They have some nice things there but the prices need to come down a little bit. In this day and age some people cannot afford high priced electronics or appliances for that matter. But the people were nice.
Made appointment to have iPhone battery replaced after speaking to Apple and Best Buy by phone. Replacement supposed to take 30 minutes. Arrived and the smartalec “Geek” told me it wouldn’t be ready till the next day. When I said I was told it would take 30 minutes, he said that “we’re not Apple, we’re Geek Squad”. Further, he indicated that the phones often didn’t survive the battery change and suggested replacing it. Had the battery replaced at Fruit Fixed in 20 minutes- works great. Apple needs to remove these bone heads as a “Certified” repair center.
At least its open... prices are pretty easy to beat else where but they have a great selection.
Went in with my 2 (adult) daughters. We had done some preliminary research on the phones we needed. We went in to look for 2 phones and 1 tablet.Saturday afternoon, and we were coming straight from a soccer game, and our team wears blue shirts -same color as Best Buy team members.We were greeted quickly and I found the phone I wanted with the help of a lovely young man. He found one unboxed for me and while he assisted my daughter, Ed took over my transaction. He and his manager found me every possible discount, and made sure that I had the right phone for my needs.My daughter found the phone she wanted, so Ed worked to get us all sorted out. We opened a charge, and the longest wait was Ed waiting for the manager to okay our additional discount.The store was jumping and was.so busy that a darling older woman came up to me to find someone to help her. I sent her to customer service where she found the help she needed.While Ed was gallantly helping my daughter and me, my other daughter was looking for a tablet. Ashley, who was new to the store, was very helpful and she and my daughter found me a replacement for my tablet as well, making multiple trips from the back of the store back up to me at the front counter.For the two phones, cases and screen protectors, with a new credit card, Ed and his manager found us over $500 in discounts. (This was without trading in our old phones. ) He got my phone turned on and set up to my number and arranged for my daughters phone to be delivered in two days.We took up close to 2 hours of his time, mostly because of waiting for a manager and for a frozen system computer to start working again. Ed was amazingly helpful, never looked or acted frustrated and made a trip to the store that I had honestly dreaded, a delightful afternoon.
The website is easy to navigate and if they have what your looking for at a store nearby itll let you know so you can just ride over and get it right then. I do like that. 4 stars because both the website and the store are great got everything in that line you could want, but a bit pricey but again everything is a bit pricey these days.
Just went in to browse and check prices.Found that they were sharply more expensive than other outlets and sources.I am not tech savvy, but not stupid either. TVs were more than other outlets, though the specs seemed to be equal.All in all I felt that best buy was really out of touch with their customers. I will say I was in store for about an hour. At no time was I approached by any sales people. I found that to be odd.
Brought a dell computer there the screen cracked so easily. Was told it was covered through warranty. Took of work and go there. They tell me the warranty only for software. They never said anything about the hardware warranty when I purchased the computer. Spoke to geek squad They wouldnt do nothing. Asked for a manager this punk with his hair pulled up like a girl comes out and tells me the people who sell it on the floor are trained to ask you this stuff. They were basically calling me a liar do not buy anything from them they come with all excuses. Worst customer service ever. Then you cant even call the store or the company. What are they hiding. Bought the protection plan for my phone through best buy because they claimed it was better than Verizon. That protection plan was only good for 2yrs and wasnt explained that. Go with Verizon for your protection plan at least it last for years.

Mike, David, Jemarius & Anthony...These are some of the BEST managers & associates Ive ever run across at a Best Buy location, from here to Texas and in between.Easy to talk to, patient and willing to go the extra mile.. Truly rare to find such people willing to go above and beyond like they dis for myself and my family.We will enjoy the new stainless Samsung stove, microwave and dishwasher, not only because they are great products, but even more so because we know we werent robbed in our purchase, then treated like nothing once the money was spent.You should promote or give these guys a pay raise... Be sad to lose such good help in todays age of laziness!

