Im truly disappointed with this place! Im new to riding motorcycles and bought my first bike mid march 2021. I went in to buy a helmet from Independent Motorsports about the same time. I bought a $168 matte black Z1R helmet with quick release feature. I used the helmet for the motorcycle ohio class training over a weekend, passed the test and got my license. I have only ridden my motorcycle a hand full of time due to ohio weather. But all of a sudden, less than a month later.... my helmet wont open. The quick release button is broken and the helmet was never dropped or damaged at all. So I go in and speak with Jared W. and after he looked at helmet AND AGREED IT SEEMED DEFECTIVE... he says the manager is out and come back on Friday. Well due to life happening i couldnt make it back Friday. So I go in monday and he says, sorry the managers actually out all week. So, I find it very annoying and completely absurd that I have to wait a week to swap out a defective helmet because no one in the entire store has the authority to take care of a customer issue with one of their products!?? WOW. Horrible customer service due to lack of training employees!

We had a horrible experience with another motorcycle dealer so we decided to go ch CK out independent motorsports. From the first minute we walked in we was treated with respect and answered all our questions we had. They Took us in room and we had my sons dirt bike paid for and it was ready for pick the next day. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know that needs and bikes or service.

I paid cash for a dirt bike for my grandkids$1500 to be exact. It is junk the muffler fell off then the front fender came loose. It rattles bad. So you might not want to buy anything from these crooks. Oh yes once you pay for it there isnt any warranty at all not even for 5 minutes5. I bought it almost one month ago.

The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had, we purchased a kids four-wheeler from them and will certainly be back for more. They made sure we knew how to operate it and helped us get it into the car. Paid $1,045 for it fully assembled. They also work on the vehicles they sell and are able to order replacement parts. I actually had to double check to make sure I was reviewing the right dealership, because my experience with Independent Motorsports was drastically different from the published reviews.Ive been riding/buying motorcycles for over 35 years and Ive never dealt with a sales teams that had such little for their customers. I was literally told that sale is all that matters when I found out they accepted a down payment from a local buyer because it was quicker and easier for them.I spoke to the sales manager who approved of the shady tactics used by his salesforce.Please take all reviews reviews with a grain of salt..... but be careful with these guys.

Great service and prices! Went in to get a feel of a Harley Davidson V-Rod in terms of actual weight and was very pleased; this was a 1250cc bike and a beautiful, well maintained bike. Fell in love with it’s sound. Went back 1st thing Monday morning and bought this bike.The only unfortunate issue was the key didn’t match the bike, but they tried very hard to reach to old owner to see if he had another set. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, were unable to get them. They arranged for a locksmith to meet me at the shop who made me new keys. Overall, I am very pleased with the process, bike, and service.I will do business again because of their trust and customer service. I am very grateful to Turner, Pam, and Mark who were all exceptional! Thank you!!!

I had work done on my Quad their about 3 years ago and they did an awesome job, but for the last year and half Ive tried to set up some service repair their and have been given me several different answers everytime of why they cant do it. Everything from they only had 1 mechanic or they are 6 months behind to now my Quad is to old to for them work on. Their employee actually recommended me to another shop. Im disappointed with Independent motorsports because I really thought they really did a good job after my first business interaction with them. I will most likely be taking my service and purchase needs and recommendation to others to go somewhere else.

Visited shop first time on Saturday, great selection of equipment, both road and off road. Had a thought on what we wanted to purchase prior to going to shop, felt no pressure to purchase, dealer was knowledgeable about the product we asked for, purchased a bike for our grand daughter, and was in and out of shop in a short period of time with bike purchased, serviced, and paperwork completed. We where happy with the transaction that we dropped a bike off for service with the service department.

Bought all my bikes from here friendly staff, knowledgeable and HONEST!!!! Came upon some hard times and had to sell my bike. Their honesty about the best way to sell my bike was actually to not sell it to them. However I needed money now and took their actual overly generous offer, for a bike that needed a lot work. Yes I’m customer and all business are here to make money but even money isn’t their most important thing. It’s trying to help a customer honestly and to the best of their ability. Can’t wait buy another bike from them when times are a little better. Customer for life. Great company basically family. Thanks again, a truly a satisfied customer.

Called in to see about parts. The guy didn’t seem interested in helping. Asked if they can get them. Says probably but will be week or so out. Still never looked to see if they could or nothing. Bought a lot of oils and stuff from here but they lost my business

Ray drives a hard bargain, wish I hadn’t lost my job and had to sale, had to save my credit. Other than that transactions went smoothly. I will inquire with him when I get back on my feet to seek another bike.

Brought rims with tires into the shop, waited a day and was charged more than I thought was fair. Not complaining, just seems like pricing in Columbus is much different from what I was used to in Cincinnati. Staff was busy, but not inattentive; I waited for probably 10 minutes at the parts counter before being helped. If laziness strikes me again, Ill bring more tires back to be mounted. Nothing negative, but, Ive had better experiences elsewhere.

