Ive been taking my car here for years and have always been treated fairly. They care about their customers and take the time to build a relationship. They are honest in their assessments and fair in their prices. I recently had a large repair and was seen quickly. They always get you in and out in a timely manner, and even send updates via text. This is my third time coming here and so I can officially say this place is consistently on top of their game. Chris is friendly and incredibly transparent about the service they provide and Jesse provides frequent updates throughout the process. This most recent trip was just for a tire patch and a tire alignment and the service was quick and thorough. They genuinely just care about the quality of their work. They are good about educating and explaining exactly what the work is that needs to be done and why it needs to be done. This was my first time getting my Toyota Highlander serviced here, but I have previously had my Scion xB serviced here a handful of times (alternator replacement, transmission and coolant fluid changes, and an engine diagnostic issue) and the work was also top notch then. I highly recommend them for honest, efficient, and thorough work.

I am from Alabama, and I had my work done here. The turn around time was fast, and the price was extremely fair, given the location. Jesse, the service writer, kept me fully informed of the status of my vehicle along the way. Very knowledgeable mechanics that listed everything wrong with the vehicle and nothing more. I just want to begin by saying that normally when I enter an auto care establishment, I feel intimidated by the idea and uncomfortable by the lack of general knowledge that I have. That is not the case here. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a regular customer at Autostream on Cradlerock Way for a couple of years now and I’ve become acquainted with the staff, all of whom are very accommodating and friendly, notably Chris, who works the front desk. He’s very amiable & always makes me feel at ease about the work I’m having/need done, as well as being extremely knowledgeable in this field. The customer service here is 10/10. Definitely recommend this spot, you can trust the staff here.

My experience here was great - in comparison with some other places. After I received a repair order for a brake light, I initially called another (unmentioned) inspection station. The man was grumpy, rude, and seemed offended that I hadnt come to him to get the light fixed but wanted his inspector to sign off on it. He claimed I expected free service but I never even said that.Then I called Autostream. The man was cheerful and quick to help. Just come by, he said. All we need to do is quickly sign it so we dont mind. You wont have to wait more than a few moments. That shocked me (in a good way) after my first experience. And if youre wondering, no, Autostream wouldnt even take payment. Ill definitely be recommending this place in the future. Kindness is everything.

My 1999 Honda Accord needed few things to be repaired to pass inspection. My transition from New York to Maryland has not been the easiest, especially when it came to titling and registering my car. This was the only company in my area that replied to my Maryland Inspection appointment request with professionalism and didnt ask to leave my car for a day ( People work). Upon the arrival of my appointment, I was greeted by Jesse and Chris. The return time on my vehicle was phenomenal. At the end of my appointment, Jesse and Chris explained my cars condition and how I could fix them.Thank you for the great experience. I love these guys. I lucked out and ran into them because it was easy to drop my car off and walk back to my home when I moved here in 2019. However, these guys are great. They always take the time to explain to me what is wrong and how badly it needs fixed and what not fixing it could mean. I appreciate that they also explain things in laymans terms. Their prices are comparable to things in the area, but the service you get it beyond what you see elsewhere. Chris is awesome, plain and simple this is my dude, I am always relieved when I call or go in and he is there. Ive gone here for new tires, oil changes, leaky boot (needed a full replace on that one, new brakes, and pretty much every little thing that goes wrong. They are also honest, so if something just needs a minor fix rather than a full replace they take care of you.

