I work as a customer service representative and know what it means to provide good care and professionalism with everyone I work with. I experienced the worst customer service I have ever received in this service department. I would recommend going to another Kia dealership for service if your car is under warranty. Do not let them waste your time here.

Outstanding customer service!!! I have been looking for a Kia Telluride for over 3 months and contacted multiple dealerships, who quoted me over MSRP. However, when working with Justin Bailey and Will they were transparent, easy to communicate with and extremely flexible as I had traveled back to Ohio to pick up my Nightfall Telluride! I cant say enough about Germain Kia of Columbus! I found myself stranded in a parking garage at the James Cancer Center with my Mom two hours from home. My Mom had just had a tough appointment when we returned to my Kia van to discover that my key battery was to low to start my van. I called Germain Kia and ask for guidance. The parts manager Todd Clifton immediately sent out one of his top rate employees Mook who drove to where we were in the parking garage. Mook got the van started! I cant believe how these two guys went out of their way to help us!

5 star all the way. Vehicles in Virginia are very overpriced. Did an entire deal for a Kia Carnival over the phone with Mike and sent deposit. Vehicle had to be ordered (nothing on the lot) and the arrival date keep getting closer instead of farther away (was not expecting that).The time came and I flew out, not knowing what to expect. Mike actually picked me up at the airport, in my new vehicle when I arrived! Getting back to the dealership, everything went smoothly and pricing was exactly as discussed over the phone. No pressure or upselling.Cant believe I had to fly to Ohio to get a good deal and find a dealership that treated me fairly. This is my second Kia and if I am in the market for another, I would rather fly out of state and deal with Germain Kia than purchase locally.

They were able to get my car in for service quicker than anyone else so that I’m grateful for. My car was serviced Saturday afternoon and the check engine light was back on about 2-3 hours later. I spoke with someone at the dealership who said that he would let the service department know. I also called about 9:30 today (Monday) so that I could speak with someone myself. The second option on the phone tree to not schedule a service appointment had no voicemail so I called back and spoke with Brittany who informed me I had to know who my advisor was before she could help me. I was told that having that information would help them get me to my advisor and they could get me in for service quicker. I’m sorry but you should be able to search me by name to find this information out. I am at work and do not have the information close by.

I’m not a big fan of leaving bad reviews but I have to in this case. I dropped my truck off at the service center last Monday and I was told that I would get a call about my diagnostic by the end of that day. I never received a call, so I decided to reach out that same day and left a message on the voicemail and with customer service to have someone reach out to me and they never did. I was being patient because I am aware of things happening and businesses being busy. So the next day I call the service center multiple times and no answer. Then I called Customer service (Ms. Chris, extremely helpful by the way) to see if I can get In touch with someone at the service department, and she relays my message to see if I could get someone to reach out to me about my status of my truck. Service told her they would reach out to me in couple of hours (the time then was 11a). I never received a call, so I called back around 3 and Ms. Chris got me in touch with Greg at the service center and he finally gave me a status that basically that I had transmission issues and it would cost “x” amount to fix and I said I would pay just let me know what I need to pay. He said he would reach back out but I never heard back. The next day which is Wednesday now, I had to call back and Greg told me that they couldn’t fix my truck. Honestly that is all that I was looking for, an answer . I would of bought a car from them but the customer service was so bad with the service center and wouldn’t recommend anyone to use them. I was extremely disappointed! I wasn’t rude nor did I have an attitude. I was actually extremely patient. They also put me in a bind and I had to purchase a rental car for Mon.-Wed that week.

I want to send a shout out to Shaun Jesse for making my new car shopping so easy. I came in early Saturday to drop off my current car for a scheduled service. I also came in with the intent to shop for a new SUV. They set me up with Shaun Jesse to start the process. I test drove multiples vehicles and each time he was so patient and helpful. Some of the SUVs were across the street (on other lots), yet he never hesitated to run around as much as needed. He was well versed on every vehicle I drove and never pressured me to buy. Even when I found THE ONE... He was very patient. I thank God for my new car and I appreciated Shaun.

Their website states they are an Authorized EV dealership, however, nobody seemed to know anything about EVs. I shouldve left when I was told my EV needed an Oil Change 🤦😑 Do not recommended for EVs. Staff was friendly, facility was clean and nice. But service is questionable.

Im really impressed with Kia overall. This was a rocky purchase, but management really went above and beyond to make it right. Finance guy was great with very clear options and pricing. Car was still dirty after the papers were done, but we brought it back for a solid detail at no cost. Temp tags were removed during the detail and not replaced, but sales manager got it all squared away. I would consider going back to this location for another purchase.

