I had my serger repaired at Collingswood Sew & Vac. I was quite impressed with the customer service I received. The repairs were made quickly and the cost was reasonable. My machine is like brand new. I am very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend Collingswood Sew & Vac.

I went in on Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm. I had three items that needed service. I was greeted warmly and my issues were detailed and I was given an explanation of how the three items would be addressed. First, i have two vacuum cleaners that are not working properly. I was surprised when I did not need to leave a deposit. I was even more surprised when they explained how I will get an estimate first… Later that night I received an email about the sewing machine that needed a cord and foot pedal. A detailed choice to get new ( with pricing and timeline ) or used ( also with pricing and the ability to pick up on Thursday) was offered. I am so happy with the service and professionalism. Honestly, I feel like family. They have won my business.

My wife and I needed a canister type vacuum cleaner to replace a 20+ year old canister vacuum. Jim showed us some options and answered all our questions and we bought a great replacement. Friendly, professional service at a very reasonable price.

This is a fantastic business! All the staff are excellent -- professional, clear communicators. Very good prices and speedy communications by email and phone. Highly recommend! They sell new items (I bought a display model Miele vacuum for an excellent price) but more important, especially for people who care about conservation, they are expert at repairing machines that can last for decades.

Took my canister vacuum in for repair unfortunately its so old they arent able to get parts for it. They were very nice and showed me some models to replace it. They did not pressure me to buy one on the spot just provided information. They have decent prices so if you are looking for a vacuum check them out.

I rarely use Google Reviews but this is worthy.Mark, the owner of the Collingswood Authorized Sew and Vac, is such a great guy! My 40+ year old Singer sewing machine finally decided to kick the bucket toward the end of making 20 face masks. I finished the masks by hand but I wanted a new machine to replace it. I quickly discovered that the stock of sewing machines at Amazon, Target, Walmart etc was nonexistent, I guess due to the pandemic. So I called Mark. He had a great sale going on, and I ended up with a Baby Lock Molly with a needle threader : ) - much better than my old Singer. And he offered to drive it to my house. And he threw in a case for $30.This guy is amazing! Not to mention that if I ever need it repaired he does that too! Cant beat that. Thanks, Mark!

Was not happy with customer service

I was researching online for a new vacuum cleaner and my search brought me to this store. I knew I wanted a Miele and sent an email to the store on a Saturday night with a few questions, not expecting an answer until at least Monday. Mark responded within minutes - late on a Saturday night - and answered all of my questions and provided great info. After a few days of more questions and research, I was at the store the following Wednesday to pick up my new vacuum. Marks customer service was outstanding throughout the whole process, and he offered a sale price that was at least $125 lower than a dozen other prices listed online. I cant recommend this store enough. You will not be disappointed.

I found myself needing a very small part for my sewing machine and Collingswood Sew and Vacuum was recommended to me. I sent an email and Mark responded very quickly. He told me he thought he had the part and two days later I received it in the mail. I took my vacuum cleaner here to be repaired. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took there time to explain things in detail. They did there best to fix my vacuum at an affordable price. They even told me the best place to park on the side of the building. They had my vacuum repaired and ready in the time frame they stated. When my vacuum cleaner was returned, it looked way better then it did when I dropped it off. Very impressive. They even took various payment options which was great since I forgot to stop at the bank. It came highly recommended and I agree completely.

Wonderful experience!I decided to buy a serger while the world was going through the COVID pandemic so while I couldnt go into the store Mark- the owner- was ver accommodating to my needs.We corresponded over emails to find which machine would best suite my needs. I found them to be very honest, fair with pricing, made great suggestions, and quite helpful when it came to payment.They stayed late at the store when I came to pick it up. The definitely made me feel like the small town shop was invested in me as much as I was them!!