There is only one control panel and that is on the front door. The owners and shop manual shows no other thing called a control panel. So how could we have tampered with one?Now that you have the real pictures showing our unit I ask in my defense to see what pictures, of what unit, Sacret showed to you as being ours that we had somehow tampered with a NON EXISTING control unit.Your delivery person is not only rude to your customers but also lies in reporting to YOU!You believe him now?Show me your proof by sending me his pictures.Finally we have complete a home security system inside and out our home. After reviewing all cameras I can prove that At no time ever did either delivery person have a camera out and was taking pictures.Why? Answer is he is a liar!

There isnt enough workers on duty. I waited for help for about 20 minutes. All I needed was a laptop charger. What could have been a grab and go was a 30 min wait total. Store was clean. Covid precautions, staff very friendly. Just not enough staff at the time.
Best Buy customer service was on point! We couldnt find the laptop we were looking for unfortunately but the help was appreciated anyway. Always love when theres friendliness in the service.

Best Buy is horrible. My Babe brought me the Galaxy Fold for my birthday. It was supposed to be delivered to my address and signed for. I had two weeks to return it. I called Bestbuy and they said it was delivered, they have no signatureI notified them that I didnt have it. Found out it was delivered to my neighbor. I took back to Bestbuy unopened and they will not return it. Stuck with a $1800 phone I dont want. Their customers service sucks and they keep hanging up on me. Will not let you speak with a manager....just horrible. This is how you treat your elite plus member

I stood looking at a printer, reading the limited information available and exploring its features - I wanted to purchase it - but no one bothered to acknowledge my presence after 10 minutes, so I left. I should have been easy to see because I was wearing a lime green hi-vis jacket. And, the associates were just busy with each other, not another customer.I guess Ill have to rate my purchase from Amazon.
This review is for Geek Squad. I cant say one bad thing about the Geek Squad crew at the Colonial Heights location. I have always gotten top notch service there. Not only are they informative and professional but, they are patient in explaining things that are beyond my capability of understanding.I see a lot of reviews with people complaining they cant get a walk in appt or the product they want isnt available or thier phone cant be repaired that same day.First of all, DONT be blaming Geek Squad or ANY of the employees for any of this. Its company policy to make an appt prior to coming in now and it has been for the last few years. You yelling at them isnt going to change that. They shouldnt be risking their jobs to get you in because YOU failed to find out prior. Yes. Its annoying to drive over for no reason but, you have no one to blame but yourself for that.Second, there have been lots of changes since the lockdowns happened last year. A lot of places couldnt recover and a lot of places are still feeling the effects. Inventory is low at a lot of places and some Best Buys are included in that. Some stores closed down and this location is taking triple the work now so be patient and stop being demanding and rude.Lastly, and this is for the nasty people I have witnessed there who were yelling at the employees because their phone screen couldnt be addressed at that time. Again, MAKE AN APPT! Also, if you were more careful with your phone, you wouldnt be there to begin with. THEY didnt drive over your phone, leave it out in the rain or throw it at your boyfriend because he was cheating, YOU DID so, if it takes longer to get to your repair done or it cant be done, its not anyones fault but your own. Stop acting entitled and disrespectful and theres no reason to give a bad review because you cant take better care of your toys!The whole crew is great and hard-working. Stop expecting instant gratification and accept things for what they are and understand they are doing their best. Id you have patience, youll have a bettwr experience.

Buyer beware. We bought an Insignia tv over a year ago. At about 10-11 months the set developed a problem. The tech came out and did the paperwork for us to get a replacement. Because the paperwork was not submitted properly we did not get a replacement. When we called to see what was taking so long our set was just out of the one year manufacture warranty. We worked with Best Buy to get it fixed. The tech that came out to fix it said that if we had the extended warranty the set would of still been covered. So think what you will I still view this as blackmail of sorts because we didnt want to pay for the extended warranty when we bought the set. Best Buy drug their feet long enough to void their own product warranty. Pretty sorry for a business to operate that way.UPDATE:. Sorry Best Buy but, were replacing the TV with one we purchased at Target. Never again will we buy electronics at Best Buy.
Alway a manager on the floor or someone with excellent advice. Rewards good 2 build up over time an online. If you go pick up an order or something an you remember you wanna check or order something new these people can do it.