I took my recently purchased car here for a state inspection. Having been burned years ago purchasing a lemon, I had some anxiety about having bought a used car again without having a mechanic look at it first. Chris and Jesse took the time to explain what the state inspection would include, and after the inspection Chris went back again to a few of my concerns and assured me everything checked out good. However, in this instance I could not safely make it to his location near DC.When the brakes on Penelope Pilot failed, I knew he would understand and want me to be safe, so I carefully began to look for an autobody shop that was close to home, clean and with options in the surrounding area- in case I could wait. I have been a regular customer here for one year, and I have always gotten superior, honest, fair service and work on my vehicle. I just recently purchased another vehicle and requested an inspection and routine repairs for it from them. They found some serious hidden problems that force me to have to return the vehicle to the seller. They essentially saved my life by finding problems that make the vehicle almost unsafe to drive. Because Im a loyal customer, they did not charge me the usual $95 fee for this inspection. I am very fortunate to have taken my Nissan Altima to this automotive service for repairs. Jess, Chris and the other staff were very professional. I was very pleased that in the middle of the day that they were able to give me a same day appointment. I was impressed with how they use technology as a major method to keep customer aware of the repairs needed (with photos of car parts) in addition to updates/status of repair. Additionally I was really grateful for their car loan service until job was complete. Being on a major budget, during a pandemic, the company provided me the most economic charges possible. I will return to give them future business as well as give recommendation to others.

I dont go anywhere else. The guys are all super knowledgeable and never talk down to me (pretty common at some of the other places in the area). Every service my car has needed has been completed quickly and they are priced fairly. Everyone here is a treat to deal with. I have spoken with Chris, Gary, and Cody, and all are knowledgeable and will explain anything they recommend in detail. I especially appreciate the text update service where you can see pictures of your vehicles progress and any issues they find. Theres no pressure for unnecessary service, and the pricing is fair for the quality. Every service they recommend is practical.

Though the maintenance check and oil change took two hours, the job was thorough and complete. I was thoroughly debriefed on the parts of my car that were working productively and/ or may require some attention. Excellent service! My check engine light came on while I was driving home the other night. I called them the next morning and they told me to bring my car by. I was worried I’d have to leave it there over night (I live an hour away from where I work), but they got it fixed with no issues! 1 fresh ignition coil later, and my car is back on the road! Overall, amazing customer service and I will be bringing my car to them for all my future needs!Edit 1: I dont like that I can only post one google review total, but heres my update!Had to take my car in yesterday for a plethora of issues (oil change, smell of burning oil in cab, brakes making the most god-awful screeching noise, a strange noise coming from under the hood, issues with my check engine light coming on, etc.) Every time I have had to bring my car in, they always get back to me super quick with a health report, and for this visit they were able to get all of my issues resolved within a day and some change. They are very nice here, but the work has to be done repeatedly to get it right. Ive taken three different cars here because they are close to my house, they made serious mistakes on repairs for all three cars as well as not catching problems brewing. Finally giving up on them after they have caused my car to overheat destroying the engine (this is AFTER I spent $$$ to have them fix the radiator, the check engine, the oil, car was in their shop repeatedly and they swore it was fine). DONT WASTE YOUR $$$, go somewhere else

Car would not start at McDonalds. AAA came out and jump started me, but said my battery was bad. I drove to your shop on 41st. dropped the keys and called next day. Manager told me after check battery was not bad at all, plus he told I qualified for discount because I am a loyal customer. I told him I am very surprised because I am 62 and I have gone to various car repair chains and have never been offered a discount, only extra services I need to pay for. Thanks Auto Stream. The AutoStream Car Care Center in Columbia, MD is the best shop in the area. My wife and I have been coming here for over 5 years now for maintenance and repairs on both our cars. We both own previously used cars, so we’ve had them serviced here for everything from oil/fluid changes, to tire repairs and alignments, to brake replacements, to an entire subframe replacement on my Kia, and even more. The work is always done right and on time and they stand behind it. Every time we bring the cars in for maintenance, they do a full inspection and provide recommendations and photos so you know exactly what they see!The team is very kind, knowledgeable, and honest, which can be a hard combination to find when it comes to this sort of work (in my experience). I’m very loyal to the crew and their work, and management (I usually work with Chris) is especially always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we’re informed and satisfied.The prices are fair and they are very transparent with them. There is even a free rewards program to help save a few bucks.The website is also incredibly easy to use to book appointments, and the communication from the team is top-notch. Drop-offs and pick-ups can be flexible and they even have loaner cars available depending on your circumstances.The location is very convenient as well. There is a shopping center and a park (Lake Kittamaqundi) right next door, so it’s easy to kill time if you’re waiting around for an oil change or something small.It’s always tough dealing with car issues, but it helps knowing you have a mechanic you can trust. We will definitely keep our business with AutoStream in Columbia.

