Campus Auto Service is extremely helpful and professional. I had to tow my car here because the engine would not start and believed there was a short fuse in the engine. They were able to figure out that the problem was an issue with the battery installment and fixed my car in the same day. The workers there explained everything to me in a way I that’s I understood and were very kind. In recommend bringing your car here for any problems!

I went to have a mechanic check out why my car was sputtering on my Buick Encore. The cute blonde receptionist I read about on previous reviews was as friendly as she was over the phone. They diagnosed the problem quickly and informed me they could have it done by the time I got off work. I had expected a large quote due to possible engine issues, but the repair is minor and possibly saved me at least $600. I will definitely be back for repairs and routine maintenance. We went there for the first time based on the reviews here. Glad to say that our experience matched that of several others here. They did the work on time, did not try to oversell us for anything. In fact, even when we had asked for an oil change, they told us that the oil is good for another 2K miles, and that we can easily wait.The primary repair we got done was an exhaust pipe repair. Work was done satisfactorily - the noise is gone now.I know trust takes time to build. Based on the experience so far, we intend to use the same place again.

Took a drive down to visit a friend in Columbus from Cleveland. My car started to make increasingly weird noises on the way there to the point where I didn’t feel safe driving it, but I was supposed to leave to go back home the next day. The next morning I called, this service was able to take in my car right away, find the problem (tensioner pulley broke and the belt fell off— could have caused some bad engine damage), and fixed it up for a fair price so I was ready to leave that same night as I originally planned. The lady working at the front was very knowledgable and helpful in explaining what was wrong to me even though I don’t know much about cars. If I lived in Columbus I would definitely come back here again!

I cannot day enough nice things about the kind gentleman Andy who pieced together the front of my car painstakingly so I could return back home three hours away with my cancer-stricken, immuno-suppressed fiance. His kindness and smarts saved me from disaster. He also kindly tried to reset my code, checked my brake fluid, reset my computer and showed me how to use features I had no idea how to use. All of this work, and his precious time. And the cost to me was minimal, in a situation someone else would have taken advantage of. Angels do exist.

I called about a brake issue on a Thursday night during COVID lockdown, and I was able to drop off my car after hours at the shop that night. Friday morning I spoke with the mechanic who was very helpful in explaining the issue and other issues he had found while assessing the vehicle. He didnt push these other repairs on me, but I chose to have him replace a water pump belt. I was only charged 0.3 hours of service for that extra belt replacement, which I found to be a generously low cost.My car was ready for pickup Friday afternoon, about 3 hours after the job was started first thing Friday morning. This was even during a time of limited hours due to COVID. My car seems to be running well now, and I had a great experience with this shop. Two thumbs up!

Ive taken my Subaru here several times over the years and I wouldnt take it anywhere else! They have been fast, accurate, and very affordable every time. They dont try to sell you with work you dont need and they have done all my repairs same-day. As long as I live in Columbus this is my go-to car shop!

They worked fast, without overcharging me. They were very honest in telling me that they could do more maintenance on my 2002 trailblazer, but that would drive up the price. The essencial for smooth running was done. If I wanted to spend more, they would do it. Exactly what I wanted to hear... The essential on a limited budget, at another time Ill take care of the rest.

If Im in c-bus and my car needs work I will always take it to Andy at Campus Auto. Its rare these days to find these kind of honest and hard working mechanics that you can truly trust. Had a failed brake light. Andy had to replace wiring behind the brake pedal. Very tight space and difficult to reach. He did a great job charged me less than the time it took. Very satisfied. I give Campus Auto my highest recommendation.

Excellent customer service with great integrity. Could have taken advantage of a situation and chose not to. In fact, they discovered something we thought was going to be a significant repair was only a minor issue. Ended up costing less than $50. Honesty, and focus on earning repeat customers, not stiffing one-time customers. I do not live in Columbus, but if I am ever in need of automotive repairs in that area, I will definitely choose Campus. Wouldnt even consider finding an alternative choice. Great people!

My husband and I were in the middle of a cross-country move when our Honda CRV broke down. We called Andy because of the great reviews on Google and we are so glad we did! The tow truck ran late so we werent able to get into Andys shop until 5:30pm (he closed at 6pm that day). Nevertheless, Andy threw the car up, took a look and gave us a VERY fair estimate for a new A/C compressor, serpentine belt, power steering repair, and new brakes on the front. We had to stay overnight and Andy was even kind enough to drop us at our hotel on his way home. I say this not because its a service he normally offers, but to illustrate his kindness and character.He started on the car first thing the next morning (a Saturday) to help us get back on the road. The shop opened up at 8am and we had the car by 11:30a. The actual charge was about $100 lower than the estimated cost because he spent less time on it than he thought he would - and thats even with taking care of a few smaller problems he noticed while he was working. The car runs like a dream and we made it to our destination with no problems. Andy was friendly, sympathetic to our plight, and incredibly fair. I seriously have no idea how to thank this man for his kindness other than posting this review. If I ever find myself living in the Columbus area, I would go to Andy exclusively. I cant recommend him enough.

