Ankmar did an excellent job of installing a new garage door opener on the extra bay in our garage. They scheduled the work quickly and the technician was extremely professional. He got the job done in the scheduled time.

Spoke with JR at Ankmar, as we were in a bind with a broken spring, and needed to get out to fly. He was able to make some adjustments to his schedule and get Cruz out to change out our spring. Cruz worked quickly and professionally, to get us out to still make our plane. He also serviced the door, and caught a hitch in our lifter. When we returned I called JR back and he was patient with my 3,000 questions about new door lifters. We have an older machine and he took the time to explain the benefits of both replacing parts and replacing the whole machine. We decided together it was best to replace the lifter with a new one. He was able to make our schedule work with his, and we love our new lifter. Cruz installed this as well per our request and once again did a quality job. JR and Cruz were both great young men to deal with, and we would recommend them to anyone.Chuck

Scheduling was super easy. Annual maintenance program is a great deal. We have heavy, insulated doors - so they get really loud if not balanced annually. Tech called about 20 minutes before arrival and showed up within the scheduled window of time. Doors are much quieter now. A+

Broken spring. First company I called was a week out. Called Ankmar in the evening after their business hours and they scheduled me the next day. Cruz called ahead and was there on time. He replaced both springs in 15 minutes for less that the other company quoted. I would highly recommend. Cruz was great!

Neighbor referred Ankmar. They provided fast and friendly service when one of the springs broke in my garage. Everything was fixed the morning of day 2 of it being broke. I could have asked for emergency service but I had time and they explained how I could bypass the garage opener if necessary. Mike was a great technician. He has the skill and personality to work with customers. Excellent job installing the new springs in my garage. I was not disturbed while working from home. When finished he knocked on the door between garage and house even though the door was open. He reviewed what had done, tested door, reviewed the charge and allowed for a military discount. Very happy with service. Gave their number to family members in case of they need their doors fixed in the future.

GDO (garage door opener) stopped working suddenly. Called a local Longmont service (turned out to be out of Ft Worth, TX). Showed up four hours late; walked in looked up at the GDO (never touched it) and basically told me it was shot and quoted $700+ for a new one. Paid the $39 service call and told him he could leave.Called Ankmar ... showed up next day and on time. The service tech walked in, looked up at the GDO and said I need my impact driver. He walked back in, tightened one of the mounting bolts that was loose allowing the GDO unit to move slightly causing a down force sensing problem. He pressed a couple of buttons and the GDO worked perfectly. About one minute from start to finish! The tech explained what was causing the failure and what to watch for if it happened again. Paid the $49 service charge with a smile and was extremely pleased with the entire process. Ill never call anyone but Ankmar again. Need SIX stars for this review.

What was already an upsetting day, turned worse when I hit the garage door. I called around and everyone was either days out or wanted to charge $300+ to come out. I finally connected with Jr at Ankmar. I was very emotional and upset, however talking with Jr helped turn around my day. He was very patient and understanding, and was even able to get me to laugh that day. He set me up an appointment for that afternoon, and didn’t cost me a ton. Cruz was the tech, he came out and was the exact same way, he did the repairs, and recommended replacing the panel that was damaged. He called into Jr and we got it ordered that day. Jr called back when the section came in (sooner than he expected) he remembered my bad day, and was kind enough to ask that I was ok. Cruz came back out, and did a great job once again, he is very professional and goes out of his way to make sure the job is done correctly. My experience with Ankmar was nothing short of fantastic, Jr and Cruz are wonderful, and represent the company greatly.

