Came in for a check engine light. Told me I would need a tune up. Total was 5,000?! For spark-plugs, coils, and fuel injectors? Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that after their complimentary car wash there was a black sticky substance all over my headlight and as I was driving home I noticed that they never even shut the hood! It was just flapping up and down while I was driving on the interstate! Absolutely insane
My husband and I just purchased a 2022 X3 M40i from Pavel Urban. Pavel went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, and we did. He never pressured us in any way. He came in on his day off to take care of us and even hand delivered a back ordered cargo mat to us. We couldnt have asked for a better car buying experience.

We had a bit of an emergency situation on the interstate while driving our vehicle on Labor Day. We could not find anyone within a 100 mile radius who was willing to help us out. Then our friend recommended we call BMW of Columbia. We called and they told us to come right in. Once we arrived we were promptly and warmly greeted by Douglas Shoup, service client advisor, who took our car straight in for service. We are not regular customers of theirs, nor do we drive a BMW. But we were treated like family, we were in and out in no time and back on our way home. Thank you all, we will never forget how you helped us - especially on a holiday. And if we need anything we’ll definitely come back to you.
The purchase of my new 2022 BMW Z4 was easy. Joe my sales agent was professional and always made sure during the financial stage I was listen too, he made sure I was comfortable and understood the negotiations. BEST SALES AGENT I ever worked with.I have been going to BMW of Columbia for service during the last 13 years, their work is superb and the customer service goes beyond then normal service departments.
UPDATE: I was told they could not pin point where the coolant leak was coming from. Well, someone I know who works on car on the side (not a mechanic), stopped by my house to look at it and it took him less than a minute to find the leak. It was a hose. Ordered and put on, now no leak. Seems this is who they need to hire.I had my daughter bring in her dads car to get some some things checked so I can start getting some things fixed on it, since it had been sitting for a while and I knew it had some issues. He was planning on fixing up the car himself, but passes away before he got the chance. I was told that the Columbia location was better than the one near me. Since my daughter goes to school down there, I had her bring it. After they looked at it, the man said that some system was down so he could not give a detailed list and the cost of repairs right then, but he would email it to her. He never did. She requested it several times and I also tried. When I called, the lady who answered said no one was available and she would have them call me. I am still waiting.
Very professional staff! Had my vehicle in for a service and Brian kept in great contact on letting me know the status of my vehicle each step of the process. Will definitely work with Brian in the future.
I’m not satisfied with the service at all. I sent my car for inspection and fix broken lights. I dropped off the car on Wednesday and was told to be contacted the next day. I waited and no one contacted me. Meanwhile I called many times and got no useful information. On Friday I called in the morning and was told that the light is not in stock. I was shocked that nobody told me anything and I have to call hundreds of time begging for an update!Also, I was told that no courtesy vehicle is offered. And I still don’t know when could I pick up my car

Matthew Beair is our service advisor. I had new tires put on my SUV this week, and the service was quick and performed correctly. Worked with Landis Smith on buying my vehicle from BMW Columbia. Landis was great to work with. Never had any issues that people think of when they think of car dealerships, especially higher end dealerships. Definitely a pleasure and whenever we are in the market for a vehicle again, we will look at this dealership again. Well worth traveling an hour and a half.
Aundrea handled checking us in for service. I think she treated us better than any previous visit for service there. I will be sure to ask for her to handle my service needs in the future. Car was finished quickly and all washed and cleaned.
We were driving through Columbia at night and had a car problem resulting in our X-5 being towed to the dealership. We rented a car and continued on our trip to the Charleston area. The next morning the service dept from the dealership sent me a text asking a few questions and for a approval to make the repairs. They were very easy to work with, professional, and their prices were reasonable. They finished the repair quickly and made arrangements for us to pick up the car on a Sunday even though they were closed on that day. They truly exceeded my expectations and were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend their service department.
Great and timely service. Aundrea, my service advisor was excellent and kept me informed during my service visit. Angelo, my technician, was thorough and made sure everything that was done to my car was top notch. Everyone was friendly and looked like they enjoyed their jobs.

