I brought my GMC Sierra in for a check engine light being on. The staff up front greeted me and checked me in immediately. I was given a diagnoses and estimate for repair quickly. Their technicians had my truck repaired and back to me in the same day. I will certainly be returning in the future!

Had a 9 oclock appointment. Got there early just to find out they didnt have my oil filter and it wouldnt be in until 11. No apology. Offered a higher service at 11,2 hours later. When asked for the manager only got voice-mail. Ive used them before but the new office workers are not like previous staff. Quality of work and respect has changed to poorer service

I’ve taken both of my trucks to Kestner’s over the last couple of years ranging from A/C work to leveling kits installs. they’ve always taken care of me and the pricing is unbeatable for the quality of work they do. I had my 03 F-250 that had a terrible alignment issues that even Ford themselves couldn’t figured out how to correct. I took it to Kestner and a day later she’s fixed. The mechanic Bobby is extremely knowledgeable he showed and explained what my options were to correct my alignment. Without a doubt I’ll never take my trucks anywhere else but here.

I’m so appreciative for Kestner. After taking my car to multiple shops and being told nothing was wrong with it (even though it was shutting off on me while idle and driving at low speeds), I was finally told by my dealership that the only way to get a proper diagnostic was to take it to a Kia dealership. After being told I couldn’t get an appointment for another 2 months, I found Kestner Automotive online. They scheduled me to come in 2 days later. I was able to drop my car off the night before, and the next day they did a full inspection, found a resolution, and fixed it immediately. I was anticipating $500 or more for everything, but my end total was FAR LESS. A week later and my car is still running smoothly and I feel comfortable behind the wheel of my own car again.

Honesty and knowledge! In my 54 years, this is the absolute best garage that I’ve had work done at. They troubleshot my 1996 mustang cobra electrical issue in less than an hour and what could’ve cost at least $500 only cost $110. Extremely professional and helpful. These are the guys to go to!

Great personable service. There was a bit of a mixup with the appointment, but they happily worked me in the following day. Their appointment scheduling system needs a little improving, but otherwise a nice experience. Great place to get your car serviced.

ALMOST 5 star!Overall Kestner was great, they did expeditious work and took care of me and my vehicle but the only reason I set 4 stars as opposed to 5 was due to the fact there was some miscommunication that led to a misdiagnosis, leading to an extra day in the shop. But they worked out a very fair deal with me for my hassle and let me borrow there rental vehicle overnight. I definitely recommend Gary and the Kestner Automotive to anyone needing car repairs!

Very professional and explained in detail what could be wrong. They were not able to fix the issue with my AC, but they were honest and they had my interest in saving me money over their business. Without going into a lot of details, I will definitely use them for my future car problems.

I choose to bring my car to this business because of the great customer reviews. A bonus was it is very close to where I live. The ease of booking an appointment online was great, and getting my first preferred appointment date was even better. I believe it was Chris who worked with me to communicate the issues with my car. Everything was explained in a way I could understand and if I hadn’t I knew he would have tried until I did get it. Chris and Gary worked closely with us on extensive repairs to our 2006 Nissan Altima. They clearly explained the work required, cost, and time to complete. Communication was excellent, via phone & written estimates. They even provided a loaner vehicle when additional problems were found which delayed completion. My current mechanic has been booked up and hasn’t been able to fit me in. My battery had eventually died and I called Kestner’s to see if they could perform a test and installation! They fit me in that day even though they were just as busy! Friendly, professional service. Even took time to tell me what was needed to keep my car in good shape due to its high mileage! I nearly had an accident on a Sunday, and Kestner Automotive came to my rescue! Even though they were closed that day, they had a line for calling an emergency tower, who gladly and readily towed my car (for a small fee) to Kestners and stowed the key after calling the owners there.The next day, Gerry and Chris promptly called me to discuss my problem. As it turned out, a prior mechanic had improperly installed my coolant line, nearly destroying my transmission and newly-replaced radiator. At Kestner, they readily photographed the damages, explained the problem thoroughly and patiently, and allowed me to order my own factory-certified parts for the repair. Then, following the repair, they still noticed transmission problems and offered to drive my truck to the nearby Aamco upon my request.I would use them again--great value, kind, customer-service driven management, and great, informative mechanics.

We had a tire leaking down over time and saw no nails or anything else that may be the cause. Took to Kestners and they diagnosed the problem as the valve stem on the tire sensor was leaking. Fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. Excellent place to go for auto repairs.