I had them check out my door because it was sounding a little off, and rather than try to sell me a bunch of parts i didnt need, they just took care of lubing it and making sure everything else was functioning properly. We needed a new garage door because our old wood one was falling apart. Ankmar gave us a good quote for a quality door so we signed the contract and ordered the door. That part went fine.The installation is where the problems began: apparently the new door is a little taller than the old one so the tech had to cut away drywall above the door opening to make room for the new door to close fully. This cut was made without use of a string line, straight edge, or any other careful method, leaving us with a jagged, ugly cut in the sheetrock above the door. To top it off, the tech left the drywall dust all over the garage floor and all over the outside of the new door.Needless to say, it was disappointing, but thats not all: the door was catching on the door jamb or trim and wouldnt open correctly, which damaged the door seal. The opener was also adjusted incorrectly and was closing with too much pressure, flexing the opener track. Half the times I tried to open the door, it would get stuck and wouldnt open at all, so I called to get a tech out to fix the problem. He came by to see what needed to be done and told me it would be fixed in the next couple days while we were on vacation. We just got home last night and the repairs have not been made.In my opinion, Ankmar does not seem to have quality technicians who do quality work and youd be better served elsewhere.

I had an issue with my door, and it was getting later in the day. I called 3 other companies that didnt have service for 48 hours. I called on a Saturday afternoon requesting service. The gentleman I spoke to was polite and helpful. We set up our appointment for Monday and he worked with me on the time so I didnt have to take a full day off work just a half day. I waited at home for the phone call. Needless to say it never came. I called 30 minutes before the 3 hour window closed. The lady told me to wait till 5 minutes after the window closed if I still had not heard from the rep to call her back. 15 minutes after the 3 hour window closed I called back, since the rep never called or showed. The man, and I say man because he was not a gentlemen, but a rude person, answered and proceeded to tell me I never had an appointment according to the books. No matter what info I gave him he said I was not in the books. I asked how long before someone would get to me tonight, 4 hours he told me. Then he told me I would be charged for a late call! I was furious, but the man on the call didnt care. I told him never mind I would go with another company and he said great and hung up! WOW!

Excellent company, professional, quick, and the best pricing in town hands down! I backed my Jeep Wrangler out of my garage before the door was fully up (in my defense it was super early and I hadn’t had any coffee yet). After calling around and getting quotes and in some cases blown off by other companies, Ankmar was super helpful and several hundred dollars lower than any other estimates. Shout out to Jared and Cruz. Both guys were a pleasure to work with. Jared provide the quote and Cruz did the repair the very next day. I couldn’t be happier about the final result. I’ll definitely call them again if I ever need help in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone reading this.

Not impressed with how the company handles issues with their employees (or doesnt). Ive called 3 times in the last year about one of them employees who lives half a block from me (Colorado Springs, Colorado). Hes parked his company truck overnight in the fire zone on numerous occasions and, most recently, is parking in the end spot of a designated Compact vehicles row. Because his truck is very tall and extends several feet into the road beyond the parking spot, it essentially creates a one way blind 90-degree corner. I called Monday evening about this and gave details of the truck (License plate # and DOT number), along with letting the employee know I had spoken to them twice previously about this issue. She stated shed send the information to a manager and email me about it, however never emailed me. I mentioned its not good publicity for their company to have an employee parking illegally (fire zone) and inconsiderately (compact parking, blind corner).

They dont start unloading your semi trucks until 9 a.m. even though theyre open at 7 a.m.. no respect for the guy who just drove 1600 miles to bring them parts.

The gentleman that came to the home was awesome.

Total disaster from start to finish. Took my deposit and forgot about me. Called local manager who said he would find out where my doors were and get back with me that day. That never happened. I called Denver regional office and he said he would personally find out the status of my doors That never happened either. I had to call and call before I finally saw my doors arrive two weeks late only to find out the wrong panels were sent!! Salesman said he would be here when the right panels came in. He never showed The only good thing about these guys were the poor installers who had to explain why. This company supposedly went out of business in the past because of customer service. History is repeating itself it would seem. Pay more and get a professional company who will do what they say.

Awful customer service. I had an appointment to have a new garage door replaced last week. They were 3 hours late and showed up with the wrong garage door (wrong color and wrong number of panels). I was told they would have to send a door that was in stock down from Denver. Its been over a week and I have not heard a thing back from Ankmar.
