I have gotten my car serviced here numerous times for many different issues. This Firestone is the best auto shop in Columbus. Mike is great to work with; he provides direct and honest advice, reliable repairs, and all at a very reasonable rate.

I recently purchased a used car and needed some routine maintenance done. Michael was very helpful in getting it done quickly. A week later, just as I was getting ready to leave town, a mysterious noise started. I rushed over and, though he was busy, he took a few minutes to look and see that a plastic shield had come loose and was flapping freely. Threw my car on the lift and secured the loose part. It wouldve been annoying to drive hundreds of miles like that, it was a real lifesaver that Michael found the time to help me out in a pinch. Definitely a sign of a solid person.

My boyfriend and I first came here because we lived close by. As we’ve moved away from the area, we’ve tried one or two other mechanics, and we regretted it. This place is trustworthy, and feels like a small town guy. We’ll never go anywhere else. The owner is a great guy, and we always trust his judgement!

Great place! As a woman it can be hard to find auto shops where I feel comfortable and this place is it. It felt like going to my dad for car help! The customer service is fantastic, they were really quick, and the quality is excellent. Their Covid precautions made me feel very safe as well. Highly recommend this place!! This was my first time ever going to an auto shop where I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of.

This place is old school. No appointments (only first-come, first-serve), no WiFi, and no free coffee. The owner, Mike, handles service at the counter AND works on the cars. I return here again and again because I trust Mike and his mechanics to do needed work correctly and to not rip me off with repairs and services I dont need. These guys are mechanics, not con artists, who stand behind their work. I might be able to get the same repairs and services cheaper somewhere else but being able to trust them is PRICELESS.

I went to Firestone Car Care Center for the first time on 3/19/2021. From the start Mike treated me like I have been a life long customer. I got married on 3/18/2021 and realized I had a flat tire, and was due to replace all four tires. I called a few shops, and was told the specific tire I needed (which is what Firestone online said I needed), and no-one else I called was able to get me the tires I needed. Mike got me an appointment right away, and turns out the tires I had requested werent actually the size I needed for my car (the other shops and firestone online were wrong). Mike offered coming in on his day off on Saturday to get my car done. I agreed. He called me 20 minutes later to tell me he found the tires I needed at another shop, got them delivered and had my car done on Friday afternoon. Mike went above and beyond! Having just moved to Columbus, I didnt have a shop I felt comfortable bringing my car. Ive now found it and will use Mike for years to come! Thanks Mike!

I’ve taken my car to this body shop several times for an oil change, a tire patch and to fix a slow leak on additional tires. Each time their price was extremely reasonable, and the turnaround on the job was very efficient. Mike at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. Worth giving them a call.

I woke up on Christmas Eve and found that all 4 of my tires were slashed. It was extremely upsetting and terrifying. As Im working throughout the holiday, I was also stressed about figuring out how to repair my car and get to work. I started calling around to try to find a place that might replace my tires. Though his shop was actually closed, Mike picked up the phone and asked what was wrong. When he heard the story, he offered to come in to his shop from home, pick up new tires and fix my car at his shop on Christmas eve. I had my car completely fixed all in one day. It was a huge relief. He is the kindest person who completely saved me from the worst Christmas. Highly recommend this place to anyone and will only be coming here for car issues from now on. The guy at the front desk was neither helpful nor friendly. Id call him straight up rude. He had no patience for the few questions I asked, and he answered with shoulder shrugs or I have no idea. I dont know if he treats everyone like this, or only women. I will not return.

Ive been going to this Firestone for over 10 years—everything from oil changes and flat tires to more serious work like a new exhaust, new belt, etc. Not only is their pricing is very reasonable, but their work has always been great with zero issues. The owner Mike is a pleasure and always tells you how long things will take. Ill continue to take my car here for another 10 years.

Called to get my tires replaced and saw they were closed on saturdays due to covid, so i called about my options and they guy made an exception for me! I couldnt be more grateful! I didnt even know what size tires i needed, so he walked me through it, and i felt incredibly reassured during the whole process. I cant reccomend this place enough!

Easily the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic. Had an unfortunate breakdown and serendipitously chose to take it here. Although I was out of country, Mike kept me in touch and informed, and I was able to decide upon the work that was needed. Good guy and would recommend.

Just the best place to bring your car for any service needs . Mike and Dave are excellent. I have used them for years for tires, oil changes, major repairs, flat tire etc .The main thing is this is a place you can trust for honest service . No unnecessary repairs, no inflated bills . More times than not the problem with my car was a simple fix and not as bad as I thought .Note that they do not take appointments. You drop your vehicle off and its 1st come 1 st serve .

I’m a nurse at OSU, and the other morning, I returned to my car in the parking lot around 7:30am only to find one of my tires on my brand new car was flat. I cancelled my AAA membership a few years back, so my only choice was to find the closest tire place. Luckily, it was these guys! I’m pretty sure they saw the look of exhaustion and pure desperation on my face because even though they were really busy, they put a new tire on my car after finding the giant screw I ran over. They really did me the biggest favor, and I’m so grateful that I found them! So professional and kind!