Truthfully, Kory and Rob W have easily made me continue getting service from this particular Kia dealership. Kory has continuously gone above and beyond in thoroughly helping me understand any service needed on my car, why it’s needed, and explaining exactly what causes any need for repair or maintenance. I have all of my questions and concerns addressed immediately which I am grateful for and I feel comfortable that the maintenance on my car is being done to a top tier standard. I appreciate that because my prior experience with another service staff was not the best and his follow up was horrible and left me concerned about my car.Rob W (salesperson) saw that I was looking at another vehicle while waiting on the maintenance and came over, introduced himself, and inquired about any questions I had and even provided suggestions on how to best handle a potential trade-in for a newer model Kia. That was dope and I appreciate the help and effort. These both could be the reason I stay with Kia and for the time being, will be the reason I continue traveling past Capital Kia to Germain for my car.

I cant speak to the car buying experience but I have been getting my car serviced at Germain Kia for years and Ive never had a bad experience. Most recently, I had to have my car serviced for 60,000 mile factory maintenance. The service took over three hours. I waited the entire time at the dealership.Now I know what youre thinking three hours, what a nightmare! and you would be right if it werent for how great the team was at Germain Kia. My entire service, including oil change, tire rotation, cabin and engine filter replacements and overall inspection was completely free of charge due to how long I had to wait. The service department was short staffed and had a hard time getting one of the filters replaced in my car so they completely comped the entire service. This was $300 worth of car maintenance that was done for free due to things entirely out of their control!I am super thankful for the Germain Kia service department being considerate enough to comp the entire service. And the times where I have paid full price for maintenance, Germain Kia has been timely and I have never had to wait for more than an hour to an hour and a half depending on the service.Germain Kia also has beverages, snacks and free WIFI while you wait. Your car also gets a complimentary wash with any service.

Had the best car buying experience here. I was looking to get into car better on gas with payments that worked in my budget. Inquired about a 2016 Chevy Malibu LT and was instantly contacted by Jason to schedule a appointment to come see the car. Upon my arrival i was greeted by Kevin whos knowledgeable and low pressure salesman who listened to all my needs. He delivered! The sales manager was also courteous and worked with me to make sure i was taken care of and got the deal done! The Finance manager Will was such a great help and informative in explaining the coverages that came with my purchase and even gave me his personal number to contact him should i ever have any questions or issues. I was having a frustrating day with my car and on the verge of tears, so when I walked into this Kia store I was incredibly grateful for the phenomenal service I was greeted with. The first person to interact with me was Kendel, perhaps the friendliest sales associate I’ve ever met. He kept me entertained with great questions and stories while my car problems were quickly fixed. I went in to the store close to crying and came out laughing. When I did have questions about the extended warranty, paint protection and maintence care add ons i purchased my emails are responded with I have forwarded your email to [blank] and he should respond. Was going through the process of getting a newer vehicle from this location and after speaking with an online sales/finance person for an entire day I was told I would be able to get the vehicle I was looking at within my price range. Once the day came for my appointment i was told by another sales person that I was not going to be bale to be approved for the vehicles of my choosing. And that the only way to get into a new vehicle was to take on a $750 a month payment. though I finally was made aware of the truth. The fact that internet sales and floor sales are so far off from each other is pathetic and shows how shady car dealerships truly are. Feels like I was fished in by internet sales just to be told I had to be thrown back. Disappointed

Purchased a brand new 2020 KIA Optima from them in April. I bought an aftermarket extended warranty from them. Unfortunately I was involved in a bad wreck with my family and the vehicle was totaled. Every dealer Ive spoke with as well as car salesmen, my insurance company, and the body shop where my vehicle was fixed said I would get a refund of some sort for it. I’ve called Germain KIA multiple times and finally they reached out and took care of me quickly.

Kevin singlehandedly took myself and my fiances minimally complex situation and took it from an easy 3 day max car buying experience to an almost 2 week ordeal. Simply with a lack of seemingly any effort to follow up, by running my credit excessively only to NOT INFORM us of any decision or result of these checks. Lll never go anywhere else! I really didnt know what I wanted for my sons first car. I had a price range, a body style and a couple colors. Other dealerships made me narrow my search down to one car to test drive and I left disappointed every time, until I met Justin Fields with Germain Kia! He was recommended by one of my friends.Justin found several cars that met my search criteria, not only on the Kia lot, but the surrounding lots as well. If youve ever been to the Auto mall, you know there are a ton of surrounding lots! He drove me around to look at/test drive each one. He gave his honest opinion, checked the AC and heat while I drove and advised that I could take them out on my own if Id like. His company is very pleasant, so I preferred him along for the ride. He knew everything about the cars at his dealership, and worked with the surrounding dealerships to answer any questions I had about their cars. There are probably 3 cars I would have purchased that day, but I fell in love with one on the Kia lot and purchased it effortlessly. I had such a great experience with Justin, Ive already told my friends and family that I have a guy next time they purchase a car. Ill never go to anyone else!

