RV review - I cannot say enough wonderful things about this shop! We were in Kansas in our brand new Jayco class A when our check engine light came on. I called and Tyler said to come on in! They have full hook ups out back if you break. There’s no question they are super busy but they fit us in and their knowledge and customer service is second to none. Jonathan was amazing and showed me everything he was doing. He kept us up to date. I wished we lived near this shop. If you are having RV issues or need some maintenance this is 100% the place to come for their customer service, responsiveness and knowledge.
Nearly a year ago, these guys fit us in on short notice to install a base plate and Invisibrake braking system for flat towing a Subaru Forester. The cost was the lowest in town I could find and its been working great for over 7k miles being pulled behind our RV. To boot, they let us camp with hookups at the back of the building a couple of nights while they finished the install. Super friendly and professional. Would return for any type of service or repair.
Fast and easy VIN verification at a better price than other places. Staff were very friendly as well. Ill be recommending them in the future!
Love this place! So helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you Tyler and the rest of you that worked on my van. You all are awesome.
Friendly staff. Fast service. Quality work at fair prices
Paid them over $2300 to perform a safety inspection, replace two tires, front shocks and an a/c repair. First trip in the RV I break down in Rifle, Colorado and have broken A/C and my front stabilizer bar is completely loose and it is unsafe to drive. Pay another $1404 in Rifle to repair broken AC and make the front suspension safe to drive. What’s awful about Springs Auto and Truck is that when I reach out to discuss the issues, I am immediately told I have no coverage from them even though they admitted they should have caught the unsafe suspension during the shock replacement or the safety inspection which I paid extra for. I had my wife and two kids with me and all I get is a “sorry”. I asked to speak with the owner and apparently he doesn’t care enough to even call. I end up texting back and forth with Tyler, the service advisor while he tells me he thinks it’s unfair but there’s nothing he can do. I thought everyone should know how this business will treat you if things don’t go great with their work. I recommend reading more Yelp reviews if you still plan on using this place. I have attached the text messages with Tyler. I think he is a nice guy who works hard and means well but was ultimately never going to help me so everyone can see what happens when you have a problem with this company.
Awesome. VIN verifications in less than 5 minutes.
Tyler and the team worked hard to get our parts, so that we could get back on the road again. Their attention to detail was noticeable. The maintenance on our RV required them to get under our bed. Surprisingly, they put things neatly back in order. Others who have worked on our rig have not. Thanks, Springs Auto!
Had VIN verification done here. Quick, reasonable price and helpful staff members
Very good service I would choose them over diesel exhaust readers any day!!
All I needed was a VIN verification. Super simple, even during a busy time. Thanks guys!
Went here to have my diesel trucks emissions test. Staff was friendly and professional.
I do my diesel emissions testing there always quick and painless
Had my Truck service in a quick and timely manner. Price was fair.
They help us right away! Thanks guys.
Purposely break your vehicle do not trust these guys!
In and out for Vin inspection. $10 total.
A++ Thanks for the Vin verification!!Quick and Professional service!!
I missed out on my appointment. But this guys are the best great military discount and service ! I needed my emission done on my f350 and needed a catalytic converter witch my old mechanic took it out of my truck when he sold it to me !
Says open on Google. But apparently someone didnt like me calling this early. It was very obvious they picked up the phone and hung it up.
Best mechanics in the world. Plus my brother n nephew work there.
RV made it inside for fix two days late we after scheduled appointment. Estimate was very high due to labor as we were told tech had to disassemble to trace leaking hose. They told us itll two a few days to complete due to part being on order. I went to shop to get something out of RV, after looking inside RV only thing I saw out of place was a drawer below oven pulled out! Hum?? Its weekend now and weather could turn bad,we asked Tyler to keep RV inside or wed come and get it to keep under our port, he said hed keep it inside. Drove by shop on Saturday and shops closed and our RV is outside !!! Luckily an employee was on site and moved it inside for me. Ok at the end, RV was fixed, all is well, job well done, but feel I got burnt on labor charge.
