On a Wednesday morning it was not very crowded. The mushroom & spinach omelette was excellent. Has very Interesting and delicious cold brew coffees. Very nice “country decor” to match the Black Forest community. Very nice staff and owner. Everything is self serve except delivery of cooked items to table. The automated ordering system is a bit inconvenient. A bit expensive at $33 for 2 omelettes, 1 coffee and 1 cold brew, but typical now of most breakfast places. Highly recommend.

I was in charge of providing a birthday surprise for one of my co-workers today. His favorite food is cinnamon rolls. I reached out to a FB group and heard about R&R Coffee and Cafe so I messaged them. The owner got back to me quickly and was willing to throw together a batch for me to pick up early in the morning on my way to work. When I arrived, the service was friendly and fast. My cinnamon rolls were hat and waiting, and I was able to still make it to work early.I am kicking myself for not having taken a photo. They were huge, so buttery, sweet and perfectly cooked with a little crispy-ness on top and nothing but moist deliciousness the rest of the way through. The cream cheese frosting was to die for. 10 out of 10 I’ll order again!Thank you R&R for going the extra mile to earn a new and loyal customer! I’ll recommend you to everyone I can!

We went to R&R today in the morning with a few ladies to have some coffee. Arriving shortly after 7 am, I wanted to run inside to grab a cup of coffee, but those ladies who already came earlier and were sitting outside, said, that the employee asked to place an order online. Majority of the ladies in our group were in their 50s-60s, some older and it was not an easy task to do it with all kinds of difficulties on the electronic devices. Eventually those 6-7 ladies each ordered a drink and 2-3 of them ordered small toasts/sandwiches. The food and coffee arrivied in about 45 minutes -1 hour. By then some ladies had to leave. That was our experience today.

FOR SALE sign should give anyone pause. (Didnt see it). An HOUR wait for two TINY grilled sandwiches. A side of fruit missing. No ice for two of three drinks on hot day w/no air conditioning. A cook who seems to be on Step 4 of a 12-step program. No sense of urgency anywhere! They do warn of a long wait on paper at table. Staff to guest ratio 4-to-15, not 2-to-40 as stated, though.... unacceptably bad.

To start off when I first wrote my review I was hopeful for a change in the company. I now see based off the reply I got from the owner I will 100 percent never be returning here. A business owner should take responsibility and try to make the situation right. Not make excuses. I noticed five different people behind the register. Not 2. When I finally did get my food 2 HOURS later there was no apology or even an acknowledgment from the worker. If I am spending over $50 for food a customer shouldn’t have to wait 2 hours and get the food and drinks in waves so you can’t enjoy them together. Falcons McDonald’s customer service is 1000 times better then this place and that’s not saying much.

Just moved here and was super excited to find some local places after the barren food landscape of suburban Vegas. We hit the drive through a couple of times for some decent coffee and decided to try the food side. Coffee and hot coco for the kids came out about 45 minutes ago, the lost my chai brew and brought out a lukewarm one when questioned 30 minutes later (double checking the menu it looks to be iced. Weve been here aImost 2 hours and might get some food to leave a review on that but its looking iffy at this point. In case they come back saying there are only two people I see a guy with a hat cooking a girl in tie dye on their coffee bar, a guy running the window, and a curly haired girl in a blue shirt delivering food.

This place is a peaceful place away from traffic and busy of the city. They have a great food menu with options for everyone. Also, they have many options for coffee, both for the sweeter side and the syphon style coffee drinker. They roast their own beans and I approve! The staff were all very friendly and made you feel like this coffee house could become a regular. Their parking lot is gravel, so people that need assistance walking be careful. There is handicap parking and the building is handicap accessible. A separate mens and womens restrooms. Worth the detour!

The food was great. The service really nonexistent. We ordered on the kiosk by the front bar. What I didnt know was that our crepe would arrive 15 min before our sandwich. When I asked the crepe guy where the rest of our meal was. He said, I only do crepes. Ok, so that got me nowhere. I didnt know that any company was staffed well enough to have a crepe only guy. My suggestion, ditch the guy and the crepes. The crepe, pictured, in this review was flat and empty. While the rest of out food was great.