Absolutely love this place. my sewing machine was having tension problems and I tried fixing it for years. tried everything that the internet could recommend but I finally caved and brought it here. it was a cheap machine that was given to me as a gift so I was nervous about being charged more than the machine was worth. These guys offered a free consultation and called me to let me know an estimate of how much the repair would be. once i gave them the go ahead, they said if we find anything else wrong with the machine during repair, well call you before continuing. LOVE THAT.got the machine back two weeks later and its working better than new. next time something is wrong, this is the first place I will go with my machine.

I also Looked at a few New Machines, found them actually cheaper than Amazon, (my usual Go-to ! They are surrounded by Tons of restaurants and the guys gave me some good tips too. These people are great. Have brought My Sewing Machines here for years. They give you a free estimate in advance, and the work is always done fast (And for Less money than the estimate price they gave me gave me !) A+++ Took in Both My Sewing Machine and My Moms (hers was Old when I was a kid ! ) they fixed both of them quickly and they are both running great, and gave me a free estimate first. I took them to Collinswood because they do the repairs right there at the store, ( 2 other places told me they would have to send them out to be fixed.). And I will use Collinswood again when i need them... 5 stars..!

It is wonderful to have a place that still repairs household goods. I have taken my vacuum cleaner there several times and an anyways pleased.

I came to these guys when my Vacuum broke. They gave me a free estimate, and the work was done Quickly and correctly. While I was there they also showed me 2 new vacuums, a Miele and a Riccar, seemed like good quality, and a quick web search showed me that Collingswood was actually Cheaper than the Internet (!) (Nice trick !) Anyway.., 5 thumbs up.. And i would not hesitate to return when I need them again..

Love-Love this Place ! Came over from Phila with a broken Machine, Spoke to them the next day (after they Looked at it) -they gave me a free estimate - And they do the work right there. ! When I picked it up a few days later, I saw They had a sale on Machines (Big Selection) . and I Bought a 2nd New Baby (LOL- A Babylock ! ) I Now own 6 Machines- Love that i found this place ! and i just WISH this place was closer to my House ! ! - would give them a hundred stars if i could !

I have used Collingswood sew & vac for years. They have always done quick repairs and the guys are very professional. The last time I went in to the store I bought a Miele Vacuum that was $200.00. I had already researched the price and was planning on ordering online. Truthfully, I went to the store because I wanted to see the vacuum in person before I ordered. I was surprised to find that the stores price was lower then anything online including Amazon. Needless to say the vac went home with me that day!

I was quoted more than the price of my sewing machine ($129 for the repair on a $110 Heavy Duty Singer Machine) for a timing issue and when asked if he was sure it would be that much, the man said I had a Ching chong cheap sewing machine and it wasnt worth repairing and proceeded to try and sell me a new one. I googled the problem and it was actually quite a simple fix so I was able to take care of it myself and its working great now but I really would have payed them $60-$75 for it. I got the feeling they were over quoting me because they wanted to sell new things. They dont seem too concerned with creating loyal customers as their customer service isnt stellar. I dont think Ill visit again or recommend them to anyone.

The sewing machine tech helped me to correct something I did wrong and when I corrected it I was able to use my sewing machine to complete my project.

They brought my vintage singer back to life! Very friendly and helpful and incredibly priced!!!

Took my vintage machine there to get a re timing and though the african american man was soo sweet to recieve my machine, they seemed as if they didnt care. The other two guys in the store have bad customer service. They have the attitude of you need our services not the other way around.Just drop off your equipment give you a number to call back the next day to get your quote. They quoted me $98 for my repair. And when I asked if I could be there when they repair it just to watch, so I dont have this problem again they said no because it would be impossible for me to learn.As if I wanted to take their business from them.They dont offer any other help, advice or services. They dont understand the sensitivity of your issue enough to ask you anything. I will not be recommending this place.

Maybe they can fix vacuums, but they sure cant fix sewing machines. They trashed my sewing machine and lied about it. I have since had it repaired by someone who actually knew what he was doing.