This is the worst dealership Ive ever been to. First they never answer their phones and youre on hold for hours or it just hangs up on you. When I took my car in they told me I had an oil leak, so I gave them my extended warranty information. I waited a month then called them they said they couldnt get a hold of the extended warranty place, so I called them and had them call down to the shop. Then all the sudden I have all these problems that they never told me about but put it into my claim. Only one part was covered for the warranty and with the other work they claimed I needed done ( oil pan gasket, and rear brakes) they said it would total to over 3 grand. I went to another shop and nothing was wrong with the oil pan just the valve cover gasket and rear brakes, my total is under a thousand dollars. This dealership is a scam and they rip you off. Lexus was the best dealership I ever went to and had the best customer service unlike BMW who leaves alot to be desired of. However, I gave my business to an honest family owned shop that specializes in foreign cars and I will NEVER go back to BMW who lied about what was wrong with my car and tried to scam me out of thousands of dollars. Do yourself a favor and dont go there!!
Clean, Courteous, professional and well organized I love the fact how they sent a video of the inspection of my car to my phone. I was getting a brake fluid flush I was on time I had an appointment it took about 2 1/2 hours I felt that was a bit long for what I was having done it was my first time going I will continue to go there that is definitely not a dealbreaker. Last month, My wife and I were on a extended road trip with our BMW X5 going from South Florida to Green Bay. We stopped by Columbia BMW on the way north due to a coil pack ignition problem. We had called ahead and were ensured the part(s) were available. Zac and the team in parts were awesome, and the BMW CCA discount was the best I have seen, after almost 20 years in the club. Our experience was with Bryce in new car sales. Let me just say, I’ve driven only Lexus since 2004, owning seven new car models in those years.Buying a BMW is a major change for my family and I. We went in thinking we were not going to be sold. I’ve been in sales for over twenty years and know sales pitches all too well.We looked at new and preowned and decided on a new X3. Getting there was effortless, Bryce let us check out different models, test drive a few and let us navigate our way to what felt right. My daughters brakes were acting up & not able to drive. Chris & his team scheduled an appointment for Saturday, but took a look at the car this afternoon to see if it could be resolved quickly. The Customer Intake person was very Professional and cordial; however, The Mechanical Representative was absolutely uncooperative and utilized his Abusive Power to Write Me Off- He NEVER even used the DIAGNOSTICS Process -lying to say he was afraid the diagnostic could shut the automobile down. He kept my car for TWO weeks. I used another dealership and THEY DIAGNOSED my Car -It DID NOT SHUT DOWN - and REPAIRED THE PROBLEM - I AM COMFORTABLY MOBILE AGAIN and given THAT DEALER HIGH RATINGS, as deserved!

Very bad experience, I had a service appointment scheduled and 3 weeks out was the earliest appointment time with a loaner car. I call to verify the day of the appointment if there was a loaner and was assured there was. Low and behold I get there and am told there’s no loaner and there’s a shortage. This is my final time going to this service department. Going to Charlotte is inconvenient bc of distance but the service is worth it.

I purchased a Certified BMW X5 in Fayetteville, NC last week only because I was looking for a specific model and trim/color/interior and certified BMW of Cola only had two certified X5s and not my style, so no problem, just search and find. I needed the Thule/BMW roof racks that my Subaru Outback had. (Selling the Outback due to two rear end collisions by other drivers in six months, a wild turkey strike, yes that is true and road debris twice in the last three years of ownership all causing body shop repairs. Thanks GEICO! And, not to mention all the Class Action Suits against Subaru Outback issues that I have endured.) I called BMW of Columbia and they had the racks in stock. Scheduled appointment for today, easy transaction, fast install time and polite, respectful personnel.I even came back later this afternoon to buy a cargo mat to install. That was in stock also and both items were less expensive than some online retailers and Thule itself. I left feeling good about this company and will return, for sure. My X5 Rocks!!! And that Harmon Kardon sound system is sweat music to this guitarist ears! Finally, my wife is asking about an X3 or convertible. Better sell some more stock! Thanks to all for a positive auto dealership experience. Keep it up, word of mouth is powerful advertising.