Warning, Warning, Warning...DO NOT under any circumstances take your vehicle to Springs Auto, Truck and RV Service Center. As a former customer, in good standing, for more than six years I speak from extensive experience with this business. After agreeing on a price I decided to take my classic Mustang in to have a new wiring harness and gauges installed. Thus, my nightmare began that fateful day. After numerous delays lasting more than a year and a half I finally get my car back with not so much as an apology from the owner (Terry). Furthermore, when I went to pay my bill and pick up my car, I was informed it would not be released until my check cleared, which should be no more than a day. While my check did indeed clear the next day, my car was not released until four days later. Lastly, after thousands of dollars, excuses and delays too numerous to count the final insult comes in the fact that my gas gauge still doesnt work.
Very pleasant experience, everyone was friendly and helpful.
By accident, I met the owner at a dog park, she gave me basic info on her business that was exactly what I was looking for. I needed an estimate which they they promptly gave me, while explaining the reasons. I already had a previous computer code P 0206, so I knew what to expect. Their price per hour was lower, and only charged by the half hour on initial diagnosis. They had a website coupon, and after telling me the cost, offered a senior discount. I was able to add a few more small jobs, and then advised it would be around 3 hours. When I search for auto repair shops, and many of us have had bad experiences, I search for trust, value, cost, certification, experience, local family owned shops, and accuracy of diagnoses. This place met all my expectations. They also offered me pickup and delivery so I didnt need to wait. Their staff and their waiting room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. The business has been around for 23 years. There is a reason for that, I am one of those who will continue to go for my automotive needs. I wish I knew about this place earlier. It is located on Galley Road near the US Post Office, just East of Powers, and it is just minutes from my home.
AMAZING SHOP!!! Just happened to find them in the phone book. My mother needed work done on her car and as always we expected to pay some ridiculous shop price. That was the farthest thing from the truth! The staff was SUPER friendly (even came and picked her up when her car was ready) and the woman in the front of the shop, Katie, was AWESOME!! Katie took care of her and was so caring and friendly. Its great to see there is still businesses out there like this one that takes GREAT care of their customers and does it for a more than affordable price. they gained two new customers for life. THIS SHOP IS AWESOME AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN NEED OF SERVICE. GREAT JOB GUYS. THANKS AGAIN!!
Went for Vin verification, quick and easy.
Needed emissions test for my p/u, sign indicated they would return at 3pm. By 4:30 I left and went to another shop
This place is a fraud, Tyler quoted me $223.01 to install a max air fan on my cargo van. After waiting an hour passed my appointment time the tech comes out and all of a sudden he tells me to come back tomorrow morning. I did and then Tyler comes out with a totally new quote thats now doubled to $440. They are a joke and scam
General purpose mechanic. Willing with RVs, nevertheless, is not an accomplished dealer-level RV expert.
Great people!! Been going to them for years.
Staff in the front are great. But thats the only good thing about them. Their techs have had three chances in the last year to fix my oil pan gasket. They have failed every time. They overcharge, and they cant seem to get it right. Dont bother with them.
Driving cross country w our trailer and the flush valve went out on the toilet. Meant we couldn’t use any water in the trailer at all. Called Premier RV in Colorado Springs and they weren’t able to get us in that day but referred us to Spring Truck and RV Repair. Called Spring and they got us in right when we got into town. Got the part, fixed the toilet and had us back on the road in a little over an hour. Great service!!!
Got the vin verification done asap. Efficient and fair price.
Like this place. They are very professional and helpful! Work always done in a timely manner at a fair price!
I took my car in for some help working on it and they did great and ended up having to take it back and they took care of it right away. I will definitely be bringing our cars back here. Very friendly and great work. Thank you so much
I went in with my car, asked to have the fuel relay in the fuse box checked, they told me that it wasnt that, that if the fuses were burned out the car wouldnt start. They checked the fuses? What about the fuel relay? If you want to charge a diagnostic fee, charge one. I took it somewhere else and thats what it was. Im a lady, but not a stupid one.
I have used Springs Auto for the past 10 years for minor and major repair. The labor rates are very fair and I appreciate the personal attention to detail from all levels of the organization. I am always keep informed of the maintenance progress and advised of unforeseen issues and how to address them. Always a positive experience. Highly Recommended!
