Let me start off by saying I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about this dealership and the employees! We were 10/10 impressed by every aspect of this dealer! My husband and I had been searching for months to find the perfect vehicle with all the options/packages we were looking for, and at the time we had been working with a different dealer that just wasnt up to our standards ( Not answering calls or texts, taking days to respond, asking us to accept a vehicle with less options, ETC.). When we found the vehicle on Byers website we contacted them right away! We were Lucky enough to be paired with the salesman by the name of Rufus, and he did not disappoint! He answered all of our questions right away, he was very knowledgeable in the products, but not only that, he himself is a major car enthusiast! Where do I even begin...So way back in 2008 I shopped around for an Audi A5 and bought one from White Allen over in Dayton. I needed to trade-in for an Audi Q5 back in 2010. This is where Audi of Columbus comes into the picture. I purchased it from them because I had a great deal with some Internet special. I wasnt really focused on the experience or the staff or the dealership at the time. However, what was memorable was when the new Audi Q5 S-Line order came in the pick-up process was nice! I dont remember all the details now, but do remember that moment in time picking up the car. I worked with Matt Kneeland at the time. To this day, I love driving it. I take care of it and really have a smile on my face everytime I drive it.The brand new redesigned 2018 Q5 is now on the market and I went hunting and pecking about it. Really dissecting all the new features and things that I am loosing from my current 2010 Q5. I was pretty much set on NOT upgrading just for the tech and newer engine. It just didnt make sense mainly because of how much I still love driving my current one. Regardless just to get a feel I gave each dealership a fair shake. I got a super deal from White-Allen Audi in Dayton again. I recommend working with Kara. Super dealership, nothing bad to say. For me its just a smaller dealership and therefore there allocations are smaller and are farther away from me. I typically get my car serviced from MAG, again mainly because they are only 5-10 mins away and working with Josh there over the years I have no issues. The sales folks at MAG on the other hand are another story. I was supposed to get notified for multiple new models coming out and never was. When asked some basic questions, they would tell me incorrect information as if they knew everything. Overall not an experience where that level of trust is formed. Also it wasnt just one sales person, it was multiple.As I mentioned I was giving each dealership a fair shake. I got in touch with a Trey Latham over at Audi of Columbus. At this point I really didnt want to waste anymore time and was pretty well set on not upgrading. I mentioned to Trey I had a really great offer and asked if they would match it / beat it. We negotiated a bit and they did beat it and Trey asked me to stop by so they could evaluate my current vehicle that I had bought from them. So my son and I stopped by one afternoon. Trey had a CarFax report pulled up and all the specs including the purchase of my vehicle. In otherwords he was very well prepared! OK, Very good first impression! I typically am a prepared person, so I have mad respect for that. I asked some probing questions to see if he just wants a sale or really knows what he is taking about or is trustworthy/honest. Well the answer was and is ALL OF THE ABOVE. Of course he wants the sale, but they had an allocation from April and he was looking to use that for my order. So the hurry up and wait was mainly for that allocation. However, we got to talking about the differences and engines between the Q5 / SQ5, Adaptive Dampening Suspension, etc... In some cases we had to look up some information, but that is perfectly fine with me because that simply shows you mean what you say and there is no dishonesty/deceptions at hand. OK so trust is forming!It gets better!...We went on a test drive and I dont mean a tiny test drive around the block with the SA in the backseat. He handed me the keys and my son and I took one out around Columbus. Trey said take your time so we did. We took it out on the highway and went downtown, really really got a very very good feel of the new engine, the new comfort, all the new tech. My son and I were playing this game before that of what are the differences in these Q5s that would be reason enough to upgrade. The only reason we had before the test drive was that it was newer. After that test drive we probably easily had a dozen or more reasons. I could list them here but then this review could get too lengthy! ;-)We get back to the dealership and the net is we ordered an upgrade!

This Audi dealership consistently has slow, unhelpful and inattentive customer service. Had I not already owned an Audi prior to moving to Columbus I might have rethought my purchase. When you spend the money to own and maintain one of these cars you’d hope that they’d make the effort to have a seamless experience whenever you come in.Great cars, not a great experience.
I purchased my second Audi in four years and one of the main reasons is the fantastic experience of working with the people at Byers Audi. In particular my salesperson, Rachel, is really pleasant, pressure free and always going out of her way to make the purchase as simple as possible. She succeeded. Again. I highly recommend this dealership.
I can’t think of anything that Audi Columbus could have done to make the experience more positive. I was greeted by name immediately when I arrived, and arrangements were swiftly made to get me to where I wanted to go while they worked on our car. They checked pricing on upgrading my navigation system, and gave me good advice on how to proceed. The car was finished in less time than they estimated and returned to me much cleaner than I had brought it in.
The service department is not what it used to be. Let’s start with when you call the Audi Service Department number listed on the website, you go into a general queue and they ask you what department you need.They seem put off that you called. Then you usually end up in voicemail. But when you are in the shop, you see the service guys goofing around.They don’t advise and help you anymore. They respond to questions with standard answers instead of talking with you - sometimes it doesn’t even answer the question you asked. If you receive a settlement notice in the mail and ask them if a certain thing has been replaced, they hand you your service history.Talking to others as we were waiting for our cars, they’ve experienced a decline in service as well.Few of us like dealing with car service and want to feel that we can trust who we are working with. It doesn’t feel that way any longer.

I was not impressed with this location and gave my business to MAG, whom was much better and I recommend strongly after my experience at both of these locations. The sales associate at Audi Columbus that I spoke with never truly took me seriously because of my age. I asked him to make me an offer, and after several follow-up emails and calls he finally sent me the sticker price, which is not an offer in my opinion. He also barely went over any of the features of the model that I wanted. I spent a lot of time in the dealership just waiting around for him. He also sent his offer to the wrong person and was unwilling to forward it to me. I had to get that person to forward me the offer.One of my close friends also had this experience. He went to Audi Columbus in hopes of purchasing a used Audi A4. Because of his age, the sales staff refused to let him test drive the vehicle. He ended up walking out of the dealership and gave his business to MAG (whom had no issues letting him test drive it). I see no reason to visit this dealership and do not recommend going there. That is, unless youre looking to be treated like you are not a priority.

Snotty attitude from the sales staff. Refused to let me test drive anything. Basically assumed I couldnt afford the cars on their lot, which is an amazingly arrogant way to do business.Our clientele doesnt like miles on our new cars. We dont let you test drive unless you show us youre serious about buying first.I drove in with something faster and similarly priced to what I wanted to test, but Byers had no interest.I suggest taking your business elsewhere.Edit: Yes, the particular vehicle that I came in to look at was sold, which is understandable. I have no issues with that. However, I was not told I couldnt drive THAT vehicle. I was told I couldnt test drive *ANY* vehicle and that was your managements philosophy.
