The new way we get food now is alot better. When we received already boxed food items, as a person with type 2 diabetes, I was unable to eat many of the items, packed in the boxes.

Its great helping people out. No complaints really. Facility is cleaned up and more organized. But when a family of 10(mine) comes in and we get a rock solid turkey and 1 eight pack of hot dogs come now. Im grateful for it and what I got. But 4 days to thaw the turkey? And 8 hot dogs? I took the turkey back in and on my way Shawn came out with a bag of chicken legs and 5lbs of hamburger. I didnt complain. I simple asked, if that was appropriate? To ensure my big family was getting its ration! As I had seen others get more before me with less members. So, no complaint! But maybe make sure families are getting adequate amount of essential meats. Thank you Food Bank! Sincerely!

Great place to go when times are hard and your in need of food.

The dedicated staff are wonderful people and anyone that can give in this time of need please do so. I have been raising and bringing as much fresh produce as I can to help out this season.

In the last few months its changed. Not much food. Mostly beans more beans and beans you never heard of. Food pantry or is it a soup kitchen ? Thank goodness stores donate vegtables otherwise it would be empty. It was one of the best now its one of the WORST. When same items on shelves for 3 months that should say something.

This place is poorly ran! There is no way in h$#& that people should be walking around with shopping carts as if this is a grocery store! This is not a grocery store this is a food bank. And I’m talking about ten or more people walking around with shopping carts in this little small facility! So if you are in a wheelchair, you will be stuck in traffic trying to maneuver around all these shopping carts. Also the produce is rotten. And they never have nothing to drink. It’s a good place to go if you have a sweet tooth or need some bread or if you want some rotten produce. Also, next time I go, (if I ever go back) I’ll be sure to wipe my face down. Because everyone just stares as if there is something on my face that should not be.

A great place with an excellent staff that is helpful, courteous, and treat you with respect. Respect, that is very important. Also has a good selection of available items that does help stretch your food budget. Thank-You to all involved with helping the community.

I cant believe I never came here sooner. The staff makes you feel welcome, and the food is surprisingly fresh and good! Protip: come in the middle of the month to beat the crowd, and you will be in and out in 20 minutes or less! Expect your first visit to take a little longer though.

Went there to shop for the month. They have really changed how they do things these days. Things look much much better then before. Its much cleaner and the run a different system now that make things run a whole lot smoother. U can b happy about going now with a 😃 on your face.

Staff works very hard to provide for many people. There is always a variety of boxed and canned goods and sometimes kitchen or personal hygiene products. They offer excellent seasonal produce and variety of dairy products. This place is a huge blessing and very much appreciated!!!

Wait time was horrendous due to Corona but they give out a huge amount of foodstuffs.

Its open, but they do need better and more nutrition and freasher .A grown man cant live on the amount of protein they give for one person .

The Central Pantry feeds a large group of Columbia residents. I appreciated their help when I needed it and I volunteer my time and money to help the central pantry and the food bank to give back.

I am very thankful that I have this place as a resource. Being a disabled Veteran, it helps out so much! I cant eat canned foods, so being able to get the fresh vetables and fruit really help with sticking to my heart diet. Thank you. ( disappointed when the fruit is molded sometimes tho.)Thank you to all that volunteer and work there. I appreciate it so much!

Yes, you have to wait for your number to be called. No not normally do they have a lot to offer but it does help cut down on using food stamps/money to get food for your family. I also seen in January 2018 they will no longer be open on Mondays. Dont know why, just know thats what the note said last time I was there. Isnt a bad place to get food, but,like I said, not always do they have a lot to offer. You have to get as much as they say you can, (theres paper that says how much you can get per item, per family, etc.) Good place for food.

Have went with a friend and the kids and we are lucky to have this facility in our community.The positive goodwill shared by this place is humbling and heartwarming to see.

Every time I go there the shelves are stocked wit the same useless item....no variety. The produce is nearly rotten. Its a shame that they cant get better quality and variety food items for a population that needs healthier food choices

Great place for those in need

As a person with disabilities and lower-income the Central Food Pantry has been a huge help to our family.Not only do we partake with the monthly assistance for food from the food pantry but my family does try to help give that to the food pantry through local food drives with our church. And when you are in need and do not qualify for any other type of financial public assistance in regards to feeding your family this place is vital to the local community.Unfortunately the parking is a little Dreadful in that it is on a downward slope and how does a person with disabilities is difficult to manage a cart with groceries and not have it be a runaway cart as youre trying to get it to your . Its more of a safety issue really for myself and other drivers coming in and out of the parking lot. other inconvenience I would register is the take a number and register in one at a time to go to the food pantry to obtain your groceries and only because there is only one person that checks people in and the wait time can be a little horrendous when you have other obligations that have to be fulfilled as well.

Ive never been inside cause I dont qualify, but take my brother here once a month to stock up on food & essentials. What they have is usually donated by area stores and restaurants that they cant sell. What dairy and produce they provide is near the expiration date.

I normally have a good experience at the pantry. However there is none person who works there that does not like their job and it shows. To me it seems they would be happier moving on to some where else.

Lovely staff, food is standard, and decent for the most part. However, a lot of the food tends to be expired, and quality is compromised being past its sell by date, is stale. Produce like tomatoes and peppers, potatoes, strawberries offered can at times, be rotten, moldy, and stinky! Many times the food is quite good, just be on the lookout for deteriorated and expired foods.

It was busy but things moved quickly and there was a good selection.
