Great experience overall. Got me in an out quickly and efficiently. Darnell is a one of a kind employee. He does the job with great enthusiasm. If there was an Olympics event for MyEyeDr associates I would be proud knowing he would be representing our country. Not only did I leave with contacts and a pair of sunglasses, but left knowing that I would be honored to name my first born Darnell. 10/10 from Darnell and the staff. I would say I’m looking forward to working with him in the future but I fully expect him to be promoted up to an executive position by this time next year.
Weve been coming here for about three years and we always have a nice experience. My little girl is very particular about her glasses. The ladies working were so patient with her. They went out of their way to help her find the perfect pair. They even gave my boys a pair of sunglasses so they werent left out. Very good with kids. 5 stars!
I had a very good experience with Allie today, she offered excellent customer service to me and even the customer before me. She assisted, listened to me needs, helped to get the right frames. And I was happy buying two frames and lenses. It costed me more but I was happy spending the money because of her value add to my day. Thanks Allie. Pls keep up the good work. I’ve never had a problem coming to my eye dr I’m Columbia. Not sure why it’s rated poorly. I was here a few weeks ago and I was seen with 0 wait time. After that, they gave me my prescription and asked if I’d like to purchase glasses. I said no and that I just wanted the prescription and they didn’t try to push any sales on me.
I went to a different location originally and unfortunately had a bad experience. The general manager agreed to bring me to the Columbia location to help me. I received excellent service from beginning to end. All of my concerns were addressed and I felt very welcome at this store. The doctor really went above and beyond to get to the bottom of my concerns. Highly recommend the Columbia location. Thank you!
By far the best experience for my annual eye exam! The staff was knowledgeable and super friendly! Mr. Darnell came out and made sure I was informed and happy with everything. Great options and great prices!

I had a very pleasant experience. I was greeted at the door with a new mask and hand sanitizing procedure before even crossing past the threshold, setting my Covid jitters at ease.The exam was efficient and all the staff was very friendly with a nice bedside manner.When I picked out my frames, I was a bit hesitant because it’s hard to see how they look on you wearing a mask! I also wanted to be in and out so I picked a pair they was probably not the best choice for me. I didn’t realize this until after I got the glasses back. They were uncomfortable, pinched my temples and I didn’t like the way I looked with them on, without the mask.The team at the store was so helpful on helping me find a solution to this problem! I was able to find a better suited pair and they worked with me every step of the way to ensure my needs were met and I was comfortable in my new glasses. I was very impressed!This was great customer service

This place use to be a good place to get glasses done, and the doctors were great. But I will never go back there ever again the service is horrible. It took pver a month to get glasses made, and they were supposed to text or email when they were ready. But of course they never did, and I had to call them repeatedly. Because no one ever seems to pick up the phone. I would give them no stars if I could. I will avoid all Myeyedr from now on, since this seems the way they do business.

I wish I could give no star!!! This was the worst experience I ever had!! They changed my script.. said they ordered new contacts. Then only tried to give me two pair after my insurance company pairs for it! I had one of the employees hang up on me! They kept saying that they reordered them every time I came to pick them up they are so confused never can find them..!! Horrible place, unorganized, staff undertrained, very unprofessional.. do not come here!

Unfortunately I have to change my five star, glowing review (below), which I gave after my son and I had three pairs of perfectly made glasses at this store. After having such a positive experience, we ordered backup glasses. They both came back defective. Mine was scratched, and my sons had the wrong prescription. The mistakes were fortunately caught by the store (that time), and they notified me of the mistake, and the glasses were sent back to be remade. No problem - Im tolerant, the glasses were ordered before the holidays, mistakes happen. When the glasses came back, however, my sons were fine, but now mine had the wrong prescription! The manager showed me the lab print out, which literally didnt match what they had on file. As an aside, I dont know why this wasnt caught by the store before I went to pick them up. So my glasses were sent back for a second time. I went to pick them up yesterday, six weeks after ordering them, and unbelievably the prescription was wrong AGAIN. I brought the pair that I had bought *at this store* that were perfect, just to be sure, and the prescription was totally off - too blurry to wear. Another wasted trip and six weeks of waiting with no glasses. I was issued a refund. Mistakes happen, but this is ridiculous. Owner - you might want to consider going with a different lab if you want to stay in business.Previous review:After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to go with this place, but it was the only eye care store that would make executive bifocals. my specialty glasses turned out to be absolutely perfect. I had a second pair of computer glasses made for myself and took my 16 year old son here to get glasses with his new prescription. Both sets turned out to be perfect and literally half the price of Lenscrafters and Vision Works. The only downside was having to wait 1-2 weeks for the glasses to be made but saving hundreds of dollars was worth it. The ladies I worked with both times could not have been nicer. This place is great, and well be back as regular customers.

