I’ve been trying to call since Friday these guys to set up a wheel alignment and no one ever answers the phone! I get there was a holiday but I called yesterday and today and no one is answering. I tried to call corporate and they don’t answer either!
Dave took great care of aligning my 08 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Even though it was a groupon, He was still was very kind and gave me the red carpet treatment! Keep it up Dave, Ill be back with my other vehicles!
Overpriced for just front braking pads charge me like $400 plus labor not worth it. I wish that i do other place they charge me $50 for replace the just brake pads.

I am a return customer to this store in peticular. Bill and his staff are doing excellent work, and deserve a raise. I had a power steering issue and was resolved expediently. Terrible customer service.I called in to see if they have any open times for an oil change for today and the guy over the phone curtly replied Monday or after. I was confused because he didnt say No, we dont..... (something along those lines to connect the dots to Monday or after). So, I thought he misheard me or didnt hear me completely and tried clarifying myself once more, but he answered again Monday of after. I tried once more hoping he heard me right this time that I was looking for an appointment TODAY, not Monday or after. He had the audacity to say I answered you three times already, Monday or after. So, finally I realized he did hear me correctly those three times I had to re-clarify myself, but he just didnt want to clarify himself for me who obviously was not understanding him completely from his curt response. You dont answer someone who ask you Do you have any appointments today? with ONLY Monday of after as if I understand your whole context with that short phrase! From my perspective, it sounded like he misheard me therefore kept suggesting for an appointment starting Monday or after. Try speaking in complete sentence next time! Maybe I wouldnt have to repeat myself three times and you can go back to work faster. Please work on speaking in complete sentences so your customers dont have a difficult time simply making an appointment.
Ive been using Columbia Heights PTAC since moving to the Northeast neighborhood - always have had a great experience. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful, and provide helpful thoughts on what they are seeing on the vehicle that you may want to address down the line, allowing you to better plan for future maintenance.Very happy I happened to stop into PTAC the first time I needed maintenance, and wouldnt go anywhere else!

Came in a for a Groupon Deal for A/C recharge due to my air conditioning not being as cold as it should. When I approached the desk, I was told that I was not on the books and must have called a different location even though I called two days prior and spoke with the guy behind the counter. After verifying that I called this location in my call history- the employee said oh, now I kind of recall speaking to you. I was told he could squeeze me in. After taking my vehicle behind the back and performing the recharge and refill of refrigerant, I was told that my vehicle needed 2 additional liters that were already added and that my bill was close to $60. The guy didnt even ask nor discuss the additional need of refrigerant before just adding it and footing me with the bill. I felt completely shafted. Then, after the service was complete- to be told my A/C is still not working because of the compressor?! I took my vehicle down the road for a second opinion and another mechanic said that Precision should have been able to tell from the moment refrigerant is added whether or not refrigerant was the issue because the air gets colder and colder as you add more. A complete waste of money. Im very disappointed and would not recommend.

KEEP IN MIND if you are redeeming a Groupon wheel alignment service with Precision Tune that the wheel adjust is ONLY FOR TOE ADJUSTMENTS(front of tires points inward/outward). Your vehicle will also need CAMBER adjustments(top of tires points inward/outward). So dont get too excited to get a 4 wheel alignment for under $40. Perfect example of you get what you paid for.

The manager here is wonderful. Always friendly and helpful and straight forward with your repair cost. No surprises and if they are unable to, they will let you know. I did a pre-purchase inspection and he made sure I knew the vehicle was in poor condition. Definitely recommend this shop.
Another review said it well: small town integrity. This was my first time with Precision and the service i received was outstanding. All the employees gave me that small-town attention, made sure i was comfortable with the things they were doing with my car, and to boot, were all knowledgeable about their craft.I cant say enough good things about the owner Alan. His time in the service and his many years in the industry are self-evident in how he treats his customers. My family has been going here for the last 5 years, they have done a Great Job making sure my elderly mother gets the right service for her car. They are honest, truthful mechanics and one thing I know about mechanics its hard to find a great one. They are willing to work with you on the cost and educate you on what is going with your car. Dan the new manger since taking over has done a great job on making sure that CUSTOMER come first and not just making MONEY. There is a saying, You can tell about a work place ethics by looking at the Leader. Dan as the manger, I will keep coming back every time and even if its for the coffee they service while you are waiting.

Went in for a Premium Oil Change and Alignment Check. At Check-in, I was entered as a standard oil change and charged for extra oil. Picking up my vehicle I decided to make sure my Lug Nut Key was back in my trunk and it was missing! They mechanic forgot to put it back. Glad I checked!! 1 day later my washer fluid sensor went off. How could I be low? They obviously didnt fill it. Makes me question if they even did the oil change or just gave me a new sticker. Luckily this was a Groupon deal so Im only out $30. However, they will not be getting my business again.
I was serviced for exactly what I came in for and not pressured to do anything more. Everyone is down to earth at this shop. I will be coming here for regular maintenance for my Jeep from now on!