Great service and great people! This is the only place Ill take my car for repairs and oil changes. The staff is absolutely amazing too. I highly recommend this place to everyone in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Took in a 1970s trailer to get the break lights replaced and possibly have them fix the front awning that was damaged by wind. I explained I am in the military and spend allot of time in the the field. After about a week they call call me with an estimate of almost $4000. They say the trailer needs things I never asked them to inspect, such as wheel bearings. The wheel bearings were barely a year old and had less than a thousand miles on them at the time. I declined service initially, because I felt I was being ripped off. I call back five days after declining service and ask about how much it would be for the bearings. I am informed its not the bearings, it is the hub assembly. I asked why they took apart the hub assembly when I never had that on the to do list and they said they didnt. They said they did not disassemble but could tell it need to be replaced, and explained my wheels could fall off if I drive it as is. The gentlemen I talked to said he would call me back later that day with an estimate. Mind you during most of this I am in the field or preparing for the field. Two weeks later I get a call asking if Im going to pick up my trailer. I ask if the hubs have been fixed and the gentleman informs me he doesnt know what I am talking about. I tell him the events from above and he apologizes that no one got back to me. He says it will be $270 + the $130 diagnostic fee. Seems high but I agree as I just want to be done with this place. Twenty minutes later I get a call informing me it will be $700 because they are charging me $300 for storage. I ask how am I getting charged storage fees for a month when I was assured they would not be assessed without me receiving a call to tell they were being assessed. The guy at the desk says he will talk to the manager. Fast forward almost three weeks I receive a phonecall saying that the splines on the shafts are so worn they will have to be replaced, possibly the entire axel may need replacing. I inspected the trailer when my wife bought it and it has smooth shafts, not splined. I ask them how many spline shafts they are and the kid at the front desk says Im not sure and I said can you tell how much it will be to replace the entire axel assembly. He says he will call me back later that day. Two days later I call them back because they still havent called me. I am informed that the shafts are in fact smooth by design but should be replaced, at a cost of over $900 before parts. I let them know to just replace the hubs for the agreed upon $270 and am informed they are not replacing the hubs but repacking. I pick up my trailer and they charge me $692 (after a military discount of $35) for repacking my hubs, a task that took them almost two months.
Got propane there people were nice
Nice guys! I have been taking my car to this shop since I moved to this area. They have qualified and very honest mechanics. Their prices are affordable and customer service is top notch.
Great service and friendly staff. Ill definitely be back for my next service!
Took motorhome in to service generator,, cost for diagnostic was $145.00 ok they told me it was timming chain so i said ok..looks like the generator was not removed no hand markings on generator i noticed normally it would be wiped down ..then i was told timming needed no adjustment.. ok they said it was carburator i said ok ..i knew a cost of carburator from local rv parts place in falcon before i took the motorhome in repair place.. i called which it would have cost me $497.00 ..i thought that is what they would charge me for it however the had charged me $605.00 for carburator and yet they got $100.00 discount so it cost them 397.00 for it and a $4.00 plug which i was charged $8.71 and a filter which cost $13.00 was charged $27.00..and charged @$145.00 per hour 8 hours of labor ..and got it back after paying $1753.80 the generator not even working when i got it home.. was told after i took it back it would cost $950.00 for extra parts plus labor time i said no ..this place will take your for your money and not very trusting i never seen a diagonastic report on generator only was told what the problem was via phone call..all you RV owners do not take to that place do your research .. bad bad bad service they deserve not even one star ..terriable period..i got screwed lesson learned never again.Terry never called was ignored and it does not take 8 hours to diagnostic and put on carb that was overpriced .. i paid $1160.00 labor just put carb, plugs on generator there is a problem and generator not working..read the reviews and it shows there actions in how you will get screwed i had failed not to read before i took it in.. my fault and will report it to the BBB ..
Went out of their way to ensure that my trucks brakes were functioning correctly through multiple test drives and answered all my concerns. Didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need, and explained the issue with the original parts from the vehicle when I arrived to pickup. Very quick service and professional quality. Would definitely take the truck here again.
Great service. Needed help getting my truck emissions tested that day and they helped work me in no problem. I’ll be doing business here for any services on my truck from now on.
Make sure you get there early as they fill up fast!
