This is one of my favorite Target locations. The staff are very kind, everything is very well organized, and if you ever have an unusual situation, like if you need a lot of an unexpected item, or if you order something for pickup and its something very fragile, Ive noticed repeatedly that the staff take good care of their customers here and take extra care with your shopping before you can ask. If anything, they seem surprised when you thank them, like theyre used to being yelled at for not doing even more, though the customer service is already so excellent. In particular, there are some splendid younger people working in Electronics and Toys who have given me fine advice on which gift is most popular or will suit a particular person best, and I am endlessly impressed with the effort in Childrens Clothing, which may be the best-kept and organized department in town. There is also a lovely selection of seasonal decorations here and their school supply department is uncommonly good. Target doesnt necessarily beat the blue-and-yellow logod store next door on price, but for what a persons time is worth, being able to hear from a kind person on what you should buy, and not having to wait 45 minutes in line to check out? The slight difference is worth it, and also the childrens clothing wears somewhat better.

“Eh”. It’s a target, but good grief has it gone downhill this past year. We know the tri cities isn’t the premier shopping spot compared to Richmond, but don’t treat us this bad, guys!

I enjoy Targets cleanliness and bright well stocked stores. Everything is better at Target, from the shopping carts that roll so nice and smooth to the store employees who are always pleasant and helpful.

Honestly I love target and I definately will continue to shop there. This recent experience however was very annoying. I try to buy 2 phone cases and AirPod case off clearance only to get to the checkout and be told they couldn’t sell it to me because apparently these are items that are being pushed out of the system and they can’t be purchased. Meanwhile there are a ton a of those cases still sitting back there and I even told the employee that there were a ton of them back there and she made no effort to get some one to remove theses items from the shelf. If you ask me they shouldn’t even be on the shelves if you can’t sell them.

My mom thought she ordered drive-up but ordered in-store pick up and we didn’t know and didn’t have masks. I called customer service and explained the situation and a really kind male employee brought out her items to us. He was super nice and didn’t have to do that. I thought it really exemplified a level of customer service that isn’t seen much anymore and as a high risk immunocompromised person who also doesn’t want to get anyone else sick, that meant a lot. Thanks, nice dude! Hope your manager sees this!

Only one register open besides self-checkout! Even self-checkout is backed up 10+ people. Long lines, annoyed customers, and I feel sorry for your cashiers. They can only do the work of one person. Covid is no excuse for poor customer service. Need more lines open.

This morning 10/23/20 I called the colonial heights target store to ask if my pick up order could be drive up delivery instead due to some physical restrictions. I heard a very pleasant voice on the other end who identified herself as Courtney. I explained that I had a pick up order but meant for it to be drive up. Courtney explained it was no problem. Just call the store when I arrived and they would gladly bring it out for me. I called when I arrived courtney picked up and said, ok ms. Hobbs will be right out with your order. Seconds later it arrived. I just want go say thank you to Courtney and the young lady who brought it out to me. I really appreciated it. I never had to say anything when I arrived and called back. Cause I was thinking I wouldhave to go all thru it again. Nope, I just wanted to give courtney a compliment and let you know how great she is. Thanks againJ hobbs

Associates helped me store was clean n organized

I went there for a Christmas toy that was advertised as being available on the Google here. Sadly once I made the trip, from the East end ill add, an employee was kind enough to look up the toy on her system. The toy was not there and she explained to me that the website is often wrong as people can make mistakes with inputting the information. My advise, for all stores that offer product availability on their site is to call ahead of time.....my two cents.

Great selection and for the most part, the staff are friendly, (with the exception of one of the front desk customer service employees). I spend a great amount of time in this store and have since the day they opened up. After all of these years, I have no other complaints besides the 1 employee.Most all of the employees are always making sure that I find what I am looking for and eager to please. The store is always kept clean and organized. I have been in the store with my children during an earthquake, as well as when power went out and the store became dark. On both occasions, the store employees kept everyone calm and lead us to safer areas. They are all very professional.The pharmacy staff treat their customers like family. Always the kindest folks and always smiling. I always look forward to seeing them when I pick up medications.

