This is the best place in Columbia or surrounding areas to take your car that needs repair. I have had the best service, honest repairs, inexpensive, work on new tires, travel check, any questions that come up. They are very professional and when you walk in, you are greeted with a smile. Fast and friendly service. I just moved from Oregon and needed a state inspection to purchase plates. My rear brakes were shot and needed repairs and a new part. Jim was open and honest about the time and repairs it would take to make the car roadworthy. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend him to friends and family.

Guys did great work. We live in Wentzville and the wifes car broke down on way to KC. We left it and rented a car. They figured out problem and made sure it was fixed by the time we came back through on our way home. So since i live an hour and ahalf from Columbia i hope i dont have to use again but if my vehicle has problems when im in Columbia ill definitely head there.

This vehicle service shop was the best experience in customer service I have ever had. I drove an hour and a half as it was the nearest listed for my warranty. Of course, my warranty coverage gave the run around on the phone but Jim was so helpful and accommodating and HONEST. If I lived closer I would never take my car anywhere else but here. He was straight forward on what needed to be done and and let me know my options and price points and was even sympathetic to how my warranty company treated me as a customer. There are 2 other mechanic shops right next to J B Auto. Dont go anywhere else.

Our organization has a fleet of 5 vehicles that we are very hard on, and we take all of them to JB Auto. Jim is honest, reliable, reasonable and has always done good work for us.

I brought my nieces car in with a knock in the bottom end. I paid them around $3000.00 to rebuild the engine. 2500 miles later it refused to start, I called them to ask why and they gave me some advice. I replaced a number of parts they suggested to no avail. So she parked it and has been driving her brothers truck. I finally got the time and money to dig in and find the cause, and lo and behold, IT HAD THREW A ROD AND DISTROYED THE PISTON AND BLOCK. They obviously cut corners and did not inspect the rods, they didnt even pull the engine out of the car to rebuild it!! I am very disappointed in the work that was done, and the 3 grand down the toilet as I am not even sure the ACTUALLY DID rebuild the engine. I wouldnt bring them a tricycle to work on. Do yourself and you wallet a big favor and go ANYWHERE ELSE.

Shady people, replaced my engine heads on my truck without telling me what was even wrong with it, I get the surprise bill of 2200 bucks when I all I was looking what was wrong with it. definitely looking to sue