Chris and Andreas were awesome and very helpful. This place was very clean and the people were very professional. Would totally recommend this place to my family and friends. Thanks guys!
Closed early with no explanation. Wasted time and gas.
Had my car detailed and it was a great job at a great price. There mechanics did service work on my vehicle in a fast time. There service is great wouldnt recommend any other place. I had a clean car and serviced
I think they are a NAPA business or dealer. I know this business because my truck just shut down and it wont start. It was close to this business. They helped me to push the truck and kept my truck overnight. My truck is under warranty but the dealer was away. I called the next day and the towed the truck. Seems very flexible. Did not have a lot of interaction, but they did their job and were helpful and in these days this is a good sign and we can have more like that.
I bought a used vehicle and asked for 3 things: an overall safety check, check on idle/stall issue, and loose steering. They quoted $900 for basic spark wires and carburetor rebuild. No cap, rotor, or plugs - like $125 for just the wire kit! They said the steering was a worn arm, and I regret paying $800 for parts/labor because my steering is STILL loose - no change.I picked it up on a rainy day and wipers didn’t work. Funny, they worked when I left it. Then the mechanic pulled it out to check the wipers and a tail light was out! What kind of safety check doesn’t verify the lights?I had to be at work, so I texted the issues and no reply. They got their money so they don’t care about making it right. NEVER again - and I hope no one else falls prey to their shabby con.
Service Appointment went well, our RV was serviced & inspected and road ready in less than a full day. Thnx
This place is amazing. Loved the help I received. Very thorough and attentive. Would definitely recommend..
A hidden gem. Get your bbq propane refilled here! So much cheaper. They can top off a bottle or fill an empty one.I plan on checking out their service for my SUV soon.
We have been customers at Springs Auto and Truck for the past nine years and have had cars, trucks and campers repaired by them. I have also had Springs Auto evaluate a few cars that I was going to purchase and they saved me from purchasing a car which needed expensive repairs that I would have not discovered on my own. Our experience with Springs Auto and Truck has always been that they are very fair and honest.Edit: 4/12/2014 - I appreciate that everyone is busy - however we have had a car in for a repair for two weeks - when we were quoted one week - sometimes they are too aggressive with their estimation of how long things will take. To me it would be better to say two weeks and get it fixed early rather than say one week and then we have to ask every day if it is ready. NB: When we got the car back it was perfect - the work was great - but in my mind they just need to keep in better contact with the customer.
I use Springs Auto for my personal vehicles after experiencing such wonderful service with the fleet services for my place of work. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family. The price is competitive but better than that, the service is hands down the best out of any auto repair/maintenance place in town!
Springs Auto and Truck Service took awesome quick care of our storage truck. They even gave me a better price on new tires, than the tire stores! They have also patched up a hole in the top of our truck before also. We will continue to use them for all of our maintenance and repairs. Thanks! Douglas Marker, Manager, A Storage Place, Colorado Springs.
These guys are TRUE gentlemen. They were amazing, I locked my keys in my car at work. They came to unlock it immediately. My Vehicle is very hard to get into and they unlocked it in under 20 minutes! They were Pros that knew exactly what they were doing. They were so kind and overly nice I would recommend them to anyone and I will definitely be taking all of my vehicles there for repair from now on.
Fast service, friendly people.
Do not trust these people with your vehicle: I have never seen such dishonest and incapable mechanics. They charged me excessive costs for diagnostics and a simple exhaust repair. They never performed the diagnostics, charged me for OEM parts but installed cheap aftermarket parts, failed to correctly install the exhaust three times, and tried to hide a large dent they put in the side of my vehicle. They charged me over $1500 for simple work they failed to do correctly, and caused thousands of dollars of damage to my vehicle.
I had to have my engine replaced and needed my car back quickly. They stayed late to get it done. They did a great job. Couldnt be happier. Thank you Bret and all you guys! Highly recommend!!
Good place to get diesel emissions testing done.
I took my 2008 Honda CRV in for 2 new tires, an oil change, and to have a funny noise diagnosed. The service manager got me the best possible price and quality of tires, quickly diagnosed the funny noise and worked with my extended warranty contract to get the repair costs covered. They were very reliable with their shuttle service and communicated often and clearly about all of the services they performed. Their mechanics were very friendly and the shop was organized & clean! I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat- being a single mom, I feel a little apprehensive when dealing with these kinds of issues- like someone will try to take advantage of me or something- these folks treated me very well!