I had a positive experience with my visit to this location. Dr. Shin was fabulous and the customer service manager Jessica was a delight to work with for my contacts. They came in within a week which was great since I was down to one weeks supply. Highly recommend.
I waited nearly a month to receive 1 pair of glasses only to find out that the lab did not tint them as I requested. Now they have to send them back which will be another three weeks. I have never waited this long to receive glasses, but if you do have to wait this long, get it right! I should have known by the numerous poor reviews not to deal with this company.
Horrific customer service. I ordered contacts through them and they charged my credit card immediately. After two weeks of not receiving my contacts, I called to check the status. They gave me the run-around then finally told me the contacts were on back order and I’d have to wait another week. I asked them to cancel and refund me. Even though I paid via credit card, they said I’d have to wait 14 business days for a check to be sent to my home address. I just called the Corporate Office as it has been 21 business days and guess what - they missed a step, and I have to wait another two weeks to receive the refund check. Its been over a month now. I thought only this location was bad, but it seems like they truly lack customer service skills at all levels. Save yourself the hassle - and your money. Dont go here.ALSO - their response to this review below - I did reach out twice, and never heard back from Patient Relations.
Very inconsistent. Had to reschedule a yearly eye exam several times with no apologies. Workers act as if everything is at the fault of the customer.
The customer service here is so awful. But the ophthalmologist are so nice and friendly. The last time I went to this location to get contacts and glasses I could barely get any assistance picking out glasses the attendant handed me the keys to open the glasses case as she sat on her phone. It took over 4 weeks for my contacts to come in and I only they were ordered because I called and asked were they in yet. I will not be returning to this location for my next exam.

The doctor exam my son was wonderful and very patient! but the staff was rude when i told them i would come back to buy my sons glasses try to get me to buy anything or put money down. Also asked for my sons prescription made me feel like i wasted the paper just for a print out . Just because we got our eye exam there doesn’t me we have to buy classes from . Ugh . Will not be doing any business here .P s no need for a resolution.
I dont usually take the time to write these, but I needed to express my dissatisfaction.Two stars is what this location deserves. The initial meeting went smoothly. Everything was fine right up until the day I picked up my new glasses.The first thing I noticed was the frames were wrong. Right style. Wrong color. So thats already another 2+ week wait just so I can have the correct glasses. They had no problems taking my $400 but cant even process the order correctly.The second thing I noticed was the markings on the lenses themselves. These markings look laser-etched, and Ive never seen numbers imprinted into lenses. So I call and ask. Oh, we wouldnt know without seeing them. So I read the numbers to Karen. She repeats about how they dont know. Well, what do you know? Because you didnt know to get the order right to begin with. Are you even qualified to do your job?Going here to get these glasses ordered was my mistake because I read these reviews before choosing them.I hope future customers heed the bad reviews regarding this location. Save them some time, money, and frustration.
Amazing customer service! Id tried this store when it first opened and had a horrible experience, yet the change that has taken place is radical. I very highly recommend this store to anyone. Jessica helped picked out the perfect frames for both myself and child. The manager was so kind in helping make adjustments, printing out prescriptions, helping fill out insurance claim forms. Love this MyEyeDr store!Update 12/18/18: Once again, I was completely blown away by the customer service at this store. Ive had to have my glasses remade twice in the 30 day love your glasses guarantee. Each time the Manager has been very understanding and kind. The service has been friendly and quick. Cant recommend this place enough!
I am beyond disgusted on the treatment I have been receiving thus far with this location. I came in on a Sunday and sat there for one hour for my appointment only to be told at the optometrist forgot to come!? And then, I came in there today my appointment was scheduled for 4 PM I called at 10 AM to and asked the person if I could be 10 minutes late and she told me that would be fine. I arrived 10 minutes late and stood in line because there was somebody ahead of me so when I got to the girl to check in, she is very rude, tells me I’m 20 minutes late! I told her no I was not, she told me you’re late the optometrist left and I told her that I called at 10 AM to let them know I would be 10 minutes late and I was told by the girl that I would be OK so she made me reschedule once again!! If I could give a -0 rating I would.

