Always love going to this store. Everything is so nicely laid out. It gives me great ideas for my own home. Friendly staff and unbeatable prices
Love it! Its a great store to try to make some money on the items that you dont want or need. The rules are fair and are in place to make the store grand place to sell and shop. I found that if you follow the rules there should be NO complaints.
Love this place, very clean and easy to consign items that I want to get rid of. This is a whole lot safer than trying to sell my furniture on Craigs List. Made some good money with little to no effort. The staff is nice and took the time to explain the rules of consigning with them.
Worst experience my wife and I have ever had. I do not know if the person running this place is bi-polar as I am not a medical doctor, but she went from Good to Bad after the contract was signed. I could go on with many examples, but it is not worth the typing effort. We got out of the deal what Divine considered correct, but we considered stealing.
Do not consign here!~ a wolf in sheep clothing for sure. As a first time cosignor there was a miscommunication between the store clerk and myself. When I went in to retrieve my items I was told to go around and find my items. I found all but two with the help of a very ice sales lady. The sales lady said she would keep looking for the two missing items. When I went to remove the found items from the hangers I was told I could only take items costing more than 24.99 and the rest would stay in the store as store property or to donate. I told the sales lady that this was not my interpretation of what was discussed initially and I had thought I would be allowed to remove all items as long as it was before the annotated window on the form I signed; just a miscommunication not a felony. I was told by the two ladies that I would have to come back on Thursday and talk to the owner. When I arrived to the store on Thursday the owner was not there but another sale lady was. I told her the issue and she handed me a bag with one of the items they had found that we could not locate on Tuesday. I asked where the other one was and she said they had not found it yet. I then told her I wanted my other items back (7 them under the 24.99) and she told me they would not return them regardless of the miscommunication. I told her I really wanted my clothes back. She then she told me to “step aside, I have customers waiting”…like I am not a customer or worthy of time? After we waited she made a point to re-show me the signed paper indicating that I had signed it (I guess as a PhDc I am stupid and can’t read), again it was just a miscommunication and I was a first time consignor…the word “grace” comes to mind. I informed her that the items were still mine as there had not been a transaction whereby they paid me or I received a donation slip for the items they intended to keep. Which brings me to another point, how do they not give customers a tax write-off donation receipt? Do they take the entire write off for themselves? That doesn’t seem fair. Regardless, after about ten minutes of being frustrated, demeaned and treated rudely, I took a deep breath and said “I am asking you very nicely to consider that I was a first time consignor and that there was a miscommunication”. The lady snapped back at me “well it doesn’t seem like you are asking nicely, seems to me like you are being rude”. I told her if she would kindly give me back my item then this would conclude out business. She agreed and went and got my items. When she came out she took them off the hangers and threw them in a pile on the chair, then balked “you need to sign something (I guess rudeness only happens from her perspective…but like my mother always says “when you point the finger at someone you have three pointing back at you”). After signing the slip that I had retrieved the items I asked what would be done about the other item still missing (a $200.00 ST. John’s top). She said “I don’t know; theft happens you know”. I pointed out that it did not say anything about not being compensated for items that were stolen on the agreement and I was just making the inquiry as to how it would be handled. She looked at me and said “I think our business here is done, you can move along now”. I am kind of glad my children got to see and experience this from a “charitable Christian organization”. I have always taught them grace, forgiveness and kindness does not come from belonging to a religion but from being a true human. I was not asking for the world, just a little understanding and grace.Needless to say I will not be consigning with them or buy from them EVER again.
Horrible experience! Wish I had read the reviews before going because it seems like this is a trend. I was lied to and deceived by this business. Do not consign with them! I had issues with them from the beginning and got to a point where I no longer wanted to consign or do any business with them. But even on the last day, when I went to closeout and terminate my business with them, they found a way to take even more from me than they already had. I started consigning with them on 3/6/13. They have a policy where anything they take and cant sell they get to keep and do whatever they want with it. They wont give it back and cant supply a donation receipt. To top that off, when I would call to get my balance or find out what sold, I was told the majority of the time that they would call me back (usually didnt) or to call back when Sandra was there (didnt seem to be there very often when I called). After paying the $5 fee to consign, they kept refusing my items after the inital time (when they got the items and fee) so I called on 1/7/14 to find out when I had until to use the money on my account (if it is under $25, you have to spend it and cant have it in cash), and was told I had until 3/6/14 to use the full amount. However, when I went into the store on 3/4/14, I was told that they took an annual fee out at the beginning of the month and that even though it hadnt been a full year, that I told them I wouldnt be consigning with them any longer, and that I was told I had until the 6th to use my funds, that they had taken it out and there was nothing I could do about it. This was a horrible experience other than the first visit when they sucked me in and I would tell all potential consigners NOT to use this store but rather try a nice, honest place (in my experience) like Roundabouts.