This place is special. Observing from the waiting area, everyone who walks through the door is greeted promptly, treated respectfully, as advice and repairs are handled professionally. I have recently migrated from a dealership where size and price and wait times (all LARGE) seem to matter more than personal attention, prompt work, and fair prices. And Chris is exceptional (he is a true car-guy). Somehow he juggles it all and still gets you out the door feeling good about the whole experience. Ive been in twice now, and will keep coming back as long as its this good of a place.

I just moved here and needed what I thought was a new clutch, based on what I had been told by another mechanic where I used to live. I decided to go with Chris based on all the great reviews, and I couldnt be happier with everything.From the first time I spoke with him, I felt that he was honest, very knowledgeable, and like he truly cared about doing a good job. The problem turned out to be just the slave cylinder, which was significantly cheaper to repair, and he took care of some other things that the car needed, and it still came out to an affordable price.I will definitely be back in the future with both of my cars, and I highly recommend Chris and his team at Kestner Automotive to anyone who wants great work at a great price.

I experienced an issue with my while running errands. Once I gave Chris a call, I was able to be worked in right away (it wasnt a busy day fortunately). Once the team was able to get under the hood and perform a diagnostic to check out the issue, I was informed of some other issues that I had no clue I had. They were able to take care of the more immediate issue as well as help plan a course of action to assist with the other issues. I took my fiances 300zx to Kestner to have the transmission swapped out with one I purchased online and had shipped to them. They did great work, at an incredibly fair price, and worked with me throughout the whole process - even allowing me to leave the car parked in their lot for a few days until my fiance returned from his deployment. I am sure I was not the easiest customer with all the questions I had and my lack of knowledge, but they were extremely patient with me. I am always cautious of shops trying to take advantage of me or upsell, but they were very honest. They made a process that was very intimidating for me, very easy and painless. The turn around time was better than I was expecting too. I cannot say enough good things about them, especially Chris! Well definitely be taking our vehicles there in the future if/when needed.

Chris was so helpful from day one when I first stopped by for an estimate. The dealership told me I needed both axles replaced but I didnt think both was necessary at the same time and sure enough I was right. I dropped by Kestner, where they put my car on the lift and saw that I only needed the right side replaced. When I was ready to have to axle replaced Chris was completely honest with me and told me they were swamped and could I drop it off the next week to get it done. Just got it replaced yesterday and my car is driving great! I love how they send you a text message to let you know what services were rendered and when your vehicle is ready. I am pleased to say that I wont be taking my car anywhere else. Great, polite customer service and great mechanics as well. Thanks guys. Keep up the great work and I will keep the referrals coming.

Went in with a strange rattling sound coming from the front of the car. They pulled it around back and diagnosed the issue. I received an estimate for an alternator replacement totaling sum of about $450. Decided to fix it myself and found a loose exhaust hanger, problem solved. Now you tell me why would I ever let you near my vehicle again?

Very happy with the service I received and it’s nice to find a shop you can trust. These folks are a bit of a drive since I live on the other side of town but we’ll worth the distance. Will definitely bring my other vehicles as maintenance becomes necessary.

They replaced the alternator and belts. They did the best at helping me find what was wrong then any other mechanic Ive been to.

Kestner automotive completed a 4-wheel alignment on my vehicle quickly and professionally. I had a conversation with the owner and learned that everyone in the shop is required to take mandatory training each year to keep their skills sharp. They also invest heavily in new technology to complete the job more efficiently. Their alignment machine for example, doesnt even require taking the wheels off the vehicle. I was blown away by everything and Ill definitely be back again.

They went above and beyond both times we have had to tow my daughters car there. Shes a college student at USC and I live in Spartanburg SC and didnt know of a mechanic down there but found them and they have fixed her car twice now. This past time we thought it was her starter but turned out it was just a wire. They fixed it and didnt charge much at all!! They then checked her oil said she needed oil bad so put some in and didnt even charge her! Great place, honest and very nice people!!

I initially thought my Jeep TJ needed a complete replacement of ball joints and tie rods. I called Kestner Automotive on Broad River to ask for pricing. It was suggested that I bring in the vehicle to inspect the components on the front end to determine exactly what was bad. They drove my vehicle and found that the only problem was the steering dampener, saving money. They replaced the part while I waited. They were honest. I will be back.

My F-150 Had a coolant/ antifreeze leak. Kestner Auto was the third place I took my truck too. The first place stated I didn’t have a leak, the second place gave me a ridiculous price, Kestner Auto gave me an honest answer and offered a loaner vehicle while they took the time to figure out the issue.