I visited and was seen by Dr. Schwartz. He was fantastic very professional but sadly the follow up to properly receive my contacts is non existent. The visit seemed like a cattle call but I wrote it off as a busy day. I think my first impressions were accurate. I had to follow up multiple times on my contacts. First they said they needed to check with the Dr. and he was only their on Mondays. What, you cant call him? Then they said they were going to reorder the contacts. OK-what happened to the first order? Now today I called again It is now 6 weeks from my visit. They said my contacts are there. We will see.
Terrible experience. My initial screening went great. The optometrist was amazing and very throrough on her exam and explanation. It was all down hill from there. The lady who helped me once I had my prescription was terrible. She was rude and impatient and seemed to get an attitude when I told her I would be ordering glasses online to save money. I ordered a 1 year supply of contacts which is supposed to come with a free pair of sunglasses, free shipping to my home, and a mail in rebate. She offered none of these items. When I asked for them, she seemed more annoyed.I explicitly asked for my prescriptions so I could order my glasses online. When I checked my bag on my way home, it was not there. I had to call 4 times the next day to finally have it emailed to me.I received notification a few days later that my contacts were ready to be picked up. I called to explain that they were supposed to be shipped and the young lady said that they were, there was just a mixup and I should have them in a few days. They never came. I called over 2 weeks later, and the same young lady said that they were at the office to be picked up. I explained again that the contacts were supposed to deliver to my home. She apologized and said she would overnight them. I am waiting for them to arrive.The doctors here are amazing. Everyone else I experienced were not. They are not properly trained, forgetful, and in one ladys case rude. I will be seeking another eye doctor moving forward.
The front desk is atrocious! I’ll mannered and rude. There is never a please or thank and never a pleasant manner for ending calls. It is abundantly clear that the reception is frosty, they’re Day was interrupted by your call and they simply hang up instead of ‘have I answered all your questions?’ Or ‘thank you for calling and we look forward to seeing you again soon’! Customer service is truly important especially if you’d like to retain repay customers. But then maybe that’s My Eye Doctor’s goal rapid turnover and no repeat customers. Awful behavior!
Absolutely horrendous customer service and pushy sales people. They expect you to buy their overpriced products and if you refuse or ask any questions, they become agitated.As for these follow-up messages to these negative reviews by My Eye Dr., nothing but lip service as they have done absolutely nothing to correct the attitude of their employees and continue to employee the same rude people.If you sincerely want to improve, start by firing the extremely rude and lazy associates.UPDATE: A representative from MyEyeDr. did call me about the poor review that I posted. Perhaps the call was well intended, but absolutely nothing is being done at the store level to rectify the poor attitudes and pushy sales people. I visited this store once and was greeted with a pushy and rude sales rep. A couple of years passed and I thought I would give the store another shot (they took my insurance, were close to my house and it was easy to get an appointment - why not give it another try?) Big mistake. I got the same pushy rude sales rep that I had from before who seemed agitated that I did not want to buy glasses. She was even more agitated that I did not wish to buy a years supply of contact lenses. I explained that I already had glasses, that it made more sense to buy 6 months now and another 6 months in January when my insurance provided additional funds, but she kept pushing like a used car salesman. It got so bad that I ended up yelling at her and walked out without buying a thing from them.Do yourself a favor, stay far away from this establishment. Everything is overpriced and they are pushy and rude. Dont be fooled by the polite responses from the owner apologizing for the poor service - they have been this way for years and it doesnt appear that there is any real desire to change.
Exam went fine. Then sales rep at table was extremely condescending. When I asked about bifocals or progressive lenses she stated Well theyre like over $300. I make 6 figures but felt like Julia Roberts in the dress shop that didnt want her business in Pretty Woman. I left, called, complained, and said I wouldnt be back. 5 minutes later they called back, not to apologize, but say I still owe $37 .Unbelievable!
The General Manager, Mr. J. F. was very humble, friendly and professional. I was unhappy with my previous experience and glasses I ordered from another location a year ago. Having come across the General manager, he made my experience a very memorable one. He started by setting my appointment, and he was very patient and professional while I decide which frames to choose. He thoroughly explained every bit of the process. I was so happy that I purchased 2 glasses...regular and sunglasses. This company should be proud to have Mr. J.F. as an asset. I will recommend this location especially because of him.

