You gotta come to Brush Strokes!!! Went to Brush Strokes for Mothers day with a party of 9 people. Very friendly staff. Squeaky clean facility and doesnt have the overwhelming smell of paint. There are a wide variety of ceramics to choose from ranging in different prices depending on size. No sitting fee and paint is included. You get to choose three of your own colors at a time and have two hours to paint. They are very kind and check in with you for any questions you may have. The paint washes off everything. Its perfect for taking your kids to do something fun and crafty. When youre done they take your painted creations to be cooked where you come back in a few days to pick them up. It was pretty amazing to see the before and after. I highly recommend this experience. Even if youre not an artist its a lot of fun for any occasion!!!

Went here for the first time last week. We took my daughter at 3 to Color Me Mine and shes always asking to go back. Since you cant sit and paint there I started looking around. Found Brush Strokes and so glad, a much more personal experience. The owner is amazing and explained everything. Im not one to leave reviews but I love that this is a small business and it was well worth leaving the review. Keep up the good work! We will absolutely be back again. :-)

We enjoyed ourselves there.will definitely go back they have really good prices and whatever price is listed on the bottom of ceramic includes paint and curing that piece. If youre looking to spend time with your children or loved ones this place will be great definitely Im going to be back with my fam I took my youngest son there and we had a blast

Called in to ask about what it would be like to visit this establishment, being we have never been before or done anything like this. We were just looking for a family fun activity I was greeted by a very rude woman on the phone who gave me zero to no information on what to expect other than the response your painting pottery not a price range, time to wait, or what their process is. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ill be taking my business else where.

First time Ive done something like this and Brush Strokes was a phenomenal experience! I brought my son after school and it was a relaxing way to spend time together and explore creativity. I was amazed too that we could finish our projects at a later date without any charge, which gave us space to not rush our art due to closing and under estimating how much time it would take us to paint. The energy was very kind and warm and the ladies working were helpful and lovely to talk to. I love it here and Id love to be able to come and paint more frequently.

This was an AMAZING experience. I can not stress enough how wonderful it was to finally do an activity away from home. Taking two young girls (7 & 9) out for an afternoon of pottery painting was so peaceful. They had a lot of fun. I would recommend this little business to all! They have adorable little figurines, piggy banks, plates, and more. There’s no shortage of options. The phone service is also wonderful and helpful. I will forever have a great memory from here!

Very fun place to go that is and clean family friendly. My granddaughter loved going here she has said many times that Linda the owner helped her to become an artist. I have many pieces that she has created in my garden . The price you pay is on the pottery that you select plus tax no hidden fees.

I have been to several pottery places and this is by far the most inexpensive and wonderful place in all of Colorado Springs.The elder woman who runs the place is an absolute joy and cares deeply about your piece and experience.Wonderful, wonderful place.

I really love coming here. Me and my S.O. come here for a relaxing weekend date usually.Linda and Morgan are kind and helpful. I love all the different pre-made pottery options they have and the choices of glaze to paint on them. If you paint Sat the pottery is usually available for pick up on Wed afternoon. Thats a quick turn around, considering they fire the pieces and then let the kiln cook before opening.

Its a fun place. But Morgan who works there nicknamed me Stir Fry and I dont know how to feel about it. Good painting though. And Linda is the best!

Great atmosphere with plenty of room for larger or smaller groups. Prices are WAAAAY cheaper than some of the places you find in the mall and such. Plus locally owned so that’s good. Linda is so freaking nice and just made it feel like a family place to hang out. Quite nice about leaving pieces to come back and finish later. I like the location since it’s close to a lot of eating places and can bring my food in. Large selection of pieces ranging from animals, fantasy, bowls, jars, cups, plates and such.

What an amazing place!! Linda is absolutely a sweetheart! I was short on planning time for my daughter’s 13th birthday and Linda came through for me with flying colors. I scheduled a birthday party, selected everything I wanted on her easy to use form and submitted it. Very reasonably priced. We had a room to ourselves and Linda and her daughter were very helpful and attentive. My daughter had a very memorable and enjoyable milestone birthday. I was unaware of Brush Strokes and I’m so happy to have found this gem. Linda is a blessing. I highly recommend Brush Strokes for birthday parties or a fun family and/or friends outing.

We had my daughter’s birthday party here. It was wonderful. The kids had a blast and got to create a lovely keepsake. Linda was incredibly helpful. Best of all it was very affordable! We will be coming back here for years to come.

This place is very nice compared to others I have been to. Everything is very reasonabley priced and there are a lot of diffrent pieces of pottery to choose from. They have animals, pots, garden figures, mugs, ect. Another thing l liked was that you can use as many colors of paint as you want, unlike other places where you can only use like 3 or something like that. Linda was very kind and helpful. Would totally recommend for someone who is looking for a calming, fun, and affordable activity!

