We were in from out of town, and my wife had left her Hoka shoes at home accidentally. We knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking and so a pair of comfortable tennis shoes were mandatory. 6/2/21 My teenage son has some ankle issues and really needed a targeted solution to keep him healthy during off season training. The staff took almost 90 minutes with us, finding the perfect running shoe. They listened to the issues, observed his gait, explained the different type of shoes, had him try on multiple pairs, filmed him on the treadmill to see where the issues were, installed inserts into his cleats (bought elsewhere) and never tried to sell upsell us on anything. So glad we went in and didnt try to buy a shoe online. Amazing customer service.

Quickest and friendliest return process I’ve ever seen! For whatever reason, my daughter didn’t tell me her new shoes wouldn’t work for her, until we hit the parking lot. The next day, I came into return them, and it was an effortless, friendly, hassle free experience.

Bryan helped me pick out the perfect shoe (Hokas) after being a defunct runner for over two years. We tried on several pair to make sure they were the right ones. I appreciate the amazing customer service and great value as I was kind of in a grumpy mood after driving there from Manitou Springs. It was well worth it! He was patient, kind, personable and made me want to buy two pair just to support such a great establishment. I left my wallet there (I think it fell out of my running shorts) and the woman there gave me a call right away and despite having to drive part way back I was glad that they noticed it. I will surely be back and I highly recommend this branch. The education I received as well made me very happy. There is nothing better than knowledgable co-workers who share it!

My wife and I initially went to Boulder Running Company a week ago and had a very disappointing experience. We posted reviews about our experience online and thought we would never hear anything more about the matter. We were wrong. While the initial encounter wasnt what we had hoped for, it was more than corrected in the end.A few day after posting about our disappointing visit, the manager, Rob, reached out with a truly sincere effort to correct the issue. Seeing as how many business owners these days simply leave some weak responses on social media about being sorry for the experience, and going no further to correct it, we werent sure what to make of Robs follow up. We cautiously accepted his offer to return to Boulder Running Company.Rob followed up after we accepted his offer and set up a reservation to meet with us in person. Rob greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. He immediately apologized for what went wrong in our prior visit and then got busy making it right. Rob took the time to go above and beyond with us - it is quite clear that he cares about his customers, his stores reputation and, most of all, the value of being a caring human being. He was diligent in making sure my wife found the perfect pair of shoes - even insisting on trying more after we were certain that my wife had found the one.If you are in need of a new pair of shoes, whether it be for running (which we dont do!) or just walking, I cannot recommend going to see Rob at this store enough. Excellent service. Bryan did a great job resolving an issue I had with the JackRabbit (parent company?) online service staff. JackRabbit passed me around and delayed response over and over. After a month of back-and-forth they denied having any ability to let me use an online gift card at the local store and left it at that.I told Bryan the issue and he promised he wouldnt leave me waiting around or let the day pass without fixing it. Ten minutes later I left with the shoes I wanted, and the online gift card balance applied to the purchase.Im grateful and highly recommend this store and staff!Future purchases will follow.

Amazing experiance, my wife suffers from planter fasciitis, we made the joice to move to a function over fasion. We met an amazing gentleman, Brian. He listened very earnestly to our complaints over shoes of the past. He recommended a line, no pressure, amazingly friendly, a real person who believes in service and the power of patronage. He worked meticulously to make sure the shoes fit properly and felt good. He was not offended when we asked to stick with our original choice and even offered tips for more comfort. We will break them in over the next few weeks, if the shoes are as good as Brian, we be back for a few more pairs.
Its been a good 5 years since Ive actually bothered trying on good running shoes. Raymond worked with me for almost 2 hours to help me find shoes and inserts that actually work for me. I just cant say enough to this gentlemans professionalism and sincerity. Thank you, BRC!
Went in and was.going to buy shoes, and i asked if i could use their restrooms first before shopping there they sent me to kingsoopers so then i come back and now i cant go in and by the time i get in there i wont even be able to be fitted. Im really irritated by this fact. There was only 2 other customers with 2 staff 🙄. How is that considered capacity.
Stopped in to check out the store and look for some sunglasses that were more suited to running. Brian greeted me right away and after explaining what I needed, directed me to try out the Goodr glasses. By far the most comfortable pair of shades Ive gotten, lightweight, look amazing, and dont slip at all. They also have a huge selection of other products and accessories. Will def be back to grab my next pair of shoes. Highly highly recommend.

