but the one they choose locally is a great rescue with a great reputation for helping the special animals in need. I will always bring my business to Germain but will continue to tell everyone I know how highly I think of this dealership.
No one like taking a car in for service, but they made it better, needed to get my car service and they had great availability, they took care of me and my car really quickly. Wrapped my seat, steering wheel and shift knob to keep the inside clean, and also gave my car a Wash! much appreciated! I worked with Kody and he was very helpful, kind and polite!
I cannot say enough about this place. They are amazing!! They worked with me to get the best deal on my new Forester. And when I realized it didn’t have something I wanted they got me the one I did. Leo helped me every step of the way with figuring out what I wanted. Clayton, the new car manager genuinely cares about his customers. And Frank, The finance guru explained everything so well and took the time to redo allllll the paperwork at the last minute. If you want a new Subaru or a used car come to them. This has been the best service I’ve ever received.
Awesome service
Great Manager, his name is Bennie! Great staff and brand new ownership with Germain Outstanding Levels of Customer Satisfaction and Prior, During and Most Definitely after your Sales and or Leasing Experience. Tell them Kevin Douglas Berg sent you #kevindouglasberglovetocarblog
Just bought my Subaru Outback. My salesman Patrick was awesome. So was the Finance Manager. I traded a car in and bought the other car. They were even able to drive back to my house for my husband who was sick at the time to sign the papers. We love this Outback. It was purchased for my daughter Layla and she will get many years with this vehicle. GREAT PLACE.......... Thank you again Tracey
I recently purchased a CPO 2016 Subaru BRZ Limited from you guys. My Salesman Brody Roe was great to work with. From when I scheduled a late Sunday afternoon test drive to when I bought the car on Tuesday afternoon. He was responsive and helpful with everything I needed. Also I wish I remembered the name of the person from finance I worked with because he did a spectacular job as well. They took a lot of time out to make sure everything came out great. I’ve already recommended this dealership to everyone I know, and it’s because of them.
Ive been car shopping for a month. Larry really worked with me to try to find something that worked. I appreciated his patience so much! (My husband refers to him at Saint Larry now). Rob, in finance was also awesome. Go to this dealership for your car needs.
I recently purchased a 2020 Subaru Forrester from Hatfield. I couldnt have asked for better treatment while purchasing a new car and basically being educated into the numerous features that were new to me. They were patient, polite, and respectful, in bringing me up to speed. I feel strongly that I got a wonderful deal on my purchase, and I am confident that I will be treated fairly by the service department in the future, as I keep my cars for a long time and will be comfortable depending on their honesty and integrity in the future. I couldnt have been treated more fairly and I feel wonderful about my purchase.
From the minute I walked into Hatfield Subaru, it was a bad experience. For starters, 3 salesman were standing around and saw me walk in and said nothing to me. No hello, how can I help you? Or even just a hello. I had to walk to the front counter and talk to the man sitting down behind it. I had seen a Forester online advertised as Certified and I wanted to see it in person. He showed me the Forester and answered some of my questions. I asked to drive the car and he gave me the run around that it wasnt detailed and the mechanics hadnt gone over yet, but it would be certified. How can you certify a car if mechanics hadnt gone over it yet? Why would you advertise a car as certified on your website if the job isnt done yet? I get the high volume of cars and letting customers know what is available, but you should not advertise cars that are not ready for customers to see. You should especially not say something is certified if it hasnt been gone over by a mechanic yet. All I wanted to do was drive the car, have an honest salesman/dealership, and buy a car. I felt like the salesman were annoyed that I was even there and werent that interested in making a sale today. He didnt even attempt to let me drive the car! How does a customer know if they want a car without driving it? Sure, certification and detailing take time, but thats no excuse for putting a customer off and not grabbing the keys! Its a shame, Ive been in sales for a long time and the experience I had today was completely unacceptable. Hatfield has lost my business and I will be shopping elsewhere.
