I have been participating in the Iron Lion breaks for several months now. The team there have been great and it is some of the most entertaining breaks out there. Awesome, clean store with friendly staff. I go for baseball cards but they do a bunch of game nights for magic or other games. Feels like a “boutique” like store to me.For sports cards they have mostly only the newest stuff but also do some great deals online that you can have shipped to you or pick up in store...plus you get points that actually add up pretty quick, I just saved $20 recently!All in all highly recommended addition to Colorado Springs sports & card gaming stores!

Hands down the greatest breakers in the game. Not only are they professional but also very generous. The Facebook group is built off friendship and watched over well. Its a family atmosphere in a group if that makes sense. I have been in hundreds of card breaks with Iron Lion breaks, not to mention purchasing TONS of comic books in their live sales. Andrew, Shelby and their whole staff are hands down the most friendly, honest, trustworthy, and not to mention most reasonable/affordable(actually cheapest priced) place I have purchased breaks/comics in(mind you, I live in Florida and they ship and package everything super securely-and they usually eat the shipping cost on cards 😳). This place is terrible. They price gouge with the scalpers online, charging 3x retail for newly released material. Go to Video Game Exchange on E Fillmore where Patrick actually charges retail. I prefer to support businesses that also cares about the people they serve, both making a profit and getting product to real fans. This country has enough business that are only in it for the bottom line, exploiting customers and encouraging scalping.They will tell you that their distributors charged more, but this is a lie. They get direct just like the other businesses. Just like Video Game Exchange did.

Awesome giveaways, lots of fun events. My friends and I attended a Sunday Commander event and walked away with free booster packs and really had a good time. Nice looking store, good selection and prices are good as well.

I used to enjoy this place for card breaks and all that fun stuff. Just a warning don’t ever complain about not getting cards or the team you get even if it’s joking around. If you do you will get belittled and hear a 20 minute rant bashing your character even if you have been a loyal customer for years. Don’t get me wrong they do a lot for their guest and have good pricing at times but if you say the wrong thing then that’s that, unprofessional from that stance. Customers are allowed to get frustrated that’s part of owning a business. This review is not a reflection on the brick and mortar store as I’m sure it is ran nicely. (This isn’t a one time occurrence I’ve seen it happen on a few occasions) just not the way I would treat people that spend 1000s of dollars on their business. Bumper to 2 stars for based on some of the pricing they provide for people.

This is an amazing comic book and related genre store! Huge variety, very well laid out and super friendly and know staff. My new weekend shopping stop addiction.

This is a very organized store focusing more on new release comics and the board game side (D&D, etc. Im very inexperienced with that side so I dare not say anymore so not to offend, but I did notice a large selection of game pieces and different sets, Im sorry I cant be more detailed on the games) They did have some back issues with a couple cool key issues in a case (which is all beautiful woodworking might I add,) but what they had more than Ive seen at a lot of other places including some bigger stores in Denver area, was new release comics with all of their variant covers as well. It can be hard to find cool variants sometimes and they had all the new King in Black stuff right on the shelves laid out with one to sometimes four different variant covers right next to it. The staff was friendly and welcoming upon entry. Along the shelving, they did have some cool collectible figures and large items while also having one of the cooler Venom displays with Lethal Protector #1 right behind him. So that was neat. Not in the area very often but when I am, if I can, Ill definitely come look for some cool variant covers.

I went to this shop a couple weeks back, very nice shop. I was interested in a couple basketball rookie cards so the sports guy was helping me and looking up his prices on eBay. Nothing abnormal about this as eBay is an excellent price guide for sports cards. He then told me his prices and I made an offer, offer being within $5 of his price mind you, the guy then got very angry at me and told me if I did this with the owners they would kick me out. I picked up my debit card and left. Terrible customer service from this particular individual. I spoke with two other people while I was in there that were very nice. Won’t be going back

This place is a card/comic gem hidden in an obscure location. The place is super clean and thematically furished and decorated while also showing what they sell efficiently and in styleThe staff are super kind and helpful and so are the patrons(so helpful once confused them for staff!) They sell alot of collectables there, pop figures, huge comic section, odds and ends but have a huge pokemon tcg and magic singles inventory as well. They do TCG online pricing so you are always getting the top price for trades and best deal for singles and their checkout service is super modern and easy for the customerThey also host events for the hobbies they sell and the tables are nice and big. Highly reccomend this store

Great place with obviously high amount of attention to detail. Not a spec of dust anywhere and not a single comic out of place. They had a large table of neatly arranged discount items with it of great deals, none of it tattered and beaten either. All their past issues of comics are split between two filing systems: Past Series and Current Series. These are all in sturdy well built and thought out filing drawer systems. No cardboard boxes or anything. Plus every comic is bagged and boarded.

I got up early to pick up all variants of SPAWN 300. I had first went to another comic shop. They didnt have them on them on them shelf yet!! So I came to IRON LION . They had them all and as a plus had all comics already bagged with a back board too!!! Best shop I have been to in Colorado Springs!!

My son and I went in Saturday to just check things out. Great welcoming staff, very comfortable atmosphere. I haven’t collected in 10+years and my son is just starting to collect. There has never been a single time in which the employees were rude or impatient with me. In fact I consider every one of the employees there to be my friends. If thats not enough to get your attention the biggest and neatest comic book and Magic card collection Ive seen in town might peak your interest. For fellow nerds of Magic the Gathering, they also host competitions for all formats to win booster packs. Very cool and well set up to create a welcoming atmosphere of good times.