Target makes it easy to shop there. The carts are always in good condition. The stores are always clean and bright. Prices are good, and even better with the Red card. I dread going to other places (begins with W) and enjoy shopping at Target. Plus I love looking through the clearance end caps.

I truste the quality of the products that Target sells. Unlike Wal-Mart and other sellers Target sells a high quality product for a reasonable price. Sometimes being cheap just means lower quality.

This store did not treat me like the other Target I went to. The manager would not make a special exception to exchange my x box controller that was maybe 20 days over the return date on the receipt. Then I went to the electronic department to buy another controller but there was no worker in site to help me. Luckily one of the pegs was not locked so I just slipped out the controller myself. Then I go to pay for it at self pay and press the help button and no one responds. I asked the workers that were ten feet away from me just chatting if someone was going to help me. I told her no one was in electronics and she did not apologize. Finally I pay for the controller. Then I get home and see the seal was already broken so the controller was most likely tampered with. Finally I set it up and immediately the controller was not functioning properly. One of the buttons was damaged and I could tell it had been tampered with. So my visit was a complete waste and no I have to go back. I have been a sales manager for years at Macys and I have never treated a single customer the way they treated me. I am going to return the controller and ask for some sort of store credit for all the time and gas I wasted. This Target sucks and something should be done about it. I think next time I will go to Wal-Mart!

I would not have been able to go in the store and get the items and get them to my car. I was buying three huge plastic storage containers and they brought them out on and helped me load them in my car. Was very pleased.

I love that I can have a red card debit and get 5% off everything I buy and dont have to have a credit card. I love the cartwheel app. I check the app every time I shop there and I always have extra coupons or percentage off of something I am purchasing that day.

No complaints here. I was pleased to see how many registers they had open a few weeks ago, near the beginning of December. Most Targets I patronize have an issue with this, especially during *less* busy times of the year. Pharmacy crew is great!

They have a decent selection of things, but its hard to comfortably look through them; they go overboard on theft prevention tactics, to the point where you feel uncomfortable standing still to look at something. I get followed around whenever I come in and its not discreet at all. Overall just an uncomfortable experience, but if you can put up with that the store is well stocked and clean usually.

The area that this Target is in, can only be described as ghetto. This store does a surprising amount to fight that. Generally tidy and clean, well stocked and cleans up trash within their property limits. Not leaving it there for weeks on end like most places in the area.

Half of the store smells like old fry oil from the food place at the front door. a large percentage of the time I go here, there is some sort of alert beeping over the store loudspeaker and they dont fix it or turn it off.

I wasnt very impressed. I went there looking for shorts for myself and water shoes for the kids. The only water shoes in store were for infants and grown men. The only shorts they had above a size 6 were knee length. Its the middle of summer... Why dont you have much summer stuff?

I experienced very bad customer service at target today. Neither I nor my family will shop at this target ever again. Their prices are a lot higher than their competition, its just not worth it to shop here in the first place.

Whilst not every little thing is there, it is a great place to get your everyday needs.

SELLS EXPIRED GROCERIES, CHECK PACKAGING BEFORE YOU PURCHASE: Although target is my favorite store, this location is horrible. Twice I had to take back food that was expired (boxed snacks). On one occasion, separate from the previous, I told the manager that ALL of the Oikos yogurt on the shelf were expired (thankfully he did handle that immediately). I visited this location on June 20th to pick up a few items, I ended up leaving the store with nothing. The daisy sour cream had an expiration of June 18th (all of them were two days expired). I was also going to get some frozen cheese sticks, target brand, and every single box in the freezer had an expiration date of MARCH 2018, THREE MONTHS OLD, its ridiculous. IF you get groceries at the Colonial Heights Location, BEWARE, check the packaging for expiration dates. I have also noticed that some of the boxed groceries are often damaged, torn/crushed boxes. TARGET PLEASE HELP THIS LOCATION BEFORE YOU LOSE LOYAL CUSTOMERS. I spend thousands of dollars per year at Target! DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, no excuses!