We stopped by for a coffe this morning and went inside. There was about 5 or 6 people inside at the tables and nobody at the counter. They immediately asked if it was for dine in or to go. We told them to go. So they politely asked us to go out to the drive through. Didn’t understand that at all when there was nobody in there and they could have easily just taken our order. So we went out and there were 4 other cars in line. We just left. I live and Black Forest and love to support local business but this kind of poor service has happened before at R&R. They complain that they are having a hard time but I don’t see much effort to accommodate the customer. I won’t be back.

R&R has been one of the few places weve been excited about and been repeat customers to in the Springs. They have excellent coffee and a wonderful atmosphere. They have a terrific menu which is a delight for the whole family when the kitchen staff is on. Their only problem seems to be with consistency. The last time we were there, somebody in the kitchen left abruptly leaving them terribly short staffed and potentially with somebody who didnt actually know how to make the food as it was severely sub-par. I dont mind paying the higher prices for food when its excellent and I certainly understand the occasional pinch or staffing difficulty, but this inconsistency has happened several times now. I hope they work it out, because its still one of our favorite places in the NE Springs area.

We were excited to grab a drink at this cute coffee shop in Black Forest. We arrived and ordered our coffees at 11:14am. Although a few larger groups came in after us, when we arrived there were not many people there. We only ordered 4 coffee drinks, no food, and we didn’t get them until 12:10. I understand a slightly longer wait in a smaller place, but almost an hour is a beyond excessive wait for a coffee. If that’s the norm, that should be stated at the time of ordering. We went up and checked on our drinks multiple times and were just told they were still being made. The coffee was good, but not “wait an hour” good. Definitely not a place to stop when you just want a quick coffee for the road.

Thoroughly disappointed. Order, pay, and tip at the counter prior to receiving any service. Was given water, silverware, and coffee cup at the counter and had to fill my own coffee. No wait staff to refill drinks, you have to do this yourself, only runners to deliver food. Food was severely overpriced for the service and portions delivered, order was over $40 for breakfast for 2 with a 15% tip. I ordered the corn beef hash which is little more than chopped lunch meat over house potatoes, and was oddly sweet. Wife ordered a breakfast burrito that was bland, greasy, and also oddly sweet. Coffee was lackluster given the good reviews we had seen, and not worth the $4 they charge. We will not be returning.

We have been going to R&R for several years but our last few trips havent been the same. We have had to wait a long time for our food to come out and it seems like the quality of the food is going down. We had breakfast this morning and it was sadly our worst experience. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage but it did not come with any sausage. He asked for the sausage patty but did not receive it until quite some time later and he was already finished with the sandwich. The sausage that did come out was cold in the middle and my husband could not eat it. I ordered the hash and it was bland and my toast was so hard that I could not eat it. I will say that the staff was very nice but that only goes so far. We are disappointed and we may not be back.

Very good but pricey. The coffee is an in-house roast and they offer a wide variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks. The food tastes fresh with a local flare and service is reasonably quick. The only thing that keeps me from 4 or 5 stars is the price. Kids breakfast plates are $7+, breakfast sandwiches $10+, cup of drip coffee almost $4, small kids steamed milk $3+. Overall $45 for 2 parents and 1 toddler. For better or worse it seems like they forgot theyre in Black Forest, Colorado...Not NYC or Napa Valley.

This cafe is located in the Southern part of Black Forest. The building is pretty amazing and the views outside and around are awesome. The staff was really friendly and the service was good. My cons about it were that it is pretty pricy for what you receive compared to what you would pay at an IHOP or Dennys. The other con I had was the library area. The room is really cool, however it is absolutely filthy in there. The red chairs under the cushions are full of dirt, food, and hair. There was dog hair all on the seats. The floors look like they hadnt been swept in months. Because of these items, it is an average place in an above average location.