Very bad customer service. Wanted to exchange a Blu Ray because the disk was defective and the movie skips a lot. They didn’t have the title (took them almost half hour to look for it) so I was offering to exchange it with a similar title that’s about the same price. They say they could exchange it but I have to pay $8 more. What is worst is that I order the item when it was on sale and Best Buy cancel it on me. I should be able to exchange for that item already since they don’t have the defective item in stock. I’ve already wasted almost an hour so I was willing to get a refund. The store manager say that I can only get store credit which I didn’t want because customer service was so bad I don’t want to come back. I got told them I waited an hour for this and it’s bad customer service and the store manager asked me to leave the store. Even after I told him let’s just work it out he wouldn’t hear me. I have never been treated this way and this is totally out of line.
Store is always in clean whenever I visit.. I generally know what Im looking for and where to find it, but when I happen to need assistance, theyve always been friendly and helpful.

Best but is great. The 1 star is for the geek squad which is not so great. The knowledge that I needed an appointment to drop of my tower after unhooking it and driving a half hour to get to the store would have been helpful from the geek who sold me a new tower the night before. Went in today to get my iPhone issue taken care of and Jarrod (if I’m spelling it right) was amazing for his awesome customer service excellence. I requested him to assist me because I remembered what an amazing person he was to my mother for exceeding the expectations of customer service in meeting her needs. He is very knowledgeable and always very pleasant with a positive attitude that will be sure to uplift anybody’s spirit. I never liked coming to this location before because getting any kind of assistance was a struggle but things have changed and I’m glad that there are finally store associates like Jarrod that will go above and beyond to make sure your shopping experience is always a pleasant one. Thank you for Jarrod for caring and making the difference because this matters and it’s the only reason why we come to Best Buy when we need something.

I love visiting Bestbuy for electronics. They have great prices & products. My last visit, I parked in designated area for my purchase to be brought out to my vehicle because of Covid...followed instructions to let them no I was outside waiting but no response. Took so long I had to go inside to pick up my order. They had no idea I was there. This needs to be worked on, if they expect this pickup service to work.

So today I went in looking for a universal screen protector for a new phone knowing that Id need to buy a universal one, possibly a case just to get by until the case and screen protector that actually fit come via mail. I did get greeted and pointed in the right direction ... But not asked if I needed help its because i asked then I had another question, guy seemed nice at first then proceeded to be kinda rude about the case not fitting the phone. I know its not the specific one for the phone but id like to protect it until then so if I could try a few on it too see and make do with whats available would be great. So next time please be considerate and help, dont treat me or anyone like an idiot.

We entered the store to buy a cell phone holder, I saw a sales associate and motioned that we needed assistance with no prevail, so I walked over to him asked about a cell phone holder recommendation, his response was he really couldnt reccomend one but he did know which ones were returned the most.We made a decision on a 14 dollar cell holder and proceeded to check out, the female sales associate was conversing with a Male coworker while we stood there for over 10 minutes, the only customers at check out mind you, cashmere never stopped talking to coworker, so we walked out the door with product, turned around and came back in cashier still in same conversation with coworker, so we interrupted and told how she ignored us the customer and that she should pay more attention to he re e job, we recieved a look and blunt check out with no apology.Would not reccomend.