We ended up buying the car because they had what we wanted but getting to that point had its struggles. First impressions werent good at all. We scheduled a test drive with the specific car that we ended up buying and it barely looked like a new car. Dirt all over the interior and exterior definitely didnt have that shiny new car look. We were dealing with them online trying to work a deal and it was like they just stopped wanting to deal with us and didnt reply anymore. We basically had to show up at the dealership and say take our money.
UPDATE: I had a great experience working with Bennie who worked very hard with me and his team to figure out what happened and to resolve the issue. I would go back knowing that the GM wants to provide the best experience for their customers. ORIGINAL POST: Very bad experience with dishonest service. I took my Outback to get serviced and was informed that I needed my rear brake pads replaced for $494. I informed them that they were replaced at Germain 20k miles ago and the response was, Oh I didnt look at the history but I will check with the tech. After checking with the tech he said that my brake pads were at 4mm even though the inspection sheet indicated that they were above 5mm and that they only recommend replacement at 3mm. My question is why would they tell me I needed to replace when I was above their 3mm threshold? I talked with the manager and he told me that this is a known issue (up-selling) that he is trying to address. Its horrible that a business that people NEED to trust are out scamming people at a time when so many people are out of the job. If you must go here, be vigilent and ask questions.
Took our Outback in for recall updates. I arrived late due to traffic, and the staff couldnt have been more courteous and understanding. They were incredibly friendly and professional, taking the time to explain the work to be done and giving me room to ask questions if I had any. Very nice waiting room, and they even washed the car! Great experience!
Big disappointment. Called to set up oil change. Was told price for Synthetic Oil good for 7500 miles (while she was yawning). Service Advisor tried up sell for for over $900 (his job). I declined but agreed to have the brake fluid changed. To Advisors credit, he did advise there were two recalls that would be done as well. Work done, bill presented but was told the brake fluid had not been changed because they were out of the fluid (remember I am at a Subaru Dealership). However, I was billed for the fluid. Attitude from Advisor was oh well, sorry bout that. He would get the bill corrected. A customer oriented Dealer would have offered some kind of discount to reschedule the work but not here. I paid the bill and left. In reviewing the bill saw the brake fluid had not been removed and I was charged for it. Back to the Dealer I go. I spoke with the same Advisor explaining issue with the charge and that the oil change window sticker did not read 7500 miles but at 6000 miles. He disappeared with the bill to return and took me to the billing area to have the brake fluid charge credited back. On the issue with 7500 miles he said he spoke to the Service Manager and was told the recommended oil change was 6000 miles not 7500. I asked for something in writing and was told there was nothing in writing to give. (No accountability or credibility in my opinion at this time.). Advisor attitude again, sorry bout that. I responded I doubted that but not to worry, I would never be back. On a side note, I got the brake fluid changed at Tire Discounters across the street for $20 less.
Hatfield did a great job when I brought in my Impreza for brake issues. Gave me a loaner car when it was determined the repair would take longer than a couple hours. They were very thorough and addressed all my concerns. Todd was great and had no problem looking into the areas I was concerned with. It was as easy and pleasant as servicing a car can be.
Very helpful and professional. They were knowledgeable about the vehicles and will provide support for learning the technology.
Jessica is like a super hero . She takes my problems and makes them go away.
I had an excellent experience at Germain Subaru of Columbus! Dave, my salesperson was extremely knowledgable and helpful. He was also personable and easy to work with, which is why I ended up purchasing at this dealership, not the other one I had previously visited. In addition to Dave, Niki was happy to help me with a couple of tech questions. She even helped to locate the garage door opener I accidentally left in my trade in. All of the other employees I came into contact with (on the phone, via text and via email) were helpful and and considerate. I love my new Crosstrek, and appreciate the treatment I received at this dealership.