I visited this location on a Thursday evening. I called a few days in advance and made an appointment for 6:15 pm. When I arrived for my appointment the woman told me that I was scheduled for 12:00pm. Luckily they were able to fit me in but they were very rushed. Dr. Chung is so sweet so it is hard to have a bad attitude. The exam was fine and I was able to stick with the same prescription. Dr. Chung offered a lot of great advice. After my exam I ordered my contacts and was told they would be shipped to my house in a few days. It has been 3 weeks and I still do not have my lenses so I called the location. I was told they were shipped to the store and that they are going to ship them UPS to my house right away. I am confused as to why they didnt call me when they arrived in the store even though they were supposed to come to my house. Anyways this location seems slightly unorganized and possibly needs some more experienced workers on the front desk.
The lady I was dealing with was rude and was not very helpful at all. While I waited for something to get checked she answered the phone and started shouting a customer on the phone. Ive never heard or seen someone in customer service act like that. I wasnt getting an eye exam but the people that were getting checked were told that the doctor was running late and they had to wait.Aisde from the 3 employees that were all helping multiple customers at once, a very rude employee helping me, and the doctor running late...The layout here is absolutely horrible. The two rows with computers take up most of the store and it can be hard to look at the frames on the wall with other customers in the store. When I was looking at lenses other people were running into me when getting past because how cramped it is.Organization in the store is nonexistent. All of the frames on the wall are organized in such a way like there was an earthquake and they frantically threw them on the wall in any order. It was very hard to find frames from the same company to compare.I wont be returning here and I recommend you dont come here either.
Point of Light. Justin (I believe that was his name) is tops in customer service. Yesterday, not only was he handling my needs, but those of three other customers, single-handedly. I think there should have been more people available to help on a busy weekend day, but you could tell he really enjoyed helping people get what they needed. Kudos to him. My overall experience with this business is better than average. However I still long for the days when your glasses would be fitted and ordered custom to your measurements.
I agree with the previous post the doctor is great. But the lady who helped me was nice day one go back less then a week later and glasses you pick out are no longer there. The associate was so unprofessional

