This food lion is So clean and well stocked. I really only shop at FOODLION anyway. I went in not knowing what to expect for an interview. I was offered the position and I GLADLY ACCEPTED. The experience was warm inviting and informative. I recommend anyone looking for a career to check out food lion. Sam the manager and Shanta was exceptional and I and so pleased to be apart of the FOOD LION FAMILY 💞

This is a clean store. Employees were working and available if needed in most areas. The cashier who helped me was very nice. There were a few decent sales. Not very busy at all, which made parking and checkout easy. I looked for a few items I could not find, but they are new so that could explain it.A few issues I have seem to be chain wide. The deli bakery is small and does not have a ton of ready to eat items or fountain drinks available. No fresh seafood, difficulty finding help in the meat department if you need something cut. Most notably-- no courtesy clerks For a full service grocery store, this is a huge problem. I dont need help out, but the elderly or sick might. Assuming the lines are busy or there is a price check needed, the system is inefficient with the poor cashier having to do the job of at least two people. In addition, baggers going in and out make you feel safer, especially at night. Im sure this is a cost saving measure, but I wish the company would consider customer service more. It seems they want our money but want to do as little as possible to get it.

Store was dirty, their was rotten produce on the sbelves and the meat looked spoiled. I wont shop here.

Very clean, fresh produce, good fresh cut meat, and the staff is courteous and pleasant. Some things are a little pricey, but its worth it to get good service.

Nice enough. Not as well stocked as some Food Lions but staff are always kind & willing to help. I have to say there are always people inside the store & in the parking lot begging for money. They are aggressive & sometimes unfriendly. I try to help others but dont like being approached like that, especially multiple times.

I stopped by here to grab my kids some lunch ables, I also found some affordable sliced watermelon on the go, and them some juice. The line wasnt bad and the price was decent/affordable.

If you pay attention, a lot or the food is spoiled or moldy. Tried to get bread and after 10 minutes of trying to find one that didn’t have mold, opened it later to see it was starting to. I’d rather get it delivered from Walmart at this point

Always enjoy Food Lions managers specials! Lines are never too long and in case it is crowded they do am effective job on getting you in and out.

Everytime I visit this store the employees seem like they hate every moment they have to be there. Nobody likes to go to work, but that’s no excuse to be rude to customers.I went through the checkout that’s connected to the customer service line, 3 female employees were gossiping to themselves and not one of them greeted me in any way. One started to ring up my groceries, and didn’t bother to look up at me or ask for my ID for the wine I bought. The only words that were spoken to me was her mumbling the total. I paid, grabbed my groceries and left without waiting my receipt. I go to this store out of proximity but after today I’ll probably drive farther out just so I don’t have to experience the bad energy from the employees in your store.Ashleigh Hagood4/29/21

Tonight the grocery crew really showed grace and mercy. A homeless gentleman came in near closing time, the staff got him a tomato and one or two other vegetables, for him to have healthy food. They paid for it out of their own pockets. These were the young staff. It gave me hope in the future generations.

Always good prices and the shop and save will surprise you at the register when your total tallys to 0.00...whoop whoop!!

Weird...I went just after they opened. A man followed me through the store, approaching me in a far corner near the beer & wine. When I finally figured out he was asking for money, I realized that there really arent that many people in the store that early & definitely not a lot of employees.When I went to checkout, a young man motioned me to his lane. He started trying to login to his register, fails & walks away. TWICE. Finally, a very nice lady who was wiping carts came over, logged in the register & checked me out. It wasnt her job that day but was very kind to do so.

Clean, good quality inexpensive food items, and I love the security to keep the place safe.

This is the new food line and it is a clean store and they have pretty good Bargains in that store I like getting my corn for this year they have the best white corn and they had such a good sale on the corn this year too I was able to put some in the freezer and I like going to Food Lion for several items because they do have a good sale from time to time especially when youre budgeting your money Food Lion is the place to be

The little black dude that was working the register around 8 9 pm was so polite, personable & funny. The chick working at register 1...super friendly & the security guard was also helpful. Big change from dealing with Kroger on Forest drive! Little disappointed in thr manager that walked inside and looked directly at me while I was standing at the customer service counter ...trying ti purchase tobacco products...he was talking to the security guard and then walked away after he was done. He definitely should have helped me.. i stood there for 15 min. Thr people in the floor stocking produce frustrated me as well. On their phones, not paying attention. Seems to be a trend in Cola ... managers need to get on their associates with using their phones on the floor & helping people find stuff

Not fully stocked. Understand no one was wiping down the buggies like my regular food lion.

Good wings on wing bar if they arent too old. Had some ride service members behind deli counter before. But everyone isnt cut out for service.. or maybe they had something going on.. but many of the employees dont speak and just continue on with their convos as shoppers approach. The one closer to my house everyone smiles and speaks and offers help instantly. But I do like I have option of self check out, works out well when moving fast on lunch break. Getting in and out lot is horrid though.

Food Lion is a grocery that can provide one with all the essentials in food. Food Lion has all the national name brands as well as its own brand of products. For some of the more esoteric and gourmet type food, Food Lion does not provide. Food Lion is an exceptional basic grocery store. The Five-Points branch offers an indispensable modestly priced full grocery store for its urban neighborhood.