I was about to go to a chain muffler place for work on my brakes when I called here to get a quote it was significantly cheaper .I will continue to come here for all my car needs .

Great experience. Mike took the time in the middle of April on a Saturday morning when the shop was appointment only due to Covid to come inflate my flat tire at my house and get me to the shop safely for new tires.

I always receive great service and high-quality work! Mike always does a great job and goes the extra mile to service my Jeep.

Unfortunately my cars tire went flat while at work, I was able to get it filled and thought I would limp to the nearest tire repair shop to have them look at it since I live over 60 miles away. when I told the man at the counter my issue he was very unhelpful and told me he was busy and could look at it later and to leave my car there, unfortunately that was not an option for me, I then asked him if he would do me a favor and at least take a quick look at my tire since I had to drive so far away, he was very rude about it and took quick look, and appeared to be very unhappy and as if I was bothering him during the entire encounter. Its such a shame because I would rather give my money to a small business any day over a large corporate company, but not in this case. I was able to make it back home where I gave $300 to a large company with great customer service.

I have gone to this location a few times, due to the proximity to my work. I was able to walk to work while they took care of my issues. I have gone 4 times to this location. 2 times for tires (which I had no issues with, so feel free to go for this type of work), and 2 times for breaks (which I would recommend you go elsewhere). The first time my breaks started wearing down, I took it to this shop and they replaced rotors and break pads. A year later they replaced the rotors and breaks pads again ($700 both times). They stated the calipers were frozen, but we were able to lubricate them I asked them if I should replace them, to which they responded you should be okay only to have my breaks wear down 6 months later. I took my car to the dealership for a recall, and asked them to look at my breaks since they had been grinding for a week or so. They recommended that I replace my breaks, rotors, and calipers and then go back to the shop and ask for a refund. I did and was treated extremely poorly. Car Care Center spoke condescendingly to me for not bringing it in to them, and would not consider refunding any portion of the cost citing their warranty requirements, which were never made clear to me (or even mentioned). They are not a bad shop if they do the work right, but if they dont do not expect to be treated well when trying to get some help. Also, they are not an official Firestone store despite branding being all over the building. They are authorized to sell Firestone/Bridgestone parts, and thats it. Firestone will not be helpful.

They had a black friday sale on tires and we woke up at 5 am to take advantage. This place was very clean and professional. Not overly friendly but the service was thorough and fast. We will definitely be back. This is the second time Ive bought tires from Firestone and they have great quality and value.

Great people to have work on your car they can do everything

I called the manger to ask about a rear bearing on my Ford Explorer(on Napa the part costs $350) he tried quoting me over $1000.... not to mention the rude customer service.

Called early in the morning to ask if I could bring my car in because one of the tires was leaking air. They said to bring it in any time that day and theyd take a look at it. Brought it in around 10am and they fixed it (found a nail in the tire) and had me on my way in 20 minutes. Very fast and friendly. Reasonable prices.

Absolutely amazed! I brought my car in because it’s starting to “miss” a little. They had it for a day and ran tests including road tests. They couldn’t find anything. I asked them to go ahead and change spark plugs and wires. They told me that would only put money in their pocket and take money from mine without solving the problem. They want me to come back if it happens again and they will check againThis cost me nothing! Really!! Who does this anymore. I will be coming here because I TRUST THEM. They will only do work if you need it and will turn you away if you don’t.I am writing this from the parking lot, still in shock.

The store manager was so nice and genuine. Had my first flat tire (actually tire x2) ever, and he made me feel at ease from the start. Definitely would come back here again for car service. (:

I am glad that Firestone at King makes my wife feel comfortable (she used to stress out about car repairs when she was trying to find a nearby mechanic but now we travel a bit further to keep going to Grandview). She has taken over handling the car repairs for both of our cars because she trusts them. I work during normal weekday business hours but she arranges for them to fix our cars and I can help her drop off or pick up the cars when they are closed. You have to leave your car there, but if you can share your spouse’s car then this is the best place to go. Firestone at King has fixed our: carbon filter, brakes, wheel bearing, belt, loose battery strap, and headlights. They also do all of our oil changes and change the light bulbs in the headlights (I don’t recommend trying to change light bulbs yourself because that’s how we broke our whole headlight). Firestone at King is solid bet for fair prices and quality repair.

Good service for my Honda

After reading the reviews, I decided to try out Firestone Complete Auto Care to get my oil changed. I was so happy with everything. I am a young female and feel as though I am always pressured to purchase more than what I need, but not at Firestone. It was a very professional and positive experience from the moment I walked in and out. Have already referred my boyfriend there and will continue to do so!

Ive been here two times in the last couple months (for unrelated issues) and was impressed both times by their friendliness, professionalism, and honesty. On the most recent occasion I had a gas leak issue and was relieved when I heard that the the culprit was just a bad section of fuel line hose. Then I was thrilled that all I had to pay for was the part cost..no labor at all!