I was very disappointed in the service we received during the service drop off our Outback. First, it took about 3 weeks to schedule the appointment to have the oil change, puddle light, backup camera and airbag replacement done under the extended warranty we purchased. We dropped the vehicle off on time the scheduled date. We were informed in all the service would take around 4 hours to complete we were anticipating just waiting on the vehicle but were offered a vehicle loaner for the day so we took it thinking our vehicle would be done that day. We were very wrong. It took 3 days for the service to be completed and the puddle lights that were replaced previously using the extended warranty this time we had to pay for to get them fixed. We were also disappointed in the communication we received for the service department. Our calls were not responded to and we had to make several follow up calls just to get an idea of when our outback would be completed. When I did get through the best response I received was that they were busy and everyone is waiting. We made an appointment 3 weeks in advance and was booked by Hatfield; if they do not have enough resources something needs to change, if they need to push back the appointment that would have been fine but none of this was communicated. I have been an advocate of Hatfield Subaru ever since we purchased our vehicle there but the last two dealing with the service department has made me question them going forward. We love our Subaru but are not in love with Hatfield Subaru service department.
I recently purchased a certified pre owned cross trek. I must say I have always dreaded purchasing a car. However this was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Patrick and his manager helped me find the vehicle I wanted and I was pleasantly surprised their finance dept secured my car loan with lower interest than my pre approved loan!!! I would definitely say this was my best experience buying a car no complaints
I have had a great experience each of the 2 times I have been to this dealership. They are very patient explaining things and walking me through things. Dave Romero & Frank, (sorry, don’t remember his last name just now) the finance guy are who I have dealt with so far and I’m more than pleased.I love the car! I love the color and all the amenities. The pick up & go is really helpful in traffic. I’m still learning about all the things available and how to configure and use them. I’m very glad I went to Hatfield Subaru and I’m very glad I bought a Subaru Forester. However, there is one small thing I would like slightly different: because the console is so short it’s unable to be used as an armrest. To compensate for that, it would be nice to have captains chairs/seats with arms that move up out of the way or move down for an armrest. The only other thing would be park assist. Just a thought maybe for the future.Sincerely & respectfully,Patricia M. (Pat) Bishop
As someone who used to work in the rental industry and had to work with a lot of dealerships, Hatfield is as good as they come. I love that their buying process is haggle-free and very low pressure. Buying my car here was painless and all the staff I came into contact with were awesome.I have to knock off a star for the service garage though. While the front-end staff is top-notch (I love Royce, hes an incredible manager and went above and beyond to help me out!) I ran into some issues taking my car in for a recall. The recall was for a brake lamp switch, my car didnt have any symptoms of a broken switch, but I got the recall done regardless. A day after I got my car back the brake pedal was stuck in a nearly constant on position so my brake lights and brakes were engaged even when my foot wasnt on the pedal. I took it back to Hatfield and they fixed it. Several days later I had the SAME problem again. Back to the dealership I went and it was fixed. Its been fine the last few days, hopefully they got it right this time! Kind of annoying to have to go back to the garage TWICE to fix an issue they caused...Other than that I would highly recommend Hatfield for buying your car. The customer service is great and even though I had a bad experience with the service garage Id still recommend it over Byers Subaru for service that requires a dealer to perform.
Had to purchase a vehicle ASAP as my old vehicle died. I saw a car online and made arrangements to go look at it in person the next day. After a quick test drive I decided to move forward with the purchase. The salesman and finance manager were great and the process was easy and smooth. Everyone at the dealership was personable and I was happy to give them business!
Well, can tell this isnt Hatfield anymore. Service was done correctly I guess, but the insane labor costs has ruined any further business I would have with them. Hatfield never charged me like this. Wish I knew they changed their business practices prior to the service. I was told one amount when dropping the car off then paid a different amount at pick up, thought it was taxes but after looking at the bill they price gouged me. Id avoid it if you can help it.
My 2010 Outback started stalling on me when I was coming to a stop. I finally got it taken in to Hatfield and they determined that it was the torque converter. They replaced it and my car seemed to be fine again. Just a few weeks later the car started making a chirping noise every few minutes when I was driving over 45 mph. I took it in again, they did a transmission flush and it seemed to be fine. But over the course of the next couple of days, the chirping noise came back. I finally got it back in to Hatfield a week later and they determined that I needed a brand new transmission. They even had a factory rep come out to authorize the replacement of the transmission. Now my car is as good as new! Each time I had my car in their shop, they made sure that I had a loaner vehicle and was able to get my kids car seats transferred. They were very accommodating and took great care of me and my car. Thanks Hatfield!!
