Staff are friendly and helpful. The store is quite busy. My only negative observation is, several times I have visited and the specific item I wanted had limited choices. (Socket sets and combination wrenches specifically on my visit today) I did manage to find alternative items to what I had gone to get, so it wasnt a wasted trip. The quality of most of the tools they sell seems to be better now than when these stores originally opened.

You can beat the selection of items or the prices. I have never been disappointed with any of my purchases. The staff is always friendly and eager to help.

As a 1st time customer (woman), i had a pleasant experience. I interacted with Taylor (manager) and she was spectacular. She knows the products in-store and has knowledge re: online ordering. Brought a light that my parents bought back bc it was the wrong size. I attempted to swap it out with the correct one (as I’ve done before in the past many times). I didn’t have the receipt, but the original item was purchased on my store card. The lady who was working the cash register advised she couldn’t swap them out without the receipt even though I had shown her proof of purchase. I even explained that the other cashiers in the past had no issue doing this. She said she wasn’t authorized to do so, which I understand and respect. However, when I asked to speak to a manager, she said there wasn’t a manager actively on the clock right then. Instead of calling her manager to get authorization to assist me with my matter, she pretty much told me I was out of luck.

The closest and best HFT from my home. All the personnel that work here are great. They always have everything I need.

Good selection of merchandise and the store is always clean. The employees are friendly and helpful, even taking time at the register to thank me for shopping.

I went here with husband he loves the products here and compares prices here are alot cheaper than comparison to other fix it at home shops

We went in to find a tool that we needed to install our new faucet which we were able to find at a fantastic price. We also came across another very helpful measuring tool that we are going to make great use of while doing our renovations on our house.You can buy professional grade tools or tools you need to use every once in a while either way you are going to get a great product for a great price. The customer service is fantastic too.

There is a white girl with glasses that she has no empathy towards customers. She is a cashier. She is like a robot. Like Sheldon Cooper. No feelings. Otherwise is ok. Prices are good.

Bought a Predator Generator for $799. The service was excellent form the cashier to the person that loaded it on my truck.

I have tried to get a broken ratchet warrantied out 5 times now. The manager has displayed poor customer service on several occasions and has brushed me off instead of offering me an alternate option.I spend on average 6,000 dollars every year with this business. I even have the credit card. I run a retail business and I would happily give away 40 dollars to get 6,000 dollars. Thats just poor business. I will cancel my card today and never return.

Like harbor freight can get tools and other things for a reasonable price and not get gouged on buying things

They were out of the paint sprayer on the shelf that we wanted. We asked the staff for one even after they kept telling us we had to wear a mask we told them we couldnt because of health issues. They went and got us one from the back. The young lady was very quick about getting it to us and she was very friendly and was understanding about us not wearing a mask.

Harbor Freight will typically carry most of what you needto get the job done. Keep your phone handy for those 20% single item coupon as well as the weekly freebies.

Probably the worst location out of all of them. The older gentleman was extremely rude and was of no help at all. With retail presence dying you would think that you would at least try and put on a good show. I will drive to North Carolina to Roanoke Rapids next time before I go to the Colonial Heights location.

Wow awful staff. At least what I have seen. I was told by another store that they had a tool in stock. ImThey said they would hold it. I rush to get there . Called store told them I was in-route. And was five minutes late. They had the product up front waiting on me and wouldn’t let me in to purchase it. Told them I just made an hour and a 20 min drive there. Then they walked by me and ignored me. What happened to taking care of your customer? I’ll spend my money elsewhere

First time here, read many reviews in tools and they seem comparable to more expensive brands. Think i will be visiting here first when buying tools

Great tools at a low price

Not really name brand manufacturers but often adequate for the homeowner.

Good overall shopping experience. Lots of sales and they make it easy to take advantage of specials by sending out emails with a link to their inventory. They also have a no hassle return policy.

Always a good place to find a good deal on tools. Great for diy or a one and done guy. Been buying tools here for years and havent had any issues

Love this store.. Can find anything and everything you need...Ive found some cool tools and cool items for hobbiest such as airbrushing and wood carving/burning!! I suggest taking a walk around the store and looking at all the end caps!!