Formally Hatfield Kia, I was sold a vehicle that had to have the engine replaced twice, the 3rd time Kia wouldn’t cover the cost even though the engine was just replaced 9 months prior. Buying a car from this dealership was the worse mistake I have made in my life and has now caused financial issues that is going to take me a while to bounce back from. No one buys a 15+ thousand dollar car to end up having it deemed useless with $8000 left for repayment. I would never buy a car from this or any other Kia dealerships. After doing research I’ve found that it’s normal for engine replacement in Kia vehicles and they often have recalls. Stay far away.

I really like this dealership, the environment is welcoming and I didn’t mind waiting there while my car got worked on. It’s very nice with lots of amenities. I went there to look at new Tellurides and I was helped by sales rep named Hunter. He did an excellent job showing me all my options left no stone unturned and bent over backwards with the financing and what he offered for my trade in. Wow, please read the low rating reviews about this dealership before proceeding in doing business with them. Seems like most of their “good” reviews are fake. I had contacted them for a car that I was interested in online. The salesman on the phone Shane Bandara, was extremely unprofessional, rude and not competent in answering my questions. When asking questions about the car, he’d say things like “I don’t know”? Like clearly I’m calling because I’d like more information about a vehicle. Was not willing to negotiate or anything. Based from the reviews I’ve read, I’m glad I didn’t follow through. This place is a scam! No thanks, I’ll do my business elsewhere.

Final Update: Raised back to 3 stars. Kudos to Chad, one of the sales managers, got the issue resolved for us. Thank you so much! The other managers need to be educated on customer service and Ohio law.I really didn’t want to write a subpar review because everyone I met in store was personable and patient. But, we have just been facing multiple issues since purchase. We bought a used 2016 Kia Sedona with 54,000 miles about 3-4 weeks ago. Everything seemed good upon inspection and test driving. I did notice two dents on the back (that was not pictured in their posted photos), a panel that wouldn’t completely pop back into place, and one broken 12V port. But those are mostly cosmetic and not a big deal.The day after purchase, we noticed that the windshield wiper fluid was leaking. That was odd because there had definitely been windshield wiper fluid in the reservoir the day prior and I had not noticed any leaks when inspecting the car. We also found out that one passenger seat would not lock into place (ended up fixing that ourselves) and that the other passenger seat was stuck and would not fold (that one is still stuck.)A few weeks later, we found that one of the side panels in the trunk area was warped and would not completely pop back into place. We also noticed there is a wheel lock lug nut that we were not provided a key to (which means we would have to pay extra when we need to have our back wheels removed). And today, I noticed there is major condensation in one of our taillights with what appears to be black mold growing inside.This car had a clean car fax and only has 54,000 miles on the odometer, so I am so confused as to why it has more issues than my 124,000 mile 2010 Kia forte did. Granted, they are mostly minor, but fixing everything would cost well over a grand and now I’m really skeptical about the condition and longevity of the car. I’m kicking myself for not being more thorough when inspecting it! But, either all these issues were known and not disclosed, or the car was just not inspected meticulously by the dealer before the sale (mind you, the car was listed above carfax value). Both those options leave me disappointed.

Extremely disappointed in this dealership and their service department. I have had 2 engines replaced in my Kia optima over the last 3 years. Check Engine light blinking last Thursday so I had it towed to this dealership. Called Friday( next day) and informed the service guy that the light was blinking. Asked him when they could look at it because I was down a car. He said they were busy but would probably get to it later that day. Called at the end of the day and left a message. Saturday morning nothing so I called again. This was also after numerous calls because half the time nobody in service picks up. Just goes to this Christiness VM and she has never called me back. Finally got a hold of service guy and he said Well we have tow trucks bringing cars in every day and we are backed up but it is in line and a tech will look at it today. I called at 4:45pm on Saturday and the sales guy who answered said, Well I will try but they probably wont get the phone because they are probably getting ready to leave. I get that it is almost 5pm but at least call and tell me you couldnt get to it, again. Monday rolls around thinking I would get a call in the morning. . .no call. I start trying again, leaving messages and finally left a message for the service manager at around 1pm. Finally got a call back from the original service guy from Friday and Saturday and said, I know you left a message for our service manager and he is personally going to see that a tech looks at it today. I write this review on Tuesday morning because no surprise I didnt get a call from the manager or the service guy. I only want to know what the diagnosis and I cant even get someone to look at it. I had troubles previously with this dealership and when I told the original service guy this he said Well we have changed owners and now Germain owns us and I think you will find the service to be different now. I guess he meant it would be worse than before?

