Their employees do not all adhere to proper mask wear. Ive had one refuse to tie his tie on the bottom after I explained I was high risk. Instead he exchanged it for a face shield, which turns out are even less effective at preventing the spread of COVID. Management doesnt seem to care and send blow-off form letter responses. Ive notified the health department and will take my donations elsewhere, now and in the future. As they requested I replied to them and still have yet to hear they will impress the importance of proper mask wear with their staff. Therefore, my review and position stand.

If you’re having a bad day, try to remember that these people are trying to provide charitable resources to people who would otherwise have none. They’re volunteers and minimum wage workers and they’re working hard like everyone else. Try to be a bright spot in their day, give them a compliment. The smile you give them might put one on you too.It is better to be kind than it is to be right, and when we you give love you feel Good!

E commerce sent sandals that the straps are separating from the sole. I sent 3 pictures and the lady stated every time she couldnt see it. Each different with different compression levels. She thinks shoes arent garbage, Goodwill is paying to get the garbage shoes back.

Ordered a item on Goodwill Auctions, but had yo wait 3 weeks to schedule an appointment. I forgot about it, and it almost took another 2 weeks schedule a new one. I understand having to change things up for COVID-19, but that took way to long.

This place is the corporate/administrative office and houses programs such as voyages, possibilities, your life your way, and other uplifting community types. The staff is friendly and helpful. It does have a drop-off located at the building but does NOT have retail. Its a big part of where all the magic comes from.

This is the corporate offices which house all of the administrative personnel for Discover Goodwill. This is not a place to shop, but houses alot of the amazing programs Discover Goodwill runs and administers. This organization is amazing and helps thousands of individuals each year to obtain things many felt were out of their reach!

I’m NOT an employee but the complaints I have listened to from several current and past employees are all disturbingly consistent all across the board from several different departments and programs of Goodwill Industries of Southern & Western Colorado. Based of reviews I’ve read from Facebook and google, I see the safety of the employees has been and still is an ongoing issue with this organization. It’s definitely the least of their worries. They don’t treat them as a priority unless they need them to risk their lives and safety to travel to work in inclement weather or ward off manic homeless people who supervisors and management are too scared to call the police on. Today’s inclement weather has closed all of the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County’s govt buildings, including all of the courts. In addition to Military installations being closed and some on a 2 or more hour delay. The Colleges are closed. Pikes peak library district, Silver key senior services are closed. CSHA is closed. That’s not even a handful of places that are considering their employees safety over trying to meet quotas or making a quick buck or claim to offer services to people who can’t even get to your programs because of the inclement weather and delayed public transportation. I just find it ridiculous that Goodwill would remain open or without delay despite the extremely unsafe weather conditions and being that all the news channels are advising people to stay off the roads. I don’t think a couple dollars are worth your employees risking their lives And their only means of transportation for $11 which won’t even pay for the damages or allow them to buy a new one. Mountain Metro is even on a delay until 10, so if your employees take the bus, they wouldn’t be able to get to work until noon. You all should be ashamed of yourself for several reasons! The sad part is that you all don’t care about the bad reputation or extremely high turnover rate that you all have and no concern for fixing it. For Shame Goodwill Industries!Response to Goodwill: using your personal time for what should be a snow day is completely unethical, inconsiderate and a blatant disregard of your employees safety and lives. That makes people REALLY want to work for your organization and as for LEAP being your excuse for staying open, it is law that in winter months (Nov 15 to March 15), CSU cannot cut off their customers utilities if they are used to heat their house...so that’s a lie.

They are the nicest employer I have ever had. They have accomodated my schedule at every turn. They reward their staff for good work, and they are super polite when you have issues.Whats more, they work hard to solve problems, the management covers shifts when you cant, and they advocate for their clients vehemently. There are some disgruntled employees, but from my experience they are an upgrade from my last employer. You wanna see real money hungry beasts, go to Kansas.

Update: 5/2/19. I was finally contacted by a supervisor. After a brief discussion, I was approved for LEAP.The people who run the LEAP Office this year are incredibly incompetent. They really just dont know what the heck they are doing. Heres the email I just sent to the Governor.I applied for LEAP via fax on April 1, 2019. On April 15 I received a letter stating they wanted more information. I immediately faxed and mailed the additional information. Ive called them every day since then to confirm they had everything they needed. No response. Ever. The person in charge of my case was supposed to make a decision by April 29th. They didnt. I had also called and was told since I am self-employed and an LLC, I didnt need to send receipts. I did send three months of self-employment ledgers and all business expense receipts for March. I finally was told today May 2, that Ive been denied LEAP because I didnt submit wage statements. They did not ask for that (I did state earnings) and I do not issue myself wage statements as I dont pay myself a wage. In all, I submitted four months of self-employment income. Im assuming I could have just made up an official looking wage statement if they had told me thats what they wanted. No one did. Ive been told so much conflicting information from the people at LEAP or no contact at all. The LEAP Offices are now closed and I cannot reapply which I could have done if they had just contacted me. They did not contact me. The phones get turned off tomorrow. They say sorry, theres little hope for you to protest and you needed to protest before the deadline. One cannot protest the denial if one does not know before the deadline. I wish to protest the incompetence and stupidity of the people running the LEAP office this year. Im screwed because of them. I need the LEAP approval. Xcel Energy generously gives me a $57 credit on the condition Im approved for LEAP annually. Nevermind an actual LEAP payment. This now goes away because of the incompetence of the people at LEAP. Can you please help me and get the LEAP approval. Ive never had problems getting LEAP assistance the past few years when it was run by Boulder County Health & Human Services. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Id rather be trying to run my one-woman small business and support myself than fighting a state agency.