I have been bringing my cars here for service for maybe 6 or 7 years. Mike and his crew have always been friendly towards me, providing great service and usually on the same day. I can drop my vehicle off in the morning, go to work nearby and pick it up in the evening on the way home. After taking my vehicles to car repair shops over my 30 years of driving experience, theres few I would rate this highly. Ive seen my share of hackjobs or price gouging at car repair places and I dont experience that here. Thanks guys.

Just got back from getting my flat tire changed after I hit a pothole last night. Service was quick and the people working there were very personable. The guy said theyd have my car ready by three after I dropped it off at noon. I got a call around 1 saying my car was done. The only thing that kinda sucked was they originally said theyd be able to straighten out my rim that had been dented but after testing it they said Id have to buy a new one (they found me a used rim for $50!). Definitely coming to them with any other future car problems.

Ive been taking my vehicles to this location for over 10 years. After I moved I tried a few different mechanics that are closer to my new apartment but I ended up coming back to this King Ave Firestone because they are the only place that I trust to be honest with me. Over the last 10+ years Ive had a lots of positive experiences and here are a few:1) My dashboard was totally dark and I couldnt see the dash at all when I was driving at night. I took my car there the next morning in a panic telling them that I dont care how much it cost I just needed it fixed. They called me a few hours later telling me to come pick up my car. When I arrived they showed me how to turn on/off/dim the dash light and did not charge me.2) I took my Subaru to the dealership where they told me I had an oil pan leak and that it was unsafe to even drive off the lot. My boyfriend at the time said we needed a second opinion and the dealership tried to scare us into thinking the car could catch fire if we drove it too far without fixing it. I then took the car to this Firestone and they told me that there was some condensation on the pan but nothing dangerous or that needed to be fixed. They didnt charge me for looking at it and saved me over $1000 that the Subaru dealership tried to scare me into paying3) AAA broke off some of my tires lugnuts when they were repairing a flat. They told me to get the lugnuts replaced so I went to King Ave Firestone. They replaced the lugnuts for two tires. I asked them when they thought I should come back to replace the final two tires and they told me if its not broke dont fix it. You can really trust these guys to not sell you anything you dont need.4) My husband drives a Corolla and the dealership told us a laundry list of things that needed fixed. We paid $200+ for the inspection at the dealership and took the list of things they recommended to be fixed to the King Ave Firestone for a second opinion of everything. They agreed with only half of the recommendations and fixed those things for cheap.5) My Mitubshi was making a weird sound and long story short: the King Ave guys took small cheap steps to take care of the sound before moving up to the bigger expense repairs (wheelbearing replacement). All along the way they were very clear in explaining my options to me and at no point did I ever feel confused or pressured.The staff at King Ave are clear, direct, and dont try to ever confuse you (which I ran in to A LOT when I was trying to find a good mechanic closer to my home). They do require you to drop off your car since their set up is a first-come-first-served style however they are really flexible and have allowed me to drop off my key during their work hours and then drop off my car when they are closed (since my husband isnt available to help drop off the car during their normal hours), and they also allow me to pay for my car and pick up my keys during their work hours but then leave my car on their lot until my husband can again come help. They have never had one of my cars for more than a few days and have a fast turn around time. I recommend this King Ave Firestone to everyone because they wont charge you for anything you dont need, they are easy to understand and work with, and they do solid high quality work. To be clear though- the King Ave shop is different from the other Firestones. I went to a Firestone in Clintonville/Worthington area who definitely tried to sell me everything under the sun I didnt need, so make sure you go to the King Ave one. Dropping off your car and having to drive far from home might seem like cons, but the benefits far outweigh any other considerations.

Got a new battery installed and a nail in my tire fixed. The store manager and all of the staff were exceptionally honest and helpful. Had my car in and out in no time at all. Ive been screwed over so many times by Midas and Tuffy...never again. This place is by far the best car care place in Columbus. Thanks!

If I could go lower I would.Took the car in for a slow leaking flat. Was denied service as they were closing in 20 minutes. Fine.. took it in the next day. After getting the car back the engine oil cap was unseated dumping oil all over.my driveway and my coolant reservoir was bone dry causing my car to overheat. I didnt take it in for anything else but the tire. Why anyone was poking around under my hood is beyond me.

Called today to see if I could bring my car in for an oil change tomorrow. Man who answered was short with me, vague about how long an oil change would take (bring it in in the morning and we will see what we can do) and had a rude tone. I called Tuffy and was treated with much more respect and made an appointment with them instead. This is the second time a Firestone employee has treated me this way over the phone. They will not be getting my business.

Had to be towed there for 2 flat tires (tires were vandalized while parked at work on night shift). Tried to gouge me on tire mounting and balancing (already had an extra set of tires) and first told me he couldnt look at it till 10am. Then said since theyre bigger rims he wasnt going to look at it till noon. Ended up driving on 2 flats to Tuffy on W. 5th Avenue, which was around the corner. They had great customer service and really helped me out by getting me back in the road quickly. I would not recommend this firestone to anyone. I was set back by the type of customer service and price gouging I had to deal with at Firestone on King Avenue.