I recommend anyone to get there car or truck repaired. They are very honest and do very very good work. I have one motor rebuilt turned out very good. Im having a another rebuilt as Im writing this review. A cadillac northstar engine so far its turning out very nice. The head mechanic Ken knows what he is doing. One of the best shop that I have found. If you do business with this company you be sorry. They Will treat people right. I have heard other good reviews from other people.
We take our 2010 Traverse there every time we need an oil change. The staff is friendly and polite. My service was completed in a timely manner and was ready to pick up at the time they told me.
Felt over charged. Replaced a Ford 7.3 fuel bowl drain. Charged 1.5 hrs for what repair guides and video show as 20min job. Could not get an explanation why the labor was so much. Hopefully, it last.
We brought them the repair from hell!!! We originally brought them our truck from another person, who completely screwed us over with an engine build. Ken became our mechanic. He not only tried to fix their screw up but we were forced to sue the original idiot but they came to court to testify. Also they helped us win our case. Helped us with direction of the new engine. Poor Ken found even more issues once the old engine was out and before the new one could go in. Now a nightmare is starting to become a dream again. Thank you Ken and Springs Auto for all that you have done for our family!!!! Our words can never express our gratitude for all your help and services!!!!! I would recommend them to anyone!!! No extra cost and they keep you 100% in the loop and open door!!!!
Took are truck to Goodyear and was quoted over 1000.00 was kinda skeptical and decided to get a second quote talk to Joe from springs auto and too my truck in .WOW was i surprised when my bill for repair was only 61.00 Yes 61.00 and had nothing to do with what I was told at Goodyear.Very nice and professional service is what I got from springs auto.nice job to the whole staff!!!! Word of advice always get 2 quotes and if possible let this repair shop be the 2nd shop you go to thanks . Very happy with service.Robert
Very friendly but it took more time then we expected. I think now that we almost have a new RV. I do feel that they corrected and fixed every thing that needed to be done. We came in to have our brakes checked and the tires checked as they were six years old but had just over 30,000 miles on them. Now our brakes are fixed and we have new tires plus fluids that needed to be changed.Thank you for your concern. Bud and Beverly
Be very careful with these guys. I took my Rv to have them fix a couple of items under the Good Sam warranty. They wanted to charge me 100% above what I could buy the part and 50% more than the Insurance would allow. They also wanted to charge me a flat $150 diagnosis charge. I complained since they did not need to diagnose anything since I told them what was wrong, so they dropped it to $50. So I ended up paying $180 instead of the warranty deductible of $100, I checked with 2 other repair shops and they would have done it for the $100. I tried to have them have their manager call me to explain the extra cost, but he decided my business wasnt worth the trouble....
I normally came here for vehicle repairs and break changes. Today I had an appointment to check the chirping and clacking sound under my car as well as my breaks were still squeaking after they changed them out a few weeks ago. They call me saying my vehicle is ready for pick up, but as soon as I leave the parking lot and stop at the first light (with my windows down) I hear my breaks screeching as well as the clacking sound under my vehicle. That only tells me that they did not do their job or find a proper diagnosis for my concerns about my vehicle. I come back and i am obviously irritated. I hand the keys over and the rude mechanic took it back for about 20 mins, comes back out hands me the keys and says there, its fixed. I got into an argument with him about how rude he was and threatened to complain to the BBB as well as the FTC. I left furious. The manager then called to apologize but they have already lost my business. Please be aware this was MY experience. It does not take much to lose a customer.
This company is so trustworthy and efficient in fixing the problem as well as talking and showing me the issues at hand. Will differently recommend Springs Auto & Truck service to family and friends
I went there for an oil pan gasket replacement. It still leaked after an $866 bill. I got a second opinion to confirm. ABS light came on too when I picked it up. They wrote it as receiving it that way. Wrong.I went back to see what can be done to fix this issue. They were ready to take more of my money. No thanks.