Great and reasonably priced service

Usually dont do reviews. When I look at shops to do repairs on cars I look at the reviews. I am weary of shops that have reviews from people that dont often review any services let alone a car place. However, the service at Campus Auto was above and beyond and the least I owe them is a review. First of all Andy who helped me was a great guy. My request was to put downpipes on a 2010 335i xdrive was an odd one so he asked me to come in so he could access the job at hand. I walked into their shop not expecting much. I was greeted at the door and they immediately put my car on the lift and inspected the job. In a quick 10 minutes I was able to schedule and get a quote for the install, I was already impressed. When it came time to drop off my car it was quick and painless. The next week I dropped it off in the morning and got a call mid day that my car was ready for pickup. The install ended up being a pain and more labor hours needed to be added. However for what needed to be done on the install the price he quoted me at the end was unbeatable. Andy ended up charging me as close to the estimate as possible even though the labor hours surpassed the price of install. I had called countless other shops in the area that either would not tackle the job or charge double to what I payed at Campus Auto. I would highly recommend this shop for your variety of jobs and will be recommending others.

Went in to get a lower ball joint replaced after my dealer said it and a bunch of other things were falling apart on my vehicle. These guys were straight forward with me, friendly, fast, and the price ended up being less than half of what some other places wanted to charge me. I will definitely be going back with any other car repairs I may need.

I had called on a Saturday afternoon needing to get a safety check on my jeep before taking off for a last minute road trip to Florida. Matt answered and ended up meeting me at the front door and got me in right away. Two thumbs up!

I was to the point of junking my Audi A6 when i decided to call Campus Auto Services. my car wouldnt run on its own, no revs past 1500 rpms. couldnt get past 20 mph. they called me the next day with my car running tip top shape and i couldnt be more pleased with this shop. These people here at Campus Auto Services are now me and my families personal shop for repairs. I also dropped off my Grand Marquis that had blew the plug right out of the cylinder head. That is also running immaculate.

I have known Andy (the owner) for years, and he is the most honest mechanic I know. We used to take our trucks to him when I worked for a recovery company, and I still take my personal vehicles to him. I have been to Campus Auto several times - most of those times were a prime chance for them to rip me off. I have a limited knowledge of auto mechanics, enough to fix the odd problem here and there but thats it. Every time, I felt that Andy was honest with me and never tried to force any repairs on me. The prices are low to mid, but I would come back even if it was more expensive. I will continue to come back for all of my repairs.

I had multiple experience with them recently. Initially my exhaust system basically fell off my car and I needed it replaced quickly because I was driving out of town. Andy (the owner) fixed it the next day for me so I could get where I needed to be. It felt a little expensive based what other people have told me but I dont know anything about car parts so it could have been a fair price, regardless I was in a pinch and he helped me out. The next time a different part of the exhaust broke (it wasnt a part that was already replaced) and I again was actually on my way out of town. I managed to get it to Andy and he gave me all the options but I was short on time for a real repair so he took the back part of the exhaust off so I could drive it that weekend to where I needed to get free of charge and got me in and out in under 30mins. I took it back to him later next week to get it fixed, he wasnt able to get to it that day but was extremely apologetic which was fine because I didnt need it done that day and he had fixed it quickly when I was in a jam the other two times. He managed to repair the exhaust system back to factory like conditions and I think I got a good deal on the second repair.TL;DR - Overall seems like a nice guy and Id take my car back again.

I had my car serviced here in November 2017. The same issue came up again this weekend - I brought it in yesterday and they fixed it under warranty without me even having to ask.

Went in for a leak in my tire, and after not being able to find it (probably it only leaks when the pressures low, and I had just filled it), they didnt charge me a dime. PLUS they went ahead and took off a rattling piece of the exhaust heat shield and were honest enough to tell me it didnt really need replaced.

Amazing service and really reasonable/caring employees, much better than any chain auto-shop I have visited.

Replaced oil pressure switch, and was charged more than $80 for the switch. The online price for the switch ranges from less tan $10~$50. So I think the price is somewhat unreasonable