Ok, most stores advertise curbside pickup as being a benefit now because its contact less, COVID and all... just dont do a curbside pickup with BESTBUY! You will be waiting for nothing and still have to go inside and speak to someone anyway. Save time and just go inside. I did an order for curbside pickup. It said In store pickup was closed. I did everything I was supposed to do when I got there. It tells you what to do on the sign in the curbside parking spaces.Well, I waited and waited and waited... until I just couldnt stand to wait anymore and just went inside. They didnt even know I was there. I had to give the information to the guy all over again. Some set up they got. It sounds good but itll just piss u off. I gave 3 stars because I do like the printer I got, but i would have went to Walmart if they had the same one than to deal with that...
Alex is by far the worst manager I’ve ever experienced. I was sold damaged goods, put on hold for an hour, and was told it was all my problem. I do not recommend them for any of your car audio needs. People are having difficulty being able to afford anything outside of household expenses why would you treat customers that way. Do not use the colonial heights location for install!! I repeat do not use that location. Also, your packages come fully exposed. There was no protection for my audio deck and any and everyone saw what I ordered because of how it was packaged and left on my doorstep
I went to get an SD card. The checkout and customer service are being done at the same counter with one person trying to do both. There were serval people standing around, not sure what their purpose was but it should have been to jump in and help. The guy checking his phone (guess he was security/mask monitor) standing at the door was no help when I asked where else I could checkout. Needless to say, I put it back and left. They need to get a better system in place.
No wonder they are going out of business, they close at 7pm and were turning people away at the door! Most people work until 5pm! We went to Lowes and gave them over $2,000 on a washer and dryer set instead.

There’s a fine line between good customer service and Loss prevention stalking. I like the brand merchandise, selection, and value at most Best Buy locations, but get a different vibe from this store vs my preferred store in Short Pump near my home. Only stop in when visiting my mom, reserve purchases for stores with a more inviting atmosphere .
Manager named Austin was very unprofessional cussed me out would they would not let me get a product that I bought they said it had already been sold 7 days ago very unprofessionalism for this store
Horrible store. Best Buys automated system will have you on hole for forever. Do yourself a favor and just order it from Amazon since Best Buy doesnt care about brick and mortar customers! Their customer service line is also outsourced making it impossible to have your concerns heard.As for the store one of the managers needs to be fired. He has no customer service skills at all and will literally walk away from you instead of talking directly. Ive never seen such a sad excuse of a man!
The one star is for geek squad. I left my phone with them so my screen could be fixed, and after I returned for it I later noticed that my photos and google photos had been opened. There is NO reason that my photos needed to be opened.

Had an item we needed asked a sales associate showed them a picture they handed me the product stated there was an adapter in the box. There was no adapter nor is one available. Had to make a second trip back to return.
During covid I would not recommend. Angle from electronics doesn’t know proper customer service. No workers have identification where I can acknowledge them from the customers. When asked for help I was giving a rushed answer and he didn’t even stop walking so I didn’t hear the answer to my question.
Deceptive bait & switch tactic. I ordered an item during their 2020 Black Friday sale on Black Friday. And it was delayed. A month later on 12/26/2020, the item was shown to be in stock at regular price at my prearranged pickup store, Colonial Heights, VA. And conveniently Best Buy sends me an email saying that theyre CANCELLING the order because allegedly they dont know when theyll be getting any more in. No offer to purchase the same in-stock item at the store for the discounted price or some sort of discount discount or voucher to compensate.Word to the wise... Avoid buying from Best Buy. While I understand that everyone makes mistakes, youre better off buying your electronics from Target, Amazon, NewEgg, or even Walmart. At the very least they value your business and have enough business ethics to make things right when they made a mistake. I dont feel sorry that Best Buy will be going out of business soon.

Terrible service. I had a curbside pickup order ready. I went to go pick it up and checked into the link that was given to me. I was told I would be given my order within 5 minutes. I called the store after 20 minutes with no answer, because I was put on hold. By that time I was disappointed with the whole ordeal. I was seeing multiple employees with their blue shirts walking around the entrance outside. I went inside the store to customer service and told the two women working my issue. There was no line; therefore, they were not busy at all. All of this just for 1 item. To make matters worse, I have to return the item that I received because it was incorrect to my knowledge.

I went into Best Buys in Colonial Heights and was Grilled at the door. All I wanted was to look at cell phone cases and additional supplies and a laptop computer. The guy at the door asked me if he could see my phone. I told him absolutely Not. I then went over to the Cell Phone Department and the guy who was working in the department (he wore glasses) acted like he was doing me a favor. In other words did not want to wait on me but had to. That was the worse experience I have had since the Covid-19 has come out. I will never go into a Best Buy Store Again. They make you feel.like you are a Criminal. Just want to let you know I did buy my cell phone case and laptop computer but not from Best Buy. What happened to having manners?