Having an older vehicle, I was even more worried about the various hurdles to get my car titled, inspected, and registered in MD. From the second Chris at AutoStream answered the phone, I immediately felt like I was in good hands. While your car is being inspected, youll be able to monitor the status of your vehicle. Afterward, youll receive a detailed report to review on your own as well as a phone call from their knowledgeable and honest staff. Their customer service is absolutely impeccable and is truthfully the best customer service I have ever seen from a car repair shop. They even let me use a loaner car while I waited! I cannot thank Gary and Chris enough for being so attentive and helpful. I am so relieved to have found such a great place to take care of my car at my new home in MD!Update: I couldnt get my old license plate off because one of the bolts was completely corroded. Phil spent a good 10 minutes going back and forth to grab tools, looking for new parts to make sure the plate would stay on, and safely securing both my plates. I dont have the tools to do it myself and I also dont have family here to help. These guys are so amazing!

Scheduled an appointment for my State Inspection. They were very helpful on the phone and were extremely kind/professional. Dropped my car off for the inspection, no wait, no hassle. They texted me a link so I could see photos of everything they did which I really appreciated. I typically HATE taking my car to get looked at or worked on, being I do most of the maintenance myself. These guys (Kyle and Gary) actually made me feel comfortable leaving my car there. Went to pick it up after the inspection, no issues there either. I looked my car over and did not see any oil or dirt smudges (its a white car) which is common when someone works on it. Overall, very happy and will probably make them my default auto shop. Its nice to find someone who is actually honest and straightforward with things.

This is a long review because the Columbia Autostream location deserves it. I wish google allowed for 10 star reviews! As someone who knows VERY little about cars, I usually feel relatively intimidated and ignorant when it comes to finding a car repair shop. When I moved to Columbia and had to face the reality of fixing some overdue issues on my 2005 car, I wanted to find a place that was trustworthy, high-quality in service, and still decently affordable. Trying to find this combo can feel like searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack (did I mention that the extent of my car knowledge is car go vroom vroom and need gas?) Lets just say its easy to get swindled with that level of automotive acumen. So I did some searching on Google and found Autostream.I now live in Rockville and STILL go to the Columbia Autostream because they are so good. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, while also having the skills to take care of my car. I never feel rushed or pushed into making a decision. They provide me with a lot of information and have fair prices. They have an awesome rewards/points system too.Chris was in the shop helping me out the first time I ever went to Autostream, and to this day he is one of the most SPECTACULAR customer service providers I have ever come across. He is attentive and welcoming, but doesnt come across as inauthentic or sales-person-y. When I come in to get work done on my car, Chris makes it feel like I am taking it to my friend who I have known for a long time who also just happens to be kick a** at fixing cars and so are all his friends. Thanks Chris!!This past time I went to the shop, I had to get A LOT of work done....my car has 231,000 miles and I want it to run till it dissolves on its own into a pile of rust dust. I called and they made space for me right then I there. I was helped by Chis and Jesse, and Jesse is just as awesome as Chris! He was accommodating and excellent at customer service and car details.I dont know anyone elses names because I did not interact with them directly, but everyone at the Columbia Autostream is great and deserves raises and promotions and whatever else you give people in the Auto repair world. And Chris and Jesse get cool trophys for being awesome.Auto mechanics dont often get the accolades they deserve, yet they do such important work and I feel so fortunate that I found a place that provides 10/10 service every time I go.
