If I could give a zero I would. I signed my husband and I up for a cooking tamales class in September. We arrived for the class only to be informed that the class had been canceled and would be rescheduled. We did not receive any cancelation notice. I have contacted them numerous times by email and phone. Their voicemail is full now and I cannot leave any more messages. They are not responding. This was supposed to be for my husbands 50th birthday. I cannot get a refund, news on rescheduling, nothing. Dont waste your money or time trying to take any kind of course from them!
Shops name is Sweet Addict Bakery! I like the treats and they have classes and souvenirs. ♡
I like it, awesome! open kitchen is amazing, and delicious fresh cookies!
Its unfortunate that this Cannoli cooking class did not live up to our expectation. We were pretty excited to take this class, celebrating my birthday and my husband loves cannolis. Anyway, the instructor whom I do believe is owner of this studio was very plain. Let me elaborate, when I walk in the door of your location I would hope that you would greet me enthusiastically and welcome me to your place. I think you should give an overview of what the class is going to entail and how it will flow. Maybe engage the class to participate some. How about explaining that we will be sharing some of the ingredients on the middle tables and that as a group only making one batch of cream filling for the cannoli. How about walking around the room and engaging in conversation with the folks that have paid to have FUN and enjoy their date night. Maybe dont act like you are in a hurry and cleaning up, but walking around room and getting to know people. I mean this is why you are doing this right, because you enjoy teaching people and being around them. The whole time my husband and I felt like you were not at all excited to be there and wanted class to end as soon as possible. We were so looking forward to this and even looked at possibly coming to another class. That will not be happening, what a let down. Very uncomfortable experience. I was not going to write a review but after I have read the response you gave to other reviews I felt it is warranted to post my review. (looks like other review response has now been deleted). When you pay 60 plus dollars to have an experience it is such a let down that we could of gone and had a really nice dinner instead. Only reason I gave two stars is the Cannoli that we made was pretty good and the studio is cute. Could be so much more if only just be more personable.
Lots of great crafts. Also have a lot of different classes available
I loved the class and got my sister to register for the Turkey Cookie class with me
Local artists sell lots of great gifts here.I got a lot of great points in the cooking classes. I highly recommend this place.
My girlfriend and I signed up for their cheesecake baking class months in advance and were very excited to take it. Upon arrival to the location we were informed that they had sent us to the wrong location. Our ticket told us to go to the colorado ave studio, but our class was in fact being held at the one downtown. So by the time we arrived to the class we were about 10-15 minutes late. We received basically no apologies for this and were just told oh this has happened before. Then we were taken aback by the fact that you dont make a cheesecake in the class at all. On the schedule its a two hour class, in reality it was about 40 minutes. Because the class goes something like this. You show up, the instructor hands you a recipe and then makes the cheesecake herself. The most involvement we had was that we got to pour the cheesecake into the pan. Then she pulled put pre made cheesecakes, had us decorate them, and sent us on our way. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the money.
Overall, worst baking class ever. I was signed up for the 12-2 pm cheesecake baking class, but there was no baking involved at all and it wasnt even the full 2 hours. It only lasted less than 30 mins. And they sent us to the wrong location, so we were late 20 mins. I didnt feel like I learned anything. I walked in hoping to be hands on with baking and actually learn something. We got there and it was an instructor basically just talking and not letting us do anything and it was a crowded room with 8 people in it. She brought out pre-baked mini cheesecakes in boxes and told us to decorate them. This class was $45 for both of us, not worth your money at all. I even tried calling the other location and I kept getting voicemail each time, not very professional if you cant get a hold of the place. Also, the picture listed in the baking class reciept is of a full round cheesecake, we were not promised what we signed up for. Ive even tried calling back to a hold of a manager, but only get voicemail again. Dont attend any classes here, not worth it! This place doesnt deserve any stars. 👎