My experience with this Precision Tune location has been very good. The manager stayed late working on my car to make sure I had transportation the next day and even gave me a ride home. On one other occasion when my wipers were non-functioning, they took it apart and found a simple fix at no charge. They couldve have been dishonest and charged me for a wiper motor as perhaps some other auto repair may have done and I would not have known the difference. They did find a problem with my power steering pump and repaired it that very day with a substantial discount. I will continue to take my vehicle there for service and/or repairs.

I told them No they still charged me $20 for nothing. The next day I brought my Truck to Hoover Alighnment. They did my Alignment and guess .What I didnt need a rack and. Pinion!! So you be the judge. I know Im not ever coming here again. You ever need a alignment done with Honest people? Go to Hoover!!

I have been to this place once and I wasnt happy with the way they talked to me and made me wait more than estimated by them.Now I was thinking, I will try again, hopefully for better service.I called and I asked for an alignment and they said> Ok, today at 3pm we have an opening I told them that Ive got the groupon deal. At that moment he changed his mind and told me that I have to wait...1 month!!! Really!?So, just get prepared for surprises from this place and good luck with it...

Ive been going here for a couple of years. They have worked on my 2004 VW Golf quite a bit. In the past I thought I was treated well but not so much. Then management switched. Didnt like the new manager. Now under Jason, I am very impressed and will continue to come back. He will tell you and show you whats wrong. Hes not just a manager he works on the cars too. Very knowledgeable and friendly while still being professional. As long as he is there I will drive from ANY part of the Cities to come to this location.

BEWARE..BEWARE. This place does not deserve not 1 star but I had to in order to warn you all...This is not a good place to take your car if you want total honesty about what is wrong with your vehicle. I was ripped off they told me they could fix my tire rods and they did. I took it back the next day and was given the run around for a week. Took it back to them the following week as we both agreed and left it over night and I was called the next day to come in and I was then told Do not drive the vehicle your engine is going to fall out. After you take $510.00 from me. I would not recommend this place to NO ONE.. BEWARE.
Recently I made an oil change appointment (which took 2 calls because I was told the manager was out the 1st time, why only he books appointments I am unaware). When I arrived I waited with another women for 5 minutes at an empty desk. My appointment was not on the books & I was told over and over that I must have called elsewhere in a rude tone of voice. I was offered that they could squeeze me in, until I tried to verify it would be done before my next appointment. I was then told to, Have a nice day in a nasty tone. After this I verified that I had called this store in my call log and showed the manager who had both taken the appintment and then told me I didnt have it once I got there, never apologizing, but rather blaming me. I will never go back as long as he is there. This is where I used to go for reliable affordable service. After the ownership/management changed hands it has become unreasonable. 1st time in the manager tried to tell me I needed new breaks & roters that were not needed, but after I explained I worked on cars he quickly changed his tone.
Guys work well and prices are fair. Mgr tries hard to fit everyone in. Only thing is guys leave greasy prints all over mr leather door and steering wheel.

Honestly feeling a little mixed about my experience. I got a lower ball joint replacement and after three months the ball joint started to make a popping and creaking noise. I took my truck into have them look at the ball joint under warranty. The mechanic informed me that it was the control arm bushings. Four days later while driving in town my wheel fell off. The cause was the ball joint It was found to be bad from the manufacturer. The manager quickly took responsibility for the part failure and made all the necessary repairs within 48hrs.

Front desk guys was polite, but super slow. The oil change was normal but now Im am sitting here waiting to pay and get my paperwork. It is taking a long time. Now it has become an hour to get my oil change. Thats to long. I literally only have 2 day that I dont work and I really dont want to send my weekend here. They said I needed tires. I wont be getting them fixed here.