I have been going to springs auto and truck for quite some time, no matter the hiccups they immediately take care of everything and do their best to satisfy the customer. Especially Richard. They do great work in a timely manner.
Great staff, clean shop, fantastic service & knowledgeable. Would recommend to family and friends however we are from out of state! Luv Colorado
Ive always had good service. They are fast and efficient with my vehicle.
The place does all the work on our diesels, id recommend them!
Excellent mechanics on duty very safe place to bring your car and very high quality Up to Date Equipment and Services too
Just picked up my American Eagle Motorhome that they repaired replaced fuel pumps and a exhaust manifold. I would recommend this shop to anyone with a diesel pusher. I have spent 30 years in the truck busines and I know the difference between parts replacers and mechanics. These guys are mechanics. Special thanks to Kim who is one of the few Spartan certified chassis techs.
I have waited a couple months before writing this review to allow myself time to calm down from the extremely disappointing experience of Springs Auto & Truck service center / RV.If you are in need of service for your Coach and would like quality work, and peace of mind when using your RV, please read this entire review. You will be glad you did.My Coach was scheduled to have the refrigerator, electric hot water heater, and electric stairs diagnosed and repaired if necessary. An oil change for the Diesel engine and generator were also requested.I informed the receptionist the Coach was not winterized, and must be kept indoors while in their possession. She told me this would not be a problem.I delivered the Coach the first week in November, the weather was in the mid 20s. I was contacted later that afternoon by the receptionist, and asked if the Coach was winterized? I told her no, and asked her to make a note of this. I was contacted by the shop manager 2 days later with the diagnosis, informing me the charge to repair the issues would be $6,700! After speaking with the shop manager and approving the repairs, he asked me if the Coach was winterized... Had my Coach been left outside for the past two days? I told him the Coach was not winterized and that I had reiterated this to the receptionist twice. I also asked if my Coach had been left outside, he replied no.The service on my Coach completed over a 2-3 week period. When I picked the Coach up, it was freezing outside so I immediately drove the Coach back to its heated indoor storage. When I had the Coach inside, I began my inspection. Oh boy! I found the refrigerator vents on the outside of the slide were not reinstalled correctly, and was sticking on one of the corners. If I had not noticed this, the wind may have blown the vent off or rain would have entered the back of the refrigerator area, and possibly the Coach. They also added a large scratch down one of my bay doors, curb checked one of my rear tires, lost one of the painted plugs which hold in the refrigerator vent on the exterior, and left the Coach with grease on the floor inside, as well as the exterior bay doors. Who does work like this? I immediately ran water through the entire system to verify there was no damage to the water lines in the event they had not kept their promise of keeping the Coach indoors. Thank goodness the water lines appeared ok.I called the service manager one hour after collecting the Coach and informed him of all the problems associated with their work. He apologized and told me to bring the Coach back so they could make all the necessary repairs. I told him it was to cold, he replied bring the Coach back at your confidence and we will honor all repairs. It was like he knew they had damaged the Coach. After three weeks of freezing temperatures, I was finally able to get the Coach back to them.My Coach is stored in a valet storage facility, which means the owner is the only person who drives RVs in and out of the facility. I was contacted by the owner of the Coach storage, and informed the Coach had a rough start. When I arrived to the storage, the Coach would not start. Batteries were dead. I opened the battery bay where both house and start batteries are located, and found a cable disconnected from the system. I tried to determine where this cable went without any luck. I was able to start the Coach via a jump start from my diesel truck. Post exceeded character count. Continued... See all posts. Yelp Review.
They were so nice. They got both our truck and camper fixed within a day. They also rented us a vehicle for $10 a day. Lastly, they let us stay in our camper overnight and hook up to their electric and water.
Springs Auto & Truck saved me!!!! I got brand new brakes on my RV in my town in North Carolina before making our roadtrip to Colorado. After a week of the new brakes being on they fell apart. Springs Auto & Truck got me right in to fix the problem. They fixed the brakes and wrote up a report for me with pics to use in my case to be reimburse for the work done here in North Carolina. Joe was understanding and patient with my questions and with my vintage vehicle which can be VERY difficult to find parts for. I can not say enough good things about Springs Auto & Truck starting from their kindness, honesty all the way to the GREAT price to get the work done (half of what it cost me to put the original set on in North Carolina)!