Valentine, my salesman, was awesome...I love my 2021 Subaru Forester
David Steele and the finance team were awesome! Loving my new Impreza. Great experience, and a no-pressure sales environment. I didnt go in expecting to buy a car, just to help my aunt, but I ended up being convinced without being badgered.
I use to have a 5 star review of Hatfields even with past problems that were taken care of. but now they void any warranty for any modifications at all to the vehicle and just claim it Subarus policy. My first trip here the put the wrong oil in my car, second trip while replacing my seat they did over $1k in damage that had to be sent to the body shop for a week. The tech Dropped the power leather seat and wedged it in the door opening. They originally offer me touch up paint for the dents. Now they void the warranty on the car due to a through out bearing failure they claim on a air oil separator on the intake to help stop the carbon buildup up Subaru has on the direct injection motors and a stage 1 tune that fixed the over boost issue and makes the gas peddle more linear compared to the factory.Ive owed 30+ vehicles and the last 3 were all Subarus with my wife and I driving them but looks like these will be my lastNow I found out my valve cover repeat oil leak on my 15 WRX is due to Hatfields using silicone to fix it last time not the factory rubber gasket that should have been used under a warranty trip.
Purchasing a car can be painful with sales people on you like buzzards, but this dealership is laid back and they let you look at the inventory at your on pace. My wife and I chose a vehicle and Leo and Frank were awesome getting the sale complete. If you are looking for a vehicle go to Hatfield Subaru and see this outstanding staff.
I was very pleased with the overall experience. I came in on a Sunday in the late afternoon (I work nights) and didnt actually expect to go home with a car that day, but everyone gave me their complete attention & stayed late to make it happen. Tim worked with me to find a car that both fit my very strict budget and had the options I wanted most. Overall it was probably the easiest car-buying experience Ive ever had.
Fantastic experience. I found a car that I had been researching for a few months that they had received in as a lease return. I called and set up a test drive appointment. Drove 3 1/2 hours to dealership to meet Sales Associate Tim Evans and check out the car. We drove the vehicle and he answered the many questions I had. And if he could not answer, went asking around for me. Sales Manager Chuck Orr was very helpful about some mechanical questions (as well as going on a hunt for the second set of key fobs). Finance Manager Robert Wallace was very helpful in working out our payment options, as well as working with us on getting a better price for the extended warranty. The whole staff that directly met/ worked with us that afternoon evening stayed until we loaded up and headed out. That was at 9:00pm, even thought the dealership closing hours were 8:00 pm. Very thoughtful and courteous. Excellent people. I will be doing business with them from now on, even though 200 miles away and located in a different state. Highly recommend Hatfield Subaru/ Sonic Auto.
Hatfield Subaru all but rolled out the red carpet for me. It was my first new car buying experience and they made me feel very comfortable. They were still sales people, trying to get me to buy extra packages and whatnot (which is their job and how they make money), but werent pushy about it.I had my first scheduled service and everything went smoothly. Car came back clean and with no issues.
The people in the service department here are wonderful. They always take the time to explain everything to you and make sure your service is complete in time. I could not be happier with the attention and service I receive here. The waiting room is comfortable if you have to spend an hour or two waiting for your car to be done.
This car buying experience was one of the best I have ever had!I came into the dealership expecting to buy a specific vehicle, but the staff was so helpful, I ended up not buying the vehicle I wanted, but rather the vehicle I needed. The truly amazing part was the vehicle I ended up buying was less expensive then what I came in thinking I needed.Super impressed.I cant say enough great things about this experience, and if you check my past reviews, youll see where I dont recommend.
Chris. the Service Manager went above and beyond to help me with my car. The stay at home order caused my battery to die. He came to my house and replaced the battery because I did not feel comfortable going to the dealership and waiting because of the covid-19 virus.