Horrible experience here. walked in on a Saturday around 1230 pm only seen two gentlemen and one was a younger guy sitting and talking away to a group of people. The older gentleman probably late 30S early 40S was chatting away to a younger athletic lady. My daughter and I were browsing the shoes and not once were we asked if we could use any assistance even as the young lady walked out the store the older gentleman jumped on his phone, then started chatting away with someone by the register. after about 20 minutes of zero acknowledgement. We walked out and took our Buisness to Dicks to purchase athletic shoes and gear. Great customer service at Dicks sporting goods. and now I see why this place had poor reviews before I walked in...

I thought this place was great and have always bought shoes here. The staff is incredibly helpful. I dont have really anything bad to say. Except being highly disappointed this go around. I had bought shoes the other day for my training and the girl said, if they arent the right shoe. They would happily take them back and switch them. (Now I may remind you. This is when they had the 25 percent off.) Well, they switched them, but to charge full price and not honor that because it was the wrong style. I mean I am not being picky. But it should have been honored at what I bought them for.
This is where we get all of our athletic shoes for the whole family. They are so helpful and thorough. Not only will they measure your feet and watch you walk, but you can walk/run on a treadmill while recording your feet to analyze your form. When I bought trail running shoes, they had me stand on a sloped box to make sure Id have plenty of toe room while running downhill. They even suggest testing shoes on a quick walk/run outside the store. They have a decent selection without being too overwhelming. They also have a great selection of socks and other accessories, as well as a decent selection of higher end running apparel. You probably wont find great bargains here, but you will get great fitting shoes and awesome service.
This was my first visit to this companys store. I walked in and was greeted by Miss Kim and she was very helpful and patient with me. I went through maybe 3 or 4 pairs before i landed on my perfect fit; including running on the treadmill they have setup conveniently for customers between every pair. Kim was extremely sweet and even got a price match making my purchase effectively 45% off...i would go there again and highly recommend asking for Kim.

Fantastic individualized service! I had no idea there was so much behind getting a great fitting shoe. My salesman Ewan really knows feet and shoes and had me do tests Ive never done before to set me up with just the right shoe for me. He greeted me right at the door and focused completely on me for the entire hour I was there, never once excusing himself to go do anything else. The carry only high end shoes. I may have paid a bit more than I would have at other places, but service and expertise like that are well worth paying for. My feel already feel great and I cant wait to see the effect on my ankles and back when I walk long distances or stand in one place for a long time; two situations that have caused me pain most of my adult life. Whatever you do, dont go here just to take advantage of their expertise just to save a few bucks online or somewhere else. Thats just not right. We all need to support our quality local businesses, especially the ones that go the extra mile to help us and earn our business.
I love this store. I have purchasing shoes here for over ten years. I suppose I could buy shoes for less on line but I love the personal touch. The sales people are serious runners themselves who love the sport and I that they know what they are talking about.

I have purchased many pairs of workout shoes at Runners Roost, but wanted to try a different store. I was quite disappointed. I was not greeted until after I had been there for 10 minutes looking at their selection. Eventually, one of the staff approached me to see if she could help. She was very kind, but I wasn’t made to be overly confident in her ability to match me with a pair of shoes that would fit my needs. She offered a few pairs to look at, explaining the benefits of each. Upon hearing that I was on a tight budget, she brought 2 pairs of discounted shoes, and also 2 pairs of regularly priced shoes. She then left to assist another customer. I looked at the shoes she provided, tried a pair on, but decided to leave the store. While the employee provided a few options, I was not made to feel very confident that these shoes would fit my needs.I wouldn’t mind spending $100 for a good pair of shoes, but I need to feel comfortable that what I am purchasing is a high quality product that will suit my needs. I was not made to feel this way.I was disappointed at the selection and the cleanliness of the store. There was another employee there who, after observing her interactions with another customer, seemed to know quite a bit. Perhaps the employee I was working with is new. If so, I certainly wish her the best of luck in acquiring the knowledge she will need. She was very kind and personable, and I hope training will be provided to her that will allow her to succeed.The main aspects of this experience that led me to walk out were the lack of customer service, slim selection, the fact that prices were not listed, and the lack of cleanliness. They were busy with two or three customers when I walked in, but a simple “Hello, how are you?” and “We will be right with you” can go a long ways. I might try this store again in the future, but for now I will stick with Runners Roost.