It seemed cool at first I had an appointment they took me in right away but I should have suspected something when the plastic glasses that she gave me to look through were smudged and dirty. I got fitted for contact lenses. I wore sample lenses home. After just a few hours I ended up with red and pink eyes that looks and feels like an infection. Chances are theyre not very clean now I have to go back today to see what the problem is.
The first time there I had no issues, but this time it took them two weeks to get my first pair done, and it was a wrong formula, they made it for a long distance after I told the doctor I only use them for reading. After leaving my glasses to be redone, the technician was out for about 5 days. Overall I have been without glasses for about 6 weeks, counting the 3 weeks that I had to use my glasses with the wrong formula. If you wear glasses, you know that 6 weeks without them is way to long. The staff is friendly but that does not make up for weeks of waiting for a pair of glasses that they screw up in the first place.
Terrible customer service! My wife and i had appointments today and was told that the 1:00 appointment would be cancelled because there is a 10 min grace period. The problem is it was 1:11 and instead of checking with the doctor or manager she just nonchalantly told us we cant. We are talking 1 minute!!! As a consumer this is not a place to business with, if you are seeking good customer service.
Great Customer service. Great Selection of frames. I like the machine that is used to view your eyes, best alternative to having drops placed in your eyes dilated.
Me being a person who doesnt like anything to touch these eyeballs, not even water. I can honestly say the whole staff at this particular MyEyeDr was incredible. I will continue to go there for all of my eye care needs. Each individual knew their jobs, and they explained w/ ease each procedure needed.
This is the worst location I have ever visited. The staff is rude and customer is non-existent from the entry level up the chain to the manager. I have request that my prescription be faxed to another location on 3 separate occasions. The Rx was neve4 faxed. The reason I had to get glasses else where is that the fitting was so poorly done.If I could get give this locations zero I would. I have been to other locations and never have I been treated so poorly. They did not even offer a bag for my purchase.....I had to ask!!!!!!NEVER SERVICE THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!
Not really feeling this place. Not sure why but because of my insurance I have to wait a whole month before actually getting my glasses. I have a very hard time seeing especially at night. Then for whatever reason when I believe its time for me to pick up my glasses I call they same something wasnt ordered correctly so I have to wait another two weeks. I waited about three weeks and I just called and they STILL arent ready I have to wait until September 15 for my glasses. Getting glasses has never been this stressful for me.
I scheduled a visit yesterday because I wanted an eye exam. I called ahead of time to let them know I would be late 5-10 minutes due to a snow storm. I came in one minute later than expected (11 minutes), attendant asked me to take a seat, I was sent to the pretesting area and waited. Eventually they came back and said I cant have an eye appointment because I was a minute past the late period. It only leads me to believe the doctor looked at me and felt I was not worth their time. Ill gladly go some where else.

I went in with my sister today to get new glasses and contacts. I had been a patient at this my eye doctor for a few years. I went in for my exam and turns out that the reason I had been having headaches for two years since my last pair of glasses they gave me was because Dr. Chung didnt prescribe me progressive lenses that Ive had all my life. Today I reminded the doctor half way through the exam-he had no idea I needed these either until I mentioned it again. I guess that explains the headaches. My advice-go to an actual eye doctor who cares and is thorough on taking your history before jumping into the exam. Also make sure they test all aspects of your vision!!! Still in shock. However, the nice man at the glasses fitting desk WAS SO AMAZING and patiently helped us pick out our new frames. You rock!
They were very efficient and professional. They were able to make my new prescription lenses and put them into my existing frames in an hour, which I was very grateful for.They charge a fee if you want a copy of your glasses measurement, but perhaps this is a fairly standard practice to encourage people to buy from the same store they have their appointments, Im not sure. (You can get a copy of your prescription for free, just not the glasses measurement.) They also charged me for glasses insurance without informing or asking me, which Im pretty sure is not a standard thing.I felt fairly pressured to buy from them, which is the main reason I will most likely try another doctor in the future.
The staff here is so nice and patient. The eye doctor is excellent, and the people behind the counter and facilitating contact and glasses sales are all wonderful at customer service. I broke a piece of glass there and everyone was supremely nice. My one comment is the MyEyeDr doesnt provide this location with any resources...the computers seem to be from the late 90s, the space/chairs is limited during busy hours. Overall the operation is unnecessarily slow and could easily be sped up with new computers etc. I feel bad the staff has to deal with outdated technology, give your branch some resources, MyEyeDr!