This place is a joke. DO NOT CONSIDER USING THEIR SERVICE!! My roommate brought his car into them to have them repair it, they diagnosed the car and determined it needed a new timing belt. They proceeded to string my roommate along over a 2 day period continuously telling him that they have not started on repairing it yet but that they would get to it the very next day. At 3pm on a Friday they changed their story and told him they wouldnt get to starting the repairs until sometime during the following week. Needless to say the decision was to have the car towed from their garage to Meineke. When the tow truck driver showed up they held the car hostage until they received a payment of close to $160.00 for what they said was for the diagnostic. Meineke was not only able to get started on it right away, but they also charged almost $600.00 less than what was quoted by Springs Auto & Truck. Consider somewhere else before even thinking about going to this company.
I went to have an emissions test done on my 2013 Kenworth equipped with a MX-13 Paccar engine. They got my truck in very quickly. However, at the conclusion of my vehicles test an office employee told me that the test was complete and my vehicle failed due to a check engine light that came on during the test. I was told if I wanted to find out why the check engine light came on I would have to pay an additional $138 for the technician to plug in and read the code. After paying them $100 (for the failed test only) and leaving there facility (frustrated) I could NOT get my check engine light to illuminate during any road test that I performed and promptly return to confront Springs Auto about the issue that they found while testing. They told me that my truck passed the emissions portion of the test but failed due the check engine light coming on while performing the test. As soon as the vehicle ignition was turned off the check engine light would go off and would NOT return. After doing much research on how this could happen (seeing how my check engine light has NEVER come on before ) I decided to take my truck to Exhaust Readers on N . Nevada. They got me in very quickly and performed the same test. My vehicle passed!!! Their tech told me that the reason for the check engine light (during the test) was because the ABS sensor detected that one axle was rotating while the other axle was not which will cause a ABS fault in the ECU and in turn will cause the check engine light to illuminate. This can easily be confirmed by plugging into the ECU and reading the check engine light code(which was NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE at Exhaust Readers)! I was relieved and happy to pay Exhaust Readers $80 as opposed to $100 and a free copy of the Paccar/ Kenworth statement of fact provided by Kenworth and the state of Colorado explaining why the check engine will illuminate during an emissions test. Many costly things could have been avoided if Springs Auto would have been better educated and updated on how to correctly performed emissions test. My advice, don’t waste your time with a company that is still learning. Take it to a professional like Exhaust Readers. It will save you time and money!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF LIKE USMy wife took her 97 f350 in because it was leaking diesel on the top of the engine. Was told by the Ford dealership the repair would cost 250$. Went here and they did a fuel pressure test and said its the fuel pump leaking. At this point its leaking pretty badly so she decided to trust them instead of driving across town with a fuel leak on the engine. They repaired the fuel pump(supposedly) at a cost of $720+ 550$ of that in labor alone- next day we get back home to far south of pueblo and its still leaking.Wife takes it back up there and they run it for more then 45 minutes - then spend the next 2 hours working on it- my wife is told its just weak hose clamp and it was leaking from the hose. Told her that as a courtesy that they wouldnt charge her for the hose clamp or installation. They never had her sign off on the repair or approve it like there Phone line says when you call in /are on hold. When i called about it the lady i talked with had no sympathy whatsoever - no concern that there negligence could have resulted in a fire And did not have the part they replaced even after my wife expressly stated her intent to have the old broken part. My husband brought his Durango in to have his rear brakes looked at...they fixed the brakes just fine, but let my husband know that there was a slight leak in his power steering pump. Within two days the power steering pump was pouring out fluid. Seemed strange to us that there was never a visible leak (underneath the truck after sitting for lengthy times) until after they told us there was a leak. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, and chalked it up to coincidence. We then brought my car in, paid $50-something dollars for diagnostics on the front suspension. We were informed at that time that the control arm was bent, and they wouldnt be able to diagnose anything else until after the control arm was replaced, but they would call me after they put it on to let us know if they found anything else wrong. Fine. I brought them my car, they called me a few hours later telling me they replaced the control arm and aligned the car-it was ready for me to pick up. I ask them if they checked to see if anything else was wrong, the person I spoke to said yes, and they found nothing else wrong. I pick my car up (the bill was $475+ tax) and within 1 mile the car starts making a loud vibrating noise and the car pulled horribly to left (it pulled slightly to the right before the control arm was replaced). I had my husband drive it, and he said to call the shop. I called, they had me bring the car right back. They lifted it up and looked at it. A different mechanic from the one we normally spoke to took my husband for a ride and told him the wheel bearing needed to be replaced and then the car should be realigned. We were also told that the vibration is from my rotors being warped. I asked why these things werent diagnosed when I paid to have the car DIAGNOSED, I simply received a shrug, and the quote for the wheel bearing - $375. Wow. Ok, so I bring my car back to have it realigned and am told that something else is bent and that is why it cannot be aligned. Wait, what?! Why wasnt this seen the first time you aligned it...after you replaced the control arm and re-aligned the car?! I dont think they ever even aligned it. Dont you test drive the car once you have repaired it? Why couldnt you feel the pull to the left and the busted wheel bearing? Im lost. I am sorely disappointed. I feel like we have been jerked around and treated like we are idiots.