Had a great experience at Hatfield Subaru - Frank and Mike worked hard to meet my needs on a slightly difficult lease and they helped make the process a little smoother. I would definitely recommend them. Very happy with my new Forester and I will be back!
First time visiting this Subaru location. They were very polite & inviting. The only reason I gave 4/5 (instead of 5/5) is because it took a decent amount of time to complete the maintenance. However I did not have an appointment a there was trail mix & a large TV in the waiting room! I love the Subaru family!!
I brought my car in for recall service and a 36,000 mile check-up. Todd was very professional and very helpful. He was up-front with the costs and time commitments of the service and provided me with a car to use while the service was performed. The work was complete sooner than expected, which was great. Overall a good experience.
Best Experience Buying A Car Ever! I worked with Lori & she was great. She showed me the cars I was interested in, gave me information & a fair Price. The Manager & Rob Wallace in Finance was amazing as well. Seriously I am new to Subaru and am already a lifer! Thank you all so much Hatfield Subaru!
Had a problem with a slow leak in the Forester right front tire and was leaving for a road trip the next day. There was only 29,000 miles on the tires. I asked for the tire to be fixed and the other 3 checked. I was appreciative that we were worked into the schedule. Service informed me that the leak was in the side wall of the tire and that I would have to have a new tire which wasnt covered in my extended warranty. A new tire was put on the car. Five days later on vacation, we had another tire slow leak on the right rear tire. The car was taken to another Subaru dealer in Wisconsin. That tire had a screw in it. The screw was removed and it was patched at no charge due to my warranty. While we were there the Service Technician answered some questions for us. We realize that the tires that came with the car originally did not meet our expectation and the cost of that tire is more than it should be. I which the technician at Hatfield would have talked to us about the tire options and let us decide which brand tire we might want to purchase.
After years of terrible service at the other Subaru across town I had lost all hope with this brand. I arrived to smiling, helpful enjoyees. My guy, Cody, did everything and more to assist us. They repaired a glaringly obvious issue the other dealership had missed multiple times .Well worth the extra 20 minute drive! Wont go anywhere else
Ive been to dealers with salesmen that cling and manipulate and arent straight with me. That is not this dealership. Nelson was very knowledgeable and respectful in understanding my position and what I was looking for. I wanted the nicer trim vehicle at the lower trim price. The manager, Freddy took all of 2 minutes to negotiate a price that was very reasonable. No writing a number on a piece of paper and pushing it back and forth across the table with funny looks, or worse, taking that piece of paper back into an office, and coming back 20 minutes later with a counter offer. Charlie in finance was also very cool. No hard sell at all. I would happily send my Mom there. I walked in the doors at about 7p on a Friday with intentions of getting details on a couple vehicles, and pricing. Nelson spent about an hour with me showing me different models and explaining features. About an hour later, I was driving away in my new car. They kept my other car there on the lot until I could come back a couple days later to pick it up.I expect the service dept. will be equally as helpful.
I am very pleased with my experience at Hatfield Subaru. This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership, everyone was very nice and easy to work with and went out of their way to help me. When it is time for my next vehicle purchase I will definitely be keeping you guys in mind. Thank you!
We were on a cross country drive from Connecticut to Arizona when our 2002 Outbackstarted to make noise coming from the front wheel axle. We called Hatfield and Tod and Trevor diagnosed the problem and changed our CV joint the same day and got us back on the road in a couple of hours. Both Tod and Trevor were so helpful and understanding of our unique situation. Thank you!
The service area was very clean. The waiting area was great too. The folks working there were friendly and explained everything well. They did a free car wash without asking which I thought was great. But they didn’t dry it and I came home with spots everywhere on my car😕 Overall, it was a very good experience!
The vehicle was fixed in the fastest time possible. It was a good experience! Only thing I wish could have been better is the communication between the service advisor and me. He was very kind and knowledgeable, but I wished he wouldve kept me a little more informed throughout the process. Overall good experience.