I would not recommend them. They don’t pay attention to detail when dealing with your vehicle. I took my car to be serviced to have a tire changed. I have the hazard wheel tire & package which covers you getting your rim & wheel replaced if damaged. I have all season roll flat tires on my car & they placed it with a regular tire on my car thinking I wouldn’t pay attention to it because I’m a woman. A black woman at that. This is the second occurrence of bad service I have received. I called this morning to speak with someone about it & instead of trying to rectify the matter today. They told me to call back on Monday. I asked to speak with a manager & he stated someone would call me back. I will never take my car there again after this for nothing.

BMW of Columbia is very expensive. Staff is okay but not too friendly. As a vehicle owner I will have concerns about the vehicle but staff would not like it if you ask too many questions.

This dealership is trash! They sold a lemon 750i and took two weeks to get us a new car! The sales manager Jeremy is trash! Completely unprofessional to say the least! I had to call back every day to get a response on my service for my vehicle! Then spend 3 days lo going back and forth to get into a smaller lesser vehicle to avoid searching for a new one! The salesman Isaiah was great but after him good luck! I’m honestly going to drive to Charlotte to buy my m8 cause the headache isn’t worth it at all! As a family of bmw owners this experience has honestly made me want to go with another brand all together.....

This was one of the best experiences of buying a car that I have had in over 30 years. Everyone was upfront and honest and was exactly what was promised.
We purchased a new BMW X5 from BMW of Columbia. I consider the price and our trade-in value to have been more than fair. The salesman, David McElveen, gets a 10 for his helpfulness in all phases of the transaction.
No code = no issue. They do not check unless the codes come back and show there is an issue with the vehicle. To the extent that we sent in a video of our issue and got a video response saying that there was no issue and then after encouraging further investigation it was determined that there was an issue that was actually reported 2 weeks prior when work was done. I will mention that they resolved this issue by not charging labor costs to fix the issue which saved us over a thousand dollars. This doesn’t change the fact that they missed a part that was failing that posed a safety issue for the driver and her 2 year old child that could have been addressed 2 weeks prior if they had not gone solely off of the codes of the car. My advice is to get a code reader for your car so you can always see what you are up against, and then make sure they are not giving you only code errors when it could be a part that doesn’t have a code. Then make sure when they inspect it that they inspect everything and not just what those codes say is wrong (if you have a code reader then you already know what is wrong so you’ll know what they are going to tell you to some extent)
Brian and BMW of Columbia handled everything smoothly! I appreciate the consistency in keeping in touch while my vehicle was getting serviced and being able to fit me in to get a last minute tire put on. Wouldn’t take my BMW to get serviced anywhere else.
Dealership completed servicing as requested. However, level of service is just average. I arrived prior to my appointment and no other customers were available line. 6 service advisors were behind their desks and at least one was staring into space (I.e., not clearly staring at their computer, cell phone or landline). Only greeting was a shouted “Hello” from somewhere in the distance. No enthusiasm from staff at all. When arriving to pick up my car, I saw that it hadn’t been vacuumed and they didn’t bother to hook it up to vehicle charger for a courtesy charge (it’s a plug in hybrid and this dealership is a designated charging station).Again, nothing wrong with the actual services, but nothing that makes it an exceptional service experience. Nothing that makes we want to return for service once the factory service period expires. Better service experience at their competitors (have a Volvo and Mercedes and go to dealer because of experience).
Each time I take my BMW into service the customer care is always Excellent.

Brought my BMW X1 in at 8:15 am as scheduled and they knew I’d be waiting in their waiting area. Took over 2 hours for them to look at the car and took until after 1 pm for them to do a software update! Said they washed and vacuumed the car. Car wash was spotty at best and the interior definitely had not been vacuumed at all. I even opened the rear door to show the service person, Sam, the dirt and sand on the rear mats. He did offer to take it back and actually have it vacuumed but after spending over 5 hours waiting, I was done being there. It was my first time at their new location which is very nice, and they did fix my problem, but I was very disappointed in how long it took and I do not appreciate being told it had been vacuumed when no attempt had been made to do so.
These guys are terrific, great selection of performance vehicles and their service department is awesome to work with. Highly recommend Jason McDonald for any service, took great care of the vehicle and got my i8 back on the road within the week. Won’t be bringing it anywhere else thanks for everything @bmwservice!
Took my car in and waited 5 and a half hours for them to look at my car. Was later told that they only took a code and that they couldnt even read it. Not sure why it ended up taking that long and was honestly a waste of time. They also told me they couldnt get my convertible top back up and ended up taking it Brown Motor and he got it up in less than a hour. Also, after bringing it in my car ended up having more problems than when I drove it there. Dont waste your time taking it here, just take it to Brown Motor. Cheaper and much faster.