Well the eye exam was RUSH by the docor . They did no dilated my eyes. They told me I need glasses and rush me to counter to purchase. I had my doubts since everything was too quick. So I went back told them why doctor did not dilated my eyes to check properly. They sent me to laurel to be re-evaluate by the same doctor. He acted like he was doing me a favor. Very sarcastic and rude. Still he said I need glasses. At the end I paid 200 dollars. Still I was not sure! It seems that he did not want accept he made a mistake so I WENT TO AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST. HE TOOK HIS TIME ASK ME QUESTIONS AND TOLD ME THAT I DONT NEED GLASSES. VISION WAS GOOD. AT THE END I WASTE 200 DOLLARS FOR NOTHING a bad eye exam and glasses I wont need......... someone called a month ago amd Im still waiting for them to call me to make a re-check appointment....
Not impressed at all. I got the impression they were just trying to push me thru the process as quickly as possible so they could go on to the next sale. The eye exam lasted less than two minutes. As soon as Centre Park Eye Care in Columbia, MD can accept my new insurance plan Im going back there. I cannot recommend.
Great service. got in and out in about an hour on a Sunday afternoon. Got my exam, saw the doctor and got my prescription filled for contacts. Then, the assistant manager order my contacts, briefly went over the price on new glasses and gave me a bag of new lens cases, lens solution and a pair of sunglasses.On top of that, I was an idiot and forgot my insurance card at home, Cindy (the asst manager who helped me) dug through the file of my previous visit and found my insurance information for me. 5 minutes for her and saved me a couple hundred dollars.
My daughter and I were running late due to a flat tire. Arrived 11 minutes after start time and they refused to see her. I can respect appointment times but there was no warning in their online appointment system, not in the reminders that appointments 10 minutes late would not be honoured. I wouldnt have bothered continuing on the the store, we would have just headed home. They also didnt handle it well at all. It was like, too bad. Made an appointment at the vision works close by and they at least were professional and courteous at the time.
I had some trouble with my prescription and the my eye dr customer service people were very professional and fast about getting back to me and addressing my concerns. I felt like they were really concerned with customer service and that is a great attribute for a company. Thank you very much!
The only reason that I ever went to this place was Dr. Goldstein (was a former patient). Did not have very good experience with most of the staff, but was willing to put op with it to see Dr. G who had always taken great care of me! Unfortunately, he has recently permanently retired so I will be looking for somewhere else to seek eye care! What a terrible loss, but happy for him - just will not return to My Eye Dr!
This money grubbing establishment will do anything to get extra money out of you. They lie about product availability to get you in there store and then they gauge the heck out of you. EVERYTHING is extra. It costs to breathe air in their presence. Do not go to this rip-off business. Customer Service? NOT!
Unprofessional and in inexperience workers .The person told my wife that her insurance covers the eye exam and portion of her glassES. My had the glaucoma test done.While sitting in the chair /My wife almost fell due to a mat not being underneath the chair.The young lady that did the exam .Thought it was comical. Which not having a mat under a chair which has wheels on it.Place of business is a hazard.My wife got rushed in the office .no, dilation of her eyes.The Asian Dr. examined my wife.We get out in the lobby to order the glasses .Also. had a coupon to get discount on the glasses . The disabled worker told my wife, That she could not get the glasses .that she picked out.My wife asked her which one were included in the 100 off deal (never showed my wife the glasses pertaining to the coupon.The worker wanted 99 for the exam and the glaucoma test.My wife told her the insurance covers the cost. The worker tried to argue with my wife.Demanding the 99 dollars . Supervisor told her to let it go.When we call the insurance company.My wife exam was covered and the glasses were covered.When my wife went back to get the prescription for the glasses.Went to order the glasses from another retail store in the area.The prescription did not match.Be aware of these people. I would not take anyone to this place.IF THEY HAD A PLACE FOR NO STARS PLACE WILL BE NO STARS
Terrible customer service once you are out of there. Fast eye exam, friendly. Ordered new pair of glasses, never received a phone call or email regarding damaged frame that it had returned to the lab tech. When called in to find out of the status, associate doesnt really know what happening, and that they will call you when the frames are done. Approaching 1 month. Called again to find out on the status, associate named Cindy tells me completion date is august 8, and that i should have seen it on receipt when first ordered. After correcting her that original receipt says 23rd of july, never receiving a single phone call or email, cindy then provided such a terrible customer service to not feel embarrassed that she doesnt know how things work there. Terrible service. Does bot take ownership of mistakes nor tries to fix the problem. I think they are forgetting about customer service. When i receive my glasses, most likely will stop using myeyedoctor in general. Two straight bad customer service over the phone to lose a client of 7 years. Smh.

