Love love love this bakery! I used to live overseas where a local bakery was just down the street. Ive missed that so much. When I found out about this place, I knew I had to stop by. Always a great trip when you stop by, and the smell of fresh-baked goodies is always enticing. I can never leave with just one thing. The semolina and cheddar black pepper loaves are two of my go-tos, but have you tried the Makers Mark pecan tart?? Gotta have it. The daily selection is always changing and the staff rocks! Whats not to love?

The bread is wonderful, but you cant count on the shop being open until 3:30 as advertised. At 3pm today, the store was closed;mo lights or staff there. This has happened to me before and its frustrating since it was a special trip and I looked up the closing time to make sure--I thought--that it would be open. I did not feel like an appreciated customer, and I have been a regular on an occasional basis for some time.

Everything that Ive ever purchased from here has been delicious! My favorite items are the red velvet petit fours & the pecan financiers. The downside is that they dont have a phone, so theres no way to find out whats being served or if there are any changes in hours of operation unless you live close by or have a Facebook account. Not everyone has a Facebook account.

Crust Bakehouse is a neighborhood bakery. They have fresh breads, scones, and pastries daily. They also have special items like German style soft baked pretzels, bagels, and bagel bombs.

Little hard to get a parking spot when they are so busy but amazing baked goods. Smells amazing as soon as you walk in.

Hearty scones of sweet and savory varieties, a perfectly textured multigrain, cheddar black pepper, and our favorite, the semolina loaf, are all good enough reasons to overcome the parking challenge. Make sure to check their hours so you dont get very hungry for a mango scone and very disappointed when you cant have one that very minute!

Delicious baked goods! Their European-style breads with thick, chewy crusts are the best in the state. Their pastries are excellent, too, especially the Big Debras. The scones are light and moist. Crust Bakehouse is a neighborhood gem.

Second attempt at visiting this shop. Tried coming around a month or so ago in the mid morning and the sign on the door said they were closed for maintenance that day.Came today looking for a plain loaf of some sort of white bread. I arrived at 2:45p (they close at 3:30pm) and there were literally 1 loaves of bread left. One rye and one multigrain. They had some frozen options, like ciabatta, but I was looking more for something like their sourdough which was not available. I understand that I was coming towards the end of the day but twice now I’ve walked away with nothing from this store. Will not be making a third attempt.

I had not been to Crust in several years but stopped by yesterday around 1:30. bought sour dough bread, a scone, a biscuit and 1 of every sweet thing they had. They were not just good but excellent! Most other bakeries make fancy looking breads and pastries that look good but taste flat. I was so happy with Crust’s products. Thank you !!

My daughter and son in law ordered sausage and cheese kolaches, and brought one to me this morning for my birthday treat. It was unbelievably delicious. I’ve eaten kolaches in Texas for years, as they’re pretty popular there, but the one I had from Crust today puts their’s to shame. I’m embarrassed for Texas.thanks Crust!!!

A gem of Columbia. Hands down, the best bakery in Columbia, South Carolina. Delicious scones, sweet stuff and breads. Try the oatmeal cream pies on Thursdays and Fridays. A work of art. Cant recommend Crust enough. Service is great too. Everybodys super friendly.

They have changed ownership and now have lowered quality significantly. Made 3 more visits before leaving this new review. Bread is now under cooked or has a baking flower taste consistently. And coffee has been cold or full of grounds for all four visits. Used to be a favorite but Im done.

The Crust folks make the best scones Ive EVER had and always have a great variety of sweet and savory. Highly recommend picking them up early in the morning when theyre still warm to really taste the difference between their scones and the hard, stale ones you get elsewhere. Everything weve picked up has been great.

This bakery is awesome! The owners bought a car from me and Im more happy to find out about the bakery than I was to sell them a car! I bought a loaf of their cracked black pepper and cheddar bread... OH MY TASTE BUDS! I ate it plain, I ate it in the morning with butter, I made a turkey sandwich with mayo and egg for breakfast and literally chewed every bite for 4-5 minutes to savor all the flavor that was packed into every bite. On top of the fact that I got to eat the best bread ever, Mark and Laura are some of the nicest people youll ever meet. :) GO HERE NOW!

This bakery is the hidden gem of the Rosewood/Shandon area. I only discovered Crust Bakehouse a month ago and yet I have visited at least once a week since. They have fresh baked dog biscuits and the most amazing bread! My favorites so far are the ciabatta and focaccia breads. It is quite truly the best bread I have ever tasted, especially for the focaccia! I thought I had tried good focaccia bread but theres is so light and flavorful it is incredible. I could easily eat an entire loaf myself! The staff is always friendly and helpful. They know me now and as a vegan they always point out the bread and treats made without dairy. They even took my order for lemon and rosemary focaccia bread the next day since I was craving it that week and had missed it the day before. I paid for it in advance and they lady remembered me the next day and promptly bagged a fresh loaf for me. It was such a pleasant experience. I feel like I am part of my community when I go to this bakery and I treasure that feeling.