We came in to get a pair of shoes. No one acknowledged us or made any effort to say we see you and will be with you in a few minutes. It was a solid 8 minutes before we were even acknowledged and asked if we needed help.The guy that asked if wed been helped didnt offer any suggestions about any shoe. He went and got the sizes I needed but when I raised concerns about why a shoe felt uncomfortable, he didnt have any suggestions for a shoe that might be better. He was helping another gal find a pair of shoes at the same time. Which I dont mind, BUT he was actively helping and suggesting shoes for her.I felt like he didnt want to help me find a good pair of shoes because I dont look like a runner and that felt pretty crummy. Especially when the shoes Im looking at are $100+.Weve had good experiences in different stores but this time we were completely on our finding a shoe that would work.
I applied for the Assistant Manager position and was told I didnt qualify but was told my application will be at the top for another position. Ive been there before and was always told because of my 25plus years of fitness, sporting, coaching, running, and triathlons that I had qualifications that would be helpful. Plus over 20 years of customer service. I waited and then got an email saying I didnt qualify for the Assistant Manager position and any other positions at the store or future positions. Ive done over 1000s of races from 5ks to marathons to triathlons, etc. Oh well, I would have thought with my background, experience and knowledge that I would have been a great asset especially at a running store but I guess not. Too bad. Its ok, its a wonder why Amazon does so well...they have my running shoes and everything else i need and then some. Im sure Ill get some slack for posting this message but its ok, best of luck.

Have had great luck years ago. Ran into an employee who found a shoe, but had to order it. He just left helping me and started helping another customer. I called a few days later and believe I got the same guy. He gave me wrong information... That they didnt have any shoes from their website. These are the same shoes I had seen at the store the other day. It was obvious he didnt want to help me.
We spent about an hour with my daughter (6) going through all the different shoes they had available. The gentleman helping us was awesome. Extremely patient and even more knowledgeable. Our daughter has fallen arches and we didnt end up finding a shoe that would be comfortable for her without orthotics, so we didnt purchase anything, but I would highly recommend this store!

Five Stars on all components -- selection, options, location, and value. The strongest component is the staff who are deeply knowledgeable about the products, have command-depth experience in every aspect of running from treadmill to Ultra, and seem genuinely devoted to this bizarre thing called running (in all forms). Almost every product off-the-shelf they can offer first-hand usage experience and/or know a cluster of dedicated users -- everything from shoes to gels to hydration systems -- and race info is usually at-hand. The Weds. evening group runs are fantastic (vendor visits and demos are a plus), and I cant imagine going anywhere else for running gear. Cody and the crew have elevated a retail store into a running community and found a way to add profound value to the art and science of getting the right shoes & gear for whatever terrain or environment you operate in. (Also, J.J. the Weds running guide is absolutely amazing -- power and grace at about 9:00 per mile conversation pace, which seems pretty darn fast.)

Best place to find comfortable running shoes, they are knowledgeable and helpful
6 months ago I was fitted for shoes because of knee pain. After the employee watched me walk and videoed me running, he recommended shoes and inserts. After breaking in the shoes for a few weeks, my knee pain was gone but I still had pronation problems. I saw a podiatrist (doctor) and he examined my shoes and told me they were an excellent recommendation for the kind of feet I have. Ive been doing strength exercises which help, but it reinforced my choice and the expertise of this company when my doctor concurred with the recommendation.
Great selection of running shoes, but help selecting a proper shoe is minimal. No one offered to look at my running form on the treadmill to see if the Hokas worked well for me. I returned the shoes for a smaller pair and this time an employee looked at my form; however, this store doesnt record and play it back, which numerous others stores have done for me in the past. The shoes caused intense heal pain and the employee said it couldnt be the shoes, even though I have no problems with my Brooks. Store was messy with junk scattered all around. The dressing room was dark with no light. Staff were unapologetic and just said we need a new store.

Ive been driving all over town looking for a specific item and I called Boudler Running Company to check and see if they had my item in stock. They said they did and I immediately drove over (with 15 min). After arriving the guy at the front desk says he didnt think they have any and asks if I really need it. (Yes, thats why Im asking for it) I told him I called ahead and a girl said they have it. He checks with her and they search the store, but they dont have any. No one offered to order one for me or help me find one. Ugh. Waste of time and gas.