The service was fantastic. Michael was very polite, considerate, and knowledgeable. It was a relief to have someone who could fix the problem properly.
Excellent service.Will return for sure
Horrible. Wrong diagnosis and $4k later, truck still not running. Problem? Bad engine. Why would you do $4k of work on a bad engine? Been asking to speak to a manager for weeks and no call back.
They provided great service and helped me and my family more then I could ever ask for! Truly great a place!
I highly recommend this shop, i had electrical work done, they were honest and the price was right. i say honest because i knew what my issue was, I didnt give them details and they got it right, never tried to add on any services, and nice clean work in my truck, also friendly front desk staff .
Very happy with the mobile tech they sent to repair our motorhome!
It took 2 hours to get a oil change, with an appointment. Once I had the oil change, the lady still had to do my paperwork, then I went out to my car and the technician stopped me to tell me he forgot to check my tire pressure. Then the oil filter popped out, making me call them and get it towed in to get it fixed. Then I left it over night with them to get the oil redone and the engine cleaned telling them I would be back at 8am to pick it up. I should up at 8:20a and it wasnt done. Plus they didnt clean the engine so my car smelt like oil for the next week.I have more free oild changes there, but I am not going back. The people are friendly, but obviously dont know what their doing and customer service is not their strong suite
They always take care of you for good price for good work.
We were making a trip from Myrtle Beach, SC heading as far west as Las Vegas, NV, traveling through Colorado Springs, CO, when the front passenger-side tire on our motorhome began slowly losing air. I called Springs Auto & Truck Service Center at 8 am and spoke with Carli concerning our problem. She immediately said to bring the motorhome in and they would look at it that afternoon. Since we wanted to do sightseeing while in town I asked if we could drop by first thing on the morning we planned to leave and she said to be there by 8 am and they would look at it first thing. In just over an hour Scott diagnosed the problem as a leaking valve stem, replaced it and had us back on the road in under 90 minutes. Not only did they fix the problem but they accommodated us so we could see the sights in town, per our original plan, and 750+ miles later the tire is still holding pressure. I highly recommend Springs Auto & Truck Service and would use them again. With any luck theyll open a shop in Myrtle Beach. Thank you Carli, Scott and your entire team for keeping our vacation on track!!!
Absolutely the best service Ive had at any auto shop. They were straightforward and honest about the services needed and even worked with me to prioritize the work I needed to make sure I could work within my financial limits. They got me in in a timely manner and let me borrow a company van while they were working on my vehicle so I didnt have to lose hours while the did the work. Also they went out of their way to thank me muktiple times for being a veteran and offered a mikitart discount! Truly Colorado springs best auto shop!
I took a Chevy Suburban in for an easy repair, oil cooler lines and an oil filter adapter gasket. They are very expensive and the job they did was substandard. The oil cooler lines were installed correctly, but they forgot to reinstall a support bracket. The oil filter adapter gasket was on my bill, but when I checked it a couple of days later, it still had the old gasket, never touched it.They had the car for the entire day and the shop manager made it sound like he was doing me a favor by rushing it.I wont be back.