Best place to paint pottery in the Springs! The owner is so nice and patient, especially with children. They are definitely the least expensive place around, no studio fees. All you pay for is the items you paint, which are very reasonably priced. My family painted 4 ornaments for $20 total. They came out wonderfully! We will be having my childs next birthday party here because its such a great place!

Absolutely love Brush Strokes!! My daughter and I have been there several times now to paint pottery and it is one of our favorite things to do. The owner, Linda, is the nicest lady youll ever meet, and the rest of the staff is great too. Prices are reasonable and the selection of pieces to choose from is good. There are some places in town that charge a studio fee just to walk in the door, but there are no such fees at Brush Strokes! Its just a great small business with a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Turn-around time to get your pieces fired is really quick too, even during the Holidays.

Even though my kids are a bit young they still love coming here. The only downside is telling them you cant take it home after you paint. 😂

My daughter prefers to have experiences and not something store bought to celebrate special days. After much research and as a birthday gift, I brought her to Brush Strokes for a first time experience with ceramics. From the moment we stepped into the shop and were greeted by Ms. Linda, the shop owner, until we left hours later filled with experience and information-this was a truly enjoyable experience. Glad that I asked BEFORE using water to correct a painting error!!! Our projects were not completely painted on the first visit, so we returned a few weeks later to complete our projects. We had more questions on this visit and Ms. Linda was as patient with us on this day as she was on our first day. We left our projects to be fired and will be returning to pick them up next week. Would we come here to do this again? Yes, we would. No pressure to finish within a certain timeframe as long as you return to work on your project within 30 days. No cost for sitting fee/studio time-only charge is for the piece you choose to paint. Very relaxed atmosphere-even with other patrons in the shop working on their projects. We are already thinking about which pieces will be our next projects!

I stumbled across this ceramic paint shop in 2015. Linda is a total sweetheart, her pieces are awesome. My daughter LOVES going here to paint! Its fun for all ages!

I took my 2 year old to paint a cup for her daddy for Fathers day. The owner was kind and helpful and didnt mind my messy munchkin. We had a blast painting and the finished product was great and had a fast turn around. Reasonable prices and no sitting fee was a plus. Will definitely return for more mommy daughter dates

Helpful, friendly and affordable! Under $70 for 6 of us. Most pieces are between $10 and $25, though there were a few that were a little more and a few that were less. There was no studio fee, so all we paid was the cost of the item we painted. My kids loved it!

Ive visited the competition, but this is my favorite store of its kind in town. I prefer supporting small businesses like these, especially whem the owner clearly takes pridr in her work. She is incredible friendly and helpful. The variety of ceramics and paint available is excellent. My daughter enjoys painting here because they offer a table where kids can color when theyre finished painting.

Lots of fun and interestubt options to choose from to paint, whether fingurines or functional items like dishes, yarn bowls, etc.. Owner was very kind and helpful and great with the little ones. Went with a friend and our two 3 year olds. There were booster seats, changing table, and play area with crayons and toys to occupy them while we finished. Everything very organized readily available, including a wide selection of glazes and stencils. The turn around on getting the pieces back is very quick--faster than any place Ive ever been to where its 2 weeks or longer. Was a little hard to find as the sign is written in rainbow letters so a little hard for me to see driving past on a 4 lane road, but now I know where to look.Lots of fun! Will go back.

Great place for beginners or someone with experience. This was our first time at Brush Strokes. My wife and I took her 74 year old mother to do some pottery painting(glazing) for something to do together. We had a nice time. The studio is set up with several tables and easy to sit down with a group and talk, visit, and craft together. There is also separate rooms for groups/parties. We saw a couple of small groups with young children and some with older kids come in to work on projects. Linda, the owner, is wonderful. She gives you as much as you want as far as instruction and stops by to check on the new kids to give them encouragement or tips for success. She doesnt hover over and push opinions on your art choices. My wife and I did a lot of pottery several years ago and Linda runs a nice shop that is welcoming to all and, as the other reviews stated, she is a sweetheart.The cost is up front, the price that is on the piece includes the base choice of paints and the firing. So, if it shows $12, thats what you pay plus tax. A lot of places we have seen charge for every step and some even make you by whole bottles of glaze for the few drops you need, charge studio time, and then a separate kiln fee for the firing. When we came in, I couldnt finish my piece in the first visit and had to come back two separate days to do it, it was a detailed piece and I was in no rush, anyway, the point is that I did not have to pay any extra for the time that I spent in the studio and then I came back and got our pieces. What I paid the first day, for the item I selected, was was my only cost.Plan on a few hours, most of the pottery requires 3 coats of glaze(paint) to get the right finish, so paint, dry, paint, dry, and paint. It is not hard, just takes a little time. Also, you do have to wait of few days for it to be fired in the kiln before you can take it home.