Jimmy helped with my purchase of 2 ssr pit bikes. He gave me all the information i needed, showed me how to operated correctly, and showed he cared about making sure I was satisfied with my purchase. If anyone wants a bike, go see Jimmy. I never leave reviews but I had to show my appreciation. Joe(the hulk) in the shop is also a great guy and very helpful.

Let me just say the staff is great Pam and Justin took there time helping me get on my first Harley iv been to every motorcycle shop here in Columbus also a couple of of town no one I mean no one worked as hard as they did. So I say that u to independent Motorsports staff for taking your time and helping me.

I have an ATV can am and this place seems they are more about you buying a motorcycle than anything Also called and asked how much it would be to get tires installed on new rims No dismounts Only mounting 4 unmounted brand new tires onto brand new rims for my 4wheeler and they estimated $230 just for that Went to Walmart and paid $20 for the same thing. This place isnt the only dealership that over charges everything but its ridiculous.

I took my Harley here to see what they would offer me for it. Even though Ray, the owner, and I could not reach a deal he gave me some excellent selling tips. Thanks to his advice I sold my bike privately in just 2 days after my visit to Independent Motorsports. When Im ready to buy another bike I will be returning to see Ray and his fine staff.

Just recently purchased my first bike from independent. Extremely happy I did. Salesman Rod was very professional and knowledgeable. Answered every question I had. When the owner, Ray, delivered the bike to my house, he noticed the battery was a little weak. He gave me his personal battery jumper pack to borrow in case I needed it. Then he came back in a few days with a brand new battery and installed it free of charge. Answered every question I could throw at him. Very friendly and helpful. Independent motorsports is a professional, honest bike shop that isnt out to drain your pockets. I highly recommend them for anything you need from motorcycles to accessories. Bought an R6 from there a couple months back. The only thing I wished was better was a final inspection of the bike before it got pushed out because there were numerous things on the bike that were loose one of them being the oil filter. not a huge deal but having to put down over 1000 more than what the salesman and I agreed upon the day before youd think everything would have been in line. not to mention fighting with my lienholder because they slacked in paperwork. not the best but not the worst experience.

Great experience with the staff at Independent. I had a small issue that I didnt notice until I started riding. I stopped in and discussed the issue with them and they asked me to bring the bike in for them to see. Their techs confirmed what I was saying and they took care of it completely, didnt just patch the issue. I was very impressed as I had signed the AS-IS papers and they could have just left me hanging. Glad to work with people who value their reputation and do what is right.I did purchase the extended warranty, but this was a wear issue, not a covered issue. This is the second bike my family has purchased from them. I usually dont recommend people, but after my experience I sent 2 people, one selling his bike and another purchasing one. Both were very happy how well and fair they were treated. Thanks to everyone at Independent !

Great service and quick turnaround times on repairs. I towed my bike in not knowing what the problem was, then a day or so later Ray called and informed me my coils were the problem. I gave him the go to fix it and within the next few days I received another call saying my bike was done. It has been riding like new every since. Thanks for the great service and quality guys!

Independent Motorsports was a customer of mine (pallet racking) before I became one of theirs. My ATV needed some repairs and these guys were up to the task. Hard to find more knowledgeable staff, very professional and down-to-earth. They tuned me up and even recommended against the more costly repairs after asking how long I wanted to keep this one. Highly recommend this shop for any ATV & bike service and/or sales, since the people make the difference in this industry.

I have had these guys work on my bike multiple times and couldn’t be more pleased. There are multiple other bike shops much closer to me but I drive the extra distance because I trust these guys. They have gone out of their way to accommodate me on multiple occasions. Highly recommended!

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to buy a bike from this dealership. When they ask you about your riding experience make sure you let them know you came out of your mothers womb riding a cbr 1000rr on the back wheel. If you don’t they won’t sale to you.

Just purchased a kids 4 wheeler. Happy with the transaction and how everyone is polite. Want something cheap for your kids then Id say come buy one of these kids 4 wheelers. I know my kids will love it. I will as well dont have to double them anymore.

They are very rude and I took a bike I bought from them to put some velcro on it and it took a week then go to get it and it wont start mind you it ran when I took it there and this is a 9,000 bike then say no return.....Scamers dont buy from them

Went in yesterday to get a new chain and oil change on my Zx-10, Casey scheduled me for the next Monday but the chain came in today and Ray called me letting me know it was there. I asked if it would be possible to come in today to get it done instead of next Monday and they fit me in got it done. All the staff is very nice and very helping. Definitely a great place to get work done on your bike if you don’t feel like doing it yourself.

Larry, the tow truck driver, was very friendly. The owner, Ray, even personally assisted me with everything. Independent Motorsports ROCKS!
