Great company and very knowledgeable staff

We bought forklift a year ago. Our sales person was Wendel. We were talking about 5k lbs Toyota unit with about 1600 hrs on it and decided to go with it. After getting all the paperwork signed and arranging delivery to Florida (almost 1000miles) we had received the lift with around 4,200 hours on it!!! I called Wendell right away just to hear that paperwork states that it has 4200 hours on it. He lied about hours on the unit and also overcharged us by more that 3k since the miles were way higher. He said that he would ‘take care about all the services’ since we’ve got something that we didn’t want. We discovered oil leak, bad brakes, worn out bushings and bad seat sensor. He sent somebody from Mobile to address the issues but all we’ve got changed is the sensor and oil filter. I tried calling and texting him afterwards since the brakes were in terrible shape and lock up sometimes but never heard back from him. After calling southwest industrial I was informed that he’s no longer employed by them and I was told that manager would contact me soon. It didn’t seem that they really cared since no one ever contacted me. Lying about hours on the equipment is very serious. Here we are one year later with no fix or any action from southeast. I’m very disappointed and filing a complaint with BBB. Please stay away.

We bought a new Terex PT-110 Forestry less than a year ago. As of now it has only about 150 hours on it. It has had several problems and is now broken down in a customers yard. After a week and numerous phone calls, Southeast Industrial sent out a technician to review the codes. Now they say that it will taken another week to get a part from England. Meanwhile they have no loaner for us that we can use until ours gets fixed. Now we have to reschedule planned work during our busiest season. We are definitely an unsatisfied customer.