Nice store. Just did not have the right product.

The store was clean, and well stocked, but I went there most specifically looking for a mallet to use on my job, and while they have plenty of them, even in different sizes, but they were all the same color, and I didnt want to buy one thats the same color as my coworkers, who told me where he bought his! I wanted another color, so it would be easy to differentiate between ours. That being said, I did see a tool bag there that I decided to buy, along with the mallet.

A surprising mix of equipment and tools .. heavy duty air compressors and hand tools to every day handy stuff. Prices run about average, maybe a bit higher. Nice store, checkout was easy; cant speak to returns or help with some sort of equipment set up, didnt need those services this time.

Bought over $40 of merchandise. Presented my coupon for my free item and was told they did not have any out of the 3 tool bag, lantern or drills. Claimed they gave out the day before. Coincidentally the supply truck was there at the time being loaded. I was very disappointed. Spent over $250 at the store in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Shop at your stores regularly.6

Cant beat the prices, especially when you have their coupon book or a Harbor Freight coupon app! I mean 0.99¢ tape measures with coupon certainly still worth it no matter how cheaply made. Nothing in this store is going to be top of the line quality so I wouldnt buy my favorite power tools here. But tools that you rebuy often due to excessive use you might as well pay as little as possible for multiples.

Bought a bottle jack for my vehicle back in December with a coupon. Needed to change a tire a few days ago and it didnt move one inch. I took it back into harbor freight with the box in new condition and they told me there is nothing they can do. I understand Im past the 90 return period but if thats how youre going to handle this I have no reason to EVER buy from there again. This is just expensive garbage.

I went in today because I had a 25% coupon. I needed an inspection camera and a few other things. On a huge sale day there where two employees in the entire store so the check out line weaved through the store. Then the second person came up and there was a mad rush on her.I know you have to watch what you buy and the fine print on the coupons excludes a lot of tools. I think from now on I will do some better research. I can usually get better quality for about the same.price at Clear-m-Out tools on Rt 10 in Chester.

After ordering the status online remained pending over a week. I need a wood splitter. So, I began contacting customer service via email and phone.Harbor Freight had marked the item shipped and COMPLETE and CHARGED me when I havent received anything. HOW???Again, nothing but automated APOLOGY for long response times for customer service. That doesnt excuse robbing me of over $800.What are yall doing??? FIX IT!

Great service. Made a phone call direct to the store and they had the item waiting for me. There online site does not offer the pay-and-pick up at the register service, which would enhance their website with that option for the customer.

When you need a tool check here first! Much less expensive than anywhere else. They always have coupons with free stuff!

Sold out of the special flier items. Seems that to be able to get large items you have to pay to have it brought to their store. This is not home delivery this is for an item sold in the store. By the tine you go through the hassle of store delivery you may as well have ordered online. Coupon took off 200 dollars store delivery adds 93 truck home delivery is 160+

Great store even better now thats theres one closer to my house. Looking for tools at low cost they got em. Looking for pelican style cases w/pluck foam (like for ur rifle) but dont wanna pay $400 they have them too for less than $200.

Kinda neat place for basics. You have to know your equipment, lots of knock offs that wont serve you for an extended time. But very good for basics or if you dont use the inexpensive power tool often. Nice to have HF around! Very nice employees, too.

Not Very Good! The Clerk was in a hurry said she was not supposed to be working. I went to Harbor Freight to purchase a Battery Charger had a 20% Coupon, Wife picked up a couple inexpensive items so when the young lady rang the items she took the 20% off a $5.00 item rather than the $35.00 item for which it was intended. I realize the 20% is for 1 item but where does Common Sense kick in ? Not Happy with this at All. Note, first time had bad experience at Harbor Freight after many visits.

Very impressed the selection of items they sale. The selection of tools and other household items are very resonable especially if you have their coupons for additional discounts. The best part is that they are a lot closer than the store on Hull Street in Richmond. Another nice fact....is the staff is very helpful in helping you find the items you are looking for.
