The worst experience EVER! I choose BODE floors over other well known Columbia flooring companies based on reviews - horrible mistake! Initially, everything was fine. The sales team was responsive and knowledgeable. They had a wide selection of flooring and were able to get me scheduled quickly.Installation day is where it all took a turn for the worse. I asked the two installers to wear their masks (I have two babies at home), they appeared annoyed (as that request apparently wasnt indicated on their information sheet) and they only complied for 1 of the 10 hours that they were there. However, the most upsetting issue was the damage that the installers caused to the house; they hammered through the drywall, causing damage to the ceiling underneath. They did not mention this to me and there is no way they did not see it, as you have to walk past it every time you go up and down the stairs. The carpet installation itself was also horrible. Almost every corner had a gaping hole and one corner was not even secured down.Additionally, other (smaller) but equally as disturbing issues were leaving the front door open the ENTIRE day - which allowed a wild animal to get into the house and go to the bathroom on our freshly cleaned carpets (downstairs), not replacing any of the closet doors (breaking two of them in the process - which is why they probably didnt put them back on), vents, and even a random outlet cover that was removed for some reason, wearing street shoes on brand new carpet without shoe covers, using a gold metal strip instead of a silver one as decided upon when purchasing, and THEY CARPETED OVER THE AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING VENTS in our master bedroom! 🤣Lastly, I had the house professionally deep cleaned (for $400) one day prior to the carpet installation (we had just purchased the house), and both toilets upstairs were used by the workers and left extremely dirty with feces splatter and urine on the floor. For $6,000 nobody should have to deal with this kind of situation. Its almost too far fetched to believe. Yet, it is all true and I will never use or recommend them to anyone. I hope that nobodys property will ever be treated this way again. I will add that they did pay for the ceiling repair, but I had to find my own contractor and pay for it first. Please enjoy the pictures I have attached.
Had a great experience with Bode Floors! Our kitchen floor was damaged due to our dog having accidents. Brandi in sales was very professional and helpful. Brandi was great at following up and letting us know what the next step was. The installer was in and out in a few hours and did a great job. Very pleased, will be using your service for any future flooring needs.
Good overall experience start to finish: professional installation of wood floors. Good selection- great quality- great sales support. Whole level of my house made over in a day, within my contractor’s schedule. Product was in stock, immediately deliverable and from a climate controlled warehouse (eliminating the need to acclimate materials days in advance). Staff returned a phone message on a day the showroom was closed for winter weather during the snowstorm. Very satisfied with the final product; would recommend and use again.
I went to Bode to completely redo all of my flooring, from carpet to resurfacing and staining my wood floors. I had all the work done in 2016 and at the end of last year I noticed the carpet (which is not low end carpet) started to bubble up and bow along the seam and near my entertainment center. After only being down five years, there is no way the carpet should be failing like that. I called customer service and was told that carpet is no longer made like the old days and that they expand and contract frequently. So I asked to set-up a time to have the carpet stretched to prevent a tripping hazard and to make it look normal. I was told that would cost me $300 to complete and that I would have to move all the furniture out of the room myself. Unacceptable on every front. Also, when I purchased the carpet I was told by the salesman that I had a life time warranty on stains that I can not get out. I have a stain that I cant get out and asked for help in fixing it. I was told that for that warranty to be good I had to have all my carpets professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months and that I must have the receipts to prove it. What hogwash. This fact is probably buried in the fine print, but my salesman touted that I could get any stain removed at anytime as long as I owned the carpet. Lastly, when the wood floor was refinished they had to sub contract out to have my runner on the stairs removed and then reinstalled once the job was complete. It looked like the reinstallation was done by an amateur. I can put my fingers between the runner and the vertical part of the stairs. This is not how it looked before they took it out. I made attempts at the time to get it fixed but was never able to get hold of the right staff to fix the issue at the time. So I just accepted the low quality work because of my frustration at the time. After the sale and installation and only five short years I am completely dissatisfied and cannot find resolution with customer service. Buyer beware of this company and do not believe what the floor staff tell you as they will not deliver when they absolutely should.r,Steve
Bode floors continues to be great. Over the last few years they have hired them to do 2 carpeting jobs an put in hardwood floors. They are the best. Michele has handle the sales an measuring of the jobs, she is great at taking all time to answer all the my questions an making sure that Ive been satisfied with the work that has been one.
Worked with Bode to recarpet our basement. Our salesperson, Steve, was knowledgable, pleasant to work with and communicated well with us. The guys who laid the carpet were on time, really friendly and clearly skilled. They were efficient, detailed and respectful of our home. They did an excellent job installing our carpet. We would definitely recommend Bode Floors.
I discovered Bode Floors and they are terrific. Michele who is my sales consultant does a great job of meeting my needs (and stays in my price range). She also has helped with paint selection. Michele also does the measuring and we never had a problem with carpet, measurements or installation of carpets.
Lizzy guided us from the start right through the installation. She was very knowledgeable and professional, The installers did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the quality of the carpet too.Thank you Bode!
I would not recommend Bode....I had tiling done in the wash room and two bathrooms. Sent two people...language barrier and had no toilet for over 24 hrs due to grout being done and plumber would not proceed till it had time to dry. Sales person wasnt on top of things! She also didnt have any trimming set up for this project, had to find someone to come out and get it done. This was last year. Decided to take a break after this disaster!A week ago I had laminate installed, looks good, but ran out of material. Had another sales person to help me with this project, since it was a disaster the last time. I was disappointed though this time, because salesperson never called to set up time to finish project and workers showed up this morning at 8 am...no notification...was on my way to work! My apt time should have been set up for after 1:30. Not surprised at all! I guess once they have your money, they dont care.
After I selected and make a deposit on my carpet, I had trouble getting in touch regarding pickup. My salesperson was out for the week and I called and talked to another sales person who agreed to check on my order and call me back. I never hear from him. I then put in several calls that ended in voicemail. As a customer, voicemail is never satisfactory but when your call is not returned, it shows negatively on the company.Ive used Bode Floors for over a decade and Im disappointed with their customer service.
I would not recommend anyone with elderly parents to use them, they thoroughly ripped them off in price, sent unskilled installers, took forever to complete the job, broke their oven door handle and still have not resolved it, tried to tell them there was an additional charge for floor removal but it was in the contract plus they dont return my phone calls when I try to resolve it. Very disappointed that they are not treating my parents right when they Bode prides themselves on customer service. They also told my parents they needed to remove furniture so my parents rented a pod and paid extra for people to load all the furniture and then they still complained about the few pieces that were in the house. I would never and do not recommend them for any reason.
Nice place, friendly employees.