Had a great experience at this location. The whole process took an hour tops. The staff made suggestions, but was not pushy - which I find such a relief as many locations are not like that.Javier assisted me in finding new frames, and was incredibly helpful. Really happy with the frames I ended up with!My only complaint was when I went in to pick up my frames with the new lenses they were damaged - but the staff inspected them before I left and noticed the damage. A new pair was ordered and right away at no cost to me.The wait was an inconvenience, but their superb service is why Im giving them a 5/5.
Dr. Theresa Shin Chung is unprofessional! She zips through your eye exam as if to say you are a problem. Then she rushes you straight to the customer service desk to purchase well OVERPRICED low quality eye glasses. Run like Forest Gump! It’s not worth it!
Awful experience. Gave me wrong contact prescription. They would not refund because box was open even though they gave wrong lenses. Same day made me wait for 3 hours to get me an exam because my branded lenses were not in stock. No urgency, awful place. Avoid, much better places out there. Worst experience ever, could care less about customer.
You Decide:I had my first appointment today, but due to work obligation, arrived 12 minutes late. Staff was nice and asked Dr. Li who said I need to reschedule. It is my fault for being late and the next appointment was not there yet. Some may applause this as keeping the wait down, others as restrictive so you decide.
I would give this MyEyeDr location 5+ stars! When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist (Jess?) was very pleasant and helpful with my insurance questions. It was easy to schedule an appointment and I LOVE that they sent text confirmation as well as reminders regarding the appointment day/time. As I walked into the door I was greeted by staff and promptly helped. I met Dr. Shin Chung and she was AMAZING! She was very professional, listened to my concerns, and addressed any questions I had. Her chairside manner makes you feel comfortable and her personality made the visit enjoyable:) After my visit with the Dr., I was helped by a kind employee Susan. It was nice that the manager Chris came over too and asked how my visit was and how he could help. My visit was primarily to order contacts. In discussing the choice of contacts, the manager and staff were also knowledgeable about contact brands/types and confirmed the recommendation by the Dr. I was very happy to know that my contact order could be shipped to my house and received in a week! While I dont typically write reviews, because of this positive experience I wanted to! I enjoy great customer service and experiences. I would highly recommend Dr. Shin Chung and this MyEyeDr location to anyone! I for sure will be back:)

How is it that when you make an appointment, the Dr is allowed to have you waiting 20 mins or longer but as as soon as youre 5 mins late, they want you to reschedule?!!!That as a patient they thank you for your patience when THEY ARE RUNNING BEHIND, but when its THE PATIENT you have to reschedule.And on top of that YOUR EMPLOYEE said there was a 15 min grace period, but I guess you pick and choose when to follow that.
It took them two weeks and a half to get my glasses done because the order was sent to a wrong lab that did not make frameless glasses. When placing my order, I asked twice to get the lense sides polished. When the glasses arrived the sides were not polished. They made me wait for over 40 minutes to get them polished. Finally, they could not assemble the frame back to have it straight. While doing all the manipulations the lenses got five scratches. When I asked what those dots and lines were, I was told those were droplets of glass cleaning spray. They werent ! Ultimately, they acknowledged they screwed up and reordered the glasses. This was a horrible experience. How can I trust these people and this business ? I will never feel comfortable using this place again.
Why do you have people on hold for so long! Im currently on hold right now! Its been 10 minutes!!!!! If youre not going to answer the phone then at least have a fax number so I dont have to deal with this foolishness!!!
These folks are the absolute worst!!! I scheduled my appointment for 515pm. I get a text message reminder that my appt is at 415pm. I called them right away and they told me the system been acting up and my appt was at 4:15 or go back and reschedule one. So now it’s my fault their website is garbage and they can’t commit to their appointments. The lady put me on hold and spoke to the doctor in charge and he still said no. Way to go my eye doc. Very unprofessional experience. Never again !!!!!!!!
Came here yesterday evening for my daughters annual exam. The doctor that seen her was not the usual Asian doctor who normally sees her. This doctor was so rude. She would make little rude comments about how bad my daughters eyes were, how she wasnt telling her accurately which lenses was better and cut me off mid-sentence. She was asking my daughter in a very confused manner which lense was better instead of your normal 1 or 2 fashion. I left my appointment feeling very uncomfortable with her diagnosis of my daughters new prescription. She was absolutely horrible and if she continues to be the doctor moving forward, my family will no longer continue with the facility.The only reason I am giving a 3 star review is for the technician Cindi who helped us afterwards. She was hands down the best representive I have dealt with in a long time. She explained everything in complete detail, told me exactly how to get the most out of my benefits. Was very assuring and extremely helpful. I wish more places had gems like Cindi.

