This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a mechanic. I can honestly say after a year and a half of getting ripped off by mechanics this gentleman has my car running better than when I first bought it. On top of that he beat a national auto repair chain by several hundreds of dollars with the price. I highly recommend his services.

These guys go out of their way do a good, honest job. You dont worry about driving off and wondering if something else will go out. Theyll tell you if they dont know exactly what the problem is and what your next options are. I wouldnt take my 14 year old car any where else!

Ive used Vance at Quality Automotive for years. Ive referred a lot of business to him, and have had lots of happy friends who have continued using him. Hes honest, up front, doesnt try selling you stuff you dont need and he stands behind his work. He and Bill do excellent work! If you want to supply your own parts, this isnt the place for you. Most shops dont allow this, because they cant guarantee parts that they dont purchase. I highly recommend Vance and Quality Automotive!

I have been going to Vance for a couple of years and have sent several of my friends there, as well. Vance has always been very straightforward and honest with me. Several times Ive taken my car there to have work done only to be told that it didnt need to be done or that a less expensive solution was available. I challenge you to find anyone that will turn away work or purposely provide you a less expensive alternative! I highly recommend this shop.

I took my car in yesterday with a dead battery that was bought last Friday from a parts store who installed it for me. When I took it back to the parts store yesterday they said my battery cables and alternator were bad.Quality Automotive owner Vance said they were really backed up with people ahead of me but promised to look at it as soon as he could.Today he called me back and said that I didn’t need an alternator and he replaced the old battery cables, charged the battery, showed me an issue with a radiator hose that he fixed, topped fluid levels, all for under a hundred dollars.No doubt in my mind that I would have paid for a new alternator at some other auto repair shops.I went there because my neighbors the Creech’s have been going there for many years and trust him.It’s good to have a car repair business near my Whitehall neighborhood that I can trust.Bob Horton

I had a very good experience today with Quality Automotive. My check engine light came on this weekend and I went to Advance Auto Parts and they did a basic and free diagnostic screening for me. The code PO441 concerning Evaporative Emission system came up. However, for details I needed to visit a service shop and they recommended Quality Automotive. I checked them out on the internet and found only 1 review but it was very negative and concerning the same reason I would be visiting. I called to talk to them first and was told what to expect in price. I did not tell them about the review and was ok with the quote. I went in the following day with my 3 year old and was promptly and politely served. I was told that the light could likely be on because my gas cap was not on tight. He turned off the engine light and recommend that I wait and see if it comes back on and if it does he informed what the other causes could be and the potential prices. He certainly could have told me I needed a new gas cap (or another more expensive repair) and earned a few dollars but instead charged me nothing. It was then that I told him about the other review I read. I feel compelled to write my own review because I know how important these are for us as consumers but my husband also has his own business, so I know how detrimental a negative review could be, especially if there are no other reviews. All this said - I was very pleased and will certainly take my car back in the future if needed.

Told them i had ran a diagnostics and told them what the problem was. They ran there own diagnostics and found the same problem then charged me 75 dollars for the test. When i left i was told it was going to be around 173 for the labor and parts and the oil change. In the end i ended up paying over 300 dollars to this company. I will never return nor will i ever recommend them for anything whatsoever.