I nearly always ship at Food Lion. The people are usually friendly and helpful. I usually find whatever I need.

Everyone is very friendly. They go way out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. The store is handicapped friendly. If you return an item it is hassle free. The prices are are good also. I enjoy going there if it is just for a few items or a lot. Pleasant place to shop. ❤ going there.

I shop at Food Lion a lot. They have anIn house bakery, fresh sliced meats and cheeses. They also do rotersery chicken and fried chicken.Always fresh at lunch time. They sell lottery tickets and Beer & Wine. I get good rewards with Food Lion awards card. O yes 1 Great thing... If add says 2 for x amt. of $, you can buy only 1 and get sale pricewith the awards card.

Checkout is always a hassle. I drive an extra 10 minutes to go to Kroger instead.

Very rude Customer Service Station. For 3 employees standing behind the counter not one could assist me in getting a money order because close at 9pm and I asked at 9:01 . Like really if they would have greeted me when I walked up I would have been on time. Unprofessional. This location is run down with homeless people anyways, wont be returning unless as a last resort.

Parking lot on the small side. Limited beer selection. Prices are low. Convenient for me because i live nearby. Cheaper than the Publix which is equidistant. There is also a pet store next door to do your dogs shopping as well. My mother says the people there are nice however its a low bar because she is from Boston.

Friendly always have what I need

Does anybody inspect inspect this place? 2 of the 4 gallons of milk we bought here in the last month went rancid well before the expiration date, one was bad the day we bought it. We defrosted a turkey roll we bought last week and had frozen the whole time and it smelled rotten. Never had these experiences at any other grocery store.

Best manager of any grocery store anywhere! Does not have a wide selection of organic goods, but they have started carrying some. The deli could use a wider selection of meat and cheese. Unfortunately, deli personnel tend to leave early as they want, making evening deli shopping often impossible. Though manager has said deli is open to 9p, deli staff will close down sometimes at 8p, and argue about closing time. Otherwise, good prices and most of the staples needed.

I go here almost every day for coffee... I will say I stopped shopping here for my actual groceries because unless you happen to get a decent parking spot you’ll have to leave your groceries unattended by the door to go get your car... the wheels on the carts lock before you even get to the third parking spot..

Clean, and generally well-stocked. The cheeses and import meats are surprisingly varied and curated. Havent encountered anything other than polite employees, too.

Large neighborhood grocery store with bakery and meat depts. Good selection of brands. Reasonable prices. In a strip mall with Office Depot, Pet Supplies +, a nail salon, and a bicycle shop. Bank Of America kiosk in parking lot. Waffle House across the street.

Low traffic only 10 customers in the whole store!

Pleasant, affordable. I was in at lunchtime so not too busy or crowded. Good quality, fresh produce. the floors in store were clean, aisles not obstructed and I walked almost every aisle with exception to soaps. Decent meats though limited selections. Meat guy- wish Id gotten his name-who was stocking spoke to me and also took my package to rewrap it without my noticing it was loose. A little thing but tells me he takes pride in his job, also he found a marked down bacon I didnt even know I was looking for. Produce associate pleasant as well, seemed on top of rotating produce. When I couldnt find price of item he offered to check price and remake sign which had fallen. Nice he attended to it instead of ignoring it or forgetting. Tidy produce layout, in baskets so varied produce does not spill over and get mixed or bruised. Looks nice which prompted to me shop for much more produce than I had planned to. Cashiers were pleasant. I noticed a recycling center at doorway/entrance, another nice touch. I did check out ladies room to add to review, was clean and well stocked. Grocery prices seem standard for Food Lion. Carts were neatly aligned and were clean. Parking seemed substantial and appears to have ample lighting due to number of poles but, I will update this review if I find otherwise at dark. Good location and easy to get to from Providence Hospital area.

I love that they have a different vegetables supplier. I can always get fresh mustard greens and radishes, and 2 sizes (and 2 prices) of chicken.

Staff are friendly and helpful during my numerous visits.The new remodeling of the Harden Street Store is great!

I have never had an issue with WIC at a Food Lion til today! They wanted to disagree with the milk I was getting. I kept telling them that I can make a whole gallon with 2 half gallons of Lactose Free Milk. I cant drink the regular milk. That is what was issued on my benefits. I have always for the past 4 months done this at Food Lion in Hopkins, Lexington & W.Columbia. Even at Bi-Lo. They wanted to disagree with what I was getting. Stated it wasnt their problem & it has to be the card even tho I have never used those WIC checks before. Ive only had the WIC card. The staff here & their systems need to be checked. This wasted 30mins of my time & others. Will never come back to this particular Food Lion.

Rude cashier, but otherwise ok

Many staff did not have masks on. Some had mask but had them down around their chin. Some customers had mask looped on one ear, but took it off to talk to the person at register who didn’t have mask on! And we are under ordinance to wear masks!

Decent store....slightly more friendly than a year ago. Prices are competitive...mostly, the surly cashiers are the hardest part of time there. An irritant but not a deal-breaker.