I choose this MyEyeDr office simply because I few years back I used to go to the one in Frederick Md. The Doctor was absolutely excellent but he fell ill and had to retire. (I really miss that guy) None the less I decided to try another MyEyeDr office and went to the one in Canton. The Doctor was not as good and the lens she gave me was horrible on my eyes. I figured because my old doctor was just that great, it could be that I was used to higher standards and decided to give MyEyeDr one more shot. On November 9th I went in and got an appointment for the 11th, which was a Sunday. I saw Dr. Michael Krimigis and he was GREAT! He was helpful, insightful, and listened to what I was saying. He made the mood easy going and he explained everything to me to a tee. I did a little research before hand and had some questions and he answered all my questions and then some. He even explained to me why I was not a good candidate for contacts and even explained told me if I wanted them which ones would be the best for my situation. So if you have the option to see a Doc here I would recommend him just based off that alone. So here is why I gave them 2 stars. 1. When I was trying to pic my frames, the place was very cramped that I was bumping into people and they into me. It happened so often that I just didnt want to look anymore and ask the lady to choose a few for me to pick from. I just needed a pair, and the good thing is my insurance allows me to get 2 pairs so I decided to get my second pair somewhere else. Which brings me to my second point. 2. The lady who help me was nice and I really dont have much of a problem with her other than this.. Because my insurance allows me to get a 2nd pair of glasses, or contacts, or shads, I felt like she was just trying to get me to spend my money. I explained to her that right now all I needed was to get one pair now because the pair that I currently have hurts my eyes. But still she kept insisting me to get contacts. She went on about how great they are, but for what I do for a living it will be pointless for me to get them. Its pointless for me because if I get them, when I am sitting in front of my PC all day with my contacts, I will STILL have to put on glasses while I am wearing the contacts (which in my opinion defeats the purpose) but, yet still she kept on insisting. This was VERY annoying since I explained numerous times why I dont want it. So of course I will be taking my second option elsewhere, plus the selections there are limited anyway.3. But my third and most important problem to me is on the receipt that I received on the 11th, I have a promise date of 11/27/18. Tonight (keyword night), it is now 11/29/18. Two days from the Promise date have passed and I did not receive a call, text or email letting me know that they have or havent gotten the lens yet. I had to go into the office and inquire about it before they could tell me that the lens have not arrive yet. The lady was nice and told me that it MIGHT take a few more days to get here. I asked when and she politely said that the Lab tech has left for the day and she is the only one that can tell me. Now I could be wrong but while we was talking I swore I heard a Lab Tech speaking to the other girl that was next to the one I was speaking with about cutting lenses for a frame for a different customer. Again, I could be wrong but... None the less I have to wait for a call in the morning to find out when I could receive my glasses, while continuing to wear the ones that hurts my eyes. I am also waiting on this pair to try them out before I get my second pair with the new prescription that I current have from this office. I wanted to make sure that its OK enough before committing to another pair, but time for this year is running out and I probably will not have the time I wanted to try them out. So if this pair that I receive dont work out, I most likely change this review to a one star. I really dont write much reviews but I had so much high hopes and this experience disappointed me for the money that I spend, not cheap.

I called and made an appointment and then on the day of the appointment I called to confirm. They said I never made an appointment and I know I did . I had a time and which Dr I was to see. I was a previous patient of Dr Goldstein from his previous practice. I called this location 2-3 times and was never satisfied with the staff I talked to. They gave me very inconvenient times to reschedule and I said they were not acceptable. So they lost a valued previous client of Dr Goldsteins. I do not recommend them at all. He is a great Dr, but the staff is worthless.

Unfortunately We went to make a pair of glass and I have a very bad experience from My Eye Dr.,which are:1- they sell very expensive and you think they might be very good but they are butchers and you may buy the same pair of glass in a different store by 80% cheaper.2- They force you to buy the insurance and when anything happens to glass and you take it back,they make too many excuses for not fixing it, if they accept to fix, then they ask you to pay more money.3-We ordered plastic lenses,but used glass lenses,and we found after a few days,which broke.due to upper mentioned problems, I would never refer or go to MY EYE Dr., Unless there is no one to make glasses in the world.