Recently I took my car to Ricart Kia for engine knocking, I was told there was nothing wrong with my car. Few days later I took to Germain Kia, within a week they replaced the motor and have it running good as new. They were able to have the motor recalled and at no cost or hassle to me, fixed the issues I was having. I wouldnt waste time going anywhere else.

I just traded in my 2015 Jeep Cherokee and I was stuck on a certain budget and certain features I wanted in my next car. Gerard, Bryan & Will all helped me find the best car I’ve ever owned, a 2020 Kia Optima S, in my price range and with everything I wanted in a car. Kia was one of my top place we wanted to go to look for are new used car. i talk to one of there sales reps. throw e-mails for ABOUT 2 WKS before we decided to go in see what they had to said. Are hope were low for we didnt have good credit or much money at all to put down . We got there, they were very friendly and very attentive. they listen to what we wanted and try to accommodate as best they could . We looked at a few cars and we both ( My husband and I ) kind already know which one we wanted. We picked out he car at first the came back with a offer that we was NOT comfortable with. So right then we thought this is it we wont be getting a car anytime soon. But they work every angle they could and pretty much gave the car away just so we could have it and be ok with the monthly payments. To Our surprise we left the day with our dream family car . 2011 Kia Optima . we could not be happier with it . The reason for the 4 star is we show up at 6;00 pm for are appointment agreed to the finances by 8:00pm, But so didnt 2 other people right before us. unfortunately there was only one finance guy there and we were last. We sat there with our 7 yrs old till 11:30 before we got are paper work done and we also lived hour away so we didnt get home till 1:00am. We both had to be up at 6:30 am my poor bABY HUNG IN THERE BUT WAS SO TIRED FOR SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. I let him stay home. Kias other guy wasnt there is why there was only one . so other then it taking 6 hours to buy the car we love everything they did for us and we LOVE the car so much . and we will be back to get our next car in five yrs or so and we have already told our friend they should go there to . also for our wait they did say when we come back that way they would fill our gas tank up for us which is nice of them. so if you think you cant get in to a nice car go to Hatfield Kia they will do what ever they can to help you and make it possible for you to drive a nice car1/09/17On the 6th of Janary my car had broke down, and i new it was the motoe, up until this point i had no issuse with my car . I call and had it towed back the kia I bought it from, Know i paid for a warrety, Kia got ahols of my husband today to tell us the engine was in fact blow, . and to inform us the Kias is at fasult and ther will be repacing ours with a brand new one and giving us a free loner car, Up until todaY we were so worried Easy care was going to somehow make it out to be our fault but Kia didnt even use them my car has less than 100.000 mile is a 2011 optima so kia is taking full reponseabilty for this happening, I could not be more please with the service of this dealer ship we will be buying out next wehical from them in the future and we we be refreeing everyone here . thank so much Kia for being a great place to but a car if i could give 10 Stars i would . They flat out lied to me about THREE different things about my vehicle. Aldi I bought the vehicle in late August or early September and I still dont have my title or any other paperwork and its late November. Bought a new vehicle here and traded in my old car. The trade in is not paid off, now showing as delinquent with late fee. No documents provided regarding purchase protection with details of coverage. No phone calls back despite frequent requests and messages. BBB shows this is a pattern at this location. Be weary of any deal here not worth the hassle.8/14 update: After Google review and BBB submission I received an immediate response via phone and email. Since that call all my issues have been resolved and questions have been addressed.In evaluating customer service and customer expectations I do not feel the time spent seeking a resolution, frustrations getting no responses, and just outright complacency demonstrated anything higher than this rating. I do not feel a satisfactory conclusion should only come at the end of these steps. Its not hard to return a phone call when asked nor demonstrate that the customer is your singular focus.

I recently purchased a 2021 Seltos through sales rep, Justin Bailey. He is 100% the man with the plan!At first, I was emailing back and forth. I had some engagements and asked if texting would work. Justin adjusted for me no problem! He ran numbers for me in fiance and lease for the Sportage. He did the same for the Seltos. I was all over the place in my decision making!I appreciate a lot of the work being done over email so I did not have to be at Kia all day long. Everything was what Justin said it was going to be. There were no hidden fees or false expectations! Justin really is a great guy and shared some of his personal story with me. I know he is trying to make a deal, like we all are, but I appreciate him being a person FIRST and a sales rep second.I will be going to this KIA for years to come and going to migrate my family there as well to work with Justin!