Lesson learned. The manager is very friendly and since I had been bringing my vehicle in for oil changes over the course of several months, and got all 4 tires replaced there, I built a relationship and trust. When I heard a rattle in my car, they checked it out and informed me that it was the sway bar link. I was charged $102.32 for a sway bar link and $80.91 for the labor to put it in. With an added “shop supplies” charge of $17.83 and tax, I paid over $200. Less than a week later I started to hear the rattle noise again and it progressively got worse until I brought my car in almost exactly 1 month later. They said everything looked ok, but that it could be the right sway bar link, as they only replaced the left.Today, about a week and a half later, I brought my vehicle to a different Precision Auto location to get a second opinion. They informed me that both the left and the right sway bar links are bad and that is why am hearing the rattle. After asking the mechanic to see the part when my car was elevated, I was surprised at how small it was. Sure enough, you can get the part for about $20. I then called a Ford dealership and they said they sell it for 28.77.With this new knowledge and frustration, I called Alan, the manager at the Columbia Heights Precision Auto, to tell him what was going on. I expressed that I felt swindled and asked if I could at least get my money back for the part. He directed me to the customer service number and said, “We do not reimburse at the shop.” So I called the customer service number and left a voicemail and when they got back to me, the man on the phone said, “Yes there is a markup for the part, but it is under warranty so you can have it replaced at no charge. You will not be reimbursed for the part.”So they’ve got a great setup. They quadruple the price for a part so if they do a bad job of putting in, they can replace it 4 or 5 times without losing any money.Suffice it to say, I will not be returning.
My father usually works on his own cars since he was self employed, he recently got a convetional job and did not have the time to work on my mothers early 2000s mazda tribute when the brakes went out so he took it to this shop. They had the car for a few days and the bill came to $1000 and my dad payed only to find out the breaks were sitll faulty, when he asked for a refund he didnt even ask for a full refund he asked for $600 back since my dad is a bussiness owner and knows what its like to pay employees for their labor, they rejected and lowballed him for $400 under the conditon they put the original faulty parts back and when he called corrperate they told him to bang his head on a wall. Poor customer service all around.
Dont hesitate to seek the services of this people if your vehicle develops mechanical problems. The guys will fix your it with much perfection!

Got hooked by the cheap alignment groupon deal.. brought car in after replacing front struts and completely checking front end. 15 minutes after drop off I get a call demanding 400 dollars to repair a bad ball joint. I decline. pick up the car (wasting money on the groupon since it was burn the groupon or give them 20 bucks for the inspection and go through this again) and brought it directly to another shop who checked the front end and ALIGNED THE CAR! I did not tell them what this shop had said until after service was complete. they said and I quote the part they claim was bad was in fact in perfect condition.this leads to me to believe they are either using the groupon deal to get people in so they can take advantage of them (well I know they are, I ended up with 2 wiper blades for 38 bucks) or their staff is incompetent or lying.
The staff was so kind and accommodating and the work on my car was a quick turnaround. Love this place!
Groupon voucher user BEAWARE. If you purchased a voucher from Groupon to do 4 wheel alignment for this place, NOT only they waste your time but tgey will redeem your voucher at the seen without even looking at your vehicle. Once they redeem your coupon they will start giving you BS scenarios that they may not be able to do the alignment due to defect moving parts. And they will come up with excuses. They are Scammers and Thieves. Stay away from that place. Dont get fooled by 5 stars reviews they probably came from a family and friends.I let Groupon know what happened to me and they were surprised why the business redeemed the coupon without doing the job. They should not redeemed it at the first place and REALLY they should have tell their stories on the phone at the tine setting up the appointment. They decided NOT to and hope someone will fall on their trap to do additional work and pay more than what you just asked for.Im glad l recieved my full refund and never ever will do business with them again.
Went for alignment they said they couldnt warrenty it. Ok. So 20 minutes later after they finished he let me know that my tires would still wear uneven. Im stuck wondering why they would charge for that alignment. Or even explain before hand what he meant by cant warrenty it.
Went in for a front wheel alignment because I knew it was off and just wanted the front wheels aligned. When I asked for a front wheel alignment I was told that I would have to do all 4 wheel alignment if the back was off. I knew the back was ok as advised from another shop that only the front was off. After the alignment was done was told they did all 4 because the back was off as well. I said ok, can I get the print out where it shows the wheel alignment and how much each is off. He told me they dont do that. I have never been to a place that does alignment that doesnt provide the print out to show how much it was off and how they corrected it. Whatever, wont be giving them any more business. If you cant trust someone in small matters no way I would trust in big matters like a engine or transmission problem. Glad I learned my lesson pretty cheap.

I recently did some maintenance on the front end, replacing a tie rod end. I took it in here because they had availability and informed me they could do an alignment by EOD. I showed up ten minutes before close, after dropping my car off at 9am that morning, and was told that I needed the inner tie rod end replaced. I asked why they didnt call, they said they were too busy. I informed them I had just done the outer tie on the same side, and they looked surprised. Thats likely because when you do this and realize the tie rod is broken, you call and get permission to fix on the spot.Took the car home, pulled the wheels off, checked the part they said was broken just to give them benefit of the doubt.. The bellows clearly had not been taken off. Easily known given I had just put a coat of protective grease over it the night before when i did the job.All of this tells me it was unlikely anyone even looked at my car. They did however take the time to drive it around the back of the shop and leave grease marks on the carpet and door panel.Stay away. I brought it in for an alignment because it is not a job I can do myself, and they tried to take me for another $150.Dishonesty in the car repair business is a dangerous thing.