My experience started off a little rocky, which is why Im not a solid 5 stars. To be clear, it was not due to the service received from the salesperson, but because I was a signature away from purchasing what I thought was a brand new 2021 BMW, only to find out it had been wreaked previously. My salesperson quickly searched for a replacement vehicle and I must say I am very pleased. Although it was slightly higher than the initial one, I have a few added features which is nice. Incredible service! I purchased a 2002 BMW Z3 3.0i with 85,000 miles on it. It had only had 5,000 miles put on it within the last 5 years and so I took the car to BMW of Columbia to give it a good once over before I drove the car back to Florida where I live.I was extremely tight on time and Brian helped me out and got me in and out in just over an hour. I had several things that I wanted checked out and gave him a list of them, and he came back with educated answers and solutions to almost all of them! I was most concerned about the oil change because this specific car takes a different type of oil than most BMWs and had read many places where a service place had put in the wrong oil. So I asked Brian about it and he immediately knew what I was talking about and handled it.If I absolutely had to find an issue with this place, there were some dirty fingerprints left where someone had closed the hood. Overall I highly recommend BMW of Columbia and be sure to ask for Brian!
Entire team at BMW of Columbia showed us great support in true BMW fashion. This would be our 3rd brand new BMW purchase and hats off to Donovan in helping another BMW fit into our garage. It was an amazing experience with @BMW of Columbia in South Carolina 👍....I recently brought Brand New BMW X5 Xdrive40i with luxury package. It includes every thing a car needs😍. The paper work and the numbers are super transparent and they don’t add and charge extra costs like other dealers does. The dealer fees is also very less compared to others. The interest rates are pretty less👍. For any type of credit score (good/bad) they give the best rates as low as possible......What I love the most about @BMW of Columbia is....They care for the customer satisfaction....and the sales person @DAVID Mcelveen who helped me in everything....till I was happy and returned home with my new 🚘 car.He is such an amazing person❤️❤️❤️. I normally prefer to not make online reviews,.. but this is not the first time I have received poor service from this location... and I feel that I make a post maybe something will start to improve with this location..... here it goes.The service department needs to step up and act like a luxury car service unit.Here is my experience, from this week after waiting 2 weeks on their loaner cars to be available...1. While transferring items to my loaner car. My car was driven off before I was done transferring my items to the loaner car..ie. my car seat was still in the car still and they drive off.... really2. I had to reach out to the dealership for updates on my car, I was never proactively notified regarding an update. I was told on Thursday morning that the car will be ready on Friday. ( I had the loaner for a few days already) Thankfully I monitor the car via the app and noticed the car was instead moved and being worked on, a short time later. ( at least send the customer an email or text that a change has occurred and the car will be ready sooner than previously stated.)3. I decided to drive in and pick up my car as I saw that it was ready from the app, and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes to reach the advisor. Upon getting my car...the interior door handle had dark grease and oil all over it. Mind you ( the car has an upgraded white nappa leather interior)….. 🤯How could the team members even deliver the car to a customer seeing the door handles in that condition?It really speaks volumes. Needless to say the team member drove it off to be cleaned.4.They also forgot to ask me for the loaner car keys and provide any close out procedures regarding that as well. I gave them the keys nonetheless of course and also returned the loaner with a full tank of gas.. because I value the customer experience and realize it goes both ways.

I took my BMW in for service due to the brake light coming on. BMW fixed it quickly and did a complete inspection of my vehicle. They even sent me a video clip of the undercarriage inspection and tire measurements. My service advisor Aundrea Super Advisor answered all my questions and explained to me in detail what was going on with my vehicle. She sent me a link with what was covered and what was recommended then called for any follow up questions. And had someone follow up with me on the ones she could not immediately answer. Excellent Service!!