We purchased a 2021 Telluride in August with sales rep JB. JB was very professional, gave us plenty of options to fit our budget, explained all the bells and whistles on the vehicle and made the buying experience seamlessly easy. No pressure, no hassle. The dealership was very clean, everyone was adhering to the state mandated mask order, had snack/drinks available while waiting. We received a freshly washed, full tank of gas ready for adventure Telluride within a short time of arriving at the dealership. We will always make the drive to Germain Kia, no matter the distance!

Extreme lack of integrity for this sales team. Highly disappointed in wasting time and trying to commit on the spot to buying a vehicle from this dealership. I set up a purchase through their Germain Express Purchase Program online. Chose the exact model w/vin#, chose paying in cash, and scheduled the delivery to my home. I received a thank you for purchasing email and a sales rep (Tierra Manning) contacted me directly. She told me that she would handle the details and let me know what specifics that she would need from us upon delivery. Two hours later, I receive a text someone is currently in the dealership taking delivery of the vehicle. Wow, unbelievable.Essentially, they committed to selling me the vehicle, but when a face-to-face customer entered their facility, they chose to sell to them. This retired Air Force veteran will not be returning to any of the Germain dealerships and I certainly will tell my story to as many people as I can. If you value trust and transparency in a car company, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM Germain Kia of Columbus.

I was sold a 2015 Sorento and had the tire tread measured before my purchase, and based on those measurements I should have gotten a couple more years out of them. I didnt even think to look for dry rot since it was a newer vehicle. A few months after my purchase I got a flat tire, fortunately I didnt have a blow-out on the highway or it could have been much worse, as I had my newborn and wife in the car. I took my car in to a local shop to plug the flat and after they inspected the tires they recommended replacing all four tires because of dry rot. I subsequently paid over $1,000 for new tires just several months after my purchase. And just recently my rear-view camera stopped working (fortunately I purchased extended warranties). The salesman was friendly and helpful but I was extremely disappointed about the tires and feel I at least should have been warned about the tires and received an additional discount. I suppose shame on me for not inspecting the tires closer but as you can see from the pictures one of the tires had a tear on the inside wall which I could have never seen (but they must have seen this during their inspection).

Do not do business here if you except any kind of service with your purchase!! I purchased a 2016 Yukon Denali on October 30. Within an hour of leaving the dealership found out the rear hvac controls did not work (front controls or rear, they would only go up in temperature not down.) and also heated seats. I contacted the salesman and he set up an appointment in service. Therefore I thought I made the right choice and the dealer would make things right. Today 11/7/20 my girlfriend and her son took the vehicle back to Columbus to be looked. She was told that they do not have any rental/courtesy vehicles. I called the salesman to figure this out, salesman was a very nice guy, and he said he would get her a vehicle because they do in fact have rental/courtesy cars which didn’t happen for another hour, but the moral of the story is service completely lied to her face about having courtesy vehicles. Once the yukon was assessed it would cost $1501.95 to repair the vehicle and Germain would not cover any of the cost because it “had gone through service” before it was sold. If it truly went through service how did they miss the malfunctioning components? Why were all the floor mats piled in the back of the vehicle when we arrived to look at it? And the headliner had stains (which were removed before purchase by requests).

Very disappointed with the sales tactic that was used in this Kia and others. As we shopped around for an SUV, the salesperson in this location heard our budget and what we wanted and told us flat out that we would not get that anywhere. We then proceeded to tell him that we actually got numerous quotes from other dealerships that would meet our price, and he dismissed this as us not getting that price in the end. We also asked about the Kia promotion that listed their SUV at our price and he said that there was no promotion. My husband then pulled up the ad on his phone, had the salesman confirm that this ad was for this location; when asked about this car, the salesman dismissed it again saying that they did not have any more of the cars specials on the lot.From the moment we talked to this salesman and another salesman at a different Kia location, it felt like old-school-used-car-salesman tactics that was meant to scare or bully us into a purchase with misinformation and exaggerated numbers. We left immediately and got much better deal quotes from Jeep down the street and Hyundai across the street (of which I highly recommend).I do not recommend this place, especially if you need financing or lease options because if they are going to try to push bad pricing on well qualified buyers, they will most likely try to push higher APR rates as well.
